My husband and I visit here every 3 months, if not sooner. Friendly and attentive staff. Super hot and fresh food. Fresh cut flowers are always on each table. Quiet, clean, and relaxing atmosphere. We asked for extra onion and green onion on our Pad Thai. I order spicy level 4 and my husband orders level 8. They have extra spice seasoning on the table and a bottle of soy sauce. As a lady who always runs cold in restaurants, I've never needed to bring a sweater-- it's always a comfortable temperature regardless of how spicy I order my food. My family and I have dined here about 5 times in the last 3 months, and this is one of our favorite restaurants in NKY to fill our wide range of Asian food cravings. The restaurant is quaint, yet open, and totally family friendly. Servers are warm and courteous, even when they are slammed during peak dinner time (6:30-8). You get to choose from a Japanese and Thai menu, which contain a wide selection of equally delicious dishes, including fresh Sushi. You get 3 good restaurants in 1! Some dishes we've tried multiple times and recommended based on balanced flavors and consistency are: THAI: Spicy basil pork- has sweet scent of holy basil and abundant sauce. Our favorite to pour over rice. Papaya salad- full of flavor, but be conservative on your spice level selection ranging from 1-10. If you want "medium" spice, go with 2/3. Panang curry- you can choose your meat, but it's traditionally served with beef, which I think it's the best pairing as well. You can never go wrong with Thai curry, unless you order above your spice level ;) Pad see ew- stir fried wide rice noodles, also known as soy sauce noodles, comes with your choice of meat and veggies. Kids love it because noodles are soft and sauce is sweet. Crowd pleaser. JAPANESE: Katsu don- crispy chicken or pork cutlet drenched in sweet & salty sauce mixed with scrambled eggs and caramel used onions served over rice in a bowl. Total comfort Salmon teriyaki- great, nutritionally balanced meal with perfectly grilled salmon basted with teriyaki sauce over rice, and a side of shredded and steamed carrots and zucchini. I'm on a quest to try all Thai curry in the Northern Kentucky area and this place made the list. I ordered the red curry at a level seven spicy with chicken. It was much more spicy than I expected although I really like stuff that's fiery. It was edible and fairly flavorful. I am not a fan of the short squat containers a lot of times I'm sitting in the car going for a drive trying to eat with my husband and these containers make it very difficult. I like the tall wide ones. Overall the flavor was very good although very spicy unexpectedly and even though I'm not a fan of the to go containers I wasn't disappointed. This place is often our favorite spot to go for takeout. We always get the Green Curry with tofu and broccoli, the Massaman or Panang Curry with tofu broccoli and potato, and the Pad Thai with tofu. I usually eat the Pad Thai and the Green Curry and I will tell you, so far no place had beaten these dishes. I've been to many Thai places and so far these dishes are some of the best in the area. The Pad Thai always has a wonderful sweet taste and the curry adds on to give a savory kick. In my travels I have NEVER found a place that offered Sushi & Thai and did both well but my choice to try take out of both here was a result of the Thai menu not calling PadKiMao "Drunken Noodles" as most do which to me suggests more authenticity. The sushi menu resembles many standalone sushi places so I sampled the cincy roll and salmon sashimi. I was concerned when I got there because as it's an okay place, it could use some Reno. The service was courteous though they were not busy. The sashimi was a 9/10 for quality and cut. The roll was perfect. The texture, the size, the quality, the price. Note the price reflects the smaller size of the roll but the size allows you to eat each piece in one bite and taste all the flavors of the roll. Many places feel they need to make them bigger and the larger bite ruins the experience. Also, the eel is cooked and the rest of the roll is not. This provides a great taste profile. When asked, the server said Thai was the dominant cuisine for the restaurant so with such a good sushi experience I had pretty high hopes and was not disappointed. Spiced at 3, the pad ki mao was exactly how I like it. A previous review said portion sizes were small. I think the portion size is what it should be here.. slow down and enjoy the food!!!! It's hard to give 5-stars on a to-go order, but they definitely deserve 4. They prepared the food amazingly fast, and it was still so good and hot 15 mins later. I would like to return for the sushi, but the red curry and pad thai were really good! They didn't give silverware, and I really like a squeeze of lime on my pad thai. Flavors are well realized at Nittha Siam Kitchen. Each dish we ordered had it's own distinct flavor. Vegetables were fresh, and maintained a bit of crispness. I really enjoyed the Pad Phik Khing, with tofu as the protien. The soft tofu worked well with the crisp green beans. Pad Khing was spicy, but not overly so. We felt like the dishes we ordered at 6, 8 & 10 levels of spice were all equally spicy. It was a spice that made lips tingle, but did not set the mouth on fire. Then again, we like spicy food. Pad Piao Wan was liked by my older kids. It was purchased for then, so I did not try any. Green Curry was rich and warm. Pad Thai was the least impressive dish. It needs something to brighten it. A squeeze of lime would have sufficed. One person liked the spicy tuna roll, another thought it okay, the other did not particularly care for it. All found it to be more sweet than spicy. Worried about the cleanliness. An employee came out of the kitchen eating. She proceeded to take her food from the kitchen to behind the sushi bar. There she continue eating it. In many areas, that is a health code violation. Portions of protein were lacking. Most of the dishes were packaged so that the protien was on the top. I was excited to go here since I'm on the search for a great pad Thai. I went for lunch today and it was not the experience I would have liked. I was surprised that they offer soup and a side, which today was an egg roll, and had high hopes after trying both, but that's where it ended. The pad Thai came and was just not appetizing to look at there were burnt sections of noodles in the dish, and I don't believe, those were rice noodles. They were more like angel hair pasta. The dish had absolutely no taste, but was swimming in oil. I ordered it with tofu and most of the pieces were good somewhere so small but edible. The person that I went to lunch with also had Pad Thai and said it was not the quality that she had before. Who knows but I will not be coming back to try another time. read more

This most recent event when I came back after discovering the order was missing items, received no apology until I told them this wasn't the first time. The pad thai is consistent and very good so I might just stick to getting that from on. If you are an employee at this place, I hope you're reading here because you need to get your rice cooker checked. The Rice is both mushy and crunchy at the same time... And this is happened for us for the last few months on several different orders. This rice is used for sushi and the curry dishes. Please test your rice before you send it out to customers because it is so grainy and mushy. My only disappointment was last week when I ordered lunch to go and the woman taking my other was new and VERY difficult to understand. We've ordered takeouts so far so no idea how their customer service is. The price is affordable and food is decent. Our favorites are tom yum fried rice, pad thai, curries and cashew nuts stir fry. And this is probably the first Thai restaurant I see no broccoli in their stir fry. Sounds silly haha but I was sick of Thai restaurants getting a bit like American-Chinese one. My daughter had a state speech tournament at NKU. After a long day the kids were excited to have some Thai food. Some of the kids have never had Thai food before so we were nervous. Our party of twelve walked in and the staff was wonderful! They have a Thai menu and a Japanese menu. There were plenty of vegetarian options as we had some vegetarians. I am a student in Northern Kentucky University, and let me tell you, the food at my college is not that good. However I found this restaurant and it is amazing. I keep on visiting here and order some miso soup, crab puff, fried rice and sushi, and everything here was amazing. The only reason I am giving this place a 4 star instead of 5 is that once they did give my shrimp fried rice with the shrimp being undercooked. However I told them and they fixed it up quickly. They even let me stay in the restaurant waiting for my bus when I missed it. Such nice atmosphere, the people are very nice. Definitely must go! read more

I showed up to place my order and was informed they had no sushi for the day, which was super disappointing since that's what I wanted. Luckily I eat damn near everything so I found something else. I can handle a lot of spice, and went with a 5 since I don't know how places do it when it's my first visit. It was a lot so be careful.
