We made a reservation for Valentine's Day to come to Al-Posto for the first time. Not having been here since it was Teller's-- I loved the interior. To start, we got the arancini and burrata. This focaccia is actually life changing...we got another side of it! The arancini had the best flavor in the breading- it was phenomenal. We decided on the spaghetti & meatballs and the linguine alla flora, with shrimp added. The second side of focaccia filled us up so much that we ended up finishing our meals the next day! The flavor of both pasta dishes were delicious- the size of the meatballs and shrimp were crazy (in a good way)! We also got a size of the fingerling potatoes and I really loved the sauce the were served with. Our server was very attentive and helpful with recommendations! Would definitely recommend coming here for a date night or with a few friends!

So I've been want to come to Al Posto because.. Italian food, ya know? Lol... Finally came here and overall was a good experience! Here's what we ordered: - Burrata and focaccia... The focaccia was very good, perfectly toasted with evoo and the Burrata was nice and creamy. - Nonna's meatballs.. so Nonna knows what's up haha. She clearly knows what she's doing . This was very good and a great option to share some protein. The red sauce was also very delightful. - Cacio e pepe.. we came here for this. I wanted to treat my friend out for her birthday and we wanted the cheese wheel. Although a bit overpriced (in my opinion) for Cacio e pepe, but your paying for the experience and "the show". Pasta was good! Overall it was a good experience. Love the vibe, decor is beautiful, service was fantastic and food was good.

We went for New Years Eve and what a vibe! The restraint was decorated for the holidays still, very warm and inviting. We sat up stairs and the staff was attentive, helpful, and all operated like a well oiled machine. The Cesar salad was fabulous (they use smoked oysters over anchovies and i highly recommend). The ravioli had a lot of oil and truffle, which might be much for most people but I absolutely loved. Great wine pairings and just all around a fantastic time in this old post office turned yummy chic Italian!

We went to Al-Posto to celebrate a special occasion and noted it in our reservation, but it wasn't acknowledged. It was disappointing. The space is open and inviting, which was a nice atmosphere. We started with the arancini which was crispy, with a touch of heat and cooked well. The Smoked Oyster Caesar was tasty but lacked the smoky flavor anticipated, and the breadcrumbs had a slightly sandy texture. The cacio e pepe was cooked nicely, though the black pepper was so finely ground it didn't really stand out which makes the dish. Overall, the food was solid, but small misses kept it from feeling like a truly special.

Wow. Just wow! We get there on a Friday night (yesterday) with no reservation and the hostess kindly gets us an upstairs table for 2. She was so sweet and so beautiful. We get to our table, the ambiance, the vibe, the aesthetic, the atmosphere, the decor? Breathtaking. The host sends up 2 glasses of Prosecco on the house! Divine. We order our food immediately. Smoked oyster Caesar to start, the branzino, fingerling potatoes and a tiramisu. Let me tell you, out of this world. The food transcends you to a different place while the flavors comfort and hug you. It was so good. Like I truly have no words. I want to dive deeper into everything but we'd be here all night lol. My friend had a lavender lemon drop while I had a Hugo spritz, both delish! Cameron was an amazing server and he even apologized for being busy but we told him the food was so good we didn't even notice lol! We literally made love to that branzino! And the tiramisu? Oh yeah we will absolutely be back! Thank you much Al-Posto for an amazing first experience. You're now top 2 on our "Foodcinnati" list and we're 2 foodie girlies so the list is long but you're good in our book!

Our friend Kara (she works there) highly recommended coming here. I've heard nothing but great reviews on this place. So my Mr. made reservations for my Birthday on a Saturday evening. As soon as you walk in, you feel welcome. The staff is super friendly and down to earth. The inside is very spacious (2 floors) and decorative. I love the style and the lighting. We were seated right away. Stephanie was our server and she was very helpful and attentive. The menu is VERY simple. Which I love because it's not overwhelming. They serve appetizers, salads, pasta, entrees (chicken, beef and fish) and dessert. Their wine selection was picked by level 3 sommelier. So they really know their stuff. They do serve specialty cocktails as well. We ordered: Wine: Serra Barbera d'Alba Appetizer: Fungi grotto (Mushrooms) Dinner: Cacio e Pepe Grilled Branzino Dessert: Olive oil cake Nonino Amaro (Italian amaro/bitter liqueur) They were super busy but we didn't wait long. The mushroom appetizer was amazing! Not greasy and complimented well with the aioli sauce. The pasta was super delicious. Homemade and creamy. The fish was one of the best I've had. Grilled to perfection and loved the hints of citrus, parsley and toasted almonds on top. Last our dessert was light and flavorful. Paired well with our liquor. This is my first time trying olive oil cake and it won't be last. Everthing was perfect! The wine and food were amazing. I have to say that I like this place way better than Sotto. We don't have to be on a waiting list and it's closer to where we live . What a great experience! Definitely returning and I can't wait to try other items on the menu.

Orecchiette Barese

Had an excellent experience at Al-Posto. I started with the Apple Cider Sour, which was delicious. We started with an order of arancini and the wedge salad. Both were great. I ordered the Orecchiette Barese - it was tasty. The ambiance was perfect and our waiter, Perry, did a great job and was very funny.

Oh my God, Al Posto is amazing! All of the food is fresh made and delicious! Our server, Troy, was professional, friendly, and efficient! They have the cutest decor inside, especially around Christmas time and they helped us. Enjoy an amazing night!

Smoked oyster Caesar salad

This was my second time here and we came to celebrate my fiancé's birthday. Our server Matt was super attentive, and the service was great. We started off with the arancini balls, crispy and filling, but not too rich. We also got the smoked oyster Caesar salad, which was a different way to eat something traditional. Of course we had to get their pastas, we also got the Bronzino and shrimp. Literally everything was delishhhh!! so flavorful and you could tell everything was made w/ care

It's spacious and the lighting is romantic. I love the decor. Contemporary and simple. Their menu is tapas style. Their drink menu has everything. Especially wine. They all pair well with the meals. We ordered: Drinks: Renato Ratti Italy Barbera La rioja Alta Tempranillo La Font de L'Olivier France Carignan Red Schnooner Malbec Dinner: Shroom pasta Spanish flatbread Charcuterie-Manchego cheese Chefs rotating seasonal cheese (goat) Prosciutto with honeycomb and salty olives. We ordered the charcuterie board first. Oh wow! The cheese with the honey comb tasted so good. Especially with the prosciutto. Next we got our dinner. Both the flatbread and pasta were great! I was not expecting my pasta to have some tomatoes. It wasn't bad but I thought it didn't need it. All my wines paired well with the meals. The night did not end there. Our server was so kind and attentive, she served me a birthday wine and dessert! Wow! So grateful and it was so good! What an awesome experience. My best friend and I had a great time and enjoyed our meals! I can't wait to come back. I definitely want my Mr. to try it. I know he will love it!

It was a Friday night, so probably pretty normal. All of that said, our meal was delicious. We loved the arancini appetizer (the sauce is finished with a lemon zest and was excellent) and the bread with butter was so, so good (do not skip it). We shared a margarita pizza and it was delicious. I recommend waiting a minute for the crust/cheese to firm up but the flavor and crust were amazing. I had the bolognese and it was absolute perfection. It's a large serving and I had leftovers for a couple days. My husband got the cacio e Pepe. He liked it but I found it sort of flavorless and not enough pepper. For dessert, we had the Pope's salame. It's unique and very tasty! We could only eat half because we were so full but I'm glad we tried it.

The vibes were quaint, cozy, and moody -- perfect for a lovely fall evening. Parking is tough so give yourself enough time. It's definitely a tighter space, so I wouldn't recommend it for large parties, but the staff handled our group with such grace and care! We started with a few appetizers: the arancini had a nice kick, the bruschetta was amazing, and the burrata with pesto was really, really good. My drink of the night was hands down the Tequila Old Fashioned -- so smooth and well-balanced! For dinner, I had the Cacio e Pepe, which was tasty but a little heavy on the pepper for me. I also shared a Caesar salad that was really fresh -- just needed a touch more dressing for my taste. Overall, a great addition to the lineup of Italian spots in the city. Cozy atmosphere, thoughtful service, and that cocktail alone will bring me back!

I've made my way through the entire menu (food and drinks), and there honestly isn't a single item I wouldn't recommend. Everything is consistently spot on every single time. That kind of reliability is hard to find, and it's exactly why I keep coming back. That said, a few personal favorites stand out. The goat cheese flatbread appetizer is a non-negotiable. It's the kind of dish you order "for the table" but secretly don't want to share. The cacio e pepe and pasta rustica are also incredible and always hit. As for drinks, the seasonal espresso martini is always a go-to and never disappoints. But my personal favorite is either the regular old fashioned or, when I'm feeling myself, the wagyu old fashioned... especially if Scott is behind the bar. He clearly knows what he's doing, and it shows. The service is always warm, attentive, and consistent, which makes the whole experience even better every time. This app was hand pulled mozzarella stuffed with braised wagyu brisket and bourbon butter and served with crostini. I just ate this for lunch and it was absolutely delicious. The bartender said these are made to order, mozzarella pulled and filled after I placed my order. The atmosphere was cozy and right in the heart of Covington. Both bartenders were super friendly and when I said all of a sudden I did not feel well, they took my meal and put it in a box for me and got me an ice water to go. I'm a coffee snob, which means I'm naturally annoying and occasionally correct. This may be the best coffee drink I've ever had in my life. Melissa and her husband run the place with care, love, and obsessive attention to detail, and it shows through the whole staff. Kenya and our server were joyful, sharp, helpful, and full of excellent recommendations. The bread service alone is worth the visit: fresh, beautiful bread with olive oil that actually tastes alive, not like the sour, elderly lamp oil too many "Italian" restaurants pretend is premium. Add the balsamic glaze, salt, and pepper, and it may be the best bread-and-dip setup I've had anywhere. And they don't charge for it. Double bonus. The salads are healthy, gorgeous, and loud with flavor. The scallops were cooked perfectly and plated like art. Honestly, almost every plate here looks like it was assembled by someone who cares whether civilization survives. The drinks are top-shelf across the board: excellent liquor choices, plus possibly the longest list of high-end coffee options I've seen. One caveat: the lamb chops were beautifully plated with asparagus, carrots, and sides, but the meat itself was thin, cool, and small for the price. That was the only disappointment I've EVER had in a dozen or so visits, so I'm calling it an outlier, not a crime scene. And desserts? Don't be foolish. They only serve the good stuff. Bottom line: don't let the casual setting fool you. VV's delivers white-tablecloth quality without the stiff-necked restaurant theater.
