My fav wine bar in the city. Super approachable, but also feels upscale, and honestly feels like I am in a different city when I'm inside. The music is always fire and most importantly, the wine is always good. The staff always has great recommendations and keeps me comfortable trying new wines here. I need to come back and try the small bites, I saw them bringing some food out and it looked good!

Wow, stepped into a portal to another place at Hart and Cru. Amazing vibe, great music, unfusay and cozy. Plus great wines! I let the server pick for me and had 3 wonderful glasses of wine including a sparkling dry Riesling that was outstanding. They have limited food but the nuts and olives were a nice addition to our happy hour. They also have nonalcoholic options, be sure to ask. The one that my friend tried tasted just like the real thing. Definitely worth stopping in to be transported to a European wine bar. Can't wait to go back!

Stopped in for a solo glass of wine before heading to a concert. This is a very welcoming space with down to earth wine lovers who provide top notch service and energy. I enjoyed my weight in delicious cheese and bread and savored my glass of Nebbiolo until the last drop. I could have stayed for another hour but I had a show to catch thank you Hart & Cru for treating me right. I'll be back next time.

Kevin Hart, seasoned Sommelier has taken his passion for great wine and opened up a shop in the heart of the Pendleton neighborhood in Cincinnati where you feel like you're enjoying your friend's favorite wines right in their kitchen as you sit at the long table which makes up the heart of Hart & Cru's new storefront. This past Sunday I attended Sunday School curated class on Spanish wines, where there were only 14 of us learning from the best, Kevin and his team, Brittany and Peter what a wonderful time it was learning about 8 unique wine producers in Spain. They provided a detailed map with the cities and regions as well as a tasting booklet with the wines listed in order, key tasting notes, Spanish regional details and I'm ready to jet off to Spain to visit the wineries in person, so until then stop by Hart & Cru for an incredible worldly wine experience right in Cincinnati.

I absolutely adored this place and can't wait to visit on my next trip to Cincinnati. A great location, with charming seating outside, and warmly lit, it was a great place to have a glass (okay, I had two glasses...) of wine on a chilly fall night. Outside heaters really helped! I had a great Bandol rosé (my absolute favorite kind of rosé, more gastronomic than poolside) followed by a glass of Crozes Hermitage by the famous, and recently departed, Alain Graillot. Any place that has Graillot by the glass gets an A+ from me. I had a small dish of olives and they were perfect with the rosé. The glassware was elegant and large, and the server was very knowledgeable and obviously loved talking wine. A curated selection of bottles for sale, I really enjoyed looking around. Highly recommended!

Fun and interesting vibe. Small and a little cramped. They have seating outside. Service was good . Very good selection of wines . Located near Braxton Brewery in the Pendleton area of downtown Cincinnati. So have heart, go check out the crew and enjoy yourself.

Wow! What a gem we stumbled upon while out and about in Pendleton (adjacent to OTR). Details details, details. That's what makes this small wine and food shop a refreshing and enjoyable experience. Details such as large beautiful clay pots with plants surrounding an outside eating area, elegant stemware and fresh rosemary and olive branches on the tables. Then of course there's the main affair-wine: a large selection with emphasis on European varieties. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and friendly.

Stopped in on a whim before a dinner reservation elsewhere and so glad we did! The place was super busy and we did not have a reservation. The staff was very accommodating and made room so we could have a pre dinner drink. The staff was very knowledgeable about the wine selection and made a great recommendations on a wine I would have never tried. The inside is ADORABLE, cozy, and very clean. Definitely a new favorite spot.

Great Customer Service! It's a cute intimate spots with a date or good girlfriends. Cheers to finding a really cute wine spot in OTR. We've been tasting some really good wines that are not sold at your local grocery stores or even your local restaurants. if you get an opportunity, this is a must see and taste, especially if you are a wine connoisseur

Our table ate family style to maximize the yumminess. First up was the raclette. Oh my! The smell of melty cheese pervaded the entire atmosphere. The plate we ordered was generously piled with cheese, ham, potatoes, and some picked veg to cut the richness. I was so pleased, I wondered if we should have ordered anything more. The answer was yes! Other entrees included a delicata squash dish, confit mushroom tacos, a spicy pad thai pancake, and beef stew. Each one was interesting and delicious in its own right. You could tell all the food was carefully curated; from the seeds to give a bit of crunch to the squash to the chicarrón like crisp on the mushroom tacos, I appreciated the clear effort. There was only one misstep- it is a pet peeve of mine that if you ask about what's being celebrated in the reservation that it should at least be mentioned by the host or server. Otherwise, why ask? It is a testament to the great food and service at Oakley wines that I consider it a 5 star experience despite that.

I will be making time in my schedule to go back. We ordered the small cheeseboard and added charcuterie. It contained their 3 main cheeses as well as small bits of fruit, nuts, and other goodies that were located with the cheeses that they would complement. We asked what type of meats came with the "charcuterie" option and we were told "whatever is on the slicer right now" but that they were all locally made- or at least regionally made. That works for me and both selections were delicious. We also bought the special chocolate chip/cheese cookies they had for the event and they were fantastic. What I really want to talk about is the cheese curds though. We bought some to take home (you can buy everything they use on the boards in their retail area too by the way). They're so flavorful and fresh. I'm going to make poutine with those and some fries from Heyday down the street and I expect great things. The space was clean and inviting and the service was amazing. Everyone was kind and knowledgeable about the offerings. We will definitely be back. Thank you!

Mocktails that weren't an afterthought. It was fantastic! Our instructor took the time to explain how everything would work and then we were told to find our pre-assigned stations. At our stations, a lot of the prep work and measuring of ingredients was already done for us. This taught me a lot about prep work and successful cooking. I am not a very good cook and between my aunt and myself, we stayed at pace with the instructor. Absolutely friendly for beginners or those without cooking talent. I will say that I really loved the huge variety of everything in this store. We arrived on a busy Saturday at around noon (won't be doing that again) but easily found a good parking spot in the giraffe lot. I got a cart for my child and it had a baby steering wheel for her to play with to entertain her. You walk in and are instantly overwhelmed by all of the options- in a good and bad way. I don't think the store is messy by any means, it's an organized chaos. We followed the line of people throughout the different sections and strayed away a few times to look at some items. I liked the pickle barrels with 3/$3 whole pickles with different flavors to choose from. There's a HUGE alcohol section so if that is your fancy then you are sure to find what you are looking for there. The customer service was not very good. Workers had AirPods in and when you went to ask a question they acted like you were a huge bother. I will say that the bartenders at the random bars across the store were so nice. Maybe because a difference in roles? Not sure. What REALLY left a huge distaste in my mouth was the cashier and his helper that was bagging groceries. On my receipt it says Walter. I got up to him and said hello and he stared straight at me. After he was done scanning he didn't say anything at all he was just waiting for my card. My mom was right behind me with her items and got the same treatment. She even inquired about what rang up as $32 because it looked like a candy that was scanned came up as that much and he just stared at her as well. No troubleshooting, no help at all whatsoever. It was honestly like talking to a wall. His bagger also had the same attitude but both had no issue speaking to the cashier in the next lane when they had a question amongst themselves. You could just clearly tell they'd rather be literally anywhere else than working on a Saturday. It was honestly ridiculous to be ignored so blatantly like that. Overall if you need any type of grocery under the sun I would say come here. Don't come on the weekend though. I'd maybe come on a weekday during non peak hours and for sure won't be asking for help from any employee.
