Multiple times we were told about issues with the kitchen and how everyone was having to slow service and tables because the kitchen couldn't handle it. We looked around and by the time we sat down after 7p half the restaurant was empty! We finally got (some) of our food around 8p which was a bizarre mix of appetizers and entrees that were very lukewarm. The presentation and concept is great and we really enjoyed the beers. However, the SERVICE and operational management of this place was running like a restaurant just opened last week or something out of 'Bar Rescue'. Not sure we would want to go back...

I took a couple bites of the avocado toast to see how hot it really was or if my kid was just being a complainer, and the taste was overwhelming! He tried to still eat the egg, but couldn't take more than probably three bites. The waitress was really sweet, but didn't even come around again until it was time to give me the check. when I told her that his food still had hot sauce on it, she said "I put it in for them to not have it on there, I'm sorry" and then took the payment. I'm not one to argue for a discount or replacement because I understand things happen, but we will not be returning for anything other than the coffee shop.

I've never had potato cakes before, so now I am on a mission to learn how to make them from home. The eggs were buttery and fluffy - I loved them. The sausage tasted just like how my grandma makes it. The waitress (who was super bubbly and friendly!) suggested I get the brown sugar butter with my waffle and she was so right. I've never had something like that, but there is no going wrong with brown sugar or butter - the combination of the two obviously is amazing! I can't wait to go back and try even more on the menu!

The string lines are cute. They have music playing and Pixar movies on the TV. My favorite is the Sweet Brunch Sandwich. I also really like their biscuits and sausage gravy. Their home fries have the perfect amount of crispiness. I've tried other things on the menu and it's all been decent. Their flavored iced coffee was not great, though. I mean it's a diner so it's not like... super fancy and I wouldn't exactly say it's worth going out of your way for. I gave a bonus star for the service :)
