I can't speak for others but all I can do is share my personal experience at ProTech. A few weeks back I got hit from behind and my car was badly damaged from the rear. Just got back from Pro Tech and couldn't wait to write a review. My X-5 was hit on the passenger side door and needed to be replaced then the paint needed to be blended on the front panel and rear door. Looks like new. I was looking for somewhere local to take my car after someone hit the side while it was parked and didn't leave a note. After seeing the reviews for ProTech Body Shop I decided to go in for an estimate. Nour was so kind and professional and gave me a good price to fix the area that was damaged. I didn't want to leave my car for a long period of time and she gave me a date do bring it in and said it would take two days. I dropped the car off on a Monday afternoon and got it back on Wednesday afternoon. It looks great and I couldn't be happier! If you have a high-end car, this is the place your place. Let me explain. I had what felt like a very edge case situation take place where a bird had pooped on my newly painted hood, which left a mark on the finish due to acidity and heat. After a professional detail and buff from a separate company, the mark still didn't come off. The detailing company told me that I should take it to a body/paint shop to have the spot wet sanded and that it should be a pretty easy fix. I called ProTech Body Shop and asked to talk to their paint specialist and within 30 seconds was connected with Noore. First off, ring able to get on the line with a paint specialist that quickly is remarkable. The next thing that is noteworthy is that Noore new the exact predicament that I was in and was more than transparent about how she and her team could help and also the risk involved in trying to remove the mark in regards to preserving the clear coat. She knew exactly what she was talking about and was focused on setting the right expectations with me. Honesty is something that goes a long way and I appreciated that so much. She said that I could bring the car by the shop and she could take a look to better address the situation. When I arrived, I was greeted by a gentleman named Moorwan (apologies for misspelling names in this review). This gentleman was the owner of the shop and you could just tell his passion for cars. He helped me to address the spot on the paint and while barely visible to the naked eye appreciated the goal of trying to remove and assured me that his team could help to address it and explained the process that they would take. After leaving the shop, my original body shop where my hood was painted called me back and said they would take care of the spot for me, so I didn't take my car to be fixed at ProTech in the end, but still felt compelled to write this lengthy review. Why?! Because if my original shop didn't contact me back offering to take care of the spot, ProTech would have had my business. Their interaction with customers oozes with genuine care for craftsmanship and expertise. I have never had the level of customer service that I received from Noir and her mother. They were both very friendly and easy to speak with every time we interacted The level of communication was prompt and consistent. Noir went above and beyond to help me with problems that I had to deal with that had nothing to do with the repair of my car (had to replace the windshield on the rental I was driving due to a huge ding from a rock on Mopac). Not many businesses will do that without expecting something in return. But she happily helped, no strings attached! The work on my car was already finished and she continued to offer and give her assistance. As for the work...quality. You cannot even tell the right side of my car had been repaired. I am insured by Geico- recently switched to them as a matter of fact. While parked on the side of the road in a Brentwood neighborhood, my car was side-swiped. I filed a claim under uninsured motorist with Geico, and they sent me to ProTech as it is close to my Austin apartment. My experience with both Geico and ProTech were nothing short of outstanding. This is of course a frustrating process--dealing with any kind of auto accident and insurance claim--but Geico and ProTech made it so simple and were so pleasant along the way. I was able to pick up and drop off my rental car at ProTech. When I arrived there to drop off my vehicle, Protech had called Enterprise, and they were there waiting on me with an awesome Jeep Wrangler rental. ProTech staff also went out of their way on several occassions. My car was acting a little funny on the drive over to ProTech and the staff spent at least 30 minutes diagnosing the issue for me- testing the battery, alternator, etc.-none of which they charged me for. They eventually found out that I needed a new battery and even did some research to help me locate the cheapest battery I could buy without sacrificing quality. They said to come back and they would install it for me free of charge- just the nicest! When I returned a few days later to pick up my car, the work was absolutely beautiful. Not to mention that the estimate was completely reasonable. My car looked brand new. They even detailed the car inside and out. I have a dog--she sheds quite a bite--so my car hadn't looked that good since I drove my Jeep Cherokee out off the dealer parking lot. To top it all off, the store owner, Marwan, was absolutely delightful. He had presents for me when I picked up my car! He gave me a a coffee mug and a key chain that had the ProTech logo on it. So very thoughtful, pleasant, and all around good at his job. Finally, there is an ADORABLE mini aussie that runs around and rules the shop. Where do I start? I had the pleasure of destroying a large purple bookshelf on IH35 at 60 mph with my 2011 Ford Explorer. The the bookshelf was decimated, my vehicle experienced some front end damage. Needless to say, this incident was extremely frustrating -- until I got to Pro Tech. I was greeted by the front office staff and Marwan with smiles. I had never needed a vehicle to be fixed through an insurance claim before but Marwan walked me through the damage to the vehicle and outlined the entire process for me, which I appreciated. From my experience, albeit little, with auto repair businesses the folks who run it don't need to be overly nice - you have a problem with a vehicle, they have a service that fixes your problem - it's a business transaction for most. I was treated like a friend by Marwan. I thought it was important to outline what a great individual people who see this will be dealing with. Once I had the claim in, the expectation was set that the following Friday (about a week later, for parts and labor, and they were busy). Pro Tech called Enterprise for me, to have my rental vehicle pick me up. Fast forward about a week (that following Friday), and right on time, I get a call from Pro Tech explaining that my vehicle was ready. I was extremely impressed that it was finished on time, just based on other experiences with body shops. Upon arrival, I saw my 2011 Explorer. It looked brand new. Again, I was greeted with smiles from Marwin and staff. He wanted to show me his work on the vehicle. Although I was there as a customer to have work done, I got the sense he wanted to show me because he was proud of the work, and truly wanted to see me happy. He was extremely thorough. I had an exceptional experience with ProTech. I have a fairly new Audi S4, which is by far the nicest car I have ever owned. By a longshot. Well, someone scraped up the side in a parking lot pretty bad, and they had Geico insurance, so I picked ProTech out of a "streamlined process" list. The appointment was made, rental ready to go, and they got to work immediately. Well, a day later I go the call that they had accidentally broken a window, and I was furious ... I also had a new tint job that was very expensive, and just couldn't believe my car was in worse shape than when I dropped it off. They assured me everything would be good as new, and that the tint would be perfect, and even wanted to see the exact type, brand, and shade that I got. They wound up getting OEM Audi glass, went to the tint place to ensure a perfect match, and fixed the main paint and body damage to perfection (all in about a week, which was incredibly fast). Communication was great, the work is truly "good as new", and they have earned a lifetime customer (hopefully not a frequent one, but "stuff" happens!). I am a perfectionist German car driver (probably called worse on the roads), and if they can make me happy in this situation, I can assure you they truly run a great business. Oh yeah, the amount the insurance company paid for repairs was completely reasonable, so even if it is not an insurance claim, get a quote from these guys - very reasonable pricing. Many thanks!
