Teak is in a very convenient location in the OTR, directly across the street from Washington Park. We went on a late Friday afternoon and found parking easily. When we arrived, I asked for a seat by the window and the hostess let us choose whichever table we preferred. The restaurant is cute and modern with a lot of natural light. I explained to the server that I prefer a sweeter cocktail and asked for her recommendation. She suggested the Thai Island, which sounded on the sweet side in the description, so I ordered that. I don't know if it's always this way but it was so tart I couldn't drink it, but our server brought a side of simple syrup for me to add and that did the trick. We ordered an app to share and then each got main dishes. I had the Thai style cashew chicken, which was good but not great. I do have to say that the prices were very reasonable for what we got.

Lychee Margarita. Yum!

On this night, Teak batted 1000. Everything was absolutely delicious and our server was theeeee best! I opted for the Pad See Ew noodle dish, #8 spicy and my usual spring rolls. My friend ordered the Sunday Roll and Crab Puffs. Our food was piping hot and mega enjoyable. Additionally, I love Teak's OTR location, directly across from Washington Park because scene is always lively. We had reservations immediately after dinner at a nearby spot, which happened to be only a few blocks away. The night was perfect in every way.

The food is quite mid. The place is average. Our server was friendly but didn't feel like she knew much about the menu.

My husband and I grabbed dinner at Teak when we came downtown for Blink 2024. Our server was extremely sweet and polite, and despite being extremely busy, we received our drinks and food pretty fast. For an appetizer, we shared the Crab Puffs, which were out of this world! Such great flavor, and the sauce that came with it was the perfect complement. For my entree, I ordered Pad Thai with Shrimp, and my husband ordered the Pineapple Fried Rice. Both dishes were excellent. (I, of course, had to try my husband's rice.) And, finally, the ambiance is cozy, even though it can become quite loud at times. If you enjoy Thai cuisine, I highly recommend Teak! Bon Appétit!

Delicious Pad Thai, wonderful service and great location. Will definitely return again!

Crispy duck. As you can see very crispy and tasty but no heat

First time in we enjoyed a nice cocktail and dinner. We started with the pork dim sum and I had the crispy duck. I ordered it 8 out of 10 and the waiter acted like I was crazy. The duck was very crispy but the heat was just not there I had my wife try a bite and she agreed not at all spicy. Nice service and the food was good

Small place next to OTR with a full bar, sake, fresh seafood dishes. Pictured is the seafood hot pot, enough for 2 people, and we had leftovers! Potstickers and dumpling appetizers were good. Would come back for semi casual Thai dining.

This place was buzzing when we stopped by. Sushi tasted fresh. Really good selections of drinks. My Pad Thai was OK though

Super good food with fast service and friendly staff. The food came out super fast. Entrees are big enough to share if you get some appetizers. Everything was tastey and fresh. Restaurant is light and airy. Chill vibe for casual dinning. Would come again. Lettuce wraps were great. Dim sum dumplings were fried. Wonton soup was perfect for the cold weather. We shared the pad thai and it was plenty. Sweet taste!

I visited during a business trip with a colleague who was local to the area. She recommended Teak as a great place for Thai food. She was spot on!! We stopped there for lunch. Nokki was our server and was very attentive. My colleague had the chicken with coconut milk soup along with chicken pad thai. She ended up taking most of it home. A great value at $11. I had the seafood delight which came with shrimp, salmon, imitation crab and mussels. It was also delicious. At a heat of 6 or 7, not too spicy either. There were lots of fresh vegetables which I mixed with the white rice on the side. Very satisfying. I now have a new "go to" place for lunch and dinner.

Pad Thai with chicken

I was honestly disappointed with this visit to Teak. I've been before and have enjoyed the food, but this time I ordered the same dish and I had zero flavor. Chicken pad Thai was very bland. I did enjoy the spring rolls. Would still go back, but I would order a different dish. The dining area is a bit small, which isn't bad unless it's a busy day. We happened to go when it was quite busy and sat at the bar. With folks standing around the bar waiting to be seated, it made for a cramped experience. If you're at a table on a busy day you should be fine.

They have been making Asian food since 1996. Right across the street from Washington Park (stop #14 on the free Cincinnati Bell Connector trolley). The food is yummy! I'm definitely coming back. Who would have known that I would have found a nice Thai and Japanese place in Cincinnati Ohio... really close to downtown. I took the free Cincinnati Bell connector trolley from downtown to this place 0.7 miles away or so and was very happy. They make this amazing natural ginger dressing for their ginger salad $7 (cherry tomatos, lettuce, spinach). It's pure ginger and carrots and other ingredients. It's rare that any restaurant makes this pure natural tasty ginger sauce like they do. The seafood delight $16 was tasty with their home made brown sauce and a medley of mussels, salmon pieces, imitation crab, shrimp, carrots, broccoli, onion, and I asked for extra garlic which they were kind to add. It comes with Jasmine rice so you don't pay extra for rice :-). I always get upset at other restaurants when they charge for rice bc how can you charge for rice that is not only necessary as a staple with dishes but it's not expensive. The 2 spring rolls are fried and come with 3 sauces (spicy red, mustard, and sweet and sour) and it's $5. I personally didn't like the spring rolls much bc I love the ingredients but would prefer it to be rolled in rice wraps without the deep fried skins. It would feel healthier and would taste better to me. The staff were great and the owner was gracious and kind and humble. The decor is soothing and pretty. The bathroom is clean. It's right on the same side as the Cincinnati Bell connector trolley so it's very convenient to get to. And you can hop back on before 11:30pm when it stops running Monday to Friday. It also runs on weekends but not that late. Overall great place and next time I will try the Japanese food. But will also try the Pad Thai.

Seafood Choo Chee

Teak OTR is kinda beautiful, although my view was of the bar area. The chairs are very comfortable. That said, the tables are close together. It was difficult maneuvering in and out. Our waitress was helpful with recommendations. I ordered the Seafood Choo Chee and Mark had the Thai Spicy Chicken. Out of 10, I ordered spice level 4 and Mark went for 7. The waitress seemed surprised, but Mark was steadfast. We had Spicy Fried Calamari to start. The calamari was good, but it could have been more crispy. That said, I kept thinking "crispy" was in the name, but it's not. Perhaps my crispy expectations were too high. The sauce was a good pairing. The "spicy" appeared to be hot sauce sprinkled here and there. Some bites were very spicy, others not so much. I'm not a fan of hot sauce. I don't think we'd order this again. I really wanted sashimi, but the Seafood Choo Chee kept calling me. I answered. I'm glad I did. The spice level of 4 was perfect for me. The salmon was plentiful. The tomatoes provided an outstandingly flavorful bite. The curry sauce was delicious. I enjoyed this dish. Mark liked his Thai Spicy Chicken. Spice level of 7 was not too hot for him. He mentioned the food was not as temperature hot as it should have been, which is a bit of a bummer. Still, he ate it all. I do feel like we were rushed a bit, but I think it was the result of a misunderstanding. Our waitress asked if we needed anything else. I asked for more water and she brought us to-go boxes, which we didn't need. I was interested in dessert, but we didn't ask if they had any so that's on me. My assumption is they do not have desserts because none were offered. I always seem to leave this info at the end of my review. It belongs at the beginning, but I'm too lazy to switch things around at this point. It was Saturday and our reservation was for 5:45. The place was packed. It had cleared out a bit by the time we left, which was 6:40 or so. That said, the waitress said it was going to get much, much busier later because of the FCC game. Regardless, I'd say reservations are a must. The menu is huge and we'd come back.

Ask the Community - Teak OTR

Do they take reservations? What's the typical wait for a table on a Saturday evening?

They do take reservations. Without reservation I think the wait can be up to 2 hours prime time 6-8 pm, depending on the foot traffic.

Are there any vegan options?

Yes. Thanks for asking. We have many vegan and vegetarian options on our menu.

Is this Teak location associated with the former Mt.Adams location?

It is. Can find an article here. https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.cincinnati.com/amp/5414850002

Is there half price sushi? I called to ask because it states it on the menu on page 2, but was told there is no half price sushi on the phone.

Hi Sydney. We will roll out a half price sushi promo at some point in the near future but have not yet. This was placed on the website in error and is being addressed. Thank you for pointing this out and please follow us on our Facebook page… Read more
