I'm about to sing some serious praises, y'all, and, if you're not here for it...well, you should be, if you're in the market for some truly excellent PPF/Tint protection for your bouncing new baby Tesla! I absolutely was, and I did all of the obligatory deep dives into Yelp, YouTube, and Reddit threads for literal months while waiting for my delivery date! Yep, that also meant the should I/shouldn't I PPF rigamarole, but we erred on the side of caution and went with it, just to Safety Sally it all. Once we dove in (oh, you utterly wretched Fremont, California paint!), I knew, for sure, that XPEL Austin was my jam! There are lots of great places in 512 that have equally great Tesla reviews, but something about XPEL Austin clarion-called me in, and I def made the right decision! At the risk of making this a novel, allow me to quickly paint the picture: Hubby and I headed to Baton Rouge for the first half of Spring Break, and the delightful Kristianna arranged for our fresh new Tesla to be delivered from our garage to XPEL's huge and modern place on Metric. I only had to add the designated driver, Johnathan, as an approved driver on my app, and, by the by, he got her there with my 99% safety score still intact! Thanks, dude! The service went above and beyond from there! Kristianna kept us totally informed throughout the process, Kristofer was a totally killer PPF maestro (we went for XPEL Ultimate Plus on the full front, plus rockers and pillars), and Ivan masterfully applied our tint (we went for XPEL Prime Plus in 30% on all windows, and clear XPEL Prime Plus on the huge windshield). I must admit that we occasionally peeked in on their work with Sentry Mode! Please don't judge! Lol! They were all truly excellent! Our TWIZZLR looks absolutely gorgeous, and she really enjoyed her XPEL spa day. The price was extremely fair, to boot! I couldn't possibly recommend the good folks at XPEL Austin more highly! A few years ago, at the recommendation of the North Austin Porsche dealership, I took my Porsche to this shop and had the hood, the two doors, and the side view mirrors covered. It wasn't cheap. I was told that if it looked bad, it would be replaced at no cost (by the previous manager Kristianna Garcia who no longer works there). Since then, I have had quite a few dings. I'm not at the point where the whole thing needs to be replaced, so I didn't think I'd have a problem. I called and asked if I could possibly have a few little pieces that I could cut to try to fit over the open areas, and the person I talked to, said they couldn't do that, that I could come down and they would take a look at it. That's an hour or an hour and a half, just one way. I asked if the manager could could just mail me little pieces, and the manager had said no--and he said they couldn't do that. I even offered to send him a self addressed stamped envelope, and he declined. I told him I would not show those pieces to their competitors, and they still wouldn't agree to it. So I told them when I was finished, I was going to write a review, and they weren't going to like it. But it's the truth. What I think looks bad, they may look at it and say it didn't look bad. So it's relative? Again, all I am asking for is a few little scraps mailed to me. If you're going to have work done here, just think about it. If you have problems in the future, you may run into a bunch of excuses. read more

There's a nice sized bubble stain left from one of the bubbles they said would go away :/ brand new 2026 Tesla, $700+ , and more than twice did they want me NOT to do what I wanted..dark tint on back glass, they called it "limo tint". 2 weeks in a passenger removed their seatbelt it scratched off the tint. Now I have to spend that same amount just to have the back glass redone. I've tried putting up with it since October but it's nearly everyday I'm remembered of the experience. Get what you want! I remember the reason he kept giving was "you can see better". This far in and the car has driven itself nearly all the time. I have cameras and blind spot lights as added support. So in the end, I didn't get what it wanted, it scratched within 2 weeks from a simple belt buckle, I went with a high cost business cuz it seemed worth it, but wasn't. And Texas summer is around the corner. It's just, lame to friends get a much better experience and pay $400 elsewhere. And they got the roof done too. I understand product and pricing is different. Just reference to- I can't even say I got what I wanted/asked for. Not even quality. I gave the "it looks good" response on pick up. Just to keep how unhappy I was from showing. read more

Good experience. Had full ppf and tint done. When i went to pick up the car they forgot to put my spoiler back on, but not a big deal, easy fix. Had to bring the car back a few days later as some of the ppf did not stick completely as well as having to redo the roof tint since it had a wrinkle in it. every looks good as of now. will inspect and make an update if i find any More hick ups. read more

Royal Treatment! We had our Audi S5 "Magma" originally done in San Antonio. We were pleased that Xpel opened a location in Austin. Much closer to home and work. We had some warranty work done there which included replacing most of the Xpel Ultimate film that was on the front of the car. I own a 2014 Lexus RX 350 and became concerned about a pending out-of-state road trip, so I wanted to add some protection to thwart the rigors the road provides. I researched various films and applicators then called XPEL Austin. Subsequent to the conversation I drove to their facility and had my additional questions thoughtfully answered and was actually able to see their product being installed on a vehicle. I decided on the full front end wrap and am glad I did! The process took the majority of the day but the wait was well worth it. At one point the installer stated it was taking longer than he anticipated because he "was a perfectionist" which was music to my ears. He did an incredible job and the application was absolutely flawless. While on my road trip I was stuck on a bridge behind two semi's with plenty of debris and I could hear the constant pinging pelting my windshield. When I arrived at my destination and did an inspection the windshield had suffered some damage but the front end paint and headlights were still in pristine condition! My entire experience with this company was stellar and having their product installed was one of my better consumer related choices.
