Despite having to wait 45 minutes for a table, this is a great breakfast spot. Their soda machine was also broken, so I had an apple juice. I ordered the basic breakfast and then split the chocolate banana peanut butter pancakes with my friend. Service was very friendly, and food was very tasty. Portions could've been a little bigger. Regardless, great spot!

Food was okay, service was very dry and seemed like I was a pest. Price was great. The cappuccino (Milligan's maple) was the best thing about this place. I had the chorizo scramble: two eggs scrambled with chorizo, red pepper, onion, white cheddar, topped with smoky salsa and chive crema, side of smashed potato's, and toast. Parking was okay, but we did go pretty early.

I thought this would be a great place to start off the morning with brunch and was disappointed. I got a salad that was $15. I was told by the waitress it was huge and it wasn't. It was regular schmegular. The goetta and scrambled eggs were mehhh. The only thing that I had that was good was the crispy bacon. Overall, the atmosphere was great but I don't think I'll be coming back. Our waitress was all over the place (older lady but nice). The service wasn't that good and 2 of my coworkers said the same thing.

Stoped by to try this place out. By the looks outside it looked like it was a small place but once finding the entrance it was much bigger than expected. We both did breakfast I had the worker bee with a pancake and goetta. My wife had the breakfast burrito. I liked the pancake and the goetta was good since it was from a butcher shop and not geilers. My wife thought the burrito was mostly the tortilla and had a plain taste even with the sauces. I tried it and agreed with her. The service was spotty. Not once were we asked for a refill. Our server was busy talking. The sandwiches looked good so we may try those next time.

Sleepy Bee has always been a solid choice for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. I came here after a workout class with friends and had The Queen City Bee. The sweet and savory taste of the sandwich is delicious and the milk bun ties the ingredients together nicely. Our server was very helpful when we were deciding on our sides. The interior is decorated with bee merchandise with a lot of information about how important bees are for our ecosystem and food supply. The local farms and vendors were listed, as well. I liked knowing I was supporting local farms and businesses with my meal. My meal was an incredible way to start my day. I've always liked Sleepy Bee but admire them even more after learning about their dedication for giving back to our environment and saving the bees.

I went to the College Hill Sleepy Bee a couple years ago and remember the options being a bit trendy. Today I came and was ready for a savory brunch. Sleepy Bee is perfect for brunches, they've got plenty of options from sandwiches to scrambles to pancakes and sides including potatoes and such. I got the Chorizo Scramble this time. I was a little concerned that the chorizo would be spicy (as a spice sensitive person) but it was perfect and our server put the salsa on the side. The toast paired great with it. I got the red skin potatoes and the gravy was a little sweet for me. The Apple Spice Pancakes (specialty/seasonal) were delightful with crunch in the apples and seeds, but sweetness and fluffiness in the pancake and spices. I fully enjoyed the meal and service was great. I had an entire meal from my leftovers as well. My boyfriend would also like to see the sweet potato pancakes come back, says they were phenomenal the one time he got them but hasn't seen them since!

This is the second sleepy bee location I have been to where the food has been underwhelming. The coffee was sour and the menu is uninspiring, even for a chain. The menu items are all basic with nothing remarkable and are too expensive for the mediocre quality being served. The outdoor seating is very nice, though. Overall, if you want a similar vibe, just go to First Watch which is far superior in the food quality.

Great stop, amazing service! Food was 4 star but the service was as good as it gets. On a busy Sunday morning Kimberly was amazingly attentive and super friendly. Waters never below half full. Explained the menu items. Just amazing. Our food was also very good. We will return.

Hit up the Blue Ash location before our 4th of July festivities. There is plenty of seating so we got a table right away. I also loved all the natural light at this location. Our waitress was very kind and attentive. The seasonal fruit on my pancakes was so fresh. I don't think I've ever had a bad experience when eating at Sleepy Bee, but this time was particularly nice.

The service was with genuine smiles and geniality on a busy Saturday afternoon. Super family friendly vibe and definitely a local favorite spot! It only took about 15 minutes for our party of 2 to be seated. I ordered the dirty chai and it was so pretty and tasted great. I was excited to see turkey sausage on the menu as for health reasons I no longer eat delicious pork products. Sadly I was so disappointed by the sausage that I not only couldn't finish it but I couldn't finish my entire breakfast. The pancakes were amazing and my scrambled eggs and redskin potatoes were tasty. If you are looking for the turkey substitute for your protein, I wouldn't recommend it here. The rest of the menu seems pretty good, though!!

    1. Parmesan-Crusted Pork Chop This plate came out looking…read moreserious. The pork chops had that golden, crunchy sear that lets you know the chef didn't cheat the pan. The crust is seasoned well, giving each bite a savory crunch before you hit the juicy center. The sauce on the bottom adds flavor but also runs a little thin, so it doesn't cling as much as you'd expect. The mashed potatoes are smooth, and those crispy fried onions on top add the right texture. Solid, comforting, and flavorful -- just needed a thicker reduction to tighten the plate. 2. Gnocchi with Braised Short Rib Sauce This dish is exactly what comfort food wants to be when it grows up. The gnocchi is soft, pillowy, and coated in a rich, slow-simmered sauce that tastes like somebody took their time building layers. You get a blend of tomato, parmesan, herbs, and that short rib flavor that carries the whole bowl. It's heavy -- in a good way -- and every bite feels like fall weather in a bowl. Definitely one of the stronger dishes. 3. Parmesan-Crusted Chicken with Green Beans & Tomato Relish The chicken is fried to that perfect "crisp but not greasy" level. The parmesan crust gives it a nutty, salty pop, while the tomato pieces add freshness to cut through the richness. The shredded parmesan on top melts just enough to tie everything together. The green beans are cooked right -- not soggy, still with a snap. The side dish (mac & cheese, most likely) is creamy with a buttery breadcrumb top that adds the right crunch. Overall, a well-balanced plate. 4. Spaghetti & Meatballs This is classic Italian comfort done the Cooper's Hawk way. The sauce is thick, tangy, and bright with tomato flavor. The meatballs are tender and seasoned well, and the touch of ricotta on top softens the acidity and makes the sauce creamy as you mix it in. The pasta is cooked right -- not mushy, not stiff, easy to twirl. Simple, hearty, and dependable. Overall Impression Cooper's Hawk came through with a table full of comfort and richness. Everything was plated well, seasoned properly, and cooked with intention. The standout dishes are the gnocchi and the parmesan-crusted chicken, but nothing on the table missed the mark.

We tried the Grilled Mahi sandwich ($17.99) and the Soup & Sandwich combo ($19.99). A glass of wine was $11 and a soft drink was $4.99. $70 with tax and tip. The term "upscale" seems to have become a euphemism for "more expensive than you thought it was going to be". I rated it 3 stars for several reasons. First, the food tasted very salty, almost to the point of us sending it back but we didn't because we had been waiting almost 30 minutes and were hungry. The slow service was reason two. Reason three was the price point. Five bucks for a coke? Twenty bucks for a soup and sandwich? The food was OK but the value just wasn't there. And reason four was the noise level. It was so loud I couldn't take an incoming cell phone call. Having said all that, they didn't seem to be hurting for business on a Friday afternoon so all I can say is it seems there are a lot of people out there who really like the place. If you're one of them, I think you'll find this Coopers Hawk a great place for lunch or dinner.

My friend started with calamari, served on a bed of Asian slaw. The rings were tender and tasty, and nicely complemented by the slaw. The soup du jour was shrimp bisque, which I eagerly ordered. I wish it hadn't been completely pureed, because I like bits of shrimp in it, but it was still excellent, tasting of shrimp, cream, and delicate seasonings. Moving on, he had the meatloaf, and we both liked it. I had the day's special of my favorite fish - halibut. It was perfectly seared, sitting in a pool of browned butter sauce and garnished with pine nuts, all accompanied by tasty spinach and garlic mashed potatoes. We each enjoyed a slice of carrot cake for dessert. I definitely don't intend to let 7 years slip by before I return, especially since the specials of the day kept me from trying the Kenwood salad and red wined braised short rib. I almost forgot to say that Wendy gave us flawless service, and showed us an alternative exit that didn't make me return across the rough stone floor with my walker.

Thankfully as mentioned, we had reservations. We arrived first and the person seating us graciously showed me the way to the restroom (it was a bit of a hike). I had no idea there was so much space inside the restaurant. The menu was large and I changed my mind several times before ordering. Everyone at the table got something different with the exception of two that ordered the special of the day. Our server was kind and helpful, but I think she was a bit overwhelmed. We weren't in a hurry so it wasn't an issue. I ordered MARINATED TOFU "POKE" BOWL BROWN SHORT GRAIN RICE, MISO-SOY MARINATED TOFU, CUCUMBER, SNOW PEAS RADISH, SWEET POTATO, ENOKI MUSHROOMS, EDAMAME, SEAWEED SALAD, SESAME SEEDS, SPICY MAYO. Everything was chopped up nicely, which made eating it a breeze. It was a lot of food! It was also very flavorful. The spicy mayo, which wasn't spicy, helped all the ingredients come together. I could have stopped half way because I was approaching fullness, but I powered through and finished it all. And with all that, I did not leave feeling stuffed. Rather, I was pleasantly satisfied. Mark had KENWOOD BIBB & SPINACH, GOAT CHEESE, CRANBERRIES, PINE NUTS, ROMA TOMATO, HONEY POPPYSEED DRESSING and French Onion Soup. He found the salad fresh and the soup was beautiful, loaded with cheese and delicious. Someone ordered 1/2 Sandwich and Soup. She had the Reuben and the 1/2 sandwich was huge! Someone else ordered the Trio Club with broccoli. She enjoyed her meal. The two folks who had the special, four shrimp over eggplant Parmesan, were less than impressed. They said it was a little bland and dry. It could have used more sauce and a bit more Italian seasoning. Our dining experience overall was great and we would return.

It's rare that a house salad stands out like that, but this one absolutely did. Now let's talk about the prime rib. I typically do not like steak or prime rib... but our waitress recommended it as the best thing on the menu, and honestly the Yelp photos had already convinced me. When I tell you it was BOMB -- I mean it. So tender. So flavorful. Perfectly cooked. Paired with broccolini and mashed potatoes, it was a whole experience. We are in town visiting and we went there for a nice meat meal after several days of dairy on the road. There were 6 of us at the table with 2 children. If I lived in town I would not be going back. They had 1 waitress working the entire place. She was kind enough but all she did was make excuses. We sat down at 6:15 and we did not get our hummus appetizer, which apparently they ran out of soon after, until 7:15. When we arrived there was only 2 tables occupied so it was not bustling. I am not sure how or why it took so long to prepare Hummus but given the ingredients I could have scratch cooked our entire meals in a fraction of that time. Again, when we arrived there were 2 other tables of 2 and maybe 1-2 small orders picked up during out time there. During our visit they had several more groups come in, some served before us, some getting the constant refrain, "we are out of this." It seems like there was 1 chef in the kitchen preparing all the food on their own. It is also highly problematic that they had 2 small children sitting there for an hour with not even a little bread or anything. We had to push the waitress to get the hot dogs out so they would calm down. As for the food, most of it was OK. The ribeye was properly cooked. The braised short rib was tender with a little wine flavor. The kids hot dogs were hot dogs. The chicken schwarma was flavorful. The Israeli salad was what you would expect. The green beans were overcooked, unseasoned and tasted like nothing. The worst and most impressive thing was how they got the mashed potatoes to taste like they came from a powder out of a box. I don't often leave something completely uneaten but they were inedible. How you can serve a $50 steak with such artificial swill is beyond me. I get it, they are the only option. Fail!
