Loved the concept for my kid. He was so enamored with it all. The robots delivering drinks, train or trucks delivering food and the converter belt oh my. This was our first time experiencing this magic. I will say the food was hit or miss. Some of it was good but some was sub par. The service from staff was very nice. We went overboard with all the options and spent $90 for 2 adults and a child. But we sure had an interesting evening. read more

I visited a revolving sushi restaurant in Chicago and was thrilled to get one in our area. The robots that deliver drinks in the train that delivers the food always gives me a good giggle. I love the variety and the ease of trying so many different items, but be careful because it can add up quickly. If you see something on the conveyor that you want to try, Simply grab it and the server will total the number of plates you have at the end. You can also order items directly from the kiosk. This is always a great place to com! The sushi is always fresh tasting and the selection is always great. If you don't see what you want in the conveyor there's also an a-la-cart menu. The staff always greets us warmly and keeps the used plates clear better than any other buffet I've ever been to. This is a great place for families, a date night or even solo. read more

I'm always sad about not having a revolving sushi restaurant in my own city, so I love to venture out and find one in other places! I saw Kawa on Tiktok, and was immediately drawn in by how cute it looked! This has probably been one of the best sushi train spots I've experienced based on food, efficiency and service. Everything was so easy to order on the little tablet at our table, there were tons of options, and it came out pretty quick! There was also a good variety on the belt itself. My favorite part about Kawa is how they would deliver orders from a train that would come in on the belt... And of course, the robot servers! This is definitely a place to not just have a meal, but an experience along with it. This will be one of the first places on my mind the next time I'm in Cincinnati. read more

This place is absolutely awesome! It's super modern, incredibly clean, and overall very welcoming! I was hesitant about what it would be like at first because I had never been to a revolving sushi restaurant before, but we started ordering and grabbing sushi as soon as we sat down! The staff were so friendly and brought our drinks out super fast after ordering on the screen at our table, and were quick to refill. We ordered a few appetizers as well, but we realized we could've just waited until it came around on the belt, but it was fun to see the train deliver things straight to our table! There is also a robot delivering food to tables as well. The food was fresh, delicious, and there were LOTS of options to choose from on both the belt as well as things to order. We tried all kinds of different sushi rolls and salads. I think it's a great place to come try new things to see what you like since the portions are small; you can always grab it again or pass when it comes around again. It's clear that the staff are always adding stuff to the belt so everybody gets a chance to grab what they like. I totally recommend anyone who likes sushi to give Kawa a visit. In love with this place! It's such a cool concept. My boyfriend is the most impatient person ever! This is perfect because we can get it, get seated (as long as you arrive before 6pm on weekends) and immediately chow down. It's nice because you can sample different rolls and not be stuck with one or two larger rolls . And we love finishing off our meal with the little cream puffs. We probably come here twice a month. Great experience! A lot of the sushi options were fantastic and fresh. I will say, I have been to other restaurants where the selection of sushi options was larger with more variety, but the options that kawa does make are consistently very tasty. The staff and chef were very friendly and went out of their way to make us a special sushi we liked that ran out and wasn't yet on the menu. Also options to order food that aren't on the revolver. This place is fun and different, however it is sensory overload. It's loud and a little chaotic but with a conveyor belt and robots delivering food, it's to be expected and part of it's charm. The robots delivering some of your sides is interesting and kinda cool to see. However, sometimes they got stuck passing each other and created a roadblock. The conveyor belt is always a fun touch to a sushi restaurant! My only downside with it was that some dishes were room temperature when they would have been slightly chilled if I had ordered them from the kitchen. I would have preferred my dessert and some sushi rolls slightly cooler. You do get your meal for a decent price! My friend and I were pleasantly surprised at our bill when it arrived. I'd recommend stopping by for a slightly different take on your sushi night. read more

Loved loved loved!! The onigiri and special rolls that had fresh fish were great! I couldn't wait to start digging in. They charge per plate, about 3.50. You keep the lids to the plates so they can tally up how much your bill is at the end. You can order food via the iPad at your table or wait for the sushi to revolve around on the conveyor belt -- both options are great, though I thought it was fun to watch the conveyor belt for new rolls I wanted to try. :D The restaurant was super clean and I loved all the decor. We sat down and our server was super cheerful and welcoming. She made sure to ask if it was our first time or not (which it wasn't lol), when she knew we were OK she let us be free to begin the experience! Plate after plate came by, and with each plate, our excitement grew! Almost everything I ate was so well put together and very flavorful. There were a few things I didn't enjoy: 1) The eel roll- was a bit slimy, I am a fan of eel but for some reason the texture of that one was not favorable for my liking. 2) The sesame balls- texture was spot on, but the flavor was extremely lacking. They genuinely either didn't have flavor or because I had already tasted so many bold flavors; they just failed to rise to same level. 3) The shrimp nigiri- again this was so bland and the shrimp felt a bit lacking in any form of flavor. The rice underneath was just as dry and bland as the shrimp on top. Wouldn't recommend. At some point, we noticed that the restaurant began to fill up very rapidly, which was good to see, but also noticeably difficult for the staff to keep tabs and attention on everything. Our server definitely did her best and was so gracious even with the rising numbers (cheers Callie!). We had our fun, ate our fill, and enjoyed our time! If you love new experiences and solid sushi, this worth the try. *DISCLAIMER: Don't go into the fried Oreos thinking that they will be like the fair. It was a super neat place and can get expensive for what you get. I got 16 plates and it's less than 3.00 a plate. I was full as I tried different kinds of sushi. If you order from the menu it will arrive via train and drinks and the ramen will come by the robot. It's a neat place to eat. Service was excellent as the explained how everything works and to keep your lid for them to tally up your bill. The food is what you somewhat expect. Not a high end sushi shop but better than the Chinese buffet sushi. Items that were sashimi, the rice fell apart when dipping the fish in the soy sauce. Not a big deal but it gets a little messy and that is the 1 less star. I would go back since I cannot get what I get here without buying a roll and the variation of the different types of sushi. read more

Fun, different and the sushi offerings are good. Since everything is automated service is accomplished with just a couple of people. They were very attentive. We came shortly after their grand opening and we had high hopes as we have enjoyed the Kura place in Columbus that has a similar vibe. This place is different of course but they are definitely trying to keep that certain vibe going! You can either pick up stuff off the conveyor belt or you can order on the tablets at the table and it will come out in these varying designs of trains. Really cool! One time we came between lunch and dinner and the sushi did not taste great. Probably because we were between the rush and some of the stuff had been out for a while. But we came during dinner another time and everything tasted great. I feel like the price is good for what you get. I used to go to a revolving sushi place back on the West Coast a lot 10 years ago and even though prices are higher, so is everything else. Definitely a good meal and a lot of fun! All the maid to order stuff is pretty good as well including the desserts. Service is always top-notch as everyone wants to refill your water and make sure you are well taken care of. read more

A fun dining experience with pretty good sushi! Really enjoyed that the servers explained the concept completely. Also liked that everything is covered with a plastic dome so you know it's hygienic. You have to place at least one menu item order just to get the sushi delivery experience. Just know it could get expensive if you opt to order whole rolls, but overall economical. FINALLY got to give this place a try. Initially for me, I won't lie it felt intimidating however once you are seated the staff does an incredible job explaining everything and how to actually order. The overall aesthetic of the place is beautiful and it might be the most clean place I've eaten in this area haha Once you do get seated, you have the option of ordering from their digital kiosk at the table OR the conveyor belt offers sushi rolls and other assorted items that come past your table. Each plate of sushi has 3 or 4 rolls, but all plates on the conveyor are $3.50 each. Overall it's priced really well and the experience alone is great for a dinner with a friend or perfect for a date night! Definitely would recommend and will be back. read more

Fast service, they knew I needed something before I did(extra fork for cheesecake, soda refill). My partner had the revolving sushi bar while I had ramen, this place can be a bit noisy but that's because it's such a cool experience how could you not be boasting?
