The coconut chicken soup was amazing. Got pad thai as an entree which was also great. Good service!

Like this spot. Been trying the healthy eating route and I've been eating a ton of sushi around town. This place is one of my more favored sushi joints. It always taste fresh and they have some inventive rolls (Mexican being my fav). Their service is a bit slow (1 server for whole place) and portions are a bit small for the price. They also don't serve alcohol (but it's free BYOB).

Ruthai has a vast menu covering a variety of authentic Thai dishes. Personally, I have dedicated my life to trying the Red Curry everywhere I go, and this place did not disappoint! Fair warning though-- it can get a little bit spicy. Thankfully, the servers ask how spicy you want your dish to be on a scale of 1-4. Despite having a medium spice threshold, I decided to try 3 and I was left sweating from the already spicy Red Curry. (It was still worth it!). The ambiance: Limited options for floor seating are available, but they only seat 4 at each table. Luckily, my group of 6 went on a quiet Tuesday so they were nice enough to let us rearrange all the seats. It's a small and quiet place in general-- definitely a hole in the wall! Parking: Street parking Portions: Medium. Everyone definitely left full and some with scraps for leftovers. Price: Ordered the Red Curry and split a dessert (Sticky Rice with Mango), including tip- $17 Overall experience: The food is good enough to make me want to go back if I'm ever craving Thai food again!

Take out was ready for pick up 5 minutes after we placed the order and everything was very fresh. Menu is pretty extensive so everyone can get something they enjoy. I got the swimming tofu which is already vegan and it was delicious. I would come back and try some of the other vegan options!

After a search on Yelp we landed on Thai Pavillion and I'm so glad we did. Here's why... 1) I ordered on their website and it was a very seamless process. I liked that we were even able to select how spicy we wanted our food on a number scale. 2) The pick up time was not long after we ordered, even with it being in the middle of the busy lunch hour. 3) There's parking directly out front so I was able to simply pull up, throw my flashers on, and run in. It was there waiting for me when I arrived. 4) We both ordered the same thing, the pad Thai (spice level 1) with shrimp. We also shared an order of vegetable spring rolls. It came out to about $50 and that included a $5 tip. We both really liked what we got, but I'll stick with my specific opinion. The spring rolls were crispy and definitely hit the spot as an appetizer. As for the pad Thai, it was a great portion size, the spice level was exactly what I wanted, and the shrimp were perfectly cooked. It didn't have an overwhelming amount of bean sprouts, which was appreciated. The sauce was rich in flavor and the noodles were just right. We both agreed that we would order from here again. It was the best pad Thai I've had in a while. Definitely give them a try!

The restaurant is quaint, yet open, and totally family friendly. Servers are warm and courteous, even when they are slammed during peak dinner time (6:30-8). You get to choose from a Japanese and Thai menu, which contain a wide selection of equally delicious dishes, including fresh Sushi. You get 3 good restaurants in 1! Some dishes we've tried multiple times and recommended based on balanced flavors and consistency are: THAI: Spicy basil pork- has sweet scent of holy basil and abundant sauce. Our favorite to pour over rice. Papaya salad- full of flavor, but be conservative on your spice level selection ranging from 1-10. If you want "medium" spice, go with 2/3. Panang curry- you can choose your meat, but it's traditionally served with beef, which I think it's the best pairing as well. You can never go wrong with Thai curry, unless you order above your spice level ;) Pad see ew- stir fried wide rice noodles, also known as soy sauce noodles, comes with your choice of meat and veggies. Kids love it because noodles are soft and sauce is sweet. Crowd pleaser. JAPANESE: Katsu don- crispy chicken or pork cutlet drenched in sweet & salty sauce mixed with scrambled eggs and caramel used onions served over rice in a bowl. Total comfort Salmon teriyaki- great, nutritionally balanced meal with perfectly grilled salmon basted with teriyaki sauce over rice, and a side of shredded and steamed carrots and zucchini. Never regret ordering this. APPS: shrimp shumai and miso soup SUSHI: Cincy roll, spicy yellowtail, salmon nigiri As you can see, there are a lot of good options here. Go with a bigger group and dine family style to get the most out of your visit.

We ordered a variety of entrees, but the highlight was definitely the pho. The broth tasted very close to what you'd find in California and even Vietnam, which was a pleasant surprise. Really rich, balanced, and comforting. The only downside was the lack of fresh herbs on the side. It only came with a dish of bean sprouts, so it felt like it was missing that extra freshness that usually completes a bowl of pho. Service was amazing, mostly students from UC. But everyone was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Parking was pretty easy, which made the whole experience even smoother. Overall, still a solid spot, especially if you're craving pho that tastes authentic.
