Stumbled upon Ripple Wine Bar as my family and I had a long wait at a close by restaurant for our dinner. We are all so glad we stopped in during our wait! First of all, we LOVED the Grateful Dead inspo reflected in the menu and decor. That in and of itself made us want to come back! We were already a little hungry but didn't want to spoil our appetites, as we were going to a birthday dinner, so we split the Mediterranean Plate. It was delicious and gone in seconds! It was the perfect dish to tide us over. Other plates looked delicious, as well! We will definitely have to come back to try more. My mom got the Scarlet Begonia while I got the Casey Jones. We loved our cocktails. They also have an extensive wine menu. I had a class of Gavi and it was great. It's nice that they had an N/A section on their drink menu too. We will definitely be back!
Quick message as this has been my 3rd time here...this is my favorite restaurant in Cincy! Hands down! I've never had a bad meal. Went for restaurant week but of course added more. Service always stellar. Had a bite of my friend's filet after they gave it to her overcooked(gave wrong steak by accident) she didn't even ask and they asked a couple times and could see wasn't perfect to her liking. Best shrimp and grits ever! Roasted grape salad, stfu, so good. Beautiful space, great selection of wines and drinks. This place should get more recognition, so freaking good!!! I've had tuna, shrimp nachos, and that poblano is epic...eat here asap! See you 10/4 Ripple!!
I booked this place for our anniversary. When we walked in, we we're immediately led by the staff to the 2bd floor sit by the glass railing which allows you oversee downstairs bar and kitchen. It's amazing and fun to watch the chef and people coming in and what they order from above! We had their Spanish flatbread which is very tasty and yummy. We also had their beef Wellington popovers, which is delicious! For main course i had salmon and husband had their Mac & cheese. All great, no complains! Very happy! Just surprised that they serve everything use one-time plate which is a little unusual for this type of place. We didn't had dessert but I'm sure it will be great too! This place is a little gem in Covington with lots of wine selection too, and it's 1st floor is bar and 2nd floor mostly restaurant, of course, we drink while we eating too! It's a nice find!
Although I was pretty limited on what I could eat because most items had dairy.... The food that I did eat as well as the service I received, was excellent! We sat at the bar for dinner, during Restaurant week and decided to order a few items off the regular menu. The bartender Matt was great and extremely helpful. He answered all my questions about specific food items and also checked in with the Chef to make sure I could eat certain things. It is a very cute space, I did not go upstairs, but the bar area is very nice. We had the salmon with broccolini and roasted red peppers which was pretty good. We also had the hummus plate - the hummus and pita chips were good, although I didn't really like the quinoa only because it has a very heavy vinegar on it. I did not eat the pierogies because they have cheese in them, but my friend did and really loved them! It is street parking, so be mindful of that.
Super cute space with two floors of seating. The kitchen is on the first floor near the window and if you are seated upstairs, you can look down and watch the food being made. They have half-glasses of wine for purchase, making trying several different varieties easier. We ordered a charcuterie board for starters made up of cheeses and meat that you choose from the list. It came with spiced nuts, pickled think cucumber slices, and herbed butter for the amazing fresh rustic bread chunks. Everything was delicious. We also ordered the truffle popcorn. It came with fresh shredded parmesan on top. Not really a fan. The truffle flavor was great, but the actual popcorn kernels were lacking- quite small and really no taste. I had the shrimp and grits for dinner which was an incredibly unique take on this classic dish. Lots of shrimp and sausage atop the creamy grits. Apparently this venue is hard to get into, we had to opt for a 4:30 pm time, but it was worth it!! I highly recommend checking out Ripple Wine Bar.
Aaron, the Planner and Concierge Extraordinaire was a delight to work with to cater an upcoming event! Also, the Ripple space itself is an AMAZING venue easily seating 20 with a gourmet menu. Not your typical wine bar offering way more than bottles and charcuterie! I had the baked Brie with honeycomb and a Bourbon berry smash for the drink - will definitely be back!
Fun vibe and awesome service! Ripple serves a standout charcuterie board with amazing local cheeses and perfectly toasty bread. We did a tapas style and loved the savory, hot honey flavor on the Sicilian flatbread. It wasn't as crispy in the middle as we had hoped but the flavor made up for it. We also had the chicken meatball, which were fine, but they lacked a standout flavor. Same with the pirogies. Not pictured but also delicious were the brussels sprouts and truffled potatoes. We ended up waiting for these for most of our meal and they only came out at the end. Our server made up for it by bringing out some wine to enjoy with dessert and removing the two items from our bill.
Ripple Wine Bar is the definition of date night. Great food, great service and great vibes! They offer diverse charcuterie boards that you can never go wrong with. I also ordered scallops and salmon. Both were delicious dishes. And you can't forget the most important part... the wine! They offer quite a few diverse options to pair with the tasting menu. Ripple creates the perfect intimate setting for a night out with someone special!
Came here due to a yelp drop in event nearby. Interesting place. Smaller menu. We got the charcuterie board. chose 6 meats and cheeses. Accompanied bread was very good. Small wine pours for the price. Black truffle popcorn was a fail. Not worth it and nothing special. I got the french bread pizza with chorizo. It was ok. My wife liked her shrimp and grits and son liked his mushroom pasta with shrimp added. Service was fine. Needs to have iced tea.
The waitress was very nice! We had no clue what to do for charcuterie board and she just chose the options she thought would be best. The chicken meatballs were great! A nice Mediterranean take, flatbreads were very tasty as well. Cocktails were strong and good, Riesling was great as well. Really enjoyed the ambiance, perfect for a girls night.

All of it perfection My friend ordered off the menu Napa flatbread. Flatbread with Brussel sprouts genius. The wine delicious. Our server was so sweet. Definitely a place to go if you're into wines either big time or just starting out. I'd say my wife and I are somewhat seasoned amateurs when it comes to wine. We know what we like and dislike. Ripple had our choices dialed in. The server was friendly and knowledgeable. The restaurant was set up differently with a loft upstairs over looking the kitchen. The dinner menu was simple yet offered a choice for just about anything. We would definitely visit Ripple again as there are so many other wines and menu options to try.
I would give them 10 stars if I could! The place is beautiful for starters! The service was good and the food was excellent. I got one of the flatbreads with the hot honey which was sweet and delicious while my friend tried the spinach flatbread which is more savory. We loved them both!! We also tried the Brie and it was truly some of the best I've ever had. I've heard they get pretty busy in the late evenings but we went around 4p when they first opened and had the place to ourselves for a while. It's great for a girls night, book club meeting, or date night! I will certainly be back!

Tonight I stumbled into Ripple looking for a glass of wine and ended up finding exactly what I didn't know I needed. From the moment I sat down at the bar, owner Matt and the bartenders made me feel genuinely welcome. They took the time to learn my name, offer recommendations, and check in throughout the evening without ever being overbearing. It's a rare gift to make a solo guest feel seen while still giving them space to enjoy their own company. The food was outstanding. I ordered the baked brie with the honeycomb (trust me, get the honeycomb) and every bite was delicious. The combination of warm brie, puff pastry, honey, and nuts was incredible. Matt's wine recommendation was equally spot on. What impressed me most, though, was the atmosphere. Ripple strikes the perfect balance between sophisticated and comfortable. Whether you're on a date, catching up with friends, or simply enjoying a quiet evening alone, you'll feel right at home. I arrived as a first-time guest and left feeling like a regular. Covington is lucky to have this place. I'll definitely be back. read more

Had a lovely Saturday afternoon here courtesy of a gift card I received for my birthday. My husband and I sat at the attractive, comfortable bar and enjoyed two nice glasses of red - a Barbera and a red blend. We split the six item charcuterie board. Our server was attentive and guided us expertly on cheeses to complement our meats and the assorted goodies, that include nuts, herbed butter and fig spread. The bread from Allez Bakery that comes with the board is outstanding. Look forward to visiting again. read more

I had another wonderful meal at Ripple. This time it was a girls night out and it felt perfectly festive for the holiday. Our server was attentive and happy to make wine recommendations for us. The Malbec was expensive but so good. We shared the baked Brie for an appetizer. I am not usually big on Brie but this melty treat with the pieces of garlic bread hit the spot. I had the ricotta gnocchi for my entree. The creamy truffle flavor with mushrooms was perfect. I love this little Covington gem and even though it can be pricey I think it's worth it for the excellent wine selection and homemade food. read more

Love this trendy little wine bar in Covington! Great place to stop in to catch up with friends over a glass of wine and an appetizer or to have a romantic dinner with your partner! They have a bar that takes walk ins and you can make reservations too. Their servers are great at making recommendations if you have questions about the food or wine, so ask away! You can also order wine by the half glass and half bottle instead, so you can order the perfect amount for you or to split with a friend. They have some great deals throughout the week, like select $10 half bottles of wine during happy hour, which is 4-6 on weekdays (and all day Monday). read more
Went for a group dinner which was in the side room, so I can't review the main restaurant area. Ambiance of the party room was minimalistic and was able to fit one long table of 20 guests. There was music and we were also allowed to bring in a tv to watch the Derby, which was great! One server for the whole group but she did a fantastic job and didn't appear stressed, which is important! The food is small-plates style with 3 regular course options plus sides. Most dishes no matter the course can be shared with at least 2 people. Splitting 1 dish from each course was enough to fill me up, but I saw other couples split up to 5 plates and that was enough for them. I would suggest the baked brie, but avoid the Asian shrimp (too much slaw not enough shrimp.) Although this is a wine bar they had a nice selection of cocktails. Prices were reasonable for the volume, spent about $100 for 3 courses and 2 drinks. Would return. read more

We enjoyed a 4 course prix fixe menu at Ripple for Valentine's Day! Ripple has an extensive wine list and even has has non alcoholic options as well! Their refreshing NA Riesling by Leitz paired well with dinner All of the portions were very generous, we left super full First Course | Cheese Board *Ripple was accommodating to our vegetarian restrictions and doubled up on the cheese instead of the meat! our favorite was the Boursin with the quince jam Second Course | Arugula Salad *The raspberry balsamic vinaigrette was delish! Third course | Shroom pasta *The mix of truffle, orzo and garlic cream was so flavorful! Fourth Course Finale | Flourless Chocolate Torte *It was airy and rich the raspberry compote was so fresh Docked 1 star because I made these reservations a month and a half in advance for Valentine's Day and they reached out only 1 week before to say that it is a prix fixe menu and we just had the 1 vegetarian entree option. The mushroom pasta was good but we had pretty much no choice or time to book another restaurant if there weren't veg options for us. Additionally it's not clear how to reserve a table vs. bar. I would have liked a table experience for V day. I did think the price point was reasonable for the amount of food though. $95 total per couple. read more

4 words: Bottle and Board Night! Me and my sisters had a celebration and this was the perfect spot for our girls night out escapade. The ambiance is great, there is upstairs and downstairs seating. We did reserve in advance which I'm glad because it was a full house. The special of the night (Tuesdays) was buy a bottle of wine, get a charcuterie board.....which of course we got and which of course was amazing. We started with cocktails and for a wine bar, we're excellent. Our server was very knowledgeable and led us to an amazing wine. We also ordered the Beef Wellington bites and Sicilian Pizza which were both great and perfect for sharing. Go here for your next date night or girls night, you can't go wrong. read more
