I got a rock chip in my windshield and had to get my windshield replaced, thus needed to get my tint redone. Coincidentally, I saw someone on the road with a great job done on their truck a week prior. They had gotten the tint job done at JC's. I had my previous job done at Austin Window Tint. On the whim, I decided to switch it up and have it done at JC's this time. I didn't think the job I got done at Austin Window Tint could have been done better, but have to admit that JC's did do it better. Almost flawless job done at JC's. Whereas even on the second try at AWT, there was still noticeable dust/air in some areas -- I asked AWT to reapply after being unhappy with first job, and they gladly did. The attention to detail and craftsmanship was stunning at JC's. Great craftsmanship, competitive prices, nice people at JC's. I took my new car here to the windows and taillights tinted. They said it would take 1.5hrs, it took over 3hrs, causing me to miss an important appointment. The next day, I noticed all the tint literally falling off so I took it back to them. They redid it and the same thing happened. They agreed to refund me, but never did so I disputed the charge. They then fought the dispute which promped me to leave this review. I'm still dealing with my credit card company, trying to get the money back. Do yourself a favor and find a better shop. read more

I had my windows tinted here for my wife's X1 a few weeks back. These gents were quick, very professional and went in to detail how to care for the tinted windows. They even put a cool sticker on the window control buttons as a reminder to not roll em down Today, two weeks later I noticed the trim ( we very rarely drive her car ) on the passenger side not all the way down kinda like bent. I called the shop, the gentleman on the phone immediately said bring it in so we can take a look at it. As soon as we got there he went out there and fixed the issue, no biggie. We then went inside, I asked him for a quote for my 3 series, after looking in his system, he Reffered me to another shop because they have an alarm that can easily interface with my system. Why do I bring this up? Any other shop would have tried selling me some junk system for the sake of selling something, instead he did the right thing for me the customer. They installed two pro drivers and two bullet tweeters in each door on my Chevy avalanche. Also two alternators a limiteless lithium battery and back up camera was installed . The work they do here is very clean at a fair price . I am running a lot of equipment an no wiring is visible . I provided the equipment. Let me first say this. I understand my car is 21 years old. And some parts especially on a BMW are brittle. But the guy that i spoke with on lamar, said " oh we just had a car like this in here a few weeks ago." With that being said my assumption was .Oh so they understand what they are working with.NOT !! They broke quite a few things. And when i texted them ,he said ." Paul, sorry to hear that but unfortunately the car is pretty old and there is no way to prevent parts from breaking. We have had this discussion many times before with other customers and they understand that a car this old, it's very hard depending on the sun exposure to prevent from parts breaking. Also the 3% fee is for using any card to pay and that's standard for all customers but I know there was an exception made for you. If you have further questions you can call the number on your receipt " . And if they called me or even told me what occurred , before or when I paid. Mayb the blow might have been a little easier. Listen i don't know how this place got 4 1/2 stars after paying good money I had to go back 4 different times. The last time I went back because my mic to the phone wasn't working. I dropped it off at 10:00 am came back at 6:00 pm had to wait another hour before it was ready. When I got home subwoofer was working fine when I dropped it off. When I got home they were making a funny noise. Took it back today and was told both subs are blown defective, Really rockford 15 inch different boxes both defective. Tried saleing me subs because I didn't buy them from them. Mind you brand new still in box. Both defective? I was born by not yesterday. Don't go there until you want to give your money away. I recently bought a floor mounted cell phone mount. It is very sturdy and doesn't tempt you to touch your phone with the new Texas hands-free laws. I bought it from Amazon, but when it got here, I decided I wanted a pro to mount it in my new car. I took it to JC's. We discussed where it needed to be, and they installed it while I waited. It took them about 20 minutes to install. I was very impressed with the installation. They did not drill into the floor and instead mounted it securely under the passenger seat rail bolt. They even carefully modified the plastic cover over the bolt cover so it would look really professional. On top of that, they charged me a very reasonable fee for doing the custom creative installation. They carry top of the line stereo and window tinting. I am going back to install some window tint that will decrease the heat level in the car while blocking out 99% of UV rays. They probably have 15 different types of window tint that is also top of the line. Highly recommend if you need window tint and custom sound equipment. read more

I had some work done on my car recently where the battery was disconnected so I brought my car to JCS to re-tune my stereo system. They had it done fast and it sounds perfect! I called numerous auto window companies in Austin. They all wanted approximately $150 to remove the old tint from my car. JC's Window Tint. I spoke to Eddie at JC's. Eddie quoted me $65. They have a Very Small set-up on Lamar. Expect tight parking. The work they did for me and the price was exceptional. They have no understanding of customer service. I went there 3 times hopping they will improve. No idea of what customers service mean. So mean and rude if you use them maybe, but if you're there to ask for something they just ignore you, respond for the first question and start rudeness. I will never go back there, and will never recommend it to anyone. And if they think it's something they can't do they will kick you with an imaginary price. I have a smart car fortwo. I went there to change the stock speakers, and he was like it's so hard to change them, so!? He said its better to keep them and install a subwoofer. How can you add a subwoofer if you don't have enough sound power and clarity!? Ok i thought i will just follow and see, how much I asked? He say at least 700$ with one sub no speakers, and we are talking about a tiny subwoofer. I told him i will think about it. He gives that look like I killed his girlfriend or burned his house. I went there with some vinyl tint for my headlights and tail lights (I bought them online and had them install them). When they finished it was an extremely botched job. The tint didn't even cover the entire headlights or tail lights, there were a bunch of bubbles in the wrap, and they cut off some of the wrap when they are designed to cover the entire lights. I ended up just taking them off. I would never recommend this place to anyone and you'll never see me there again that's for sure. read more
