Despite having to wait 45 minutes for a table, this is a great breakfast spot. Their soda machine was also broken, so I had an apple juice. I ordered the basic breakfast and then split the chocolate banana peanut butter pancakes with my friend. Service was very friendly, and food was very tasty. Portions could've been a little bigger. Regardless, great spot!

Stopped in for breakfast based on yelp reviews. They did not disappoint. A very local restaurant with a number of regular customers from what it appears. I would be too if i lived here. Great service and very friendly staff. The bathrooms could use an upgrade however. Loved the food, coffee and the vibesc

Food was okay, service was very dry and seemed like I was a pest. Price was great. The cappuccino (Milligan's maple) was the best thing about this place. I had the chorizo scramble: two eggs scrambled with chorizo, red pepper, onion, white cheddar, topped with smoky salsa and chive crema, side of smashed potato's, and toast. Parking was okay, but we did go pretty early.

Picture worthy coffee. Very cute little breakfast spot. Food is okay, needed hot sauce, pepper and salt. LOL maybe it's just me..

I thought this would be a great place to start off the morning with brunch and was disappointed. I got a salad that was $15. I was told by the waitress it was huge and it wasn't. It was regular schmegular. The goetta and scrambled eggs were mehhh. The only thing that I had that was good was the crispy bacon. Overall, the atmosphere was great but I don't think I'll be coming back. Our waitress was all over the place (older lady but nice). The service wasn't that good and 2 of my coworkers said the same thing.

This was a cute little cafe we went to for brunch! It was right after Christmas so the wait was a little long but it's a pretty big space! We had 4 people but were sat at a 6 top. The grilled cheese was good but a little dry, I used the salad dressing to dip it. The Greek omelet was delicious and has great flavor

Worker bee breakfast and breakfast burrito

Stoped by to try this place out. By the looks outside it looked like it was a small place but once finding the entrance it was much bigger than expected. We both did breakfast I had the worker bee with a pancake and goetta. My wife had the breakfast burrito. I liked the pancake and the goetta was good since it was from a butcher shop and not geilers. My wife thought the burrito was mostly the tortilla and had a plain taste even with the sauces. I tried it and agreed with her. The service was spotty. Not once were we asked for a refill. Our server was busy talking. The sandwiches looked good so we may try those next time.

It looks worse in person. Black on both sides. Ordered butter milk pancakes with blueberries and bananas. No such fruit included.

Epic failure. We've eaten at sleepy bee a lot over the years. We decided to treat ourselves to the additional expense of DoorDash and sleepy bee and ordered 2 carryout pancakes with blueberries and bananas. We received one partially raw pancake with a few sad strawberries. (We have strawberry allergies in our family). And one pancake that was black on both sides. Would the cook serve those to anyone they knew? Where was the oversight in the kitchen? Why did these leave ahead kitchen? Do the staff think if it's carryout or doordash we won't notice?

    Cold

We went to Sleepy Bee today and had a very disappointing experience. All of the food arrived cold, and when we informed the server, they confirmed that the food was indeed cold. We barely touched any of the meals because they were not enjoyable to eat. Despite this, no solution was offered -- no remake, no discount, no apology beyond acknowledging the issue. Since we had already drank our coffee, we ended up paying the full bill anyway. This felt very unfair and unprofessional. I normally understand that mistakes can happen, but the way the situation was handled was extremely disappointing.

Sleepy Bee has always been a solid choice for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. I came here after a workout class with friends and had The Queen City Bee. The sweet and savory taste of the sandwich is delicious and the milk bun ties the ingredients together nicely. Our server was very helpful when we were deciding on our sides. The interior is decorated with bee merchandise with a lot of information about how important bees are for our ecosystem and food supply. The local farms and vendors were listed, as well. I liked knowing I was supporting local farms and businesses with my meal. My meal was an incredible way to start my day. I've always liked Sleepy Bee but admire them even more after learning about their dedication for giving back to our environment and saving the bees.

Chorizo scramble, Apple Spice Pancakes, Broakley

I went to the College Hill Sleepy Bee a couple years ago and remember the options being a bit trendy. Today I came and was ready for a savory brunch. Sleepy Bee is perfect for brunches, they've got plenty of options from sandwiches to scrambles to pancakes and sides including potatoes and such. I got the Chorizo Scramble this time. I was a little concerned that the chorizo would be spicy (as a spice sensitive person) but it was perfect and our server put the salsa on the side. The toast paired great with it. I got the red skin potatoes and the gravy was a little sweet for me. The Apple Spice Pancakes (specialty/seasonal) were delightful with crunch in the apples and seeds, but sweetness and fluffiness in the pancake and spices. I fully enjoyed the meal and service was great. I had an entire meal from my leftovers as well. My boyfriend would also like to see the sweet potato pancakes come back, says they were phenomenal the one time he got them but hasn't seen them since!

This is the second sleepy bee location I have been to where the food has been underwhelming. The coffee was sour and the menu is uninspiring, even for a chain. The menu items are all basic with nothing remarkable and are too expensive for the mediocre quality being served. The outdoor seating is very nice, though. Overall, if you want a similar vibe, just go to First Watch which is far superior in the food quality.

Great stop, amazing service! Food was 4 star but the service was as good as it gets. On a busy Sunday morning Kimberly was amazingly attentive and super friendly. Waters never below half full. Explained the menu items. Just amazing. Our food was also very good. We will return.

This location is pretty close to me so it's pretty convenient although it's not my favorite location. I say this because even though the main food order is right, they normally forget to add a pickle in, or I order a large potato salad and sometimes get the regular size. I started ordering the large because they often don't fill their already small container up. I have had times where it's a scoop and you can see the bottom of the container and sides around it. I'm like come on lol, I paid for this. But because I carry out or my hubby goes he doesn't check. But the good news is this time-I had a full container and that made happy! As well as both of us got our pickles! It's the little things. I normally order the Italian 12" and hubs gets the Spicy Turkey 12". We eat half and save the other half for the next day. But this time I veered and ordered the Chicago French Dip. Tip: Put it in the air fryer the next day to crisp and warm it up! 400° 5-7 min is perfect for us. And I'll add some jalapeños and banana peppers-so yummy. I forgot that I had ordered this before but remembered as soon as I took a bite. It's kinda bland, to be honest. It has carrots on it too which is kinda weird for me. That's just me though. It doesn't distract from the sandwich though so don't be scared. Lol The roast beef is a thicker cut so if you prefer shaved, this isn't that. The au jus is not beefy just salty. So kinda underwhelming. So I ditched the au jus the next day and open faced it like I do in my air fryer with jalapeño slices, roasted red pepper deli slices, and banana peppers. I added a shmear of mayo and a lil mustard. It was really good. Packed some flavor in there. For dessert I got a white macadamia nut cookie because they were all out of their toffee crunch cheesecake. Hubs guilty pleasure is their colossal carrot cake so he got that. It wasn't colossal this time but he was fine with that nonetheless. One more thing to note: If you have their membership and have points, you can get a free ice tea or a 6" sandwich. They will not apply it to a 12". So order two 6" if you want the 12" and you'll get one free. They won't substitute for a cookie or cake though. Not at this location at least.

I ended up getting the McAllister Club Wrap with Black Forest Ham, bacon, roasted turkey, sharp cheddar and Swiss cheese, spring mix, tomato and honey mustard. They accommodated my request to heat up the wrap. Also selected the Pecanberry salad with strawberry, blueberry, pecan, grilled chicken and a spring lettuce mix. The fat free raspberry pecan vinaigrette dressing was very tasty. Also had the McAlister Club and the pick 2 with club salad and chicken sandwich. For my drink tried the world famous tea with peach flavoring. The dining area was clean with both indoor and outdoor area seating. The staff was friendly taking our order and also delivering the food to the table and picking up our plates when we were finished eating.
