Mark, the owner and manager of this terrific body shop, is just THE BEST! I called around 5 PM on Friday, to see if they could repair a door that I had knocked out of kilter. I had left the door open & when I backed out of my garage, the door was yanked backwards. (Oops!!) He told me I could bring it by then, even though it was close to the 6 PM closing time. Not only did they completely fix it and fix it quickly, Mark charged me so little that I tried to give him more. Mark refused, saying he doesn't rip off his customers. That's an understatement! I rolled the dice on this shop due to the good reviews, and I'm so glad I did. My front bumper and part of the fender needed repair. The quote was more than fair and the work was exceptional. Wow. What amazing service by Mark. He was quick to answer the phone and quick to assess the damage to my car when I pulled up. He was communicative, respectful and didn't play any games. I had not heard of this shop or its owner last week. I'm about the same age as the spry, fit owner. We share athletic backgrounds, so we traded stories. A couple years ago our friends came down from Wisconsin in their old van. They were going to leave on Saturday night for the coast but the van overheated. I called Mark on his personal number and he came out to where we were (close to his house) to look at it. He looked at it the next day (which was Easter Sunday, who does that??) and offered the full week long repair, or the patch it together on monday repair to get them to the coast and home. I was told by over 10 other auto shops that they could not even see me until early March 2021. In less than one week, Mark was able to not only obtain my bumper, but also have it installed immediately when I came to his business. The office is old and the property itself could use some TLC. It might feel sketchy but this is an old school business with handwritten receipts. Cash or check only! My passenger door was damaged but useable until the window motor stopped working. I found North Lamar Auto Body on Yelp and took it in to get the window fixed and an estimate on the door. Within hours, Mark had located a used door the same color and quoted a price of $500. He fixed it the next day and when I went to pay, I assumed it would be at least $500 plus sales tax, but he said no, $500 flat! If I would have known getting a new door was that easy and inexpensive, I would have done it much sooner. read more

This shop is a true example of don't judge a book by its cover. The shop may not look like much (have to admit I was skeptical at first) but my experience here far exceeded my expectations. If you need a car repair, you seriously NEED to check out this shop! I visited this shop after my car got t-boned in an accident. On top of the damages to one of the car doors from the accident, I also had a bunch other dings and dents, including a huge hole on my bumper from a previous incident. Needless to say I was pretty stressed about the situation especially given my not-so-flexible work hours, but Mark tried his best to work with me and my schedule. The best part is, although the insurance money only covered the damages to my car door, Mark helped repair NOT ONLY the door but also the other imperfections INCLUDING the hole in my bumper with no extra charge. My car looks way better now than it did before the accident, and my once hideous bumper now looks brand new! He didn't even have to fix it, but he insisted to fix it so that my car would look nicer altogether. Mark's clear communication and guidance throughout the whole process made everything so much easier and took a lot of stress off my shoulder. I had a minor fender-bender recently and my driver's side door wouldn't open so I had to either enter on the shotgun side and clamber across or pull a Dukes of Hazard maneuver to get in. I was dreading taking it in, figuring there was no way I was getting out without dropping at the minimum, several hundred bucks. I had never had any body work done, so where to take it was a shot in the dark. Not only did this guy fix it right then, he didn't even want to take payment for it. I forced him to take $20, but he was reluctant. I asked about the other damage - the hood doesn't close properly and the rest of the front body is slightly skew. He gave me a large number as a rough estimate, but clearly thought I'd be wasting money to do it. With any luck, I won't require car body services again, but if I ever do, that's certainly where I'll go. read more

I've had a Toyota 4runner since 1999 and it's going strong. However, recently one connection point for the front seat came loose and I couldn't get it re-attached to the body of the car. A pretty serious and potentially dangerous problem. After talking to a few mechanics and another body shop for advice, I stopped in here. Mark took a look and told me he could fix it. "No problem." like it was no big deal. :) They welded it and it's sturdy as hell.
