Here's a very authentic review for Tint World off Burnet. Mind you, I dealt directly with the owner Nadeem. I had previously went to another store to see if the work I wanted done on my Tundra was possible. After finding out a few unrelated stores couldn't do the work I came across Tint World. I went through the same process of coming by with my truck and explaining what I wanted done to make sure it was possible. I met Nadeem and told him I wanted star lights and ambient lighting throughout. He looked at my truck and assured me it could be done and that it would take "two days." He quoted me $2200 and I agreed that was a fare price and I'd come back after the weekend to leave him the vehicle. I dropped my truck off on Monday morning. I reached out towards the end of the business day for an update and had no response. The following day Tuesday Nadeem told me it may take an extra day and that they were working through some issues. I told him that was fine and to just keep me informed. At the end of Tuesday Nadeem had messaged me and apologized that he didn't realize the material on the moon roof which is about 80% of the headliner space with these panoramic moon roofs wasn't possible to achieve the starlight feature. He said he added them on the perimeter. This was done before asking for approval after he knew what I wanted at the beginning. He told me to rush over that evening because the truck was now complete. I hurried over from Round Rock only to find a numerous amount of concerns. This was far from a "white glove experience." The headliner fabric had obvious tears that needed to be addressed, a number of stars not completely penetrated, the shooting star feature which he sold me on was non existent. He later admitted they installed it incorrectly for that to work. The lights were functional through Bluetooth but the music feature for the lights did not work. The ambient lighting wasn't symmetrical in the front of the vehicle and was cut short and uneven. It was also Bluetooth functioned. When the ambient lighting music feature was used it caused my music to cut in and out on the stereo. Nadeem explained after the fact that both the star light Bluetooth and ambient light Bluetooth would cause music cut out because it can't work simultaneously with musics Bluetooth. Wow. This would have been great to be updated on before installation. I cannot use these features I've now paid for simultaneously with my music. Multiple door pieces and the trim over the odometer were missing stock clips to keep them tight and connected. He had an employee who also works for Toyota "come up" with those pieces to later reattach my vehicle. I explained to Nadeem how this experience felt and he just blankly stared at me with little to no response. He accepted fault and offered me $100 dollars off. At checkout the price went from 2200 to 2500 because he forgot to mention taxes. I told him in the future when quoting a customer he should give them the "out of door" price because taxes on 2200 is game changing. He didn't have anything to say. As I was leaving he offered a window tint. I told him my windows were already tinted and he told me he could match the back windows with the front. I agreed. When I got home I noticed the ambient lighting on the doors doesn't automatically turn off with the car. They stay on in the front and turn off in the back. I called Nadeem and he told me the doors hold reserve power and that I would have to manually turn them off each time when I turn my car off. Nadeem had one of his employees call me to come back in after taking my car back to fix some of the issues. He wasn't there when I arrived to make sure things were fixed. My headliner lights and visor lights were no longer working after the new installation of ambient lights. My music still skipped and wouldn't play from the starlight app, and Nadeem wouldn't respond to my messages. His employee kept saying Nadeem is the only one. He clearly ran away from providing any type of customer care. I was shown text messages that nothing further would be fixed and that I'm no longer welcome for service. Nadeem cuts corners and doesn't take responsibility for his mistakes. I have the texts to prove it. I warn anybody who has any plans to service their vehicle here. At this point with the price I paid I was completely frustrated. He told me he would give me my money back but to never step foot in his store. I felt like this response was completely unnecessary. I don't need my money back I just want the things I paid for to work and meet expectation. I don't usually write reviews but I felt this was necessary. I made the mistake of adding after market features to my tundra with less than 1000 miles. Shame on me. However, as a business it's upsetting to know owners don't go above and beyond to make things right. read more

I was visiting from out of town and asked the manager, Nadeem, to make sure the tint was legal for my home state. I even pulled up the official legal requirements, which clearly state that no tint is allowed below the AS1 line on the windshield, and showed them to him before the job began. He assured me it would be compliant. Within two weeks, I was pulled over by a police officer who said the tint on my full windshield was illegal. He pointed out that legally, tint is not allowed below the AS1 line, but this shop tinted the entire windshield. I called Nadeem to let him know what happened. He said he would have it fixed at another shop local to me, which I appreciated at first. I stopped by a shop near me to get it corrected, and that employee called Nadeem. During that call, Nadeem was extremely rude and said he would not refund me for the illegal windshield tint. I had already paid $384.99, and on top of that, Nadeem made me pay an additional $80 to the second shop just to fix his mistake. I specifically asked for a legal tint and provided the law myself. The lack of accountability and rude behavior was unacceptable. I would not trust this shop. read more

Got our third new vehicle ceramic coated at Tint World. Great service, great price, super job. We got two vehicles done in 2019 and they have been so easy to clean and stayed show room quality. One gets parked outside and looks like new with just a hose off and towel dry. We traded the other one on a brand new Volvo XC 60. We called Nadeem and got it in right away for a lifetime coating. At the time- I spoke with two people prior to leaving my vehicle there. I was assured up and down that it was no problem. When i returned they tinted the windshield brow how i specifically asked them not to. I asked them to do it the way they said they would initially and i was charged for the correction. I also noticed that my steering wheel was cut up on the bottom and they scratched my dash on a brand new vehicle. They were the first service i had done on my truck so i knew it was them and nobody else. Today- i had to purchase a new steering wheel and i get to look at the water streaks they stained my doors with every time its humid, as well as the scratch in the dash. They may or may not have been who dented my truck door as well but i noticed weeks later so who knows. I would love to get my money back and reimbursed for the steering wheel but i know that wont happen. Brand new Saleen F-150.. trashed on the inside. Id take this goof ball to court if i could prove anything in court. If you care about your car, go somewhere else. read more

My wife and I were sitting in the living room on a Saturday morning talking about how we should really tint the front two windows to match the rest of the car, fully expecting that we would have to wait a week or two to get a weekend appointment. After calling a few places and being told just that, Tint Wold let us know that if we could be there in 20 mins, they could make it happen. Jumped into the car, and an hour later, we had tinted windows. Couldn't have asked for an easier process. Their cost was right in line with other dealers and they only use top quality materials (extremely important because all of the other "cheap stuff" doesn't come with nationwide warranties at other spots). Nadeem and his team are very professional and helped me make an informative decision when it came to the darkness of the film. Requested a quote via email and received a response the same day. The car was done within the turn around time I was quoted which is rare for any automotive service. My car was pulled into the garage and got prepped to get worked on before I left the building. The car (4 doors, trunk, and windshield) was tinted phenomenally and once the film cures, it will look even better. The only negative part of my experience was they didn't have enough 80% film to tint my roof so I have to come back to get that done. It sucks to need to make another visit BUT Nadeem apologized about the inconvenience and gave me options/alternatives. Honestly it wasn't a big deal because options were given. Sometimes businesses run out of things. It happens and it's nothing to be mad about. Options/alternatives are huge. I went to this place with my semi truck on March 29th and by September, my stereo that I purchased w/installation from Tint World started malfunctioning while I was driving down the highway. At first, I thought it was Pandora or my phone's network. Once I stopped, I was able to see that it was the stereo. I cut it off and back on again and that is when it started to say, "check wiring". I called the shop and was told to bring it in on that Saturday after me calling. I took it in and, and they only reset it and told me how to do it. I left back out on the road that Monday, and while driving again, it did the same thing. I tried resetting it again but to no avail. So I called up there and talked to the owner, and I explained who I was and that this problem is still happening! This dude got quiet and I was waiting for him to give some feedback , but he was ignoring me the whole while!!!! I heard him doing something in the background so I said,"hello"! Afterwards, he say,"yes?", and then gets quiet again and hangs up in my face. I tried calling back twice but it was only going to voicemail at that point. I did leave a vm trying to give him the benefit of the doubt. So this problem I've been experiencing since September and decided to go ahead and enlighten others that consider going here... My experience was sufficient. I wasn't wowed. I had an alarm and dash cam installed on my work van. Didn't really get a deal. They forget a couple of things. You know, lazy brain type stuff. Probably will find another provider if I ever need this type of work again. 5 Stars for Tint World! I made a few calls to get quotes, Tint World was right in line with others and had great reviews. It was also pretty close to me. I called and scheduled a day in which I could drop off the car. They tinted my windows with high quality ceramic film and added an "eyebrow" or stripe across the front windshield. I wanted to keep my windows street legal which was a concern and Nadeem kept me in compliance. I thoroughly checked the window tint and Nadeem had very smooth straight cuts without any visible issues or problem areas. He was even able to get the small windows looking good in those tight spots. I took my teenage daughter's car in for a tracking device and it only lasted two days. They also got grease on her passenger seat and scratched it. I took it back three days later because it still wasn't working and they kept the car all day and didn't fix anything. Instead, they just made it worse; they parked it all on the parking block causing damage to the front bumper. When I brought that to the owner's attention and showed him before I even moved the car, he said he can't control how tall the parking blocks are and then walked away. I took my 2014 Ram in to get clear bra installed on the lower 16" of the doors and bed. No major curves just flat and I entrusted tint world to be able to handle this simple install as they assured me their installer was very well experienced in installing paint protection film or clear bra. I picked the truck up after hours so I could not show the owner how bad of an install they did. After calling and letting him know all the problems with the installation he advised me to bring it by and have them fix it but their installer has no business doing clear bra installation so I was not going to take it back to them for fear it would get messed up even worse than it already is. Just about every edge had a spot or spots that would not stay down and there were tons of them. This is the most frustrating because I've put in hours and hours trying to get these edges to stay down and still no luck. Either the installer did not get all the polish residue off before he laid the film on or he stretched the film so much that the edges have fingers and they won't stay down. There were tons of bubbles in the film. Air bubbles and water bubbles. I was told these would go away but they did not. I had to get a needle to suction the air/water out of these bubbles. Again hours were spent on this as well. There is road tar and grass/debris underneath the clear bra. There is no way to get this out. I know they Clay bared my truck because I saw them doing it before I left but they did not get spots of road tar off and just installed the clear bra over it to where it is very noticeable because it bubbles up. Also specs of grass/debris underneath the clear bra in a few places. Last but not least their installer cut into my paint in a few places leaving long cuts/scratches in my paint. This was as simple an installation as it gets for clear bra. There was no need to have to cut the film on the paint of my truck. And to top that off their installer can't cut a straight line. The cuts are very jagged probably from using a dull blade. I don't usually write reviews but this has been a very frustrating experience and I have wasted a lot of money and time I shouldn't have had to Bottom line is if you're just getting tint then they're good but if you're getting paint protection film/clear bra please avoid this place so you won't be disappointed as I was read more

If I could give no stars I would, I tinted my car here about a year 2 years ago when I purchased it, in texas the legal limit is 25% on the front windows, so I told them to do the front legal and the back as dark as they could. The paper they gave me said 18% so I asked why did it say that and the owner told me it was because it was the tint he used the most but that the two front windows were legal so I left and had no issues for 1 and 1/2. This year I had to do the inspection to my car for the first time and I was told I needed to remove my tint from the front windows because they weren't at the legal limit so I called the location and an employee he told me the owner was out of town I explained the situation and he said it was no problem and that I just needed to go in order to fix it , I explained to him that I didn't live in Austin anymore and that I was going to have to drive from Houston to Austin in order to do this, he said it was okay just give him a call when I was going. A week later I called him and told the same employee that I was going to drive there on Saturday and I was going to get there around four and he told me that I was fine to go and that they would take care of me that same day; that never happened I waited for like three hours because he said that he was going to be able to do it but he was busy at the moment and then after that, he just told me. Oh hey, I'm sorry we're not going to be able to do it today. Actually you're gonna have to come some other day like if I lived a minute away. I contacted another tint world here in Houston and they told me to call them to have them refund me the money in order for me to be able to redo it right here in Houston. I called the owner and the he told me he wasn't going to replace the tint nor refund my money because the tint was done the way that the paper said even tho it wasn't what I asked for. First of all my tent was supposed to be 18% all throughout according to the famous paper he's talking about but in back of my car it's 5% and the front was like 14%; to conclude this location is just the worst they take forever to do your tint and they're not consistent with their work they are just really unprofessional! read more

Overall, pretty good experience. Pretty costly, but tint was done very well. Downside is I scheduled my appointment for 9 am, called before I showed up and asked for tentative timeline. Was told it would be 2-3 hours, but it took 7. Super unfortunate as there was a girl who was behind me who also was told it would be 3 hours and was then told different at drop off... she was crying in the parking lot as she was afraid she was going to miss her chemo treatment because of how long it was going to take. Seems like they don't care about customers schedules, should of just been honest, but they do a good job at installing the tint. Also, they forgot to put my registration sticker back on and it dried out and doesn't stick anymore. read more

Update 06/01/20 Shortly after posting my initial review the owner himself reached out to try and address my concerns and issues. That in itself says quite a bit about a business in my opinion. He informed that the oversight in after care information and safety considerations was due to new hires and the quickly evolving situation, which at the time is understandable. He informed that both concerns had been addressed and improved upon and as a gesture of appreciation and good will even refunded a good amount of the final price. All in all I am satisfied with the response to my concerns and the level of effort that was taken to resolve the issues detailed in my original review. And as stated initially, I really like the tint and work performed. It's been a few weeks now since my visit and the tint still looks fantastic. Thanks Tint World! read more
