We came to Putters with my in-laws and sat at the bar to meet some of their friends and enjoy some brews. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating with a variety of seating options, including high tops, bar seating and regular tables. We prefer to sit at the bar at most places, you get to meet new people and interact with the bartenders. We had a great bartender here, Kylie, who made sure our beers were full and that we were happy with our drink choices. I ended up drinking Yuengling, since I can't get it easily in California and some of our group branched out and tried some different brews. We ended up ordering some wings and got them crispy so they'd be the Buffalo style my family loves. They came out perfectly crispy and had their own hot sauce that had some good and unique spice. There were TVs everywhere and it would be a great spot to catch a game. They also have live music and special events that you can check out. The parking lot has plenty of spaces and there are other restaurants and stores around if you're looking for something before or after grabbing some drinks. read more

The atmosphere here is always pretty nice. We went for a late lunch and there were maybe 3 other tables seated. Out server was very nice and she checked in at the perfect times. Now, we always get the Buffalo chicken dip. Sometimes, that's all we get because, well...it's the best around. The seasoning on the chips is just too notch. The kids cheeseburger is a decent size and comes with a solid portion of fries. Almost too much, my 12 year old couldn't finish it. Now on to my mushroom n' swiss. This is my favorite burger option at any burger spot. This one left little to be desired. Absolutely no sear was had on this thing. It also had zero flavor. I had to add a TON of salt. Now I will say this my LAST bite I must have had a full peppercorn in it because I sure got a solid bite of flavor then. I didn't realize when ordering that the burger came pretty much plain. I wasn't offered tomato, onion or lettuce and I would have really liked to have had a big slice of onion on it. Also wasn't offered mayo but our server did grab me a pack. Stopped after a solo shopping trip. I was greeted and seated immediately. Ordered a bottled beer. It was on the warm side for me. Sauerkraut Balls were on the table tent menu. Really tasty. Ordered the boneless chicken with buffalo sauce. Really fresh and a great value compared to chain restaurants. Management doesn't seem to be paying attention to being a sports bar and continually shows the news, year old sporting events and nothing current. We ordered to pickup since it was close to our house. It has been a while since we have eaten at Putters. We both ordered the fish and chips but it should have been called chips and fish sticks. The amount of fries does not make up for in price we paid. The fish pieces were dry. It would have been better to have had 1 large piece instead of several sticks.The slaw that came with the meal was approximately 3 bites. We also ordered wings. The wings were nice size and spicy but also kinda dry like they were over cooked. I do not recommend this place unless you want shitty food and horrible service! Bartender was stuck up rude and inattentive. Food came cold and I was ready to just pay my bill and leave but when she asked me how the food was, I told her. She walked away from me mid sentence and when I called her attention back to me she tried to say I was being loud???? Since she obviously did not care? I asked for the manager, which was probably not even old enough to have a college degree; let alone be a manager of anything??? The manager is obviously out of her league and stood there all defensive and offered to "fix it"? There is no way I would send anything back to that kitchen or trust whatever came back I paid cash and took my ice cold buffalo chicken wrap home to put in the microwave to finish cooking it for them Pictures are if the ice cold food. As you can see the sauce is not melded or melting in any way and the cheese never reached room temperature let alone had a chance to get warm or turn soft let alone melt!! This is a story of excellent customer service. I ordered a wings carry out order. Upon arriving home I found the wings without any sauce and overcooked. I called immediately and instead of offering excuses or arguing I received an apology and the option of a remade order or a gift card. We really wanted to give Putters another chance. Sadly service and dinner was disappointing. The fried pickles are good, but the ranch is different than it use to be. The chicken tenders were terrible. They did not have any breading on them, like they were dipped in flour and fried. Fries were cold. We should have sent the tenders back, but it didn't. My husband and I have tried to like this place. It's close to our home. I've have never seen any improvement here. It's weird, this area is ready to boom but Putters is NOT keeping up or trying. Service was terrific! No complaints there. Food came out quickly and our server always checked in on us. Our issue is that the food and the menu is just "meh." If not bad. Again, it was dirty. Just gross. I told my husband that I would bet that every single food item came in a big frozen bag. Sure enough, we could see the kitchen (so can everyone else) and they were just pouring in huge bags in the fryer. As I said, we've given them several shots. We give up. We get take out from Putters every 2 weeks or so and it's always so good! My husband loves the burgers and boneless wings and I'm a fan of the buffalo chicken salad. Everything they make is fresh and it's seasoned very well. It's not like a cookie cutter salad or burger. On the occasions that we have eaten in the service is always pleasant and quick. Went here today and great burger and wings. The Melt was amazing but wish they put the sauce on before as it's not my job to decide how to make their sandwich better. The wings are actually crispy which is rare for most places. Do not recommend. Attempted to eat here last night for the first time in years. Was quickly reminded of why I don't dine here and why I won't be returning. As a small business owner I strive to support other small businesses in the area. Visited with my husband and had a bizarre experience. Was seated quickly enough and placed a quick drink order. The waitress with long dark hair brought us our drinks at 5:45pm. She rushed off to help a few other guests- no problem. My hubby ran out to get my jacket out of the car because I was cold. On the way out he stopped and told the waitress we were ready to order and that I knew what he wanted. She buzzed by a few more times without saying she'd be right back or even acknowledging us. When she came back it was 6:05pm. My husband asked about happy hour and she said- it's over at 6:00. She then says- do you want a new server- I said- why are you too busy? She looked at me and said- you're rude. I was shocked. I certainly wasn't being rude. So- we stood up and left. I asked my hubby if I was being rude and he said "no" (he'd be the first to tell me if I was being rude). Not sure what her problem was- she should reevaluate her career choice and choose a career where she's far away from people. With a sea of choices we won't be returning to putters. Stopped by in on a Sunday for a bite. We were greeted by a rude hostess who acted like we were bothering her by asking for a table. She placed our menus on a table at a ratty booth as she walked past it and walked off without a word. I asked our server if we could move to a table in the semi deserted restaurant. I had to walk past the hostess and told her. As I walked up I turned around to see her making faces , presumably mocking what I just said to another employee. We watched her lean on the counter chewing her gum with her mouth open, picking her nails and trying not to scowl as people came in. She seated a large table of about 6 and treated them just as rudely. She put their menus down , and walked away smacking her gum. Our whole section was filthy , crumbs on the tables, seats, and filthy floors. This place is in major need of an upgrade. The ambience is like a dirty cigar bar from the 60's. The ripped seats in the booths are a nice touch. Our server was perfectly pleasant and the food wasn't bad. The initial presentation and ignorance of the hostess turned the whole thing to negative from the get go. There are plenty of other options without mouth-breathers at the entrance. We love the atmosphere here. The price is good, the food isn't bad, and it's not too loud. Service is fair, and mostly accurate. I had the wings tonight. I ordered 6 hot buffalo, and 6 Caribbean Jerk. The wings I received were cooked nicely, they had a beautiful crunch to them - but the sauce (served oddly "under" the wings) was very bland. There wasn't much (spicy) heat in them at all. My wife had a salad and added chicken - she absolutely loved it. I also ordered a side salad, but it never arrived. Ate there yesterday with a group of 8 people. Service and beer was good, but food not so much. I had the fish and chips, but it should have been called Fish Sticks and Soggy French Fries. Totally sucked. The other folks found thier meals edible, but not great. I was the only one with the fish and chips. I will never return to the Maineville location. Service was by one server who was efficient, and the Yeungling draft beer was good -- just never go there for the food. We ordered 12 wings for takeout this week. We arrived on time . We paid the bill, which was $18. We left and went home (about 10 minutes drive away). Once home, we opened the box and we found 10 wings that were warmish - not cold and not hot like we prefer them. We called Putters to discuss this, and were greeted by someone, who put us on hold so she could get a manager. When the manager arrived a minute later, we explained what happened and mentioned our dissapointment at the quantity we received as well as the temperature, asked how to best rectify the situation, but were offered no solutions. The manager was dismissive and told us she would inform the kitchen, they were running a 10 wings special , and maybe that's why they made a mistake. No offer was made as far as even a partial refund. I suppose we could just stop payment on the credit card ( we may still do this), but perhaps this review will help improve the service for another customer, or steer other customers to a better place. Paying $18 for ten barely warm wings is WAY TOO MUCH. We will not go back again, as there are other choices nearby. You've been warned. read more
