We stopped while driving to SC. The banana bread latte sounded good in theory but was meh. Temp was not hot enough and banana flavor was too artificial. The girl who took order seemed annoyed as it was 30 minutes before close and it looked like they were cleaning. The middle age lady who handed me my drink was friendly. Reliable place to grab a good coffee from, but nothing cute or chic about the coffee shop. They use Carabello beans who is a local roaster and makes great coffee beans. The food is mid. The banana walnut bread we ordered was heated in a microwave. I'd say if you need to make a quick coffee run, this place will provide, but don't expect a coffee shop environment. read more

What an adorable coffee shop just outside of the Florence-Union area! We stopped by this unassuming spot on a Saturday afternoon, intending to just pick up some coffee to go from a new place. We were incredibly surprised with how cute Enlightenment was ... the atmosphere was welcoming and homey, and the wooden chairs and tables give it almost a cozy cabin feel. We decided to stop and sit for a minute and enjoy our drinks in such an inviting space. The coffee was superb ... I ordered a Salted Caramel latte and loved the balance of sweet and salty beneath beautiful latte art. My fiancé was tempted by the Bourbon Caramel Frappe, which he described as tasting even better than a milkshake. There wasn't anyone in the shop when we stopped by, and only one other person came and went while we were sitting there. This would be a great place to work during the week ... along with the quiet, comfy space, we noticed several outlets strategically placed around the shop. We will definitely be back soon ... if you live in the Cincy area, this coffee is definitely worth the drive! read more

This coffee shop is solid. Not amazing, but it gets the job done. I prefer supporting local coffee shops over large chains, so I come here when I'm in town. We've tried their breakfast burritos, which are filling but pretty standard, not much to rave about. The lattes tend to be on the sweeter side, so if you're not into super sweet drinks, I'd recommend asking for half sweet. They have good pastries, everything tastes fresh. I wish they could improve their to-go cups by adding their name or branding. It would make for better marketing and enhance the customer experience. read more

This great place is tucked back behind the bank, and is seriously a hidden gem. I stopped in since I had a bit of time and ordered a breakfast wrap and a honey and cinnamon latte. I like supporting small businesses, but unfortunately, this place is just not good. We did a pickup order for a Sausage Egg Bagel, Bacon Breakfast Burrito, and a Bourbon Caramel Frappe. There are no descriptions on the website menu, so I assumed the Sausage Egg Bagel would be just that on a plain bagel. Yuck. It was on an everything bagel, with onions melted in the cheese. What?! That needs to be in a description somewhere. Absolutely wretched. The Sausage was not good either. Both the breakfast items were wrapped in a paper that was sticking to the food itself, so we had to peel pieces of paper off the food. This was also a pickup order. But instead of a quick in and out, we had to wait 10 minutes or so for 50 million people to order their food. That defeats the entire purpose of a pickup order. I am extremely disappointed that we wasted our time and money here. read more

This new coffee shop is great! The space is a nice size, open, and nice natural lighting early in the day. What we ordered over the course of a 2ish hour visit: Vanilla latte Cortado Cold Brew Lavendar latte with honey All four of the above items were delicious and well made. When you order "for here" your drinks will be served in reusable mugs and glasses, which I am always a fan of. They also brought out a sample of one of their drinks for us while we were there- loved that as well but unfortunately can't remember what it was called. We employees were friendly and helpful, the coffee delicious, and it was a nice place to relax and work for a couple hours (free wifi). I sure hope this place sticks around! I'll be back when I am in the area for sure. read more

Love the ambience of this coffee shop! Lots of living greenery on the tables, counters and walls! The chairs and tables are heavy duty and very nice! They have free wi-fi and every tables has it's own power outlets and USB charger! Everyone working there was very friendly! The cinnamon roll latte that they recommended was excellent! We also tried the honey lavender latte and it was also tasty! We are definitely looking forward to trying their coffee, espresso, cappuccino and iced coffee drinks in the future! Awesome little coffee shop just up from a great chiropractor (Triple Crown Chiropractic)! Turns out he owns the place too! They have great coffee options all from a local roaster invested in fair trade coffee and wanting to promote small farmers. All of their pastries are from a local bakery and are amazing!! We tried the pour over with the "Addicting Liquid", the cappuccino, and the americano! All were amazing! The Addicting Liquid is big, bold and bright. Notes of dark chocolate and nutty. It's a blend of Central America and Ethiopia. If you're looking for a great little place to have a cup of joe, definitely give it a shot. The owners are amazing! read more
