Seated quickly. Good service. Good food. Pleasant day to eat in open air space. Always an enjoyable meal.

This was a complete surprise to me and my family. We had a list of things we wanted to do this summer, and a waterfront meal was one of them. My mom found the place, so we made our way over there. I say this with all the love in my heart, I was expecting it to be worse. I've had meals that are more focused on the views than the food. This was not one of those places. We got seated right next to the dock, and were taken care of very quickly. We got our drinks, and ordered. Me and my father got the Buffalo Chicken sandwich, which, for the price, we expected a sad attempt at it. Oh, how wrong we were. We got two huge patties of the spicy chicken, which was flavorfully spicy. I had to eat one of the patties with a knife and fork before eating the sandwich. Needless to say, I was rolling out of there by the end of it. My mother got the fish and chips, which she said were pretty good for the price of it, and she also got a good portion of it. Waitstaff were amazing, and we were able to chit chat with her, which you don't get too often when it comes to restaurants these days. My experience last night was horrible. The one overarching theme of the entire meal experience was cigarette smoke. The stench blocked out smells of the food and made the entire experience miserable. I had gotten a drink at the bar which was a proper pour. But when I was at the table and my server brought my same drink it was about 3/4 the size of what I had previously gotten just a few minutes before. When I told the waitress the drink was much less. She said well. I guess that's just an outside bar thing. Meaning that she didn't care. She didn't go look into it. She blew it off. She made no attempt to rectify it or justify it. A waitress who doesn't care is not a waitress and needs to be doing something else in addition to that when my meal was brought to the table, The tortillas wrapped, of course in foil to keep them warm were stone cold when they got there. I asked the waitress if they're supposed to be warm and her answer was," I don't know". What good does it do to have a server who comes to check on you and make sure everything's okay and then she doesn't like anything okay. If one cannot enjoy their meal because the overwhelming stench of cigarette smoke, ruins everything and your server has a name, Alexis. I will start by saying I'm not an eat outdoors kind of person. I don't like to be hot . The first table offered was for 6 at a table for 4 in the sun while there were at least 10 larger tables open under the covering. When I objected, I was met with a little eye rolling and being passed off to someone else . After we got the seating straightened out, things went much smoother. Our server was excellent and made sure drinks were full. The food was typical bar food and the burgers were hot off the grill. Best place on Cincinnatis west side. I've had $15 checks, up to about $100. It was all good. Great view. The servers are r efficient, and not annoying with upselling, etc. I would recommend the mahi mahi but my wife would say you have to try it all, which we have. Never been disappointed! read more

I was trying to watch my son's volleyball championship and get some food. I ordered an overpriced sandwich and after buying it was told I couldn't take MY FOOD over to the volleyball court to eat. I still don't know exactly why. Both areas are owned by the same company. I was told to leave the area with the food. So have a few words of disgust, I left and ate my food in the parking lot and then returned to the volleyball court to watch the game. No one needs this kind of harassment when going out to have a bite watch a volleyball game. None of it makes sense to me. I won't be returning anytime soon. It was terrible customer service. I would never treat my customers like this. They are indeed the food Nazis. read more

Our visit was very good. Our server was amazing. She came to check on us often. She was very nice. Very helpful. The food was good. Coleslaw could be better but it wasn't terrible. Buffalo chicken sandwich was good. Got two pieces of chicken. read more

Great food, Caesar salad with shrimp kabab vodka tonic a little lite on the vodka. Service quick and on point. We had a group of 8. Seating under the shelters. Sound reverberated so much you couldn't hear two people away. But short of sound conditioning or sitting by the river I'm not sure what could be done. As many reviewers comment, this isn't the place to go for fantastic food but this is the best gathering place on the west side on a warm summer evening for a cocktail, an appetizer and a river view. Take advantage of the waitlist because evenings are always busy. The servers work hard and do their best to keep everyone happy. Everyone in our group of six enjoyed our evening and plan to return many times this summer. Our server, Katie, was the best! read more

Cabana is always a favorite for us. The food is delicious and the scenery is beautiful... only downside is if the weather is bad and you are seated on the outer deck area- it's not covered- but even then, we had a good time. read more

You don't really come here for the food, it's all about the atmosphere. The food truly is pretty good, but it's beach food for sure. Lots of fried options. I had a black and blue steak salad that was really good. There was also a buffalo chicken sandwich and fish and chips at the table and everyone was happy with their food. Atmosphere is like you are on vacation. Sitting on the water under an umbrella. Servers were friendly. Definitely recommend on a nice ( but not too hot) summer day! read more

A very casual outdoor, on the river bar and eatery. No frills with paper plates and plastic ware. Good grill options on the menu. The filet kabobs are very good for a fair price. Ate here for the first time this weekend. We ate right next to the river. I liked the live music as we walked in. I got the coconut shrimp basket and it was very good! The food, the service and ambience were the best! Love the Cabana! I always get a vacation feel when I'm there.

Salads are plentiful. Top a salad with their Filet and it is large enough for two people. The appetizer cheese sticks is plentiful -- a count of 8. The fried pickles are salty to enjoy with a cold beer. Staff were attentive but not over bearing. River view is perfect. Or you can be on covered patio and still see the river but be out of the sun. Plenty of parking. I recommend this place. read more
