Trust the reviews! I got the Formula One Pinnacle ceramic tint (their mid-tier option) along with their Air90 windshield tint and all I got to say is wow. The heat rejection properties are AMAZING. With the tint, it literally takes less than 30 secs for the whole car to cool after I get the AC started even after leaving the car out all day in the sun. And when I'm driving around, I don't feel any heat coming in AT ALL. Setting up an appt was very easy and they went over all the options and the pros/cons of each option. I 100% recommend getting one of the ceramic options at the minimum. Trust me, the heat rejection properties in the Texas summer heat will make it worth it. The Formula One Pinnacle Ceramic is probably the best bang for your buck option. It comes with a lifetime warranty plus an additional "no-fault" warranty to cover damage to the film. If you nick, scratch, tear, scuff, or even replace a window they will replace the film at no charge. The only other tint option that offers that no-fault warranty is their top-of-the-line Stratos tint. Reluctant to give Custom Sounds another chance to redeem themselves I did some searching and figured Sunbusters was the ideal choice for window tint. I called a few Saturday's ago while it was dumping rain in hopes they'd be less booked and sure enough I was able to bring my car in that afternoon. On the phone I was quoted for the work to take about 1 and half hours -- these noble gents did it in 35 minutes. I didn't even have time to finish the Yerba and baggachips I bought next door before she was ready. What more can I say. A mixture of luck and great service had me reeling from the other egregious experiences I've had getting tint done on other vehicles. They took extra care with my tint job and COVID safety procedures (wiping handles, steering wheels and any points of contact hands would touch) I was assisted inside on the different types of window tint and answered any questions I had. Also had my PPF done by this company. If you're in the market to get your windows tinted I would recommend going to this place. Best thing to do is make an appointment in a week advance time. Also have someone pick you up on your appointment. If not you will have to sit outside in the canopy. Took the vehicle in to get the Stratos tint along with Air clear for the windshield. Thanks for Mr Oxford for walking me through the different series and advantages. It was completed in the time they stated. 4 days later noticed some blemishes on the sunroof and rear window. Returned and they made an attempt to fix on-site with negative results. 3rd time was not a charm. Dirt issues with the tint. All windows have a small amount which isn't great but I let it go because they're not very noticeable. Although one back passenger window really bothered me as encased dirt spots were really noticeable. Had it done 3 times truthfully needs to be done a 4th to fix the issue but it's time consuming and frankly outright outrageous to have to keep going through this. Extremely frustrating experience to say the least. I have to say the employees there are friendly and great but the service itself needs work. They need to check the tint before giving it back to the customer ESPECIALLY if it's getting redone. read more

Well, I now understand why everyone gives this place such high reviews. Glad I came here. Dave is the man. I came in and scheduled a time for a consultation. Before we ever talked prices or got ahead of ourselves, he walked me through the different tint options and not only explained them, but demonstrated them with a light to show the difference between all of them. The shop is set up in such a great way visually. It's one thing to say something blocks light and heat better, it's another to have the tools necessary to showcase it first hand with the customer. It makes you feel more comfortable and like you're not being upsold. The quality of the work was great. I HAD AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE HERE!!! I called in on Tuesday morning around 11:30 am was told to come in around 1 pm the same day. Got there around 1:15 and they got right to work tinting my f-150. Best of all, they offer LLumar FormulaOne film which in my opinion is the best film in tinting and has the best coloring that actually matches the factory tint when looking out of the vehicle. I've had multiple vehicles over the years with LLumar tint and it's the best. Unfortunately, a week ago I had the two front side windows tinted to match the back windows at a different shop in Austin (NOT Sunbusters) that did not use LLumar film... and I learned my lesson. Upon getting the car back, the tint had a blueish/green hue when looking out of the vehicle and it was extremely unpleasant and looked really cheap. Before the tint even dried I ripped it off the vehicle and found Sunbusters on LLumar's website as the main LLumar installer in Austin. I scheduled an appointment and today I had the two front windows tinted at Sunbusters and could not be happier! It's night and day how much nicer Sunbuster's LLumar tint is compared to the crummy tint job I had done across town last week. Sunbusters' clientele is a lot of high-end vehicles as seen on their website and that speaks volumes for the caliber of work they do. If you are at all particular about your car (like I certainly am), go to Sunbusters! I was shown the different tint available and decided to go with the ceramic tint all the way around with clear ceramic on the windshield. Got quoted and was ready to start. I was quoted 3-4 hours to complete the job. Received a phone call @ 2:39pm- Car was ready to pick up! I was able to pay over the phone and pick up after closing, to avoid the Austin traffic at 7pm. Bought a brand new car a week ago, and I needed to get the windows tinted asap because we live in Texas...and it's summer. Found Sunbusters on Yelp and wow, did they do a good job. I called to schedule an appointment and get a quote, and they quoted me on two varieties. When I got there, I saw that they have more than the two I was given, and was told that I was quoted for the ones that would best color-match the privacy glass on my car. (Wow, very considerate and knowledgeable.) The one I chose was the formula one ceramic with transferable lifetime warranty, meaning if my window got smashed (which has happened to me in Austin, on my old car), they'd tint the replacement window FOR FREE. Yeah, you read that right. FOR (hand clap) FREE (hand clap). My appointment was for 1 pm and I expected them to be finished by 3 pm. around 1:40, I went to a neighboring pet store (WHICH WAS GREAT -- visit Gallery of Pets) and came back around 2:40ish. My car had been completed and parked back outside the garage. I wish they'd given me a call, but I think they knew I'd have to come back before they closed since I couldn't have gone far without my car. They tinted my two front windows for $149 and for a lifetime transferable warranty and really good heat reduction without adding too much color to the window, I'm am extremely satisfied.
