I was staying in Fort Mitchell when I was in town to run the Flying Pig Marathon. It was off of the Dixie 25 highway, just south of I-71. I stopped in here to buy some salty snacks and a gallon of water. The store was clean, well organized, and well maintained. I was able to find what I was looking for with ease. They had some good deals, but only if you've signed up for their free membership. I could've saved $3 per bag of chips. However, I was too tired and lazy after my flight in, so I opted to pay the full retail price. It was easy and very convenient to pay for my items while using one of the self-checkout kiosks. read more

Let me start off by saying this is my main grocery store. Not only because I live close by, because when I lived down toward Covington, I still drove up to this location. I'm now in Villa Hills and I could go to Erlanger, but I still prefer Fort Mitchell. The store is always clean. The ambience is great, and most of the time I get great customer service. From the deli, to the "butcher" I am treated as a friend. I'm sure people have bad days (as we all do) but I've not experienced any lack of friendliness on those days. THAT is more important than most people realize especially with the grocery store since it' is somewhere you visit at least once a week, at least for myself. I decided to write today because instead of doing pick up as I've been doing 80% of the time since they've started it, I went in to do my shopping. I like self check out, but when I have a lot of groceries, I do prefer to be rung up and bagged because it is a lot of work. I was setting my stuff up onto the belt and at the same time I happen to have a tube of jelly in my hand. I saw something dripping onto the floor and assumed it was jelly, cut to the end, it was not... I was bleeding. I had apparently cut myself on one of the wrappers or bags and it was a pretty heavy bleed. Zach, who's always a pleasure during checkout, asked his bagger, Baldwin to go and get me a Band-Aid. Zach was on top of making me feel comfortable and telling me it was no big deal, making sure I was taken care of. Getting me paper towels and still ringing up my groceries in a timely fashion. Baldwin (who was also very helpful) showed back up with a Band-Aid and it was as if it never happened. I can't say I'm surprised because, especially with Zach, I always feel comfortable and at times I can be a bit anxious because if I'm in the store on a workday, I'm trying to take business calls at the same time as being in the grocery store and if he notices that he always is super attentive and it actually brings my anxiety down a notch! I wanted to write this review to give the store as a whole an A, but also to give Zach an A+! I just wanted to be sure to give this location the recognition they deserve AS WELL AS pointing out the consistent, GREAT service I always get with Zach. Thank you Zach, & Baldwin! You made an uneasy situation almost like it never happened, so thank you. To the managers; Keep up the great work, without great leadership the employees would not be prone to always want to be so friendly and so helpful, while being happy to help! It does NOT go unnoticed. Also, I usually always find all the products on my list in stock and the store is always clean and organized. Needless to say, I will be back! I've been regularly visiting this Kroger for 2 years now. In all honesty, this is a fairly decent Kroger. It is usually well stocked with plenty of gluten free items. The associates are usually helpful but typically have to be approached (there is no greeter and even if a teammate sees/hears you make a comment about not finding something, they won't initiate customer support unless asked). Compared to other stores (such as the Kroger on Warsaw or Vine St in Cincinnati), this Kroger feels fairly safe for an open store and is in a decent location. The pharmacy here is hit or miss. Do NOT attempt to use the drive-thru as it is slow and often times they will ask you to come inside anyway. This really sucks for me on my really bad medical days. Only one lane is ever open and a lot of times traffic coming in on that side gets congested, especially with the school and gas station right there. This is a bit of a safety hazard and should seriously be redesigned. Pharmacy service is typically okay, but is seriously lacking when compared to the Newport Pavillon location. Additionally, all Krogers recently stopped working with multiple insurance providers which has made my family and I switch pharmacies. I'm giving this store 4 stores because it is a good store overall, especially compared with some of the others in the area the Greater Cincinnati region. read more

This Kroger location is very easy to find, right of the freeway. Plenty of parking and they're barbecuing baby back ribs and corn outside the entrance... yum! Visiting Cincinnati, we came to check out the WEBN fireworks that will be on Sunday at the river. Driving around town, I see these giant yellow rubber duckies all over the place. Come to find out there is a giant rubber ducky race down the Ohio river. Over 200,000 yellow rubber duckies will be floating down the river for a chance too win a Honda HRV and a chance at a million dollars! Cool, I'm in! Only Kroger stores sells tickets to have duckies in the race. $5 for 1 duck or $25 for 6 ducks! We got a dozen ducks! All proceeds benefit the Freestore Foodbank! Great!!! It's really easy to register your duck. We called the number on our ticket and Rep took care of everything in minutes! I hope we win! All the staff wears the promotional t-shirts for the river ducky race! read more

I do not visit this Kroger on a regular basis. My boyfriend and I were planning on cooking seafood, so we came mostly for their seafood department and to pick up a few other things. James, helped us with our selections and was incredibly helpful. We wanted our scallops slightly seasoned and he recommend we try a small amount of Old Bay. We also got crab legs. The store was clean. The shelves were well stocked and we were able to get everything on our list. read more

Listen... I came all of the way out of my way to come and leave this review. The bakery is absolutely phenomenal. I just bought some kind of big cherry chocolate cake. And my god, we put some redi whip on a slice and the gates of heaven opened upon the clouds and love and light shined down on me like god just touched the inside of my face. I can't comment on the rest of the store but for the sake of the bakery it's a 5. Whoever is making those cakes is definitely up there with my gram. Bless that woman's heart. read more

This review is a shout out to the Kroger pharmacy team who have been a great resource in the pandemic! Anytime I've needed to get a prescription their line has markers which keep everyone spread out. The staff are always super friendly, and generally (not always) the line moves pretty efficiently. This week, I got my flu shot at the pharmacy (free!). When I came to the pharmacy for the shot, I was directed to wait in a chair by the side. After a few minutes, a gentleman from the pharmacy, directed me back into the office. It was small, and there were a couple workers inside on computers but everyone was wearing a mask. There, I got my painless flu shot and was on my way! The pharmacy was SLAMMED, but they seemed to be handling it pretty well! Thanks for keeping everyone healthy, y'all! read more

WARNING!! Avoid this pharmacy! Drive thru (newly re-done with 2 lanes?) is NEVER open for weeks now. Line for pharmacy begins at or near store entrance. Allow 40 minutes to stand in line. I've gone early morning and right before closing. Same scenario. The last thing you want to do when you or a loved one is sick is to stand in an excessive line WITH them because a drive thru is not available. If you're picking up a maintenance medicine, you run the risk of contracting something from others in the line. Mask or not. I'm unsure why Kroger G.O. isn't transferring other pharmacy techs to help with this location until they can be adequately staffed. Seems like they would be concerned about the health risks posed to their clients in this age of Covid? read more

Ridiculous! I attempted to transfer a prescription from another pharmacy. Carly was as rude a person as I have ever met. After they barely acknowledged me, I waited over 20 minutes.. There was no one in line to drop off in front of me. There must have been 8 people working. When the started to collect my info, it was like I was a bother to them. To the point I took my insurance card and left my basket of items and went to CVS. They were as nice as possible to me. Chris was eager to help and polite and very helpful. #neverkroger read more

Why does the pharmacy keep closing the window when it's 2 p.m., it's so unprofessional to have multiple cars in the line and then proceed to have one of your employees stand at the end of the line and block anyone else from coming through. It doesn't matter how many employees you have there's no reason for the pharmacy to let some people do certain things and other people don't have the same privilege and when they do have THE ONE line open one day a week after spending months building a second one that never gets used or is open, they let people skip the whole line and go in the closed line. When I called and asked why they allowed this they said "it's for people coming back to get their medication cause it wasn't ready the first time" and that's exactly what happened to me yet I wasn't told to go in the closed line. So it was an obvious lie. After I called they stopped sending the medication through the shoot and made the person in the open line pass it to the person in the closed line. My boyfriend hasn't been able to get his cholesterol medicine for 3 days now, because everyday the window is closed and the line in the store is going out of the building he can barely walk because of his blood circulation being effected from not taking his medicine and now he has to go stand in the line inside at 3pm for 40 mins cause they let 20 cars through and then decided to send the employee out to block the line from getting any new cars It makes no sense why the pharmacy employees just get to make up the window times as they go and when it's convenient for them, Or why they have such disgusting attitudes when confronted for behavior they KNOW they shouldn't be allowing. It is the worst pharmacy in the tri state area we will be switching to Walgreens, but I'd expect a lot better service from Kroger and have been extremely disappointed, I would not recommend this pharmacy to my worst enemy. read more

My wife bought a piece of meat in the meat department and ask the butcher behind the counter to slice it for her. The butcher said he couldn't because of some Union rule "WTF" Who cares about the damn union when your buying food for dinner. Poor excuse..poor service. I myself always try to avoid Kroger. The grocery department at this location is extremely inconsistent. I find a product I love and the next time I am in the store they no longer carry it. The pharmacy is BAD! I call in prescriptions, they say they should be ready by 3pm. I didn't go in till the next morning and they told me they were still working on it. The line in the drive thru is always long. My family also gets our pet medications filled here but they often times don't actually fill the prescription when we call it in. I now only use this pharmacy as a last resort. read more

TLDR: nice location, overall friendly staff, fresh food and deli, but definitely come during the week and have backup options ready. This has been my neighborhood Kroger my whole life, and I love how easy to find it is. Not only is it right off the highway, but the entrance and traffic flow in that area is not bad at all, given the amount of places around the Kroger. Although I love this place, it has a few flaws. One, parking. The lot is bigger than it used to be, but given the amount of people in Northern Kentucky that come here, especially on the weekends, you might be parking a long way away. Next, re-stocking. If you go during the week, you are likely to find what you need pretty quickly and have it be there. However, on the weekend, I always come prepared with a backup option or two in case they don't have what I regularly get. Lastly, sometimes it can be quite as a young adult. The staff is helpful and super friendly -- definitely lives up to the phrase "your neighborhood Kroger" However, I will admit it has been difficult at times a as a young adult in this Kroger. Multiple times I feel like I haven't been taking seriously ordering my meats. I've been doing my own grocery shopping since I was 16, and find it almost offensive when I have the person at the counter feel the need to explain everything to me in simplified terms and double check everything. Of course, it is all in good heart, but can be quite frustrating when you know what you want and are trying to get in and get out. Nonetheless, the deli and meat counter is always fresh. read more

Showing up at Kroger's for a necessary ingredients just to find out they don't actually close at midnight like the website site says -- They close at eleven. Perhaps we get all the losers sitting on the side of the building waiting for bus a scholarship instead of cigarettes. read more

This store is pretty good. The checkout lines are always long, which is really annoying, especially when I'm hauling two small children around. It gets old fast. Honestly, the Starbucks is hit or miss, but when you're desparate for caffinene, it works. read more

For a non-marketplace Kroger, this place is fantastic! Aside from the parking lot being a complete catastrophe, I have no complaints about this Kroger. It is well-lit, clean, and the staff is actually pretty nice and helpful. The deli area has so much variety that I have never seen at another Kroger before (especially not the one closer to my apartment): sushi, hot foods, an olive bar, samples of fresh-cooked food and Starbucks coffee, a large variety of pre-made/pre-marinated meat dishes to take home and plop in your oven... it was absolutely surprising to see! I originally went in to get milk and chicken on my way home from work... and walked out with those items... as well as sushi, a loaf of fresh-baked sourdough, and a rotisserie chicken. Whoops! If this kroger was closer to me, I'd make this "my" supermarket. read more

This is a completely remodeled, renovated location. Very nice place, has good sushi, cheese, olive bar, great bakery. Very decent pricing and great selection for a grocery store in the area. It will be my new regular grocery spot. Only downside to this location is the parking. There was very little room to expand the store, let alone expand the parking. Especially since the store just opened the parking situation was pretty tight. The workers even have to park at a different store and get transported to work. Hopefully the parking won't be so crazy after the grand opening. read more

Ft. Mitchell Kroger has to be the worst pharmacy in the Northern Kentucky area. Slow service, long slow lines inside and at the drive in window. Requests for refills ignored and often don't answer the phone. Stay away from this one . read more

Fantastic Kroger that was completely rebuilt as a "Market place-lite" a few years ago. This store has most everything a grocery shopper could need or want; Starbuck's coffee bar, sushi, Murray's cheese, organic produce section, full deli, bakery, prepared meals by in house chefs, fried chicken, meat & seafood counters, large crunchy section, a decent international food section, a finely appointed housewares section, bank, pharmacy, and little clinic. The staff is always friendly and super helpful should you have any trouble finding anything. What I like most is the site layout is very efficient and intuitive. I never find myself searching for something because it's been moved or it's located in a place that it shouldn't be. I wish they had a better Latin food section that included dried chili's and herbs. The parking lot can be rather congested during peak hours and I suspect that the store's proximity to the highway contributes to it's higher than normal had prices. All in all this is a go to Kroger for anyone living in northern Kenton County. read more

I ordered delivery thru InstaCart. When the man delivered he acted skiddish and wasn't talkative. He wore a security guard jacket but I didn't get a chance to see what city. I'm thinking Mt. Healthy. His name was Rashad L. I checked my receipt after he pulled away and he stole $173 worth of merchandise on my credit card. He even picked up a set of pots and pans and charged me for it. Be VERY careful when getting delieveries from Instacart. I have contacted them over and over and contacted Kroger store. They both blame it on each other stating they are contractors and not responsible for what the delivery person does. I contacted Kroger corporate office and no one even bothered to return my call. I am done with Kroger. I've even moved all of my rx's. It may not seem like a lot to Kroger, but it made me feel better. It also does not mean much to Kroger that this man stole $173 from me but it does mean a lot to me. I'm on a fixed income and was not prepared for the loss. But apparently, it doesn't matter to anyone involved. I hope that delivery guy rots in hell and I hope more people take their business elsewhere. read more

The employees in this store are the worst I have ever encountered. They are consistently rude and uncaring. On two occasions, the cashier has coughed into her hand while checking me out, getting ready to touch my groceries. This is not something I take lightly. Having someone basically spit on the food I am getting ready to take home and prepare for my family is disgusting. On one occasion Portia did this, I stopped her after she coughed into her hand before touching my groceries, I quietly asked her to use the hand sanitizer that was sitting by her register and she proceeded to tell me if I thought that was bad, I should see how the food is handled back in the stock room. I swept all my groceries off her section, put them back in my cart and went to another cashier. Customers, beware of cashiers spreading their filthy germs all over. read more

Kroger used to be hands down the best grocery store around. Not anymore! They must pay their people so poorly they have difficulty getting good help. The staff is so busy talking to each other, the cashier isn't even paying attention. The attendants getting the carts can't seem to keep their pants up and are loud and obnoxious. There used to be people in produce that were accessible to get help. Everything is pre-packaged. What happened? To boot, now it seems more and more difficult to buy the name brands of many goods you once did. Instead, they've been replaced by the many Kroger brands like Private Selection, Heritage Farm, and others. It was once great. Seems like they've really gone down hill... read more

Regarding the pharmacy - let's start with the people ... they are rude and incompetent but hey, it's Kroger so you'd pretty much expect that. I called in a refill on Friday 8 a.m. and was told to pick it up after 2 p.m. Saturday. Stopped by 4 p.m. Sunday and it wasn't ready. They told me "it isn't ready because we didn't know when you would pick it up". Really? 54 hours after it's ordered, it's not ready. I came here to pick up some balloons and orange juice. This Kroger is big and the workers are very helpful. The girl working the balloon counter was very friendly and helpful and even put the balloons in a bag for me. I love Kroger and this newer location is always clean and organized. read more

This Kroger is very nice. It has a very wide selection of produce and product. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Recently, I was looking for bean spouts and could not find them. The young man who was stocking the product section told that they were not carrying them right now because of some production problem. He even gave me suggestions on where I might be able to find them. Good service will keep me coming back. read more

This has been my neighborhood Kroger for less than a year. The natural and organic section really is spectacular. The deli department and seafood/meats department are always smiling and nice. The staff here is just amazing. And you know they have to be tired -- the parking lot is always full all hours of the day and night. Even though it is busy, the staff is just always on top of their game, cashiers and baggers included. Kudos to the management team here. If anything changes, I'll let you know. But I'm going to keep visiting. read more

Grand Opening and what an opening it was. Thursday morning my friend Angela and I woke up an hour early to go to the opening. It was packed as we thought but what a beauty! Fruits in so many colors and varieties it was like being at Disneyland. Big Jars of raw honey with the honeycomb inside. Fresh seafood is what really got me ... most anything you could want, even octopus. We ate an entire breakfast on samples alone, one of which was a chef making grilled duck. Everyone was very helpful especially an executive chef names Adam who went above and beyond to explain the specials of the Bistro they have. It's 5.99 for lunch and 7.99 for Dinner with such items as meatloaf, mashed potatoes, Brussels sprouts, oven roasted turkey, mac and cheese and more. He gave us the lay of the land of the bakery also and the "sweets" corner with the CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN! They will dip anything too! There was also a member of the staff that went above and beyond to see if they carried my beloved crumpets. Not yet but they will. Murray's cheese bar is fantastic. I picked up olives and Jarlsberg to make a most fantastic grilled cheese sandwich. Boarshead has a strong presence in the market too with their own sandwich shop even. I have already been to this Kroger about 5 times and although you will pay a little more than say Walmart ..the QUALITY is way worth it. Great job Kroger! read more

This is the closest Kroger with a 24 hr pharmacy. Earning Kroger points on prescriptions at 2 am? My kind of flexibility!

Definitely a fan of this store!! Been shopping here my entire life and will continue to (unless Meijer has an unbeatable ad that week). They serve Boarshead lunch meat, which many Kroger stores seem to not carry. I find the produce to be fresh for the most part. You will find rotten stuff in every produce, especially Meijer at night time. They do seem to be out of a few odds and ends consistently store-wide, but for the most part I love this store!! Prices are better than the store closest to me (Remke) and they have good produce and meat. That's all I need. Cons: The store is VERY old and needs to be remodeled. Aisles are narrow and hate pushing the shopping cart up hill. read more

This is the best store around for grocery shopping. We love the wide selection of cheeses, organic section, great produce. I don't feel the need to go to Jungle Jim's nearly as much. And the prices are still reasonable. Glad we found it so soon after moving here! read more
