I refer to this store as Kroghetto. I'm a disabled veteran with mobility disabilities and retired nurse. I can NEVER find an electric cart. Terrible pharmacy manager she can't not work under pressure if you ask to many questions or try to understand something that don't make sense she gets mad and refuses to fill your scripts so imagine her attitude having to work with someone with a mental disabilities and always has something smart to say about people on Medicaid she's rude unprofessional and needs some customer service training read more

absolutely terrible service. My husband ran short on money had to void items, then they accused him of stealing. they had the police search him while just having our toddler with him. he was dressed in his work clothes as a laborer. when I called to complain they said people with kids and jobs steal all the time. so my husband who voided items with a service person managed to steal? more like a gross over reach of authority. krogers doesn't support blue collar families. wish I could give zero stars read more

This isn't my favorite place to go grocery shopping, but when I need to pick up just a few items, it's conveniently located. A few years ago they did a refresh of the store and this definitely made a difference. The store is cleaner and brighter than it was before the refresh. This is a smaller location, so the options are more limited, but they always have the staples when I need to pick up a few ingredients. read more

I've lived here and shopped here all my life... today? hearing three young people, while I'm at the cash register, being scanned, brag about how much weed they smoke and how long it last them. atleast wait until I walk away. I leave and it sounded like a gun shot in parking lot , while I'm walking to my car . I've bought buns eaten by mice (dropping still inside the bag) and or expired here also . Why I typically go to walmart in ft wright now . I've gone to this store for probably 43 years. Surprised by how bad it has become. Kroger in Covington Ky. Don't shop at there deli, they say because they just cleaned there slicing machines they don't have to cut meat, you take what they have sliced already or you don't get anything, so guess what I didn't get anything. read more

While this Kroger does have the "Kroghetto" aura, it still hits the spot when one needs to stock up on some groceries. I was helped by a friendly worker in my quest for Agave Nectar (yeah, I don't really know what it is either except sugary syrup I guess). The selection is nowhere near the depth of the larger mega Krogers that have sprung up recently, but there are times when I don't want to have to walk down 1/4 mile aisles. This Kroger allows me to get in and out in record time. I found some good deals on Luna and Clif* bars too! Cool. There is a Redbox DVD/Blu Ray box outside the front door. In the far right back corner there is a discount section. And lastly, when I was there, a cop was on duty near the front, which was probably not necessary (at least I hope), but who knows... Their alcohol selection is well stocked in the 40oz variety ;) and also has a giant poster warning about drinking while pregnant. Interesting and sad. I'm extremely disappointed with the conditions at my local Kroger. I typically bypass this location in favor of a further Kroger (or Aldi), but my small trips to this store made out of convenience have been traumatic... no exaggeration. I visited in May of 2020 and witnessed a mouse run into plain sight. I called and spoke to store management because we were in the height of COVID and I didn't want to discuss face to face. I was advised that the store was working closely with corporate to manage the problem and it was a high priority. On the small trips I made after that I observed frequent puddles of water in the produce and dairy sections. Makeshift doors in the freezer section, and completely filthy floors and trash throughout the store. Yesterday I saw a dead mouse in a trap. I know the goal is to catch the mice but if I can see it, someone else can too who has the power to dispose of it. I'm also disappointed that Kroger has digital coupon prices prominently displayed, but no way for people without digital devices to upload the coupons. Kroger could spring for a kiosk or something to create equity in working class neighborhoods. I also think the buy 5 save $5 sales are discriminatory. One can't take advantage of sale prices if they don't have the money to buy multiple items. I emailed Kroger to express these concerns and my request appeared to fall on deaf ears because I received a generic email response. Kroger has some amazing stores, and some - like this one - that they clearly have given up on. The people of Covington deserve better!! read more

Place is a joke. They put in 0 effort . They barely even pick up there phone and when they do they say hello and then hang up... Irritating

Kroger's should be ashamed of this store and how it impacts their brand. It is disgusting and there isn't one good thing about it. Even though many of the shoppers are low income, they pay the same amount for groceries as do people in Hyde Park or Ft. Mitchell. Krogers--clean up this store, buy some new carts, include more wholesome and healthy food, and treat the people of Covington with more respect! read more

Fondly referred to as "kroghetto" for it's location, it's selection is what earns it two stars. This is probably the smallest Kroger I've ever been to. They have the basics but if you need variety, go to the newport kroger. read more

This place is seriously outdated and needs a makeover! The staff members are always nice. The parking lot needs a cart wrangler. Again the bathrooms are gross but not as bad as the Latonia Kroger. The crack building next to it isn't good for the business. I'm afraid to go there because you have a bunch of drug trafficking. read more

Decent grocery store. It will have all the necessities, but not a lot of variety. My fiancee and I stop here to pick up general things (e.g., trash bags, cereal). For a wider selection, we head to the Kroger in Fort Mitchell to do our weekly shopping. read more

This Krogers has been redone, new shelves, lights and deli appliances ..its one of the older ones, so its never going to be a Super Kroger. But its Clean and updated. big parking lot..the "hotel" next door is closed. Friendly Staff, decent selection read more

My husband was escorted out for asking if there were shopping carts and was told union does not allow them to collect them when weather is bad. It was not raining (just threatening to) and about 75 out. And when told union wont let them collect them he just says "go union" and walks off to get his stuff. Comes up to checkout and a rent a cop is telling him to leave and threatening to call the cops. He tells them to call the cops that is fine and is walked out. So I go in to get the items and walk in the door to hear the rent a cop and Sarah (customer service person) speaking foul words about my husband. I knew it was about my husband but even if I did not I still would have been offended for hearing employees speak so foul about customers. Where I work people get fired for that language. This Krogers does not seem to care and has no manners. We were complained at another time for telling the manager there was a dirty diaper in the produce bin. We seldom go there and only did today because our normal Krogers was out of stock of my baby's formula. Not sure I can ever handle walking in there again. Children don't wear shoes, the store is filthy and employees have no manners and have foul mouths. read more
