We went on New Year's Eve and there was no weight at 9:30 AM. By the time that we left, you couldn't even get out the door. There were so many people standing there waiting to be seated. Cute diner style lots of fun colors love the ducks, but they don't bring them to your table any longer. I had some of the best goetta ever, but the scrambled eggs not so much. Also loved the toast if you love buttered toast this is the place for you.

Here's the deal: bright colors and vibrant decor make this a great place for a casual bite to eat with friends and/or a young family!! Service was great and food was tasty! Plenty of items available for all appetites!

Sugar N Spice is a great place to grab a delicious breakfast. Having been around since 1941, they've clearly figured out what works. Modern build but a truly classic diner vibe, with tiled walks and colorful booths. Their menu is pretty extensive and offers options for most diets and tastes. The greeter was quick to seat us and let us move tables away from the door. Our server was very friendly and knew the menu very well! Prices were very fair for the portion. The spicy chicken burrito was huge and packed full of ingredients and flavor. It could easily be shared and still be filling. The Meat Lovers platter is EXACTLY what the title claims. I ordered my eggs over medium and that is how they were prepared. I'd never had Guetta prior to stopping in here and it was surprisingly good! The plate also comes with a sausage patty, fried smoked sausage, bacon, two slices of toast and a decent serving of home fries. The coffee is dark, strong and excellent. I will definitely stop back the next time I'm in the area. Highly recommend.

Fantastic breakfast/brunch/lunch spot in OTR. Old school diner vibe and food selection with some nice modern additions. I really enjoyed the avocado breakfast burrito and home fries. Service by Amber was excellent. They'll treat you like a regular even if it is your first time there.

I did like the environment and the look of the restaurant. It had a unique set up and the feeling in was great. The service was slower than expected even without it being packed. The food was average. Nothing stuck out to me.

Sugar n' Spice, oh how nice! I haven't eaten at Sugar n' Spice in years! While out and about, my family and I decided on breakfast, the best place was Sugar n' Spice! And, what a great choice we made! This whimsical location on Summit Pkwy is so cute, bright, colorful and full of goodness! My belly couldn't stand it, I was so hungry! The menu is stacked with delicious selections to choose from. I went with the breakfast platter that included eggs, bacon (or sausage), toast, hash browns or home fries. My eggs were light and fluffy, my bacon was tasty, the home fries...oh, those home fries...omg! The best! And the toast? Perfectly buttered. To top things off I added a half order of whispy pancakes! Yummy! My tastebuds hadn't danced like this over breakfast in a while, and they were "cutting a two-step"! This little gem of a place has such a long history, and I hope it sticks around for many more years! Shout out to Daphne who served us, your energy was amazing! And the Server that told us the story about how his siblings played "restaurant" when they were kids, so sweet! Breakfast or lunch, you'll love this place a bunch! What are y'all waiting on, get on over to Sugar n' Spice! And tell your tastebuds I said "you're welcome"! Enjoy! See you when I come back home to visit, Sugar n' Spice!

I have heard so many good reviews on this place and I was very disappointed. The food was not what I expected hand overpriced. The service was great and the facility was fantastic and very clean, but the food which is what I want for, but not at all to my liking. I will not be going back !

This place is a Great location near summit park. Perfect oversized booths to bring family in for dinner. The manager is super sweet and very accommodating to kids on the spectrum. I order eggs Benedict and it was pretty good. My partners order was messed up but it was quickly fixed. Parking is limited out front but if you check in on socials with specific hashtag, you can get 20% off!

I love this restaurant! It's a Cincinnati classic. I prefer the Blue Ash location because it's clean and spacious. The decor is so cute and retro. I love the homey feel. Service is always super quick. I've never had a bad experience with their staff. This is a great place to get a classic American breakfast! The burrito is my favorite breakfast item but they have great pancakes and bacon as well. I recently went for lunch for the first time. It was wonderful. I got the Steak Philly, it was hot the ratio of veggies to meat and cheese was perfect. My only complaint is that I would like more seasoning on the steak. The fries are Cajun. LOVED THEM. My coworker got the burger, she loved it. Lunch was a little heavy so I would recommend getting it when you have no other plans because it'll put you right to sleep.

Got to try sugar n' spice for the first with some friends! It was such a fun place with all the colors and decor. I got some biscuits and gravy and a blueberry pancake to share w my friends. They have a lot of classic diner dishes on the menu and great breakfast options. Once you get your check, they let you pick from a basket full of different rubber ducks and you get to take it home with you! A fun souvenir to remember your experience at sugar n' spice. I loved it here and I would come back again!

One of 3 locations in Cincy and probably the easiest to get a table. Old school diner vibes with big plates and reasonable prices. Had the breakfast platter which was solid and chocolate chip pancakes on the side. Pancakes are advertised as thin and wispy and they sure are, kinda crepe-like. Nice and light to go along with a big breakfast plate

Sugar n' Spice Diner is taking over! I've been to the original a few times. I haven't been to the Diner and we made one stop here. It's a cute place, to be sure, and I love the ducks. The food, however, is just OK. We've never had anything bad, but really... it's just OK. This location was super convenient post cataract surgery. I had it scoped out and we knew this was where we wanted to go. Our waitress was super nice and service was great. The food was standard diner food.

Service & food good. For a place making an obvious appeal to the kiddos, the play on words on the staff t-shirts seemed out of place.

I LOVE this place…read more They may single-handedly have the best margaritas in town. Tasty and strong -- just how I like them. Every time I go, the drinks are consistent and well-balanced, and they don't skimp. I usually pop in for a quick happy hour with friends or former coworkers, and it's perfect for that. So far I've had the deviled eggs and the potato latkes, and both were really good -- great little bites to pair with a margarita. The vibes are super cute, cozy, and welcoming. I cannot wait until the weather warms up so I can sit out on the patio -- it's going to be such a whole mood. The staff is always friendly and helpful, which makes the experience even better. Pro tip: if you get there around 4:30-5:00 PM, you typically won't have much of a wait. If you're in Blue Ash and want strong margaritas, cute vibes, and easy happy hour energy -- this is your spot.

Our server brought all three food dishes out at the same time, which we could not even fit on the small table without taking off some things to put on the bench next to me. The soup was tasty, but mostly large cubes of bread with practically no cheese at all. The Croque Madame had no discernible cheese on it at all. The worst part: we each requested a coffee refill (one was never offered), and our server poured half of my friend's topped up coffee directly from her cup into my cup! I was so shocked that I was speechless. To top off this incredible faux pas, she split the check into two without asking, and I was treating my friend. Instead of bringing a new check as I requested, she had me sign her tablet that just showed the total, with no breakout, had me fill in her tip, and then walked away with neither asking me if I wanted a receipt, which of course I did, nor providing me with one. The coffee thing was so gross and unsanitary that I never shall return.

Not quite what I expected as it was a hashbrown mixed with cheese but it was pretty good. She allowed us to taste one of the beers before we committed on one. I haven't been to many cafés that have beer on tap but they have two kinds and I think that's pretty cool! I got a gingerbread latte which was tasty, not much of a gingerbread flavor. Busy place with good food! Adds 3% if you pay with a credit (not a debit) card…read more We got here without a reservation on a Monday around noon (May 2026). While they were busy, we didnt have to wait long for a booth. Our server quickly offered strong hot $4 coffee and a personal teapot to brew our $4 Earl Grey. There were season recipes available, but we found what we wanted on the regular menu. $10 Eggs As You Wish gave us two over-easy eggs, super-crispy hash brown sticks, our choice of slightly-sweet whole grain toast, and a $4 add-on of a savory oatey local pork-beef hash called goetta, much like Maryland's corn-based scrapple. We had more good old breakfast food: a $12 stack of fluffy buttermilk pancakes with whipped butter, light powdered sugar, a maple syrup, with a side of goetta included. Both were breakfasts that were a perfect traditional balance of flavor and texture. We had luscious $14 Smoked Salmon Toast on richly-flavored multigrain toast, made into a crunchy fresh sandwich with caper-dotted cream cheese, crisp cucumber slices, sliced red onion, and tasty microgreens. And we went vegetarian with $11.50 Vegetable multigrain Toast: creamy avocado, thick ripe tomato, pickled red onion, fresh cucumber, thin radish slices, and microgreens All of the food was delicious and creative, and that includes the tasty well-crafted vegetarian offerings. Prices were quite reasonable. The staff was welcoming and attentive. We ate at a leisurely pace with generous coffee refills, and never felt rushed. We envied those who thought to ask for patio-seating. They do add 3% to credit-card payments (not to debit-cards), which is posted so you know ahead of time. My only advice is to ask for a table if you find that a booth can feel a little tight. (Me :-). We loved our visit here!
