This neighborhood gem has been in business for 15 years. Owned and managed by John & Helen Chao, assisted by their twins, Sophia &Winston, they put out some outstanding Asian grub, along with Sushi. Dine in, carry out or use Uber Eats and Door Dash. The Cincinnati Sushi Roll is our favorite! When we enter Bamboo House, Helen immediately brings us Dumplings and John begins to create the Cincinnati roll for us! Is you begin dining here, they will soon know what your favorites are and the dishes come to your table within minutes! Catch them on Instagram

Delicious sushi and the NICEST owners! Everything is always fresh and tasty, the service is always quick. I used to stop in all the time when I lived closer to the restaurant and found myself right down the street today while pet sitting. Stopped in for a pickup order and all these years later they remembered me and made me feel so welcome again!! Really gave me warm fuzzies and reminded me that I need to make the trip out of my way more often. Thanks Bamboo House!!!

Great place, huge lunch potions, very friendly staff. Definitely recommend and will revisit.

Good food, not great presentation with the paper plate.

This place was interesting. Small restaurant and sparsely decorated. Everything that brought out to use was disposable--plates, cups, flatware. Even the plate the sushi was served on was disposable. Not quite what you envision when you spend $55 for a night out. Service was fine. Food was good. One of the rolls was mango roll but couldn't taste or find it anywhere on the roll.

A great meal of sushi rolls and chicken teriyaki. The Bamboo House is a hidden gem on Harrison ave near 74@Rybolt Rd exit. Not sure what any negative service reviews were about as we were greeted quickly and with a smile. They helped with ordering and explaining menu dishes. We had a great time. Sushi rolls are 30% off during evening happy hour. We'll be back, highly recommended!!

Absolutely a hidden gem. Small but a great meal. We carry out because the seating is limited.

I will be going out of my way to get it again sometime. We grabbed takeout to eat at the park. My husband got pineapple fried rice (3/10 spice). He said it was superrrr hot and not good enough to get again. My friend got the amazing sweet potato roll and a spicy salmon roll. I got a salmon pistachio roll and ton kha gai soup. The salmon rolls were so bland (and oddly the soy sauce packs and spicy mayo were too) that I started questioning my taste buds and if something was wrong.

I've been wanting to try this place for a year now but I've never been in the mood for it when I'm…read morein the area. But today was the day. It was a cold day and I knew a nice hot pho would hit the spot! I dined in alone. Very small restaurant with 7 or so tables. The atmosphere was very quaint and peaceful but it was soon disrupted by several delivery and Togo orders walking in and out, and standing/waiting in the small space. It definitely seemed like they were priority over diners. It took a very long time to receive my food after ordering. The restaurant was empty when I came in and one family had come in a good while after me, ordered and received appetizers long before I got my dish. My pho came and the temperature was between warm and hot. Pho should come out almost (if not) steaming. As a result, the noodles had all clumped together.... I really needed it hot because I was freezing, literally the thing that urged me to come in before going home. I would have asked them to reheat it but then the noodles would be completely gross and I didn't want to risk waiting another half hour or so to remake it. I ordered spice level 4... surprisingly it was a little too much for my liking. I'm used to pho being spiced by jalapeños and they used a seasoning that gave a different kind of heat. I prefer the jalapeño. I would have overlooked these things and definitely was going to give them another try during a lunch hour, but that hauled when I received my bill. I was charged $2 more than what the phone with beef was listed on the menu. Few things irk me more than when places aren't transparent with their prices, straight out overcharging than advertised. Only if they'd make this right I'd give them another chance.

I returned to Quebec Gardens after nearly 40 years…read more The food is excellent. The prices are in line. Alas, renovations have removed the charm quite a bit. Plain walls, Faux News on the TV. No music. Just tables and chairs. The food was fast and hot. Service was excellent. We'll likely return. We always try to support local family run places as much as possible.

My wife and I ate there yesterday evening,07/10/2026, a little after 6:00 pm. The reviews I read…read moresounded pretty good. We were the only two customers in the restaurant. They did have one or two carry out orders. The Fried wonton appetizer was excellent, The rest of the food was good, not great. My wife's noodles with shrimp was good. But my szeschuan scallops were only OK, but not great. The price was very good and the service was as well. But with no other customers, I would expect good service. We had plenty of food and both took home 1/2 of the meal. They do not serve alcohol, and that may be an issue for some. There were several televisions on with one having the volume up loud enough for us to hear. It was tuned to a news station. Neither of us care to have a television on when eating. It is unfortunate that the neighborhood has deteriorated over the years. That may hurt them. There was a group of us, friends, that used to eat there around 30 to 40 years ago when they had huge crowds of customers. Not so now. The building is in need of a major do over. I do not know how long the restaurant was closed, and the building shows the lack of attention. The 3 star rating is due to the condition of the building and parking lot. The food was easily a 4 star. All in all it was a good meal and served relatively quickly.
