I am so happy with my experience - delicious, sweet, and in a space that felt so homey! Also, I'd like to point out how beautiful it is that so many folks from different walks of life were finding comfort in this same space. There was a group of construction workers on their lunch break together, a table of two having a deep discussion about something important, a woman on her laptop, a couple folks wanting a good chat at the bar, and that's just those of us who were downstairs. It's so special when a space can be safe to such a diverse set of customers. Before my lunch had even been delivered to the table I was texting specific people going "you have got to check this place out, you'd love the vibe!!" Speaking of lunch, here's what I ordered: TBS | turkey sausage, scrambled egg, cheddar & pepper jack cheese served on a croissant bun I had zero expectations for this sandwich as I didn't even comprehend how much variety would be in their meal choices. It was delicious. I did not expect it to be so massive. Holy crap. Very worth the price! Peach Cobbler Chai | listen, y'all. When most places say a drink is flavored or tastes like a pre-existing thing, it usually only hints at that original flavor. THIS TASTED LIKE A DANG PEACH COBBLER HAD BEEN MELTED AND POURED STRAIGHT INTO MY CUP. I'm blessed to have tried this. It was one of my favorite drinks I've had all year. Caramel Apple Snickerdoodle Cookie | ALL of their cookies are as big as my face, so I had to try one. I love caramel meaning this was the obvious choice. It was soooooo sweet and gooey! I thoroughly enjoyed it, though I'd probably get a different flavor next time! Iced Chai w/ Extra Cinnamon | as I was leaving, I wanted an extra drink. I asked the barista what her go to is and she hooked me up with this beauty! I have gotten chai so many times in my life. I've quite literally have had hundreds of chais. I love chai. I even was a barista for about a year and a half. Never have I ever thought to ask for extra cinnamon and now I feel like I've been doing chai wrong to all the chais of my past that I've deemed "weak" and "not flavorful enough", I'm sorry. That's on me. I should've added more cinnamon JT got the best side bagel (which he devoured, though he also underestimated its size!) and some specialty latte that was hand written on the menu to the right of the checkout. I tried a sip, it was a little less flavorful than I had expected but super smooth!

They didn't take our names, though, so you had to remember what you ordered and hope you didn't steal someone else's drink lol The ambiance and service were good. I wasn't able to see if there was a restroom but there might have been one further back in the shop. There was indoor and outdoor seating. They had a syrup list and a list of specialty drinks. There were multiple drinks that I thought sounded good. I opted for an iced French Toast latte with white mocha, maple syrup, french vanilla, and cinnamon. It tasted like leftover Cinnamon Toast Crunch milk with a hint of coffee. The coffee wasn't strong, and the flavor was definitely there, yet it wasn't as strong as it could have been either? It was good but not great. You can add more flavor pumps though, so I would do that the next time I went.

The line went to the door! People really like this place and the staff really seem to enjoy working here and discussing coffee / teas with curious people. We settled on a chai tea with vanilla and a banana foster iced latte. Both were excellent although you should stir your iced drink a bit after getting it. The flavors tend to settle at the bottom of the cup. Looking forward to trying the pastries next time I visit Velocity Bike & Bean!

I went around 2 p.m., though, and they were almost completely sold out of the gluten-free pastries, so if you want to snag one, definitely go early! They have tons of sandwich options, and a great selection of teas and coffee drinks. I got an iced chai latte with almond milk, and it was light and good. There's also plenty of seating inside, along with some local art, which makes it a nice place to hang out. The only downside is that you'll need to find street parking which is a little difficult at this location, so prepare mentally. Overall, a really lovely cafe with great gluten-free options!

I am currently sipping on an enormous iced latte (no flavors for me) and it is perfection. Extremely smooth espresso and good balance of the oat milk I ordered. There are bagels, scones, and a few other pastries to accompany their expansive drink menu. Yes, they seem to specialize in their really unique flavor combos for lattes, but they also have the coffee basics and teas. The digital menu board scrolled through the menu a bit too fast for us to see, so we had to ask the lovely owner for advice. She has the specialty drink menu printed but I wish there were either an online menu to view via QR code or full printed menu at the shop. Luckily, she was extremely patient and helpful. Everyone who popped into the shop was greeted so warmly, many clearly regulars. I think this speaks volumes about the quality of both a product AND the people who serve you. We would gladly come back when in the area.
