Stumbled upon Ripple Wine Bar as my family and I had a long wait at a close by restaurant for our dinner. We are all so glad we stopped in during our wait! First of all, we LOVED the Grateful Dead inspo reflected in the menu and decor. That in and of itself made us want to come back! We were already a little hungry but didn't want to spoil our appetites, as we were going to a birthday dinner, so we split the Mediterranean Plate. It was delicious and gone in seconds! It was the perfect dish to tide us over. Other plates looked delicious, as well! We will definitely have to come back to try more. My mom got the Scarlet Begonia while I got the Casey Jones. We loved our cocktails. They also have an extensive wine menu. I had a class of Gavi and it was great. It's nice that they had an N/A section on their drink menu too. We will definitely be back!
Quick message as this has been my 3rd time here...this is my favorite restaurant in Cincy! Hands down! I've never had a bad meal. Went for restaurant week but of course added more. Service always stellar. Had a bite of my friend's filet after they gave it to her overcooked(gave wrong steak by accident) she didn't even ask and they asked a couple times and could see wasn't perfect to her liking. Best shrimp and grits ever! Roasted grape salad, stfu, so good. Beautiful space, great selection of wines and drinks. This place should get more recognition, so freaking good!!! I've had tuna, shrimp nachos, and that poblano is epic...eat here asap! See you 10/4 Ripple!!
I booked this place for our anniversary. When we walked in, we we're immediately led by the staff to the 2bd floor sit by the glass railing which allows you oversee downstairs bar and kitchen. It's amazing and fun to watch the chef and people coming in and what they order from above! We had their Spanish flatbread which is very tasty and yummy. We also had their beef Wellington popovers, which is delicious! For main course i had salmon and husband had their Mac & cheese. All great, no complains! Very happy! Just surprised that they serve everything use one-time plate which is a little unusual for this type of place. We didn't had dessert but I'm sure it will be great too! This place is a little gem in Covington with lots of wine selection too, and it's 1st floor is bar and 2nd floor mostly restaurant, of course, we drink while we eating too! It's a nice find!
Although I was pretty limited on what I could eat because most items had dairy.... The food that I did eat as well as the service I received, was excellent! We sat at the bar for dinner, during Restaurant week and decided to order a few items off the regular menu. The bartender Matt was great and extremely helpful. He answered all my questions about specific food items and also checked in with the Chef to make sure I could eat certain things. It is a very cute space, I did not go upstairs, but the bar area is very nice. We had the salmon with broccolini and roasted red peppers which was pretty good. We also had the hummus plate - the hummus and pita chips were good, although I didn't really like the quinoa only because it has a very heavy vinegar on it. I did not eat the pierogies because they have cheese in them, but my friend did and really loved them! It is street parking, so be mindful of that.
Super cute space with two floors of seating. The kitchen is on the first floor near the window and if you are seated upstairs, you can look down and watch the food being made. They have half-glasses of wine for purchase, making trying several different varieties easier. We ordered a charcuterie board for starters made up of cheeses and meat that you choose from the list. It came with spiced nuts, pickled think cucumber slices, and herbed butter for the amazing fresh rustic bread chunks. Everything was delicious. We also ordered the truffle popcorn. It came with fresh shredded parmesan on top. Not really a fan. The truffle flavor was great, but the actual popcorn kernels were lacking- quite small and really no taste. I had the shrimp and grits for dinner which was an incredibly unique take on this classic dish. Lots of shrimp and sausage atop the creamy grits. Apparently this venue is hard to get into, we had to opt for a 4:30 pm time, but it was worth it!! I highly recommend checking out Ripple Wine Bar.
Aaron, the Planner and Concierge Extraordinaire was a delight to work with to cater an upcoming event! Also, the Ripple space itself is an AMAZING venue easily seating 20 with a gourmet menu. Not your typical wine bar offering way more than bottles and charcuterie! I had the baked Brie with honeycomb and a Bourbon berry smash for the drink - will definitely be back!
Fun vibe and awesome service! Ripple serves a standout charcuterie board with amazing local cheeses and perfectly toasty bread. We did a tapas style and loved the savory, hot honey flavor on the Sicilian flatbread. It wasn't as crispy in the middle as we had hoped but the flavor made up for it. We also had the chicken meatball, which were fine, but they lacked a standout flavor. Same with the pirogies. Not pictured but also delicious were the brussels sprouts and truffled potatoes. We ended up waiting for these for most of our meal and they only came out at the end. Our server made up for it by bringing out some wine to enjoy with dessert and removing the two items from our bill.
Ripple Wine Bar is the definition of date night. Great food, great service and great vibes! They offer diverse charcuterie boards that you can never go wrong with. I also ordered scallops and salmon. Both were delicious dishes. And you can't forget the most important part... the wine! They offer quite a few diverse options to pair with the tasting menu. Ripple creates the perfect intimate setting for a night out with someone special!
Came here due to a yelp drop in event nearby. Interesting place. Smaller menu. We got the charcuterie board. chose 6 meats and cheeses. Accompanied bread was very good. Small wine pours for the price. Black truffle popcorn was a fail. Not worth it and nothing special. I got the french bread pizza with chorizo. It was ok. My wife liked her shrimp and grits and son liked his mushroom pasta with shrimp added. Service was fine. Needs to have iced tea.
The waitress was very nice! We had no clue what to do for charcuterie board and she just chose the options she thought would be best. The chicken meatballs were great! A nice Mediterranean take, flatbreads were very tasty as well. Cocktails were strong and good, Riesling was great as well. Really enjoyed the ambiance, perfect for a girls night.
I went here for restaurant week. Their menu was perfect. Roasted grape salad scallops with chorizo and corn and chocolate flourless torte. All of it perfection My friend ordered off the menu Napa flatbread. Flatbread with Brussel sprouts genius. The wine delicious. Our server was so sweet. She offered us a fan because it was a little warm.
Definitely a place to go if you're into wines either big time or just starting out. I'd say my wife and I are somewhat seasoned amateurs when it comes to wine. We know what we like and dislike. Ripple had our choices dialed in. The server was friendly and knowledgeable. The restaurant was set up differently with a loft upstairs over looking the kitchen. The dinner menu was simple yet offered a choice for just about anything. We would definitely visit Ripple again as there are so many other wines and menu options to try.
I would give them 10 stars if I could! The place is beautiful for starters! The service was good and the food was excellent. I got one of the flatbreads with the hot honey which was sweet and delicious while my friend tried the spinach flatbread which is more savory. We loved them both!! We also tried the Brie and it was truly some of the best I've ever had. I've heard they get pretty busy in the late evenings but we went around 4p when they first opened and had the place to ourselves for a while. It's great for a girls night, book club meeting, or date night! I will certainly be back!

We were lucky to grab an early reservation before a concert recently. Such a cozy, gorgeous space. It was busy and intimate at the same time. We had a table upstairs overlooking the small bar area. Our sever was super attentive and had great recommendations. The cocktail menu had many interesting options. We chose to eat light and share a couple items. The charcuterie was fantastic. Gluten free crab cakes are hard to come by and this one didn't disappoint. Looking forward to a return visit. read more

Stumbled upon this place when our wine tasting @ the Loveland Castle got canceled because of the rain. WOW- what a pleasant surprise. The ambiance really turned our night around. We tried 6 different wines from 6 different regions. The food was soooo delicious- which we were not expecting for a wine bar & being their kitchen was so small! Definitely would recommend to friends and family. The service was also amazing- we sat at the bar. read more

This is cozy, fun little joint. The kitchen is so tiny and all out in the open so it's fun to watch them prep things and amazing they put out what they do! Got the popovers and the Brussels sprouts for a light dinner. The Beef Wellington popovers were so incredibly creamy and delicious! They literally melt in your mouth. Definitely recommend. Unfortunately the brussles were really burnt and I couldn't eat 1/2 of them. read more
I struggled a little bit to give them 4 stars but to be honest it was only one thing that went wrong so you decide if its a big deal or not... First things firsts. The food is quality cuisine, fresh, different and tasty. The place is really chill, has a great vibe, awesome wine selection, simply a great place to relax and spend a couple hours eating and drinking with a couple of friends or in my case, with my wife, or at least that's what we where hoping for. It was our first time here so no idea how the place worked, we went in with no reservations, and where greeted with the option to wait an hour and a half or simply sit at the bar which was fine with us. We wanted to celebrate for a while a promotion that my wife just got so we where happy pretty much anywhere. After we ordered a couple of drinks and appetizers we where asked to either leave or relocate to somewhere else in the restaurant because of a reservation in the bar. The place was packed and they didn't know where they would move us so we ended up leaving. To be honest it caught us off guard, If they would told us in advance about the reservation at the bar we would've expected it and there wouldn't have been any issue at all, but my wife specially was enjoying the night and she was asked to leave or relocate. That just didn't sit well with me. Besides that the place is pretty cool. read more

How many ways can I explain how much I loved Ripple. Service was impeccable, every server helped each other which I loved. Every single item we ordered was excellent including the beef Wellington poppers (can't remember the name), charcuterie with the olives & honey comb added. I thought I had floated up to heaven when I added the honeycomb to the meat/cheese spread and aged cheddar. Omg. I know I won't want a charcuterie any other way. We came at 4:30 on a Saturday and they were BUSY. You need a reservation if you're looking to get a table. Or go as soon as they open and they can seat you outside or at a high top, it's a small space. I was impressed with everything and can't wait to go back. read more

Came here for restaurant week and I can say it did not disappoint. The combination of flavor just burst in your mouth. The steak was cooked just the way I liked it and the chimichurri base was over the top. The service/waiter was great and of course they knew the best wine suggestion. They even have a cute outdoor area for when it gets warm which is exactly the setting I need for the summer. Street parking only, so allow extra time before your reservation. read more
I visited Ripple foe the first time last night for a happy hour. It is a beautiful location with a great vibe. We had two charcuterie boards so we could try all their offerings and the Brussels (which were great!). I love that you can do a half glass of wine to try a few in one visit! Our service was great and we were able to reserve a table for our group, which we appreciated! read more
This is my favorite wine bar in the city! They use Resy through their website - I recommend making a reservation since they're super busy. The brussel sprout flatbread is a must! Their drink list includes ton of wine options as well as cocktails. The build your own charcuterie has great cheese & meat options. You can't go wrong with the desert board as well! They do limit you to 1.5 hours for seating, just FYI. read more
I just love this place. Everything about it. It is a whole scene and it's got this energy that just...feels like chill. Tonight's weather was delightful, so as we entered, we saw people sitting outside, sipping on high quality wines, and snacking on charcuterie. My friend and I just popped in for a drink to catch up. After catching a glimpse of charcuterie being assembled as we walked in, we had to make some selections. She enjoyed the Pullus [Štajerska, Slovenia] 2021white wine, referred to as "orange wine" that was very similar to pinot Grigio. I opted for the "Shake It Down" cocktail with vodka, Campari, grapefruit, and more. It was very well balanced and perfectly chilled. For our charcuterie, we opted for the "select 4" and chose: Manchego DOP, Corcuera, La Mancha Spain [Sheep] 'Drunken Goat', Murcia Al Vino, Jumilla, Spain [Goat] Aged Gouda, Beemster, Holland [Cow] Prosciutto Di Parma, Parma, Italy [Pork] It was served with the most incredible, flavorful mixed nuts roasted in blackening spices, quince paste (fore the manchego), mild pickles, and incredibly tasty crusted bread dusted with parmesan and green onions. The bread was the perfect accompaniment to the "drunken goat" cheese which was well flavored and blended with spices. We also opted for a bowl of olives. Honestly, this was my second visit and it just topped the first visit. The service is friendly and despite being a center location with no side windows, they've done a great job pulling in outside light from the 2nd floor of the restaurant in the back and the front door as well. The whole ambience was just incredible. read more

This cute Covington spot made for a fantastic women's night out! We started with the Beef Wellington Bites which were very good, but the star of the evening was the charcuterie board. They have us so much delicious bread and the bressaola was divine! The board came with all sorts of accompaniments like the sweet and spicy house-made nuts. With just those two things, we were too stuffed for dessert! My friend got a terrific wine recommendation that she loved so much, she bought an entire bottle. Excited to return. read more

Ripple has such a clean feel from the second you walk in. I love how they utilized the space in such a narrow building to maximize the bar area (with a plethora of wines running all the way down the bar) and the intimate dining area on the second floor. Architecturally, it's one of the best design concepts: there's a second story mezzanine-type set-up half way up the stairs, and a second floor cut out to overlook the downstairs bar. What stands out the most to me is how Ripple so clearly invokes all of the senses - even down to the textures they use. The menu opens with a fabric silk-like cover, and the attention to detail carries over to the food. The baked Brie was one of the most beautifully golden-flakey masterpieces that I have ever laid eyes on... with cheese oozing out that was piping hot. I settled on the salmon and it was equally well prepared. Even the papyrus-like appetizer plates have an uncommon but exotic feel to them. Drinks, food, wine - everything had meticulous attention to detail and great service/ wait staff to accompany it. I love that they source their cheeses from Urban Stead (a local cheese producer in Walnut Hills, check it out). I'm not a huge wine connoisseur, but I feel like they distill a very classy vibe without being pretentious or overpriced. I was just there last night and I'm already planning a trip back. I came with a party of 12, but I'm excited to come for a date night for a more quiet affair. The Pike Street Corridor has really taken off (and, need I mention, street parking is STILL FREE on weekends?!); even if you're not huge into wine Ripple is worth the visit! read more

The Service is amazing. Always good energy. Wine is always fantastic. Poblano pepper is chefs kiss. Thanks Matt! read more
So glad I made a reservation here! The options at Ripple are seemingly endless. They have an extensive wine list that is organized from lightest to darkest in body for all of their wines. This was super cool for me because I like to try new wines and was able to use this scale to find my "comfort zone" and branch off from there. My table ordered some appetizers to snack on since we used this as almost a pre-game for our late dinner elsewhere. All were tasty and went well with our wines. Personally, my favorite was the cured beef from the cured meats section of the menu. The staff was extremely friendly and the kitchen was extremely impressive. It's a super small kitchen space that seemed to have everything down to a science. With this stacked against them they were providing timely food delivery! I'd recommend this place for dates or like what we did, use it as a start to the night! read more
While new, Ripple was on point! Not only was the service amazing, but the wine list was to die for. If you like reds, I recommend the Garnacha. If you have no idea what you like, the bartenders double as wine connoisseurs. There was not a single bad recommendation I heard. Pours come (normally] in half glass, glass, half bottle and botttle with some exceptions. One of the most impressive things I heard was that Ripple sources from smaller Vineyards instead of the larger ones. Their meats and cheeses are top notch, grain fed and healthy. If you arent a wine fan but end up here, the craft beer selection and mixed drinks are just a s good and intense as the wine. Stay for some food or munch on an amazing charcuterie board...there is so much to discover and taste here, you will want to stay for hours! Like wine? Want to socialize and meet other winos? This is absolutely the new "it" place to go. read more
Came here for the first time this evening and was very impressed! It's very spacious with plenty of seating on the first and second floor, and the location is great with plenty of available parking. I'm always open to trying new things, so I appreciated that our server ran us through personalized food and wine recommendations given what we said we usually like. I ended up getting a glass of the Bordeaux and Chardonnay as well as the Beef Wellington Popovers and Brussels Sprouts -- all was amazing! I wish I would've come with an emptier stomach to try more food since our appetizers were so good. They also have great event rental deals (my friend is having her bridal shower here), a subscription wine offering, and a store next door with wines to purchase by the bottle. Overall, a great little place!! read more

Really loved this spot. Great decor. Very impressed with the quality of the food coming out of that little kitchen. We tried several small plates and enjoyed them all. The beef Wellington bites were probably my favorite. We were there on a Tuesday and they were running a special - buy a bottle get a charcuterie free. read more
We had a great dinner at Ripple Wine Bar. I highly suggest the charcuterie board as an appetizer. Our waitress was super attentive and offered excellent wine choices. The owner stopped by our table a couple of times to make sure that we didn't need anything - amazing customer service. We'll definitely be back! read more

This is a great restaurant! I went there with a couple of friends that are wine snobs. We each got a half glass so we could have our own tasting and decided to get a bottle of the wine we liked the best. It would be cool if you could order a wine flight, but you can't. We shared the Beef Wellington Popovers- they were perfectly cooked and the puff pastry was so yummy. The dipping sauce had enough bite to add to the flavor. I ordered the scallops that had the right amount of sear. One friend ordered the crab cake that was a good size with fresh crab. The other friend ordered the mushroom pasta and she even had black truffles on her dish! We want to go back and try the baked bree and bruschetta. read more

Every time we visit Ripple (and we visit fairly frequently) I'm always amazed at the quality of the food...especially given how teeny tiny their kitchen space is! If you couldn't see their "kitchen" as soon as you walked in, you'd swear they had a huge space with multiple people putting their touches on the dishes coming out of it. This time we ordered the Burrata, Ahi Tuna, Shrimp Nachos and Spanish Flatbread. Everything was delicious but the standouts for me were the burrata with its creamy texture and mix of nutty/tart flavors, and the ahi tuna with its fresh and bold sesame and wasabi flavors. Aside from the amazing food, our servers have always been super welcoming and friendly. Last night I wasn't sure which wines I wanted to choose for my flight and our server offered to help me choose with excellent detailed descriptions of each wine she recommended! Also, we didn't end up partaking in this deal but on Wednesdays Ripple has a 4-course dinner special for 2 people that costs $65 and comes with a charc board, app, 2 entrees and dessert! We can't wait until our next visit! read more

Early Friday Date Night with my husband. Was a beautiful day. We had made reservations but arrived much earlier and were still able to get a table outside, and we were greeted by a lovely and friendly hostess. I love that this place offers 1/2 glasses of wine. This gave me an opportunity to try 3 different glasses without feeling over-served lol. Server was friendly and knowledgeable about the wines on the menu. My husband had a bourbon cocktail called American Beauty. He really liked it. Menu included a decent amount of cocktail options, if you're not a wine lover. We started with the truffle popcorn which was okay. Glad we tried but probably won't order it again. The heirloom tomato salad was delicious! The beef wellington popovers were good, but the beef was shredded, which was unexpected. But great flavors. We also had the mushroom pasta which I loved. Food options are small plates. if you're super hungry and expecting to have a meal, this may not be the place for you. We ended with their house-made salted caramel cheesecake which was delicious. Definitely recommend! Great for a ladies night or a quick night out. Not the place I would choose if I was wanting to have a long dinner with substantial food. read more
