I got to the shop first thing in the morning, and just before the shop closed I had basically a brand new car! I can finally see out of my windows, the tint is so smooth and makes the 20 year old car feel brand new. I got the regulation grade on the front two windows and a medium tint on the rest. I got my Tesla replaced with a new model and this is my review as a return customer! Sunbusters was seamless to work with--I got a quick quote through Yelp and proceeded to call to finalize the details. Since I had done tinting before, the shop had record of my previous work to make sure it would be the same this time around. I was scheduled in within a week and the work just took 4 hours (I did not tint the rear windshield but I have confidence they can do this work). They also have a warranty where if you needed to replace the glass at at point that they would redo the tint for free! Had ceramic film installed on windshield. They did a good job with the install but I don't notice any reduction in heat. The rest of the car has tinted windows. My previous car had ceramic tint and I could tell the difference with it. I also had them tint the quarter glass windows which had been left untinted by the dealer. The cost for those was much more than I would have expected. This place was highly recommended but I don't know that my experience was that great. read more

The person who reached out via Yelp was very knowledgeable and even helped me to understand the difference between the different types of tint offered by the various companies in town. They even added a small section for our Texas tag # so it won't damage the tint when I have to change out my renewal tag. Dave and his crew here did a pretty good job. Unknown to me my vehicle had previously been tinted, but it was removed. However some glue was left behind from that. They did have to redo one rear window that I saw when I was leaving that had an anomaly under the tint. I can see how it may have been missed as when you open the doors on a Tesla, the windows go down slightly and it hid this part. I am used to spending a few hundred on window tint for my vehicles, but its been years since I've had it done and I usually just go with the cheap non ceramic. This was a bit more, but the back window is one full piece and a large piece of glass on the car as well as ceramic. Dave explained the process via email and the ins and outs of tinting this specific vehicle. I have no doubt it will last for years to come, also the higher end tint comes with a lifetime warranty. I had read such good things about Sunbusters but was hesitant to take in my Tesla Model 3 as I have heard it can be difficult to install tint on (not to mention it can get pretty pricey) I scheduled my appointment with Dave and he was very helpful advising me on the best tint application for my situation and the final result is pretty good, however, I did run into some issues. After talking with and getting estimates from five local Austin shops for window tinting, paint protection film and ceramic finish I selected Sunbusters. David (sales I believe) was the person I spoke with for the estimate. One of the best I spoke with in terms of knowledge and willingness to take the time to clearly explain options. He was also timely in providing a thorough estimate. The excellent customer service continued with the work. Rene is the PPF master that has 14+ years experience. When I dropped off the car and discussed additional options I had in mind, Rene was outstanding and thorough in explaining options and making recommendations. The list of the work I ultimately had done: * PPF for full front including a-pillars, side door panels below the body line, rear bumper inside lip and down bumper * Formula One Stratos 30% on all windows except the front and roof * Front windshield with Air90 (no tint, but UV/IR protection) * C-bond windshield strengthener as the car will see a lot of freeway miles * Ceramic coating * Paint chrome Tesla logo and Dual Motor badges black The quality of all of the above are outstanding. The PPF is so well done that finding edges where the PPF ends on sections where there was just partial work like the lower section of the door panels requires touching the paint to find the edge. All edges for complete coverage areas are complete with wrap around (e.g. hood, front, a-pillars, etc). For the level of tint, I went with Sunbusters' recommendation. It is at just the right level. The rear doors and hatch are dark enough that contents are not visible, but the visibility out is just fine. I made an appointment and arrived at 10am to have my two front windows on my Tesla Y tinted. They completed the tinting in 12 minutes!!!! Ok, they had only two other jobs inside so put my car inside at 10:03 am after I checked in. The two techs each installed tinting on a window and then they drove the Y out to the front at 10:15am.
