Thank god for Yelp events. Even before this event, we've been wanting to check this place out. After the experience, we definitely wanted to pay them another visit. Vinology is different from other wine stores I've been to. What sets them apart is that this place is intimate and they are very selective on what wines they sell. Unique at a reasonable price. The owner and employees take the time to help and educate you on the wines. Not snobby in any way. They offer classes you can take and learn about the wines (check it out online to book). Saturdays, they open at 4:00 to serve drinks or flights. For Dinner (after 6:00 pm) they have Chef John cook a wonderful feast (menu changes weekly) served buffet style. During the day is served coffee. Lookout Joe and Vinology are connected. So you have the best of both worlds. My Mr and I dropped by for wine after lunch. We had wine by the glass at the cellar. Debra (sorry if I misspelled your name) was there to assist us (thanks for remembering us from the event). She was down to earth. We enjoyed wine by the glass: Altos Las Hormigas Malbec Kermit Lynch Côtes du Rhône rouge Broccardo Dolcetto d'Alba All were good! We also had good conversations with Debra. Owner Michelle dropped by and she remembered us from the Yelp event as well. We talked for a little bit and we will definitely come back for future tastings. Especially on Tuesdays. The whole experience was great. We got to enjoy some wine and purchased two bottles to take home and pair with our meals. We are fans and I can see us as regulars!

We were introduced to Vinology through a Yelp event but have returned for wine by the glass (they have a fairly large and varied selection for Cincinnati) and visited the bottle shop. It's a cozy spot for a glass with friends! The only draw back is finding parking!

My lady and I became big fans of this spot after a wonderful Yelp event here. Everyone was so incredibly friendly and welcoming including the owner herself (and her little dog is undeniably adorable). So we had to stop by for more and we're glad we did. We rolled in on a Saturday afternoon. They share their space with Lookout Joe, a great little coffee shop, so the wine bar opens later in the evening at 4pm. Still, we were able to enjoy a few glasses of wine in the wine cellar shop. Debra, one of staff members, was very inviting and knowledgeable. We enjoyed glasses of Altos Las Hormigas Malbec, Kermit Lynch Côtes du Rhône rouge, and Broccardo Dolcetto d'Alba. All three were excellent, though I especially enjoyed the Cotes du Rhone. Of course, we got a couple bottles to go, and no surprise one was that Cotes du Rhone. We're definitely going back here regularly, especially during the evening on a weekend, when they have a gourmet chef making shareable plates. We might even check out one of their wine classes, like the 10 wines under $20 class. This place has a lot going on and we want to experience it all.

Vinology is a cute new wine bar and cellar in Mt. Lookout. I stopped in to finish up some emails and was immediately welcomed and shown to a comfy chair. You can absolutely tell how much the employees are invested in making this place great. I got to watch them film some social media promos that were delightful. I would definitely stop back in for a relaxing afternoon.

Had a nice time here during their opening weekend! Great selection of wine, loved to see some bottles from smaller US regions (fingerlakes and willamette, not just the standard napa and Sonoma). Staff was very friendly and inviting! We sat outside on the cute couch set-up and had a lovely afternoon with a bottle of Riesling, on the dry side and not too sweet - fun to try something that doesn't have the typical notes.

Michelle was the absolute best! She assisted and welcomed us even though we were super early. She stopped what she was doing and immediately attended to us allowing us to taste several different wine offerings. The aesthetics are super cute. Go the support this wine bar and enjoy it inside or on the patio.

Gorgeous wine bar open at 4 pm most days. ( check instagram for daily hours). The service was great from the time I walked in and greeted. The bartender was attentive and made suggestions . Which all were wins. The spritz was good but the Rosé for the win. There really isn't 1 I don't like like . If you're familiar with the area parking tight but worth the visit. Go patron Vinology and sip some happiness!

The charcuterie board was to die for! We didn't know which wine we wanted and the server was so helpful in deciding. We sat outside with great ambiance. Reasonable prices as well for high quality food and service! We will definitely be back.

    1. Parmesan-Crusted Pork Chop This plate came out looking…read moreserious. The pork chops had that golden, crunchy sear that lets you know the chef didn't cheat the pan. The crust is seasoned well, giving each bite a savory crunch before you hit the juicy center. The sauce on the bottom adds flavor but also runs a little thin, so it doesn't cling as much as you'd expect. The mashed potatoes are smooth, and those crispy fried onions on top add the right texture. Solid, comforting, and flavorful -- just needed a thicker reduction to tighten the plate. 2. Gnocchi with Braised Short Rib Sauce This dish is exactly what comfort food wants to be when it grows up. The gnocchi is soft, pillowy, and coated in a rich, slow-simmered sauce that tastes like somebody took their time building layers. You get a blend of tomato, parmesan, herbs, and that short rib flavor that carries the whole bowl. It's heavy -- in a good way -- and every bite feels like fall weather in a bowl. Definitely one of the stronger dishes. 3. Parmesan-Crusted Chicken with Green Beans & Tomato Relish The chicken is fried to that perfect "crisp but not greasy" level. The parmesan crust gives it a nutty, salty pop, while the tomato pieces add freshness to cut through the richness. The shredded parmesan on top melts just enough to tie everything together. The green beans are cooked right -- not soggy, still with a snap. The side dish (mac & cheese, most likely) is creamy with a buttery breadcrumb top that adds the right crunch. Overall, a well-balanced plate. 4. Spaghetti & Meatballs This is classic Italian comfort done the Cooper's Hawk way. The sauce is thick, tangy, and bright with tomato flavor. The meatballs are tender and seasoned well, and the touch of ricotta on top softens the acidity and makes the sauce creamy as you mix it in. The pasta is cooked right -- not mushy, not stiff, easy to twirl. Simple, hearty, and dependable. Overall Impression Cooper's Hawk came through with a table full of comfort and richness. Everything was plated well, seasoned properly, and cooked with intention. The standout dishes are the gnocchi and the parmesan-crusted chicken, but nothing on the table missed the mark.

We tried the Grilled Mahi sandwich ($17.99) and the Soup & Sandwich combo ($19.99). A glass of wine was $11 and a soft drink was $4.99. $70 with tax and tip. The term "upscale" seems to have become a euphemism for "more expensive than you thought it was going to be". I rated it 3 stars for several reasons. First, the food tasted very salty, almost to the point of us sending it back but we didn't because we had been waiting almost 30 minutes and were hungry. The slow service was reason two. Reason three was the price point. Five bucks for a coke? Twenty bucks for a soup and sandwich? The food was OK but the value just wasn't there. And reason four was the noise level. It was so loud I couldn't take an incoming cell phone call. Having said all that, they didn't seem to be hurting for business on a Friday afternoon so all I can say is it seems there are a lot of people out there who really like the place. If you're one of them, I think you'll find this Coopers Hawk a great place for lunch or dinner.

He also seemed very willing to look for a particular wine that I have been trying to find, can't seem to find it sold in the metro area! He looked while we were there and told me he may be able to get some. The place itself is a house repurposed thoughtfully to create a comfortable browsing experience. There are tables, chairs and sofa's if you want to hang out, even a few board games laying around. It would be a fun little night out with a small group of friends, there's a very reasonable bottle fee if you want to open a few bottles of wine while you're there. They also have an excellent happy hour from 3:30-close where you can try the wines available for half price each pour, it's a great deal. I would highly recommend checking this shop out whether you're a wino or just a wine wannabe, all are most welcome!

What was a crazy mass of people grabbing for as many chocolate treats as possible has only gotten crazier. Our first visit saw a fighting chance. Now, talking to vendors to learn about them, and their craft is nearly impossible. The stream of people keeps pushing forward, and one gets swept away from the booths. As the event has grow, this has continued to be the case. (All pre COVID, not sure how this will be safely handled in the future.) While we have tried some amazing treats, thus introducing us to some amazing local businesses, it is hard to truly enjoy the experience. Chocolate should be savored. It is hard to do that here. The only exception is the children's play area. This is consistently a ghost town. My children have enjoyed playing the games, gettibg balloons, or whatever else has been offered. The area is kind of like a section of an elementary school carnival.

There were A LOT of different vendors and a lot of chocolaty things to see. I recommend walking through at least once so that you can decide what samples you are most interested in tasting. My only complaint is that the later it gets in the day the more congested the event is. We arrived right when it opened and that was a VERY wise decision. We were kind of crammed together with loads of other pushy people right before we left and that was not ideal. We also upgraded to tickets that included the Bella Luna lounge and wine tasting. This was a great value. Bella Luna provided small bites of (not chocolate) food like pasta and bruchetta. There were 5 wine tastings included in the price and they were very generous pours. I would attend again.
