Tom Yum soup (Big bowl)
Angel W.

Lovely Thai place in Covington. Service: quick, good service and will accommodate your requests! Ambiance: nice and clean restaurant. Enough seat for small- medium size group. Food: I grew up eating Thai and Lao food, so I can be a bit particular about Thai cuisine--but that's just my personal taste and opinion. Didn't mean the food is bad or the restaurant is not worth trying it! Papaya salad: 3.5/5 Good portion size, with a sweeter, more tomato-based flavor. Overall, it was good, but the taste didn't feel very authentic. I like it more sour and spicy. Tom yum goong: 2.5/5 The soup was bit disappointing--very salty and tasted artificial, with a sweeter, tomato-based flavor again. I couldn't taste any lemongrass, lime leaves, or spices. However, they did give us plenty of mushrooms and shrimp, and the portion was good. Duck curry: 3.5/5 The duck was very crispy--a bit dry, but it paired well with the curry. Curry was on the sweeter side. The rice was a little too wet, but the portion was generous. Pad Thai: 3/5 Pad Thai is okay. The noodle is too sticky, can use a slightly thicker noodle Or cook it less time. Noodle quality is good tho but the flavor is sweeter and very tomato based again. Size is generous. Overall, the food was good with generous portions, and the service was great! However, the flavors didn't taste very authentic to me, based on my personal preference.

Ordered takeout which was easy and quick. I got the Chicken Pad Thai with spice level 2, which I felt was a good medium spice. The noodles were thinner than the usual flat rice noodles that most Thai places use and were a bit sticky. I definitely prefer the flat rice noodles for my Pad Thai, but the flavor here was good and I enjoyed my meal! They definitely give a generous portion which is great! Overall it was a good meal and I would go back!

Lunch was very good! The service and speed of the food coming out was fantastic! The pad Thai is great, lots of flavor and the portion size was great! The stir fry was very good but lacked some flavor! Will be back for sure! It was a neat little restaurant too! No public bathroom

Simply Delicious! A must try if you are in the area. Excellent for lunch and dinner, family friendly. The menu includes the traditional Thai dishes as well and some other worth trying. The staff is friendly and prices are fair. Enjoy every bite!

Got takeout here for the first time and loved it! Not pictured is the red curry which I liked better than my drunken noodles dish. Overall great fresh flavors! Would definitely come back. We did not dine in so not sure about service or ambiance.

Love their food! Perfect taste and portions. I had the garlic and onion and my mum had the Thai spicy with tofu. Their chili oil was amazing not only spicy but also tasty. The tofu was delicious and very well seasoned. The white rice was well cooked and soft. Deft worth the try!

Been wanting to stop by and try this since it was re-opened so met up with a buddy and had lunch! Great staff super friendly upon walking in, and didn't have to wait to be seated. The overall vibe was great, perfect place to have lunch and converse. I ordered the chicken pad Thai and was delicious. Definitely will be back, especially because the lunch specials are great as well!

A new cozy Thai restaurant that brings authentic Thai flavors to Covington. Upon my entrance, I was greeted by friendly staff with smiling faces and warm welcome. Menu is accessible via QR code and they offer a huge selection of chef specials, lunch specials and even a kids menu. I ordered the Tom Yum noodle soup and it was packed with shrimp, scallops and squid. It was creamy and the sour/sweetness was well balanced. A nice touch was the complimentary vegetable soup that was served prior to the main course. The portion was so big that I couldn't finish my food. Highly recommend and can't wait to go back to try their curry!

Is there seating for party of 6 with a high chair? I don't see any interior pictures

Yes absolutely! I would call ahead first to let them know you're coming because most of their tables are 2-4 tops but there's definitely enough space to put 6 seats together! And they have high chairs as well!

How is parking? Are they handicap accessible?

Street parking, Sunday - Free / Monday-Saturday - Free after 9.00pm and Yes, Handicap accessible!

The space is open, bright and well decorated making it very inviting for brunch. You order at the counter from the menus placed along the wall then food is delivered to your table. The various brunch items all sounded very inviting so I was having trouble deciding what to order. So I got a recommendation to try the Shakshuka. Not sure how to pronounce it but when it arrived it was just the right portion and quite tasty for brunch. It's a bowl with a red pepper sauce and feta cheese and kale along with eggs sunny side up. The dish is served with pita so you can do a little bit of dipping in the tasty sauce. To accompany our food we selected the mimosa service and bloody mary pitcher. A pitcher is just perfect for sharing. And the mimosa service was delightful. The server arrived with a bottle of Prosecco and small carafes of orange, grapefruit and blood orange juices to mix yourself. The food was fresh and tasty with prompt delivery of our food to our table. Not quite a full service restaurant since you have to order at the counter but still a nice experience located downtown.

Being visitor from VA Beach, I asked what's the recommended dish, the server suggested omelette. But I wasn't in the mood for omelette so I saw shakshuka. I tried their Green Goddess version that has spinach (instead of tomato sauce) and feta. The food is a solid 3. I also ordered the Dubai Chocolate latte. It was a 3 as you taste more the milk than the chocolate syrup. I also got their chocolate chip banana bread.

Wow! What a way to spend our 1 year wedding anniversary! I loved this place…read more It has been a few months since eating here but I still find myself thinking about it. Our next trip to Cincinnati; It will be extremely difficult to stay away from here. We spent the day in Newport and around Cincinnati and wanted somewhere nice for the occasion. I was iffy on this place at first... you can throw a rock all over America and hit a place with 'Barrel' in the name these days. The Yelp reviews swing both ways here but I'm here to tell you my take... because it swings so far towards the 5 stars that it's very much a 6 or 7 star place(maybe more). We gauged our arrival time based on other activities that day. We wanted ample time at the nearby Lego exhibit so when we arrived there, we made a reservation for 4:30-5. Eating early and making our way back to Louisville was a great idea. The entire time we were there, no one else came in so we had the entire place to ourselves(It was a Friday). The atmosphere is homey but during busy times, I could see it being noisy. The booths could easily fit 6 people comfortably... probably 8 in some cases depending on how wide some of you are. Special Note: This place highlights The Parrillada Experience for Two on their menu and we wanted it! We didn't order it because at a price tag of 130-and pictures online, we didn't want it to be a failed outing. After our first trip, The Parrillada Exp will be on the agenda next time. It's a mixture of different steaks, sausages, shrimp, sides, and salads. Definitely worth the cost. On to the food: Sausage App - Argentine Chorizo. Farmhouse Sausage. Grilled Ciabatta. Hearts of Palm. Green/Red chimichurri. Pepper Relish. I don't like ordering this type of dish when I go places because you never know if it's going to be delicious or very bad. It ended up being super delicious. We couldn't make up our mind which sauce we liked the best and which meat we liked the best. App PERFECTION! Land and Sea - This is what my wife went with. Asada Skirt Steak. Jumbo Shrimp. Asparagus. Red chimichurri butter. I had bites of the shrimp and it was good. I had to save room for my dish. Wagyu Denver Cut - I went back and forth. Lobster ravioli being on the menu almost made my decision instant but I was going back and forth between ravioli, steak, and a few other things. I asked the server which he recommended of the 4 Chef's cuts. He recommended two... one of which was the Wagyu so I went with it. I wasn't disappointed AT ALL. He mentioned that the Wagyu Denver Cut was a new addition to the menu... I'm not sure but you could definitely tell it was cooked, arranged, and presented with care. I savored every angle of every bite. We also ordered a side of brussels because of course! Originally we were going to dessert somewhere else but went ahead and ordered the Hazelnut Vanilla Creme Brulee here. Perfect ending to the meal. This brulee was light and had the right amount of crunch. It was also larger than expected. We had no complaints with this place. Easily one of the better restaurants I've had in Cincinnati. If you're doubting visiting this place, take the dive! Other notes: They have beer and a small cocktail variety but they primarily seem focused on wine(plenty of options to choose from).

The drink was so good I had three... and I regret nothing. They were also running a pre fixed menu at a great price, and every stop on it absolutely slapped. The bread and butter plate alone was worth it, especially with three different butters to work through. The mushroom bisque was exceptional, rich and comforting. The good first, though: Whatever the flaws in its business model, Green District still turns out well-conceptualized salads that always seem fresh and tasty. The Hide & Go Greek is a very nice chicken one with a robust, terrific dressing. The Thai One On salad is (you guessed it) an Asian-influenced one with shrimp, lots of cabbage and cilantro, and a kind of generic but fresh-tasting Asian-style ginger-heavy dressing. Also very good. Fortunate thing you can order online and don't have to verbalize those unwieldy salad names to a fellow human. (But if you think those names are bad, another one wants you to hold its beer: the Tequila Mockingbird.). Anyway, the food gets this to three stars, but only barely. Alas, the service at this location is a shambles. Count on at least a 35-minute wait, even if you order right after 11am, when things presumably ought not to be backed up. And it looks like chaos back there--just not enough employees back there, most likely. Last time it took this restaurant an incomprehensible 50 minutes to get my salad out. (Who with a regular lunch "hour" downtown has time for this?) Credit to the unflappable and put-upon young fella at the end of the line; he kept doing his job steadily and kept cheerful about it. The manager is always madly rushing about and isn't nearly as cheery (but it almost certainly isn't her fault, either). It astonishing that the food can be is good as it is in this environment. There's something very wrong about this restaurant's business model when the family-run lunch spot down the street (seemingly just as many orders) can crank out your to-go salad (as good as here, for the most part) in three to five minutes and be as friendly as they can be about it. Whoever came up with the plan has some major issues to resolve.
