Definitely enjoying the British vibe. Service has always been good. The food on the other hand is mostly good. But just not great. And that's why I just can't give it five stars. The wee (small) portion is in reality quite big, and paired up with a crisp Guinness it's the perfect match! Not one of our best experiences here. The hostess took us towards a high top table, and because of back issues I cannot sit at them. I asked if we could have a regular table and she said I don't think they are wiped off. She took us to one and sat us anyway and never came back to wipe it off. Had lunch here with 3 friends on 9/6/2025. Our server took drink orders right after we were seated. We took a while before ordering because we were catching up with each other and our server was patient with us. We all ordered the cranberry salad, two with chicken, one with steak, and one with a half Reuben sandwich. It seemed to take a while for the food to come out but when it did, it was good. The salads were fresh and the Reuben was very good, not too sloppy. The steak on the salad was cooked as ordered, med rare. The chicken was flavorful and not dry. I really love the fish and sweet potato fries. The fish is generously battered in delicious crispy batter and the fish is a very big portion if you get the regular (not wee) size. The tartar sauce is good and the lemon wedge is the best touch. I ordered to go and they packed malt vinegar without me asking! It was ready and hot when they said it would be. My only "complaint" is the Ruben appetizer was literally two egg rolls sized pieces for $13. If they have half price apps at happy hour I'd get them again bc they were good, but $13 for less than a sandwich sized serving in akin to robbery. Came looking for someplace with a kitchen open after 10 so we could eat and chill and talk not ready to go home after a "girls night". Great pub food & beer selection but they could use more parking spaces. Had to eat elsewhere a few times as there were no place to park.

Went Wednesday for burger week and ordered their burger special along with potato crisps and Gouda mac. The burger was good, but the Gouda mac was lacking. The pasta tasted like nothing and there was a milky substance at the bottom of the bowl. There was absolutely zero flavor which is a bummer as I was really looking forward to tasting it. We mentioned the tasteless Gouda mac to our server who asked if we wanted another bowl or a different side, which we declined. I figured that he would at least take that charge off our bill, but he did not. In hindsight, I should have asked if he could take it off, but also feel that should have been a given. All that to say, don't order the Gouda mac. read more

I come to The Pub anytime i need fish and chips. Nobody does it better. Parking is sometimes problematic and i stay away whenever there is a "big game" being broadcast, as they are then crazy loud and crowded, but i do enjoy the fish and chips occasionally. read more

On a lazy Sunday we wanted Sunday dinner. Somehow we ended up at The Pub. Turned out to be a great decision. UK pub atmosphere with UK forward menu. My wife ordered Mum's Pot Roast and it was incredible. Flavorful with a nice mix of veggies and potatoes too. I had the fish and chips. I'd swear I got to whole fish. Flaky inside, crispy outside. Cooked perfectly. The fries , I mean chips, we excellent as well. The coleslaw was not my favorite, I tend to like it a little wetter (hold back your comments) but it was decidedly fresh and only a taste preference thing. The only problem we encountered was we ended up waiting up to 10 minutes before we were acknowledged at our table. Apparently the host was new and forgot to tell someone that he sat us at the table. We were seated immediately, but it took 10 minutes for the server to come to our table. The only reason that the server came to our table was that another group was seating near us. Otherwise, I don't think that we would've been noticed. The food was fine, but it took 40 minutes to get. We were just about ready to leave, when we saw it being brought to us. The restaurant wasn't that busy. The chicken and biscuits were tasty, but could've been hotter. The fish & chips were fine, but nothing exceptional. A long overdue upgrade. My lukewarm review of the Pub is more than a decade old, and our regular visits to this restaurant over time, standing alone, suggest a higher value to us and argues for the higher rating. But beyond that, the Pub was just one of a small handful of restaurants that helped to save us from losing our minds during the first year of the pandemic: The excellent shaded patio with well-spaced tables made for seemingly safe pre-vaccination dining, and the staff, which for a long time has been great in this price range, never faltered during those early pandemic months like so many other restaurants' did. Generally, the Pub's fish and chips really are a special item: easily the best version in town that I'm familiar with. Among the other Brit items, the bangers & mash and the shepherd's pie are solid. I'm a big fan of both the fried and grilled chicken sandwiches, too, and I like that you can get a fair-sized green salad (among several other items) as a side without an upcharge. The beer list has better variety than average, although I wish it had more British stuff. Speaking of British, I'm not nearly as concerned as I used to be with the lack of British "authenticity" as I was way back then. And having spent a week-plus in Scotland just a few years back, I'd say the reality is that the Pub gets closer to a real pub than just about any other place in the city. read more

Wonderful food and the place was hopping with music and children of the sixties. I fit right in on a Friday night. The food was good too.

This was my first time checking out this place. I loved how the staff wore kilts or something similar to go with the theme of the restaurant. Everyone was so friendly and service was great. The restaurant has a small room where you can pull the curtain to close it off for intimate area or great for meetings. I listed under each picture what we ate. The Belhaven beer cheese was good but I've had better. The rest all really good. We will be back. read more

Tried this restaurant for the first time during Cincinnati Burger Week, and now I think I'll have to return for their regular menu options. The burger was thick and cooked perfectly to my liking, with a decadent bordelaise cheese sauce and "chips". Service was on time and they were very friendly. I've ate here a few times . They used to give fried pickles on the side of their burgers . . . Please go back to doing that . I like their welsch dip which is their version of a French dip but on a pretzel bun . So good and the meat is juicy! 4 stars is based partially on a previous experience with a large group, but that was multiple years ago and I had no issues with my most recent trip. Came in for a Sunday brunch and had a good experience, though it was almost empty. It took a bit to get waited on, but the food came out fast and was exactly what I ordered. Simple food, but executed well and delivered quickly with a smile. I was a little disappointed that it was 1 sausage for the price, and it didn't feel very filling in general, but there are plenty more indulgent options on the brunch menu if you'd like. read more
