I've eaten here several times. I've sat at the bar and sat at a table. I've been in large groups and flown solo to grab a quick bite. With the exception of sitting at the bad, I've had one thing in common with every experience: bland customer service. It feels like every time I've sat at a table and had a server, they aren't all that friendly and always seemed rushed. Outside of that, the food is always consistent and great value. I wasn't as pleased with the wings, but everything else I've had I would order again. The goetta quesadilla is on point! These pulled pork nachos were also super great! Stopped by for a bite and a beer before a movie. Sit wherever, as many places can be. Many tables, most were clean. Typical sports bat set up. Lots of TVs. The biggest issue was getting the attention of a server. Even after we placed our order she was hard to find. Especially when we wanted the check. The food was decent, not spectacular, but above average for a sports bar. We were on the west side to see a very limited release movie down the street. Look for my review of Cinemark West if you want the skinny on that experience. I mention this as I wouldn't make a special trip. One humorous note... Their website suggests a great skyline view. First time coming here, wanted a place to eat and relax at that was close to my hotel I was lodging at for the night. It was bustling when I was here. Thankfully I was able to get a bar seat without any issue. I tried out one of their club sandwich combos which were pretty great for the price advertised. I was caught off guard with their liquor on tap. When asked for my drink size for a " small, medium or large" ( assuming a large was your typical tallboy glass) it's actually in a 32oz cup! That's absolutely huge! So if you're planning on drinking a little, just get a small or medium. Staff was friendly. Bathrooms were great. The bill at the end was a fair price. Omg. I'm not kidding. The parking lot full on a Sunday afternoon at about 3:30 pm we stopped in and immediately found a seat. Packed with families and friends supporting a local baseball team, we still were served quickly. This place has multi screens, plenty of seating for small or large groups- happy hour for domestic drafts 2-7 everyday plus half priced pickle chips $3.50 and fries. The food was hot -local flare and lots of appetizers. West side Rueben and grilled Turkey wrap didn't disappoint for $12 with elevated sweet potato fries. Typical side Saratoga chips. Anyway. Started out with the loaded tater tots. They were just okay. Seems like they were missing something else because they were dry. The burger was a Santa Fe burger which had pico and pickled jalapeños and a homemade sauce. This isn't my favorite burger. It was a pre made patty that wasn't seasoned. The burger tasted bland and not a lot of flavor. Got a side chili. Cincinnati style so it was like eating skyline. It wasn't bad but not exciting. The wife got a grilled chicken wrap with Saratoga chips. The wrap was good but has a lot of onions. She said the Saratoga chips were good, not greasy like other places. My husband and i have never been here, we decided to try out this place due to burger weeks app advertisement. This establishment offered everything my husband loves burgers, brisket, onion rings, caramelized onions and American cheese. Everything was so flavorful only a few complaints they forgot the onion ring on the burger, but we did order their onion ring basket so we were able to add that to our burgers which made it compete! The only other issue was trivia night was crazy busy bumped and not as much interaction as we'd like. We will definitely be back on a non trivia night! read more

We've been coming in here off and on for years. Today we just wanted a grab a couple of beers and have lunch around 1pm. It seemed like every table was reserved starting at 2pm. I get that the Bengals play at 6:30 in the AFC Championship Game, but how can you reserve most if not every table! We've been to bucketheads a handful of times now and alway enjoy our experience. They have a huge selection of drinks and food. I've had both breakfast and lunch items and enjoy both. Do not spend your hard earned money at this establishment....the service is disrespectful, the number of complaints they have received on staff and ownership is well documented....look it up The only way to transform a behavior is to either not spend time at bucketheads, create a new sports bar across the street or go to crossroads , tavern or previously owned take 5 and stand by your choice. Change comes from people who take a stand and say enough is enough and we can see that coming...Once the patrons stop spending their money here and the restaurant experiences a slow trend and unfortunately a financial impact to their bottom line they will be forced to change their tactics. Until then customer service will remain poor , people on the westside do not have to endure this level of customer service towards a tight knit community that likes to go out and share moments not walk away with complaints It's really unfortunate that a post like this has to be written but as stated we have a voice and platform now and the effort must be made to show that bucketheads needs to change or they will no longer exist or people will choose to go to another establishment. We have a choice and I understand their are other sides to a response. Top thing to remember about Bucketheads- it's a local sports bar, that I think is best to visit just for drinking and watching sports. A few weeks ago I went with some friends and family to grab some dinner, and we weren't really impressed with the food. It has a great atmosphere for watching games but if you're trying to get food I would recommend sticking to the appetizers. It was very busy, and it was a seat yourself situation. We had to wait about 20 minutes for a table to open up for our large group, but that is to be expected when a major sports game is going on. I don't think I'll return for dinner, but I'll come back to catch a game and grab a few beers! read more

I used to hear really good things about this place. Me and my friend decided to come here looking for some wings, fries, burgers, the type of food this place has...and honestly, we never walk into a place with high expectations, but with some expectations none the less. Considering we'd never been there, I asked the waitress what she recommends and she said "idk, everything?" that should've been a red flag. but she rattled off a burger and I did get that. but I saw the wings said "Jumbo wings" and I got those too. the price of 17$ was extreme to me because they were pinky finger size and dry. I got HOT-Buffalo and they tasted like nothing. My burger only had flavor because of the bbq sauce. The salad was meh. The fries were terrible. I mean it's like the food was microwaved and not even seasoned. The best thing I had there was probably my coke. Atleast it was carbonated. I honestly do not recommend this place. Go to roosters, Buffalo wild wings, or anywhere else...McDonald's on a good day has better food. read more

Great food selection, and I mean there is plenty to choose from and not just bar food. I had the melt and it was awesome. Service was prompt and perfect. Beer was cold and had great quantity to choose. I've been here before and never had a bad experience. There are plenty of TVs so there isn't a bad seat to watch what you want. read more

It's a sports bar. It's pretty good food and it gets crowded (pre-COVID) during major sports events and it was kind of maxed out the last time we were there under the current rules. I've never had a problem with the food/drinks or the service. What's disconcerting to me is that it seems to attract a very racist customer base. They cheered a Trump commercial when it came on TV! My husband and I stopped in last night for a quick dinner as we've eaten here before and enjoyed their food. I ordered onion soup that tasted like someone dumped a box of salt in the bowl. My husband ordered a burger, which came with celery and bleu cheese. There was an upcharge for the bleu cheese dressing, which tasted like something you'd find expired at the bottom of a discount cart. It was definitely bottled dressing and was a poor/cheap quality. While there was catsup and mustard on the table, I had to ask for mayo--apparently they keep it looked up in the back. One of the employees brought a tiny plastic container of mayo to our table. We aren't picky about the brand of mayo we use, as most restaurants use pretty good quality condiments. Their mayo had no real taste and was actually really yucky. No one asked us if we enjoyed our meal. VERY disappointed with our dining experience last night; will not stop for food in the future. read more

What a hidden little sports bar joint on the Westside! It is tucked into a plaza, so that could make parking a little difficult, but worth the trip. The place feels very much like a B-Dubs, without all the things you hate about those places. You know-the kids running around, table trivia games, and messy floors. While it still has the awkward tables, big flat screens, and rowdy fans it feels less offensive here than other sports spots. Great wings, good burgers, and the surprise in the mix was my meal, which was an amazing salmon salad. While it was on a Westside staple of iceberg lettuce mix (meh), the salmon was juicy, seasoned perfectly, and literally better than ones I have paid 20+ dollars for elsewhere (I'm looking at you Cheesecake Factory). Good little spot for beers and bigger on the inside than it looks from out front. I can't wait to come back to watch a game! read more

I have been a patron of Bucketheads for over 10 years to watch a game or grab a quick bite to eat with my kids. 2 times in a row the bartender, Ellie, has been extremely rude to myself or others. There were 4 of us (2 couples) who stopped in for a glass of wine/cocktail after dinner. We were there less than an hour. We were sitting at a table (not the bar), and had not spoken to or engaged with the bartender behind the bar. Our server was very sweet. We were served drinks and immediately upon receiving them and the bill together, lights were turned on and we were told they were closed and time to leave. The bartender began LOUDLY making rude comments to us, and about us to the other staff, at which point I asked for the owners name and hers as well. She didn't seem to care and let me know he wouldn't as well. I called the owner, Tom, the next morning to let him know about the way his closing bartender treats his paying customers, as I have now witnessed this twice. Tom didn't seem to care in the least. Clearly the staff and owner alike think rude behavior to customers is acceptable. I will not be returning. read more
