HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Had appt.for oil change & tire rotation. On arrival waited 15 min. No one was at check in desk. A service lady arrived and yelled something in coherent. I asked if she was speaking to me, and if so, I didn't understand what she shouted. Checked in and immediately informed there no oil filter for my car. I requested and she refused to call another Walmart store to locate one. I was told to go to Auto Zone, buy it, bring it in sometime and then they would & to do the oil change. This is THE worst Walmart I have ever stepped foot in. Whatever you do, don't be suckered into getting the in-home delivery! I paid for the full service, and it has not been available to be since September 2025. Almost a year! I have been having to pay tips for every delivery. I need the service because I can't carry things like I used to. But paying for a service I can't even use is unacceptable! I have complained MULTIPLE times, and absolutely NOTHING has been done about it. No refunds, nothing fixed at all. This may be the worst Walmart in the USA. The customer service is nonexistent. It's actually offensive to any customer service industry how pathetic it is. I've went there three times to by fabric and each time I've waited at least 30 minutes to have someone cut a piece of fabric. After countless times asking employees to help and be told "I'll send someone over" and no one ever comes. They then over charged me $10 for a piece of fabric I personally measured myself to three yard. Stay away from this Walmart. Entire staff showed complete neglect towards the store. Waited 30 minutes for them to open locked products with no assistance provided. The only person who actually wanted to help was the greeter. I had just walked into Walmart at 10:45. I was looking for something I needed. I found it, and need to get help from a store worker took me a while to find anyone and when I did the woman rudely yelled at us saying they have been closed for 20 minutes. And at that time it was 11:04 clearly not 20 minutes past them closing. So I left angered because I knew they were about to close so I was trying to be quick. I came here looking for garden light- no luck for me, I guess they don't have that in this store anymore. While I was in the store I checked their plants if I can get a good deal, to my disappointment they still have a lot, but they seemed like they are in their death bed, and still full priced. They have knockout roses, but I doubt if it will survive once I replant it. So off I go to the produce looking for mango, yes they ha e it and it's priced reasonably .50 cents each, so of course I have to buy a lot! This mango is .99 cents each at Kroger. Since I am on that area I have a craving for sea food, and was very happy to see that WM even have out a sign that says "products of USA." Not true, please check majority of the products you buy to see where it's coming from. It's better to pay higher price rather than something that you don't know how it was raised or caught. Walmart. I try to avoid this place like the plague. The two times I've stopped in here this year I've noticed trying to find help is a challenge. Not necessarily Walmart's problem but the clientele is the worst. A bunch of people shopping here that are not to courteous of one another. Some of these people seem like they simply given up on life. That's the nice way to put it. I'd imagine if amazon had a brick and motor store you'd see the same thing. If I had a choice of this Walmart or the one in Florence I'd prefer Florence. Ft Wright location smells like you just walked into a giant fart. (Tire Center) So tonight when going to my step sons football game we get an unexpected FAST leak in the tire. We got to tire discounters and they are extremely busy and can't get to us. We go right next door to Walmart in Ft. Wright KY Walmart tire center at 6:30pm. These guys wont help bc they've already changed their clothes and they are closing. Not sure if anyone has experienced the same but this woman should be glad I didn't press charges for assault of a minor, harassment, false accusations and recording without consent, went to Walmart with my daughter, mind you this woman has been following us around the whole store for about 15 minutes, we got to the food aisle and my daughter picked up a water but then set it back down, she then walks up to us and immediately starts cussing out me and my daughter, (my daughter is 11) and called my daughter a bitch, absolutely inappropriate and I did ask her to leave us alone and walked away, she still followed us and demanded us to leave, then told my daughter to get a job? How damn rude is that, right in front of me!? Absolutely horrible experience and I am very upset, she recorded my daughter picking up the water bottle but ended it before she set it back down, she showed me the video and I hurried up, and took the video down, there should be a no phone policy or more workers watching how customers treat others. Every time I order for pick up at this place I wait in the car anywhere from 20 minutes to over an HOUR . The. I get home and 3-5 items are usually missing . . After a few picks ups from here I have decided I'm just going to go to Kroger which is right down the road from me as well . The customer service is terrible , while waiting in my car for over an hour I tried calling the store three times with no answer , I asked an associate for help , then waited another 20 minutes before someone finally answered the phone . This is NOT how you run a business . Management needs help over there or maybe it's time to clean house. Haven't been impressed with this store for a long time, dirty, unorganized, understaffed ect ect. Recently i have watched some mice running up the frozen food isle. Same day, at the deli I watched the lady behind the counter skip actual customers to help an associate. That same associate then ordered the rest of the chicken two people in front of me were waiting for. This happened after 7pm when the hot deli items are marked to half price. The people who had been waiting asked if she could cook more, the woman said they don't cook after 7 pm. Something seems wrong here. Today I ordered an in store pick up on line. On my way home I stopped to see if it was ready. I am greeted with "it takes 4 hours". No where does it say it takes 4 hrs. I said i would go get the items & bring them back, since they are paid for. "You have to wait 4 hrs" One item I ordered on line that I thought might sell out, but was in stock when I ordered, well I got to the store they said it was out of stock (the reason why I ordered on line 2.5 before) and as I stand at the pick up area on line says it is in stock. Frustrating to say the least. At this point I am frustrated, but not cursing or yelling, Sylvia (hispanic woman working in online pick up area on 5/15//18)told me I didn't have to be rude and she called for a manager. Then she goes over to a coworker to call me an asshole. I just wanted my money back and they weren't willing to do that. Id have to cancel my order and wait 7 days. The manager came an the Manager was kind but not helpful. He informed me that i need to cancel the item online and wait the 5 to 7 business days. (Not true, when purchased with a debit card cash can be returned same day) Ms Sylvia was ready for an argument & escalated faster as she believes she's the law. Walmart, let the customer know it is a four hour process for online pick up. If an item is out of stock, it should reflect so on line (at this moment my item is still in stock on line) so others don't have this same issue. Sylvia poured gas on the fire and made this worse and this can be cured by training. As for Walmart/Sams I am done, i just can't take the subpar service, dirty stores and misrepresentation any longer. Btw, I called customer service and I got my money back 20 min after leaving the store. read more

Walmart has never been my go-to choice for groceries for the reasons this location exemplifies. Namely, the state of their fresh produce is embarrassing, and everything about the store has a general air of apathy. In the past year or two they started closing at midnight, which makes it even less likely I'll give them any business, as they used to be one of the only 24-hour places around. This is the worst Walmart that I have ever been in as far as Customer Service. This is the second time in the last couple of weeks that I have had to return an item. There are six people in line and the person behind the desk keeps walking away and has been dealing with ONE person for the last 15 minutes. While it is 4:00pm, there is no sign of a supervisor to get any help. The last time after I stood in line for 20 minutes with no movement, I ended up walking out and coming back another day. The lady at the jewelry counter was helping someone that had absolutely no idea what she wanted. I asked if she could get me something out of the case because I already knew what I wanted. She told me to wait my turn, and proceeded to make me wait ten minutes while she helped this lady pick something out. I guess she had never heard of multi-tasking. I continued my shopping and ended up in the Christmas decorations department. After picking out some wrapping paper, I asked the disinterested teenage associate at the register where I could find scotch tape. She told me she had no idea and this wasn't her department. Okay... After finishing my shopping, I proceeded to the checkout where there were literally two open cashiers, plus the self checkout. I had an entire cart of Christmas presents so of course self checkout was not happening. Seriously. Two checkout lines two weeks before Christmas. Way to go, Wal-Mart. Less than average Walmart. The always low prices slogan stopped being true here years ago. Most items are much higher here than at Kroger and even higher than some of the mom & pop grocery store in the area on some things. It was once a great store but ever since they started changing managers more often than some people change their bed sheets, the quality has dropped. Between the poor training the employees receive (which isn't their fault, its management's) to the way those employees are treated, it makes for disgruntled workers...sadly that means their frustrations get taken out on us. If you want inexpensive, goto Kroger...but if you need some oddball item that only Walmart would have, spend the extra 8 minutes or so and head south to Florence..it is a night and day difference. read more

Wow, I have been a customer for over 30 years and moved close to this Walmart a few years ago-I go everyday just about, had a few problems in the pass minor but today killed it-I had money and ready to go, But I could not because three Walmart associates were standing in the middle of the main aisle and would not move talking to customers. I was told they did not have to move because they were helping a customer. I pushed my way through and had some words, then another manager instead of fixing the problem escalated it-The SCM that blocked the way was still blocking the way so I took out my phone and just put it up, they ran and left the main aisle lol. And call security on me, got harassed by them and I left lol-"Call corporate; see what happens..." I went back later and flip the security cameras off only to be caught by a main manager lol-That was embarrassing lol-I was pissed. Seriously just drive there and look yourself because it will be much quicker than trying to find someone who will even talk to you let alone look for the product! Went to buy a car stereo at 2 in the afternoon. No one was around, asked for help at the car repair section. They said someone would come help. Waited for 30 min and no one came. 3 associates walked by and no one asked if I needed help. I approached them and they walked away. I returned at 11pm and staff and associates were way more helpful. Store is dirty, greeters don't say anything to you, associates won't give you the time of day. Don't recommend shopping there during the day if you think you may need help accessing anything that is locked. No one seems to work there. Also been harassed for a receipt when leaving once before and all I had was a soft drink. But can walk out with a 200 dollar stereo and not get stopped. read more

I hate every time I tell people this, but here it goes... For the 12 months I lived in Ft. Wright, KY I did 100% of my grocery shopping at the Walmart off of Highland Pike. The Covington Kroger was awful enough for me to abandon it after one try and solely shop at Walmart - something I'd never, ever, ever done before. I'm 99% sure that prior to moving to Northern KY, I never set foot inside a Walmart. For that reason, I don't have much to compare this place to. Yeah, you will see some nasty, scary, and crazy people here. As Sheena D. said, just think about http://www.peopleofwalmart.com and you have about 40-50% of the patrons of this store. There are decent deals, cheap clothes, a full produce section, meat and deli section and bakery, and a large gardening/nursery area. I'm not sure if it's changed with its most recent renovations, but at the time that I frequented this Walmart, there were no self-check-out lanes at all. Despite the fact that they had a couple of express check-out lanes, they were poorly-staffed and the lines for them were longer than most of the regular lanes. I'm sure that unless I was there after 10pm or before 8am, I never waited in line less than 10 minutes. I wish that the Kroger in Ft. Mitchell had opened during my time in Ft. Wright so I wouldn't have had to be a Walmart regular, but at the same time I am relieved to have moved north of the river where there are plenty of better shopping options. read more
