Sunday morning roll takes the cake!
    Michelle G.

Wabi Sabi is my favorite sushi restaurant in the greater Cincinnati area. The sushi is fresh, and they have a wide variety of specialty rolls. The gyoza is our favorite appetizer, especially if you order it fried. Some of my favorite rolls are Sunday Morning, Dragon, Red Double, and Crazy Spicy Cali. They also have a wide variety of drinks to choose from. If sushi isn't your thing, you can order off of their menu.

Went to Covington last night to check out Wabi Sabi. It has a chill vibe and the sushi is probably what you're expecting. Nothing fancy and half off all rolls when you dine in. My shrimp tempura in my roll was not crispy at all and I missed the crunch. The spicy mayo tasted slightly off and I'm not sure why. The wasabi was not spicy what so ever. Not sure what happened there but could eat it straight and tasted nothing. Out of all their locations this one is probably my least favorite.

This is almost always a stop for me when I'm in town!!! Wabi Sabi never disappoints!! I usually get the fan favorite... Sunday Morning (if you are new to sushi, definitely a good one to try!) Plus they have so many menu options, I wish I lived closer so I could try them all!! We always get seated so fast, and the workers are so nice! I have never waited for than 20 mins for my food to come out, even when it's packed so I know they are all hard workers!! It is a smaller sized restaurant, but they have even more seating in the back that you can't see from the front!! This is an awesome sushi place that I definitely recommend!! I will be back next time I'm in town!!! Till then... enjoy the sushi for me!!

Stopped in to Wabi Sabi for a quick sushi date and the team delivered! It's decorated so cute for the Christmas holiday and had all the vibes going. I got the Sunday morning, crazy spicy California and the volcano roll and all of them were amazing! I also had the bartender create me a blueberry mule with the Wesson vodka and it was delicious! I love this place and you can't beat the half price sushi pricing!

Overall, one of the better dining experiences I've had in a long time. I don't usually leave reviews, but I had to give this place some serious props. It hit the spot! We sat at end of the bar so we had a view of the entire restaurant. Love the decor, the lights.... It was crowded but we got seated right away. The vibe is great... I wished we had been there when there was live music. We were clearly the oldest two people in the place. But that's fine with us! Epic service- 5 different people checked on us at different points during our meal. And they were busy. I was sitting near the take out station and they were prompt and kind to every person walking in. And everyone seemed genuinely kind and friendly. My husband left his card at the restaurant (probably because of the cocktails), and they held it until the next day and was kind when he returned. Try the volcano roll! It's a really unique- a bit more "heavy" for sushi- but yummy! I had the poke bowl and it was very fresh, tuna was fresh ... I'm kinda a stickler about tuna. I had a cocktail- it was strong, which, of course, is a win. I wish I had tried the cucumber cocktail when I was there. I heard it was amazing from the people we met at the bar. It's just a happy place...with really good food! We will be back for sure!

hands down the best sushi in covington by a long shot, and even the best sushi my partner and i have had this far from the ocean. the first time we went for sushi, we loved the sushi so much we went back two times that week. wabi sabi's food is FRESH, the best spicy crab i've ever had. you can tell the care the chefs put into their rolls. and 50% off ALL rolls dine in & 40% ALL rolls take out - you literally cannot beat that. the servers are personable and have always made us feel welcome. here's the thing though, don't just stick to the sushi. their noodle dishes are seriously incredible. the pad thai, yakisoba, and beef bulgogi are some of the best i've ever had. and if you get take out, the food stays super fresh and warm in case you need to walk it home. you HAVE to go!!!

This place is amazing, especially if you like sushi. I'm honestly not a sushi fan as I don't like seafood, but I have a very adventurous 12 year old and she thinks this place is the best. She always gets the rainbow roll and the California roll. She also loves the flying fish roe and the octopus nigiri. As for me, I'm in love with their spring rolls. The spring rolls are the perfect level of crunch and the sauce is to die for. The gyoza, pork fried dumplings, are amazing too. I've had a lot of other menu items and I've not yet chosen anything bad. I like their soup variety. Their yakisoba noodles are oh so good. The staff are friendly, shout out to Zac! The location is also super convenient and close to everything in Covington. If you are in the area, you should for sure check them out!

If you're looking for a sushi spot that doesn't just serve food but changes your life, look no further than Wabi Sabi in Covington, KY. The moment the first bite of their expertly crafted sushi touched my lips, I felt a profound shift in my soul. It wasn't just delicious--it was life-altering. The flavors were so perfectly balanced, so exquisitely fresh, they awakened something primal in me. I'll admit it: the sushi was so good, I felt an unexpected sensual energy. Yes, that good. And as I savored each bite, a deep sense of reverence washed over me. I don't know if it was the Hawaiian or the Love the Cov, but I found myself believing in something greater--like this meal was a divine sign to get my life together. I suddenly wanted to eat healthier, exercise, take vitamins, and live decades longer. Why? So I could keep coming back to Wabi Sabi for as long as possible. But the experience didn't stop at the food. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance wrapped around me like a warm hug. The lighting, the décor, the faint hum of conversation--it was pure magic. I felt like a kid on Christmas morning, wide-eyed and brimming with excitement, as if each course were a beautifully wrapped gift waiting to be opened. And then there was the service. Every staff member exuded such warmth and attentiveness, I was reminded that humanity still has good people in it. Their kindness wasn't just professional--it felt genuine. By the end of the meal, my faith in humanity had been fully restored, one perfectly timed water refill at a time. This isn't just a restaurant. It's a temple of flavor. An altar of indulgence. Wabi Sabi is more than sushi--it's salvation. Don't walk. RUN. And thank me later. P.S. I'm leaving my family and job to move closer to this place. They'll understand.

    Crab Rangoon and gyoza

I always continue to love this place. I don't get back enough but when I do, I go all out. First of all, I have found that it is easier to park in the parking garage literally adjacent to this place one block east. It's $1 an hour to park and it is so much easier than trying to find parking on Madison or side streets. We sat outside tonight out back and the weather was great. Service was also great and we ordered our usual appetizers of gyoza and crab rangoon and then followed with a ton of sushi! I love getting the drunken taco one every time. Also I very much enjoyed their Philly roll and another role that sort of had like a pureed version of tuna but I'm not sure entirely which one it was. This place continues to be a winner and prices are good for what you get. Very busy on a Friday evening even after 8:00 p.m. We didn't have to wait for a table outside though.

    Large size Ginger Salad
    Marie K.

I had a great experience at Wabi Sabi for lunch. I was in the mood to order appetizers as a meal, so I got the large size ginger salad, seaweed salad, and edamame. I was pleasantly surprised at how generous the ginger salad portion was, even for the price. Everything was reasonably priced. The food was light, refreshing, and delicious, a perfect accompaniment to a hot day. The service was friendly and prompt. There is indoor seating, as well as a back patio with both covered and uncovered sections. It is a great place to go and catch up with a friend over a meal. I am looking forward to going back again soon and trying new dishes.

Wow wow wow! That was some flavorful, delicious Chinese food -- and with a fun, funky ambiance!…read more We were seated quickly at one of 2 open tables on a rainy Thursday evening. Ordered green tea, a Jade Dynasty cocktail and pot stickers to enjoy while we perused the menu (including the picture book!). The pot stickers were delicious! More like meatballs inside, served with a I-don't-know-what-this-is-but-it's-delicious sauce. We ordered and were pretty quickly delivered our mains: How Fun noodles (level 2 spice) with chicken and Pepper Beef (level 3 spice). Both were outstanding! The sauces on both were savory and delicious. The noodles were great - not slimy like they can sometimes be but firm yet delicate. The chicken was tasty. The pepper beef was tangy and tender with a nice balance of peppers and onions. Serving sizes big enough for lunch the next day. Vibrant decor made the place really feel alive and servers were friendly and efficient. We found street parking but I assume this part of Covington gets busy on weekend nights so allow a few minutes to find a spot. Bonus tip: stop at DelGardo's down the street and get a couple cannoli for dessert. Perfect end to a delicious meal!

Star rating between 3.5 to 4 stars…read more We visited downtown Covington and were looking for dinner - we passed several restaurants but found a great rating in Google and decided to stop in here, plus the lighting and colors were bright. Restaurant was crowded but we were sat immediately. Service was good - not super attentive but we were able to order quickly. I had to ask for more water throughout the meal and then they brought checks and boxes before we asked while we were still eating. We ordered the dumplings, orange chicken and how fun noodles. They have a spicy scale of 1-10, I opted for the 5 on the how fun noodles, and they were spicy!! Made me wonder what a 10 would taste like. Dumplings were good - though the bottom broke on them while we were eating them. Definitely homemade! My daughter loved the orange chicken / it also had cucumbers which she didn't love. My noodles were okay - nothing memorable in terms of flavor and very spicy. Overall a bright, well themed restaurant but I don't think I'd go back for the food.
