I had to go when I read about "Thirsty Thursday." Wine flight and cheese tray options were reasonable price. Featured wines were great and affordable! Service was excellent! A nice little wine shop / wine bar. They have a really good selection of wines, and the owner explained to us that they really pride themselves on having a lot of hard-to-find small production wines rather than only big label wines. They seemed to have a large selection of craft beers too, though I'm not a beer person so I can't say much. We went for the Thursday wine tasting which was 5 tastes for $5 and the owner was kind enough to sit and discuss all the wines we were trying with us. They apparently also have more formal tastings with food for a higher price but reservations are required. You can also just stop in for a taste or a glass from their wine tap. read more

So this place might just beat the pants off of Jungle Jims for my wine purchasing. This place is uber cute and very well laid out. They had the show bottles on display where you could see them, along with information about each and every bottle. That is super helpful and I love wine descriptions. They offer wine tastings as well, which I'm almost positive I will be back for, multiple times. Everything is set up mainly by reds and whites and the sweeter dessert wines are off to one side, as well as some more pricey labels/bottles. And the prices.... o goodness. $8-$15 average for a bottle (most in the $10-$12) and darn good wines at that. They also have a decent craft beer corner. If you're looking for plain old boring beer, don't waste your time. I'm pretty sure the most "normal beer" there is Great Lakes and a few different types of Bastard beer, but there's a larger selection. If you have any questions, the staff is super helpful and will do their best. Whether its about a wine, or a location of a wine you liked during your tasting, it doesn't matter. They also have little wine type accessories for yourself or as gifts, as well as specialty seasonal/holiday types. For example they had a chocolate wine concoction for Valentine's day in Jan/Feb. They had me at "daily wine tastings" from their wine-keep, an ingenious contraption that is sorta like a beer tap, but for wine. A Bottle or Two is a brand-spankin' new wine store in the Symmes/Loveland area. They have a very unique selection of wines and the prices are reasonable. We got two hard-to-find wines for around $10-$15 a bottle. They have higher end bottles as well. read more

Here for the #yelp event. They recently sponsored a wine and dine Yelp event that was superb. First off, the parking is a breeze - right in front of the door - quick and convenient. As soon as we walked in the door we were welcomed with friendly staff. The look of the place was warm, clean, classy, and very organized, which is great for those of us who like to peruse but find what we want easily. The staff are very educated in helping us know what we want. Thank Goodness, because I don't always know what I want. One thing that's really cool about this place is the "Sip and Shop" option. Just try one before you buy. We had the opportunity to try 5 different wines. My favorite of the five was Marques de Caceres Crianza 2006 Rioja. My one regret - I forgot to buy the bottle. So I'll be back. There was another sponsor there too - Relish Modern Tapas. LOVED THE FOOD! OMG Amazing. I tried the Piquillo Peppers with Pulled Short Ribs, Lime and Cilantro Hummus, Asian Spicy Shrimp, and a few other items that I don't remember the name of - but I do remember EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING. I had driven by the shop many-a-time going between my parents' house and Fields Ertel. Stepping into the shop for the first time, I was impressed by how big the space was. It's very well appointed and considered. There are coat racks where they're needed, comfortable chairs and plenty of room to stand and taste wine. I enjoyed a really nice wine tasting with food from Relish Tapas. There were several kinds of wine on hand that I'd never heard of before and was happily surprised to discover them. It may be tucked into a strip mall on a hellishly busy road, but you'd never know it from the inside. Great space, knowledgeable staff and lots and lots of good wine. read more

Very fun and great selection of reds, whites and blends. We went for a wine tasting for the Cincinnati Peloton group and found several great reds/red blends. I tasted about 4 wines, all were outstanding and we bought several bottles and have enjoyed those as well. Good craft beer selection too. Something for everyone! I don't find myself near Mason that often - however I am always up for a wine tasting so I jumped at the chance to check out a Yelp event at the shop. This is not your typical wine shop...it is more organized and spacious. This can be helpful for people who are easily overwhelmed. The craft beer selection is also respectable and has lots of singles to allow customers to make custom six-packs. During the actual wine tasting, the staff was eager to explain and help with taste choices. After wondering around the shop, we left with a Zinfandel that we were pleased with. A Bottle or Two is a great wine shop hidden in a strip mall off the main busy roads. As others have mentioned, the store is beautiful and well laid out. A lot of thought went into the design and organization of the store and it paid off well. There's a small section for craft beers and an even smaller display for sake, but the store is primarily wines. I'm not really a beer person but I love wine so I'll keep talking about that. The staff has tried to be friendly but often seemed to come off more awkward than friendly. I did the wine tasting once and the fellow administering our samples tried to make conversation and talk about the wines but it all sounded very scripted. But whatever, he tried and certainly never did anything to offend. The wines we sampled were all top notch and I was particularly entertained by the fancy pouring system they have. Rather than just pouring from the bottles they have a sort of 'wine fountain' that you press your glass against and it pulls a perfect portion from the attached bottle. The wine tasting was reasonably priced at $5 for 5 samples. The wine selection here rivals that of nearby O'Bryans and easily tops The Wine List. If you're looking for a great wine this is definitely the place to start. read more

I know very little about wine. Here's to changing that in 2017 ;) I keep a bottle of red in the house at all times for cooking but what I love to drink is Moscato. Yes, I like my wine sweet, and sometimes sparkling. I stopped in at A Bottle or Two in search of a good Moscato and was very pleased with the customer service. I don't drink wine, really. I'm more of a champagne drinker or a hard liquor drinker. Well, it doesn't matter what kind of drinker I am. I do want to provide some context, because I could not fully appreciate this small shop. I came here for one thing and one thing only, a gift card. Yes, they do sell them! This gift card saved me from hours of puzzling shopping for my manager during the holidays. What I noticed is that they do sell beer and all kinds of doo-hicky gadgets and accessories in addition to wine. They do have "tastings" at their small bar area. When I say "small," I mean small. It's cute but smaller than my kitchen breakfast bar. :) If you like wine or are looking for something for a special occasion (perhaps a red to go with that braised beef you are making tonight?), this is the place. read more

Great place! Very good location, plenty of parking in their parking lot. Staff was very friendly and there was a large selection of beer and wine I was pretty surprised. Very affordable and worth the short trip on a freezing day. Would definitely come again a md like recommend others to stop and buy alcohol here. However no hard liquor just beer and wine! read more

I love this wine store. Go by on thirsty Thursdays and try some of their great wines. My husband and I try to make it a date night, go have some wine and head out for dinner. Excellent little beer and wine store. Opened right around Thanksgiving of 2009 according to the staff. Nice place that understands that not everyone wants to get a $30 bottle of wine for dinner. Great place to pick up a $10 bottle to take home for the night. You can buy a glass of wine all day and try it before you buy it. The only draw back is that only "the beer guy" has any knowledge about the micro brews they carry at the store. If he isn't there, they won't know much about the beers. read more

I love that I get the same service here whether I stop in after work in business attire or if I pop over on the weekend in jeans and a t-shirt. The staff are friendly and really helpful. What can I say? This is one of the friendliest and knowledgeable wine shops I've ever had the pleasure to visit. The staff are awesome, and I cannot remember the last time if ever I used that word! The wine selection is not huge, but it is all quality product. One of the nicest things about this store is their Thursday wine tastings. It has to be one of the best ones in the area. It's been 8 months since I first reviewed "A Bottle or Two" and I can say that if I could give it 6-stars, I would. Every time I go in there, I walk out with the perfect bottle. The employees always ask what I'd like to spend after I describe what I'm looking for - this is a wine store that realizes people have budgets and aren't always looking for a $50+ bottle. Also, with descriptions under every single one of the wines, it can also be a self-service experience but without the walking up and down the aisle and picking a bottle at random - which is what I do at the big-box stores. The labels describe the flavors AND recommend what dishes the wine would be best with. And they'll keep your purchases on file so if you can't remember the bottle you bought last month but loved, they'll remember. And like I said in my last review, there's no sacrifice between quality & price. I recently bought a bottle of red that my husband just wouldn't stop gushing about - he thought it was a super spendy bottle and when I told him it was $11, he told me to buy a case. Finally, they just carry things I can't find elsewhere and introduce me to things I wouldn't normally try - I just bought a white wine from Greece for $19 that I plan to drink all summer.
