Loved the food and service. It was small, crowded and it had a cluttered, aged appearance and ambiance but I'd definitely recommend this dive for the food. Great menu variety so lots of new things to try next time. read more

Sake Bomb Sushi - Having a special dinner with my grandson! - Sushi Bars Near Me - Erlanger, Kentucky

This place has been in my list to try for a long time. First the inside is a bit crowded but I understand they're trying to fit as many tables in as possible. The staff is pretty nice. The shumai were really yummy but a bit small. The sushi is where it's at. The first is fresh and the correct size for the rice which I don't normally see in the US. The rice was also warm not cold which I appreciate. It needed a bit of seasoning but that's it. It's also a good price. read more

The lot can be difficult getting into when Dixie is backed up around rush hour. If you do make it inside, you'll be pleasantly surprised by the good service and good food. It's a smaller place but they have dividers up to make it feel slightly more intimate. Food wise I'd say the miso soup was great to start with. Out of the four sushi options we ordered my favorites were the volcano (baked in oven) and california roll! read more

Stopped by here for dinner before heading to the airport! Great place to get some food! The restaurant does have limited seating but the staff are super friendly and efficient to make sure you get seated quickly! Recommend coming here with the most 4 people because it gets tight. The food is really good! From their rolls or huge bento dinners! Comes with a lot of food. And their menu is huge to pick from. Service is really great! The vibe and atmosphere here is really nice, glad we stopped by. read more

I checked out sake bomb when I was in Atlanta. I am used to West Coast sushi which is probably the best in the US in my opinion, so this was good, but it wasn't amazing. However for the price it was very good, you don't typically see sushi prices that low so I was happy to enjoy my tuna roll, my caterpillar role in my edamame for less than $50 If I'm ever back in Atlanta I'll check them out again. read more

It's been a while since I've been a jam packed little sushi store and I was loving it. Felt like a tiny slice of New York in the middle of a Kentucky town. We had a wait, many people waiting, tons of to-go orders, but I was fine with it. We got our table, had some salmon nigiri and some rolls and they were great. I'm not sure why someone ordered ramen but they did, and that was not good. Overcooked noodles and undercooked on top like they just let it cook without stirring. I would stick to the sushi! Owner is super cool and loved the restaurant. Feel bad about the ramen comment, but it also felt bad eating it. :) read more

We eat here many times a month. It's my husband's favorite restaurant in NKY. Service is fast, food is always good and reasonable price. We love their Soon tofu and sushi. read more

Our family's go to sushi and dumpling spot! We order and Door Dash from here weekly. The food is always prepared and sent out the door quickly. I've never had an order messed up and love that you can customize the sushi online or in person. I highly recommend the California roll, Philly roll, rainbow roll, and I'm a HUGE fan of the pork dumplings! Also, just a nice little tip, they always have buy one get one, or % off different items on the menu. If you're looking for a quick meal, not expensive, and super tasty, then swing by or order out at Sake Bomb! read more

Chances of finding 1 great sushi place near you is hard...finding 2 is amazing! This place does not disappoint. Their hibachi steak was phenomenal. Little to no wait time even though they were busy. Laid back and fun all around read more

We love coming where when traveling for work. I feel transported when I step in here. The sectioned private seating is such a vibe. My first visit was early this year and we only had sushi and bingsu. We loved the variety and the sushi was fantastic. The bingsu on the other hand definitely fell short of my expectations. Second time around I tried the hot stone bowl. I loooove the crispy rice it creates at the bottom. We call this "con-con" or "pegao" in our home and every one always wants a piece from the bottom of the rice pot. Definitely recommend and we will most likely be back when we return to the area! read more

I've been ordering sushi from this spot for years so I'm not sure how I've never reviewed! Absolutely love sake bomb sushi, the sushi is made fresh to order, it's always extremely fresh even after a 30 minute car ride delivery! Their vegetable dumplings are delicious as well as their ragoons! Highly recommend this sushi spot, inside is smaller but very cute! Staff always extremely friendly! read more

Always wonderful service and food. Highly recommended. Love the hot stone bowls and every sushi roll I've tried

I first went to this place a few months ago never having tried sushi before. My dad ordered us all a sweet potato roll and... since that moment... I have now tried sushi. And there's no going back. I've been more than 10 times now, having tried many rolls. So far my favorite is the playboy roll. There's also this Korean beef bowl called the Saki Bomb Special BBQ. I've never walked in here when it wasn't packed. It's a small shop, but charming. Everyone there is nice, and the food has always been 10/10. By far the best sushi I've ever had. Easy 5 stars from me. It's tucked away so it's easy to miss. But it's so hard to leave. read more

Wow! I discovered this place and brought two people back within the next two weeks! It is fantastic! The ambiance is cool - they use rice paper dividers to separate tables, or pull them up to accomodate large groups. The food is fantastic. The sushi is good, but the korean dishes SHINE! The hot stone bowls are fantastic - I've had all three, spicy chicken, porkopolis, and Korean BBQ - and I would recommend spicy chicken above the rest. My friends got the Sake Bomb Special and it did not disappoint! The owner is frequently there with his young daughter - they have a sign with her face saying "Don't feed the candy monster!" :-) Really enjoy supporting local businesses, and will definitely be back! I do recommend probably limiting your party to 4 or less - you will probably get seated faster. They are always popular! read more

Sake Bomb is a great little Asian Restaurant/Sushi Bar in Erlanger. We've been here a few times but it had been quite a while. They have quite a lot Asian dishes but on this occasion we focused exclusively on the Sushi. Among the one's we had were the Sunday Morning (my personal favourite), fire scallop, and the firecracker among others. They are all visually appealing and absolutely delicious. The chef really took a lot of care crafting flavours into every bite. I really can't recommend their Sushi highly enough. Also I know I mentioned this in earlier reviews but the restaurant looks so magnificent and really authentic to Japanese culture. The seating is very close quarters so I must mention that as it might be off-putting to some. All in all the Sushi was excellent, the service was good, and the place looked awesome. Fantastic experience. read more

Stopped by here during our drive through Kentucky. Nice cozy little Japanese restaurant with neat decor, good food, reasonable prices, and generous portions. Place is apparently popular with the locals with constant traffic for to-go orders and young adults on dates. Only negative is we sat next to the front door and we froze every time the door opened, but at least we got to play some Go while we were waiting for the food. read more

Sake Bomb popped up on my radar after being featured in a Yelp blog as the top-rated sushi restaurant in all of Kentucky. My husband and I stopped in spontaneously for a late Saturday lunch, and had a great experience! This is your quintessential hole-in-the-wall, but we've learned that's where you often find some of the best food, and Sake Bomb definitely lives up to that promise. We were tempted by their Stone Bowl options - especially after seeing a sizzling order delivered to a neighboring table - but ultimately we just ordered a few sushi rolls to share. A majority of their menu is made up of creative sushi offerings - although they do have the more traditional nigiri and sashimi as well. We got a decent spread of some of their more popular offerings - including the Crab Rangoon roll, the Sweet Mango roll, the Phoenix roll, and the Red Fire roll. Most of these rolls (with the exception of the Red Fire) are fully cooked, so this a great spot for a sushi beginner to dip their toes into the world of raw dining. My favorite was definitely the Sweet Mango, and my husband's was the Phoenix. With extremely fair prices, and delicious food, we'll definitely return to Sake Bomb for lunch or takeout again soon! read more

Well everyone is right. This place was fantastic. Driving thru town and wanted something different than BBQ. Stepping into this place felt like I was visiting a restaurant in Korea! It's like nothing I've seen. It's quite cozy here. Not alot of seating so get there early. Had the Bulgogi for the first time in their Bento box and the serving was large and very tasty. For me at least, I had never seen so much food in the bento box. Service was great and no complaints. Now if they'd only open a location in Houston... read more

I got the chicken katsu and spicy ramen and it was all delicious. Excellent service and the atmosphere was perfect.

Went with a friend on her recommendation and I really enjoyed this experience. It is small in size but very big on ambiance, clean and cozy, appreciated the very clean restroom as well. The service was fantastic and the owner is such a wonderful man, very friendly and the conversation flowed freely. We had Tempura Shrimp/fried rice, spicy Kalbi beef/steam rice and side of Kimchi which we both thoroughly enjoyed. Flavors and presentation were excellent and the quick/friendly service all made for a wonderful dining experience. The fish in the case looked very fresh (definitely looking forward to trying some sashimi and sushi) the menu is full of great selections and we are looking forward to returning and trying many other things. read more

Food was great I ordered the firecracker roll as well as the Kentucky roll. My wife ordered the BBQ beef with fried rice and loved it. Customer services was amazing and owner was so sweet to us and gifted us something for our first born child who was about 6 weeks when we took her with us. Had a great atmosphere, wish the place was alittle bigger which I'm sure will be soon. Because it was a constant flow of people. read more

This was such a good find! It may be in a strip mall next to a laundry mat but don't let that stop you! Some of the best food we've had out in a while. Very flavorful with great service in a cozy but chic ambiance. Great beer selection as well.

First time dining in for lunch and it was really good. This place was highly recommended by friends that are frequent visitors. It's a cute little place that gives a cozy vibe and reminded me a lot like mom and pop restaurants in Japan. The Staff was really friendly and checked on us frequently. Ordered their fried wings and deep fried potstickers which both were amazing. The wings were absolutely mouthwatering. It was crunchy and flavorful. Must admit, the wings had a bit of an unexpected kick (spicy) but it was still really good. Also ordered the hot stone bi bim bop and chicken fried rice which both were really good as well. The lunch portion was so big that left overs were inevitable. Great place to check out if you're in town! read more

Excellent sushi and Ramen. A go to when we are in the area. Small cozy place with quick attentive service.

I saw this place on Door Dash and it is such a hidden gem. We ordered way too much and maybe got a bit too much sake. The screens help feel more private since the tables are closer together. The food was absolutely delicious and I wish my stomach was bigger to hold more. The staff was walking around often asking how we were and if we needed anything more. 12/10 read more
