Recently moved over by Taylor Mill and wanted to try something new for lunch. Popped in on a Sunday afternoon and they were not busy at all. We sat at the bar and had fantastic service the entire time. They have been open for just about a year now. We learned that this is all family owned. Place is clean, very large and a ton of parking out front especially with how many businesses are in the plaza. They seem to have a decent happy hour and had a beer special on a Sunday afternoon. The menu is large and anyone in the family can get what they want. From Mexican to steak to salads, etc. The Garlic Cheese Bites were great. Just crispy enough and plenty of flavor. The bone in wings were reasonably priced but not my favorite. The flavor of the sauce was great but the wings themselves were average. I ordered the enchiladas pastor(pork with some pineapple and a white queso). Delicious and not overly salted or seasoned. My son ordered and enjoyed the shrimp and chicken fagitas. Great value. The prices were more than reasonable. It appears a very hardworking family is proud of their restaurant and all chipped in to provide excellent service. read more

Coba is a new spot and still pretty "green" in terms of service. My parents and I were not in a rush, so overall we had a pleasant time, but service was slow, and it seemed like they were either understaffed or still trying to figure things out. I will be happy to return in a month or two to see where things have changed because this place does have a lot of potential. The interior is super cute and the drinks were amazing. I tried the rose margarita, my mom had the Italian margarita and the drinks alone or worth it to come back. Chips and salsa, pretty basic, but can't go wrong. Other food was pleasant, not life-changing, but a solid tex-mex place to come back to. I hope that they iron out a few more details, get the space to move a little bit more smoothly, and I will be happy to bring more people in! read more

Visited with my two grandsons. Their kids meals are well worth the money. We had a chicken avocado bowl which was tasty and added some of the house hot sauce, definitely top notch. Also had the chicken fajitas which were typical, well seasoned and just what I wanted. Server was very attentive. read more

My friend got birria tacos, we LOVE birria and try them all over. Theirs are not true birria , but a super dry beef or Barbacoa. My pastor tacos had bacon in them. I've never had pastor tacos with bacon as the meat. The other meat in them was super burnt and crisp. Margs were only good part. read more

We popped in here last minute to kill time before an appointment next door. We had appetizers and a drink & it was great. They serve the chips & salsa on arrival. I had the street corn and was impressed with the flavor. They got us in and out in 40 minutes so we made our appointments which was nice since we were pushing the time. Every time I've been, the service has been bad and slow every time. It's a shame because I do enjoy the food.

So far so good...this place has been open 4 months now. My party of 4 had dinner last night (Sat. @6pm) and there were plenty of tables available. The margaritas were good and can in a shaker and served table side where you could top off your drink. It was pretty cool and for less than 12 bucks. Fresh fruit and lime was refreshing. The food was hot, and served with in 15 minutes of ordering... perfect, not too fast or slow. Guacamole was fresh and well seasoned and the app order was plenty to share on a table of 4. Texmex menu has burgers and seafood. Restaurant was clean and has that new moved in feel...not the beat up 100 yr old garage sale Mexican restaurant interior look. I will return and try again but can't give 5 stars just yet. read more

FOLLOW UP THE MANAGER MADE IT RIGHT AFTER READING MY REVIEW I APPRECIATE THE FACT THAT HE DID THIS 1. service was horrible...we were one of 2 couples in the whole place and the waitress was overwhelmed to the point that she charged is for both couples meals 2. the food was awful. i ordered 3 tacos and managed to get half of one down with a whole glass of water. the meat was so dry with very little cheese. its like they were competing with taco bell. 3. when we got the check and saw all the extra food on the waitress took the check but not the credit card and went to fix it. when she came back we were charged for then full amount instead of discounting my inedible food i guess there is a reason that we were only one of two couples in the place WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN read more

Pretty disappointed in this restaurant. I was really excited to try it for a friend's birthday dinner but we were all bummed out about our experience. Giving it 3 stars because the food & drinks were actually pretty good... the service was not. Waited a long time for our very basic drink orders to arrive, asked for extra chips for our dips and never got them until after our meals were brought out (and we had to remind him), my protein was wrong in my entree so I waited a bit for the remake to come out and by the time it came my friends were done eating. We would totally be understanding if it was a super busy dinner rush, but it was just us and one other table outside & only a few tables inside that we saw when we went in to go to the bathroom. If we were checked on more we probably would've ordered more drinks or even dessert, but it just felt like we were ignored in the outside corner most of the night. Our first trip to Coba was on a Monday night and we were very happy with the food, service, and ambiance! There was no wait so we were seated immediately. The menu is a bit overwhelming and organized kind of randomly, but the majority of the menu is made up of Tex-Mex kind of dishes. We opted for 4 Tapas plates and the queso. Queso is bland (I added cumin, paprika, and garlic powder to the leftovers at home and it's now delicious!), but the free salsa is so good! For our tapas, we had pork belly tacos, chicken tinga taquitos, gringas pastor, and birria quesadillas--would 10/10 recommend all 4 dishes!! Attentive service from the moment we walked in the door. Complimentary salsa and chips was on point. Shrimp tacos tasted delicious and fresh. Loved the sauce that came with them. Tried a bite of my husband's classic burger and it was very flavorful and the fries were nice and crispy. It's just another Mexican restaurant with people who cannot cook. My family and I decided to try this place specifically because other people have told us that it was OK. It just seems like any restaurant that moves into this little building here in Taylor Mill, falls, apart or falls on its face. I personally tried the fajita salad bowl, I couldn't be more disappointed Nothing was fresh. The salad was limp, brown, and had no distinctive anything to it. Including the chopped up, so-called steak that was put in it. For the price, it was not worth it. And I did send it back! From that point on, I did not order anything else. My children's food, came out Cold. Mac & cheese for a little one should be at least hot. Chicken wings because my teenager is so picky, they were like they were fresh out of the refrigerator. And my sons burger, was an absolute joke! Stay away from this place. read more

Went there in a hurry, felt really comfortable with how much time we had to eat once I saw the place had only had 3 tables seated. 1 of which had been served their food. How long does it to make a standard burrito? And chicken tenders? We waited for more than 40 minutes. On a Friday, Saturday, Sunday... you're slammed.. I get it. But to have the wait times that high for a place that is 1) new 2) empty... it's inexcusable. We had them box up our food prior to getting it at the table. Will not be back. Menu was legit. I've been here 3-4 times. They've been out of lemonade every time. The Salmon bowl is pretty good. The fried sushi is lacking salt and it's not served with soy sauce. The Coba Nachos are pretty good with large pieces of meat, but could use a bit more salt. Overall, the food has been pretty decent. read more

Something for just about everyone. We saw this place a few days ago and it looked nice, looking at their menu, the place looked much better. We decided to go on Father's Day with my father in law, he had a steak, my wife had the chicken fettuccine alfredo and I had the seafood fajita, we were all very pleased. Inside the ambience is very bright, not dark like most and much like a sports bar, big screen tv's everywhere. I guess this is a Mexican fusion type restaurant. There are tacos and fajitas and that kind of food, but also some other dishes like their "rice bowls". I had a salmon rice bowl with mango chutney, and it was delicious. The restaurant is sort of small feeling because of the amount of tables they put in there, but service was quick and friendly. I ordered a cheeseburger that was burnt and the cheese was cold, it has just been placed on the burger. The pork taco was greasy. I hope they hire a new chef. I would like to see the restaurant stay.
