Positive: the food was good. Negative: it is so cold with the overhead vents blasting us with cold air (and we aren't even directly under a vent). I feel like we're eating in a refrigerator, which is unnecessary in April. The tables are "sticky" and need to be washed with vinegar or something to get the buildup off. We were here 10 minutes before anyone even came up to our table. There is only 1 server here at lunchtime. She's trying her best but why only one? She never refilled our drinks or checked on us. Got there for the first time. And the time of order to have the plate on my table was over 40 minutes. Part of my order was Mac and cheese. It was white cheese and I did not like that of the menu said it I must of missed it. The Caesar salad had a mustard base dressing on it, which I must've not noticed on the menu. Walked in the place had a very nice atmosphere that was good. We had a dinner party at four ordered the appetizer of pretzels. It was good. Ordered a beer and mixed drinks. They were OK when our other members of the party showed up and placed our food order. Took 40 minutes to get our food. I ordered Caesar salad on the Caesar salad. It had a mustard based dressing. Do not like that. Also ordered mac & cheese. It was with white cheese. Was not it a fan of that either? I also ordered the steak which was OK other people are a party you ordered brisket sandwiches nachos chicken wings in the pro bowl that was gluten-free over all the food was OK nothing I would drive out of my way to go back to the environment that you said in was hard to hold a conversation and must be the atmosphere of the place as it's very open speaking of the openness of it bring a jacket if you're gonna sit in when it's cool out the room was chilled during the eating entirely when there. This place is decorated so beautifully, large selection of bourbon. We were sat quickly, and got to place our orders quick. However, I'm not sure what is going on... we waited over an hour for our food, we ordered rt away, no apps, just water. The staff was polite and apologized. Everything was just okay. Saturday night and you seat yourself. The table near the door where we sat required you to wear a coat. It was very loud. My wife had the BLT salad which comes with chicken. I've been hearing rave reviews about this place and decided to try it on a whim this week with my husband and to be honest, I was disappointed. The restaurant/bar itself is beautiful! You can tell the new business owners put a lot of effort into creating the space. However, the dishes/service didn't meet my expectations. First, after being immediately sat at a table, it took roughly 10-15 minutes before anyone ever came to our table. I know restaurants are struggling right now but I counted at least 5 waitresses and there were maybe 7 tables occupied total so that was discouraging. Eventually, we ordered the Chutney cheese logs as an appetizer and were told they are just like mozzarella sticks. They are not. They are fried wontons filled with a chutney mix and a small piece of mozzarella. Personally, I didn't enjoy their taste. After we finished our appetizer, we waited an additional 45 minutes before our entrees ever arrived. My husband got the Shrimp Po Boy which he enjoyed and I got a the Cajun sirloin with smashed potatoes. I expected the steak to have a little kick or spice to it given the Cajun butter listed on the menu but it tasted like a regular sirloin which was disappointing. Overall, it seems like the staff needs more training on the menu and the operations of the business in order to answer guest's questions and provide better service. read more

Let me start by saying that I am going to go back again. I really like how they changed up the space and gave it character. We did not use the bar area, but it looked fun and had a large selection of liquor. I was there for lunch with a friend and it was not busy. We stayed and had a nice conversation with no loud music. She had the brisket grilled cheese, which she finished, and a Bloody Mary that was delicious. I had the caprese salad and stuffed meatballs. The salad was very good with thick slices of tomato, and medallions of fresh mozzarella. Lovely. The 3 large meatballs came smothered in a chunky marinara sauce and cheese. I noticed it was not very hot and the smallest of the meatballs was slightly pink in the center. I cut into the largest meatball and it had a raw center. Being full from the salad, I just took home the remaining meatballs and reheated them, which cooked the center and they were delicious. When we arrived all but one table was filled and given to a couple who walked in right before us not mentioning they had a reservation. When told hostess our name, she quickly opened and closed a book, honestly have no idea how she could've read anything, and looked around at all the filled tables. Reluctantly, told her if a high top was available we'd take it. Took good 10 minutes for waitress to take drink orders. Another 15 for her to return with them and realizing things were not going to go well, placed our appetizer and food order. Appetizers were slow in coming but even worse our main entrees. Twice my husband repeated to please bring ribs hot! Assured us they would be. Apologized numerous times for long wait on our order, however, because the reviews on Yelp, they have been slammed. Seriously! Finally almost an hour and a half later after many inquiries, we were served our food. Three orders of ribs and one prime rib. All of our orders were cold. Not warm, cold. By this time the place had practically emptied out. Would've expected food to be hot considering we were probably the last to be prepared and served. Ate what we could and took remaining home to be heated ourselves. Who knows how long it would've taken had we complained to have them cooked properly. Will never return. Our bill was over $100's.
