We had lunch at this neighborhood pub with friendly people and good food. Typical bar food, the burgers were excellent and wings were perfectly cooked. I had honey bbq sauce on mine. Just the right amount of sauce and seasoned perfectly. The kitchen was on it. Food came out quickly, presented well The noise level is reasonable, certainly not quiet but not so loud It blows you out of the place. This place hit all the check points. Came with a large group and was told to wait for tables large enough to finish up. We patiently waited, then the party waiting behind us walked in front of us and took the tables we were waiting for and the staff said absolutely nothing. Don't acknowledge what happened - just went and took their drink order. We finally got a seat and they didn't even acknowledge our existence. Was on a trip in Cincinnati and was skeptical about going here due to not knowing if there were people of my kind. It was late and there were no food places open so upon arrival I was sad to hear that the kitchen was closed. However, I was pleasantly greeted by a bar tender who was very nice and went over and beyond as far as customer service. I wish I remembered his name but he helped us tremendously by going over and beyond and giving us restaurant suggestions that were still open and just overall a nice experience. I went here after a long day and the food was just what I needed. The wings were the best I have ever had, crispy and flavorful! Their outside patio was a great place to sit. The service was a bit slow and sometimes rushed, but our server was always nice and attentive when he was at our table. Went here on a Monday as they were close to our son's new apartment. It was a Monday, so all day happy hour 1/2 price apps. We started with pretzel bites. They weren't super great as they seemed overcooked. The cheese was good though. Drinks were pretty good and not weak. We had Jack and Cokes. The star of the show were the wings, which we all ordered. One of us got the Caribbean Jerk Dry Rub, another the OPG Dry Rub and the other the Garlic Mild. The rubs were really good. The OPG was not spicy, just kind of a sweet and tangy rub. Very good. The garlic was not soaked in butter, which was a nice change from other garlic wings I've had. Great flavor without all the grease. Veggies and dips were all tasty and the veggies were fresh. My glass was never refilled, nor was I asked for one, while the guy next to me was freshened up frequently with beer & shots. This is the Second time visiting and the food is delicious. It's the kind of food where you think about it all work week. The Burger is great and this second time we tried the Blue burger and omg it was delicious. Their wings witheither of the dry rubs are outstanding. Try the blue cheese dressingwith them as it is super thick and chunky deliciousness "note I don't even normally get blue cheese". Above all else ...you have to try the Spicy cheese curds. Great spot to hang out! The indoor is a bar, they keep it clean but I would never choose it over the outdoor area. They have a great full service patio good for anyone with part shaded. They also have a more relaxed area without full service but a walk up bar and orders coming to you by number. We each got an appetizer and shared a full salad with chicken, a couple beers later and got out below $50 for 2! Everything on the plates was great, we're definitely coming back. read more

My family loves the Pub! Went on 1/17 with my Son, his wife and daughter which was a Saturday night. It was a football game night and it was crowded with people waiting. As always the food was delicious. For an appetizer we had Crab Cakes which were delicious! My son and I had wings, and I always get their signature Salad as it's also scrumptious. We are seeing a show at 20th Century Theater and wanted to eat beforehand at someplace close. Well, ya can't get much closer than Oakley Pub and Grill. This will not be our only visit!! We shared the chips and queso, crunchy cabbage salad and the blue collar worker (40 oz Miller High Life and 20 wings). Each had a cub of chili. The food and service were fantastic! What went well? Everything. If you are looking a little upscale Dive Bar The Oakley is it. Smallish on the inside but a cool large patio outside. I like sitting at the bar and this one did not disappoint with its super cool copper top. (It's upscale rather than just divy because of there selection of beer, cocktails & quality of food) The beer selection was great with everything in cans except a few great draught selections. As for the food... well the Chili is a must. I also liked the simple menu and I made the choice of the Club sandwich.... Like I said simple but totally on point. How can I have overlooked reviewing this place for years? I often come here on Wednesdays for Burgermania. For $10.95 you get a delicious burger with lettuce, onion, pickle, and mayo, plus up to 5 toppings, with waffle fries or their special slaw, or half of each. I ordered chicken wings and a bloody Mary. The bloody Mary was great. The garnishes were awesome and the bloody Mary was the perfect ratio of spicy and boozy. However I bit into my chicken wings and they seem fine but the bone broke and I noticed inside of the bone of the chicken wing was red and bloody and almost felt raw. I know that that was the inside of the bone marrow that was red and bloody and runny and it shouldn't really matter but I know that's a sign of wings that were previously frozen. It also just kind of grossed me out that the bone marrow wasn't fully cooked so then my wings became inedible to me. However, I finished the bloody Mary and it was delicious but next time I'm really looking forward to a better dining experience. I love the outside bar at this place. The TVs are great, so I really want to be able to come back when it's warm out and try again. read more

Been here a few times and enjoyed myself. At first I didn't know how Tuesday trivia would work in such a small place but luckily there's a back room with plenty of extra seating. There's also a speaker system so you can hear from any spot. This was our first time ordering food and we enjoyed it all! The cabbage crunch was delicious, and I highly recommend the pretzel bites - we ordered a second plate they were so good. I've only had 1 less than great experience (out of the 10s of times we've been), but even then food was out quickly just a bit cold. Great sports bar hangout! While I've been to OPG many times now, it has never disappointed! The service is always killer and it's a good place for inexpensive drinks and food. They have a nice patio that is enjoyable all year round. The draft menu is always changing and local brews are also on tap. There are also daily food specials. If you aren't in the mood for traditional fried bar food, they also have a good selection of salads and sandwiches. My favorite is the buffalo chicken wrap with ranch instead of blue cheese - it never disappoints. I would argue they have the best waffle fries in the city! read more

Stopped in for dinner with my husband and 2 month old. Sat inside, booth was big enough for the infant car seat to fit in. We split the Anderson Nachos and added blackened chicken (choice of grilled or friend or blackened) and they were amazing and hit the spot. Husband got the onion rings and black and blue burger made to order medium rare. He said the burger was *kinda* medium rare. It was also very very messy and hard to eat. But he said it was decent. I had the Reuben with pastrami and waffle fries. It was amazing. 10/10 would recommend. Good place to watch a game and have good bar food. For that I'm rounding 4.5 stars to 5.
