Strawberry Fields Salad

Muse is a lovely neighborhood cafe. They offer a great selection of coffee drinks, alcoholic options, and food on their menu. I ordered the Strawberry Fields Salad. Although it had just spinach instead of other greens as advertised, it was delicious. The most important part of my experience at Muse was the live music. Having live musicians perform regularly several nights a week is rare these days; it is quite special that Muse makes an effort to do so. The musicians they bring in are phenomenal, and it really makes for a nice evening out. I will definitely be going back soon!

We attended their summer wine and dinner pairing and it was outstanding! Great food and great wine. Don't miss these special events.

I was delighted to find this place. It was oddly hard to spot coming at it in the dark and rain and the directions said it was on the other side of the street- it is RIGHT ON THE CORNER. I just found on-street parking to go in. It was a weeknight and not very crowded. Service was friendly, the space is attractive and open. Didn't try the food or coffee- this time- but I was pleased at the selection of local beers and the wines on offer. Prices for those were reasonable. Hope to pop back in in future to try more from the menu.

This has been our date spot the last 3 Fridays. Great live music, fresh light dishes, and amazing fresh brewed teas. I've heard the coffee is just as awesome. Everything is very reasonably priced, even less expensive than I think it should be. The service is fast, courteous, and helpful.

Finally! A place on the Westside I can go to get a good cup of coffee (don't worry - I didn't forget about you, Bloc). This place has been needed on the "wester" side of the Westside for awhile. I'm a homegrown Westsider, however I live on the Eastside now and am a big coffee fan. The fact that Muse carries Deeper Roots shows that they are doing something right. I have been dumbfounded that no coffee joint has opened up sooner given the need on the Westside, and the abundance of amazing joints on the Eastside. Now for the actual execution of the coffee - it could be improved. I ordered a cappuccino, and while the barista was kind and let me know she was still learning, it needed some work. But who am I to throw out a decent cup of coffee? Both workers were very nice, and I appreciated that they let me know they were still learning. I think if they can nail the execution of their espresso beverages, then this place would be a hit. Heck, they have Deeper Roots, how can they really screw it up? I think you're safe if you just want the classic americano style, or a plain cup of joe. As for pastries, they get them from Shadeau breads, located in OTR, which I really commend. If you know the story behind Shadeau breads, then you will appreciate the fact that Muse has taken the effort to receive their pastries from them. They also had some gluten free options, of which I am not sure who they get them from. On another note, they have a full menu of lunch items, (paninis/sandwiches under $8? Is that even a thing in Cincinnati anymore?), cheese & charcuterie boards, $5-9 wine pours (yes, the price 24/7! Not "happy hour prices" like people have chosen to price these days), bottles of wine for $21-24, $7 cocktails, "hard" coffees (Bailey's/Kahlua/Bourbon + coffee) free WiFi.... Did I miss anything? My only other comment is that they need to improve their signage. They said they were getting signs in this week, however when my parents told me they couldn't find it the other day, I thought it was just because they were old. Unfortunately, when I went yesterday I had the same issue myself. They are located right at the corner of Montana and Harrison (a huge traffic stop, with great potential to advertise to passer-bys). I have driven by this place at least six times since they had been open, and had no idea. If Muse can improve their coffee execution and their signage, then I think they will be a hit. They have the Westside charm to them by doing their own thing, along with the bonus of helping Westwood continue to grow. I will be back!

The bread they bring you is mouth watering. My husband had the steak and it was exactly what I want steak to be. I had the shrimp and grits and they were so, so good. Several of the dishes had marinated cherry tomatoes. I do not like tomatoes but I loved them. Every detail was so well done. The service was perfect and the restaurant itself is beautiful. It's got the perfect lighting for a night out and there was a live piano player in the bar area.

Here is what they did well: - great bread, truly amazing as house made - gelato was fantastic - pretty inside/decor - sides were pretty good Here is where it went south: - our serve was very casual and almost seemed put off by us. Not attentive, not overly welcoming or friendly - my girlfriend stated it was my birthday, an our waitress saw me with a birthday gift and no acknowledgement no asking oh is it your birthday? Meanwhile 2 other tables received a happy birthday, with a candle and dessert - when going to a "steakhouse" is that you go there expect to have an amazing steak. Not the case, my "medium" steak was cooked half medium half rare. For a filet it was also very fatty. when I asked the server (probably 25 minutes after our food was served) she said it didn't look medium and offers to put it back on. no apology Overall it felt very underwhelming and when you pay $70 for a steak you expect it to be right. On top of that celebrating a special occasion, for a $200 meal for 2 people, it Was a bland experience. We've heard amazing reviews so hopefully your experience will be different than ours! We said we'd give it another shot but not going with steak.

In short, they do not grow their own grapes. They have them shipped in but they do the rest of the wine making process on site. They have won awards around the world for their wine so they are still legit. My husband and I love our wine. I have been wanting to try Henke for some time. We decided to have a light lunch here on a Saturday afternoon. My husband has been before with coworkers so he was familiar with this location. We were greeted at the door by the owner, Joe. He seated us and gave us a menu and some time to decide what we wanted. I decided I wanted a true winery experience, so we only did finger foods and wine. We didn't order actual entrees. Henke is serving some delicious wines and yummy food pairings. My husband's go-to is Pinot Noir and I always order a sweet wine. I had the Cellar Blush. This is considered a Sweet Blush Wine. It was delicious, and my husband enjoyed it Pinot. We paired our wines with small plates to share. We had the Stuffed Mushrooms with Sausage, Cheese & Charcuterie Plate, and their famous Air-Fried Cheese. This was the perfect afternoon lunch/snack. We laughed, toasted, and enjoyed our delicious bites. Their Air-Fried Cheese tasted like the perfect homemade cheese stick. It is a sharp Vermont White Cheddar in a crunchy herb jacket. These dishes were delicious! The crust was seasoned and fried perfectly! It also came with some berry compote to sweeten things up a bite. The Cheese & Charcuterie Board was a good mix of cheese and meat. It had some different cheeses, meat, jams, and berries. It was served with crackers. The stuffed mushrooms were my least favorite. My husband loves mushrooms and will always order stuffed mushrooms if a menu has them. In my opinion, the mushrooms were a little over cooked. They were more watery from being baked down. They had a little chew/stiffness as mushrooms do but you could tell they had been baked more than what they needed. Other than this everything was good including the wine! Overall, Henke is a cute Urban Winery with good wine and snack food. We did not have any entrees so I can't speak to any meals they have.

First of all, we LOVED the Grateful Dead inspo reflected in the menu and decor. That in and of itself made us want to come back! We loved our cocktails. They also have an extensive wine menu. I had a class of Gavi and it was great. It's nice that they had an N/A section on their drink menu too. We will definitely be back!

We sat at the bar for dinner, during Restaurant week and decided to order a few items off the regular menu. The bartender Matt was great and extremely helpful. It is a very cute space, I did not go upstairs, but the bar area is very nice. We had the salmon with broccolini and roasted red peppers which was pretty good. We also had the hummus plate - the hummus and pita chips were good, although I didn't really like the quinoa only because it has a very heavy vinegar on it. I did not eat the pierogies because they have cheese in them, but my friend did and really loved them! It is street parking, so be mindful of that.
