Highly recommend the Feynlab ceramic coating - it looks (and feels) amazing! I had a DIY consumer-grade ceramic coating that I had applied myself, but it lost its effectiveness after less than a year (even after careful hand washing). The professional coating looks great and I'm sure will last for many years. I had a couple gashes in my PPF on the front bumper, and although PPF damage can't really be repaired, they touched it up nicely so now I don't notice every time I walk by my car. read more

Brian and Brian (yes, my name is also Brian) showed me what truly great customer service is like. They also spell Brian correctly too, none of that Y nonsense. I had a small "oops" with my Tesla and dented and scratched my driver side rear quarter panel. I was devastated, and although may not look too bad for some, it bothered me every day I drove it, especially since it was right by the charging port. Got a few absurd quotes from Tesla service center and other body shops. But after glowing reviews and recommendations from friends and Facebook groups, I brought it to Austin Detailing. You know they know their way around teslas when 90% of their customer base is Tesla. Brian Daly was extremely great at providing me a quote, easy drop off time on Sunday (with key drop at their shop). The turn around was insane, my car was delivered *to my house* by Thursday since they had a customer in the area anyway. I am extremely OCD and the paint work is flawless. I mean they matched the white pearl exactly! My car is ceramic coated as well, and I expected to have to bring it in later to get it re-done on the quarter panel, but lo and behold, they re-coated the quarter panel for me! Mind blown. Range anxiety is bad enough with your first EV, but the Texas sun and bad tint only makes it worse Within 24 hours of me emailing them, Brian and his crew had removed the old tint and put on brand new premium tint that looks flawless at an excellent price. After reviewing the initial quote, we setup an agreed upon time for drop off and within a few hours, they were done and even offered to drop the car off to me at work, which was great! Not only was the job well done, they were able to meet some additional requests for a brow to be done the following day, which they came to pickup and drop the car back off within 3 hours. I tried to have PPF applied to my Tesla Model Y at Austin Detailing, but he ended up talking me into a PPF that was too thick. I wasn't told that it would have relief cuts, and he would have to do the rear in 2 pieces. I had previously had another Tesla done at a shop up in Pflugerville that was more expensive and took much longer to get PPF applied, however, they did a much better job. - No visible relief cuts and you can tell they took more time to do the job right. When I told the owner that I didn't like the job, it seemed like something snapped, and I was told that they would take it off, but if they damaged the paint, it was on me, not him. He wouldn't let me swap it out for something different --- it was somehow my fault for not liking the quality of the job they did. There are better places out there - don't be fooled by the horde of FB followers or positive reviews. read more

(Review was drafted March 2015, submitted after I found it.) This was the absolute WORST experience I have ever had at any auto detail business ever! At first, I thought it was simply due to a bad day for them, but after being accosted by their boss/owner, Brian, today I realize there is clearly a history of negligence and poor customer service at this establishment. It started off fine... I dropped off my mom's Audi Q5 to get 'The Super Boss' ($260) yesterday at 9:30am. The front desk person (named "Mel", I think.) said that it'd be done around 2pm, latest 3pm. So around 3pm that day I arrive to sit in their waiting room because my phone had died while waiting elsewhere. It was really warm in the waiting room because they don't usually keep the A/C on, according to Mel. Thankfully, she turned it on after a few minutes without me saying anything. She was a very nice, personable lady, and made the wait very pleasant. A bit after 3pm, I heard that humidity was making it hard to dry the carpets properly. -- No biggie. I brought stuff to keep me busy. I let them know that I would need to leave by 4pm either way, though. I'm finally told the car is ready, I pay, and go to give the car a look. I don't know what time this was, but my receipt is timed at 4:48 pm. Outside one of the workers puts the car mats and my stuff into the back because the carpets still aren't totally dry and offers to walk me around the car. As I'm walking around, I realize that the ink spot on the leather that I especially asked them to work on, at the expense of other things if needed, was still quite noticeably there. A bit of spit and a rub with my finger got a bit off, so I asked them to go over it again. They did, and it was better. In the back, the ledge of my rear bumper had dust and large water spots. I asked them to wipe it down again. My rubber mats all had foot prints and dirt on them, because mats are left outside on the curb here to clean and dry. --- I asked them to re clean the rubber mats, which they did with the exception of the rear storage area mat. (Mr. Allen did clean it when I had to return the next day.) I then realized that a purple can of air freshener I remembered seeing in the car's cupholder was not there. I ask about it and nobody remembered seeing it. They let me eyeball the shop, but I didn't see it anywhere. I just apologized for being mistaken and left. *Now, at this point, this is all minor stuff. But still, it's not stuff I want to have to ask for after waiting for hours and spending $260 not including a tip. At this point, I'm thinking this place is maybe a 4/5 star place. I might try it again, based on all the other reviews rather than my experience.* Driving away from the place, I realized my windshield was dirty so I tried to use windshield wipers and fluid to clean it up. It turned out the grime was on the INSIDE of the windshield, and was a spray that hadn't been cleaned off. Also, the windshield wiper fluid did not bead and run off my windshield, while driving so before I even got home I had water spots across my windshield and car. All I could think the whole drive home was "I just spent around $300 on this car and the damn windshield is covered in grime." At that point, I considered giving a 3 star review.--- (Mr. Allen, thankfully, wiped the inside and outside of my windshield when I returned the next day.) So I got home and took a few photos, because overall I thought things were ok and I was going to leave an ok review. Then I realized the mats in the back of the car were not right! There are 4 black carpet mats that DON'T belong to me, 1 gray audi carpet mat, and 3 rubber audi mats. *Despite not being my car, both my boyfriend and I use it frequently. Last we knew, the car had 4 rubber Audi mats. And according to the car's owner and our memories, there were also 4 gray mats kept in the rear storage area. So I figured I was missing 1 rubber mat and 3 gray carpet mats.* Additionally, I look through my bag of re-usable grocery bags in the back to find (1) trash they had found in the car (2) that purple can of air freshener that no one remembered ever seeing (3) a PANEL FROM SOMEWHERE INSIDE THE CAR that nobody thought to mention. I called and left a message with Mel about the mats and the random panel. The next day I call after 1pm to follow up. I'm told the black mats do belong to someone else, and they'd start looking for my mats. When I returned, I was overtly suspected of lying about mats having been there until someone found one (there's no accountability for what's removed from cars), I was told my windshield experience was impossible because they use the highest quality products, also that my rubber mats were low quality anyway because they weren't Weathertech/over 0.5" deep...and honestly this list could go on for paragraphs. We even watched surveillance footage. Truly, the epitome of a 1 star experience. read more

I've taken both of my cars here. One for a full car ceramic coating and tint. One for a full car matte wrap ppf, ceramic and tint. Without hesitation I'd come back and do each of my cars again 100%. Brian is awesome. He's super chill but he really knows his stuff and he listens to what you want. No pushy selling, no bs, just aligning your needs to what they can do. They had a line out the door of hail damaged Teslas and still they were able to do a big, complex job for me flawlessly in a totally reasonable timeframe (2 hours earlier available to pickup too!) DON'T LET THE FACEBOOK FOLLOWERS FOOL YOU! Brian is very unprofessional and very unreliable. I reached out to him and received a quote for PPF on my vehicle. I accepted the quote in writing, signed the invoice and scheduled the appointment weeks out. After waiting several weeks for my appointment, Brian messaged me days before my appointment on Facebook saying they wanted to cancel my appointment and no longer wanted to do my vehicle. During the time I was waiting for my appointment, I also had reached out to Brian for a quote on tint. His price was double the price of another local shop. So I declined to do the tint with Brian/Austin Auto Finishes. Instead, I went to another PPF shop that does tint/PPF. The other shop was able to get me in the same day I reached out and provided excellent service. During that appointment I shared with them the quote I received from Brian/Austin Auto Finishes. At no point did Brian tell me not to share my quote or anything along those lines. In conclusion, Brian got upset because I shopped his quote with one of his competitors and he caught wind of it. So he decided to back out of the deal he agreed to give me on the PPF. Highly recommend looking into other shops. They will offer better materials, get you in right away, for a lower price, and a much better experience. Brian does not care about your business; I had previously taken my Tesla to him to be fixed, but clearly he does not value a loyal customer. We were presented an issue regarding one of Tesla Model 3 wheels, on 11/16, after doing a four Tire swap at Discount Tire in N. Round Rock. I made an appointment with Tesla Service, but their earliest date to be seen was 12/01. I reached out to AAF, later that afternoon, and they asked me to bring the vehicle by in the morning. The Owner, Brian Daly, and his Team, assessed the issue, provided me loaner wheel, and they got in contact with a local wheel repair shop that could fix the wheel. In all of about 2hrs time, my wheel was back on my vehicle, and I was out the door. Grateful for the folks at Austin Auto Finishes, and their dedication to Customer Service. By far one of the best experiences I've had at a car detailing place. Mr Brian Daly was by far the most awesome person I met and knows his Tesla stuff. They (the Tesla dealership down the street) even recommended me to them when I first got my Tesla model Y. I wish I would've gotten the ppf right when I got the car cus I got some rock chips on the bumper and I also got this big rock that took off some paint on my hood, and austin detail even fixed that before they wrapped it. They also fixed some rim cubage too! This place does everything. And the ceramic coating (which I had no idea what it did) until it rained the next day and I could compare rain drops from my car to the next car. It's crazy the difference. The rain just beads off of the car. After a rain storm it still looks nice! Anyhow. Point being, take your car here, Jackson or Evan or any of the guys will def take care of y'all! read more

I've never had my car detailed before, so I really don't know what to compare it to. Given that it cost $120 to detail only the interior of my PriusC (for size comparison purposes), I had high expectations. I'm also pretty detail oriented about cleaning (especially when paying for it), so keep those things in mind as you read my review. THE GOOD: I had bought my car from my sister (a dirty person), and she had left it pretty gross. The light grey cloth seats had tons of stains on them. They removed almost all of the stains. Awesome. They also cleaned out the cup containers so that I didn't feel grossed out by touching them. They had been really sticky from coins and some kind of icky syrup. The floors were generally clean. THE BAD: While overall it was good, I was really expecting no spot to be missed. But there were quite a few missed spots. There was still sand on the backs of my seats (my sister lived by the beach). That was clearly just an oversight because a vacuum would have easily fixed that. My seat belt latches were still very dirty, and that would have been fixed had someone noticed that. The hole between my buttons and the console also remained dirty. It looked as if the dirt had actually been pushed in. The floors weren't "that" clean. I feel like a little more attention would have fixed it. For paying as much as I did, I expected better. They might be better than the rest, but I have nothing to compare it to. I do know that I will try somewhere else when I get my car detailed next year. read more

I brought my 97 Eurovan Camper to Austin Detailing to get a thorough cleaning. It is a unique vehicle but about the same size as a large van. Was quoted $200 by the owner for a total interior cleaning and detailing. I explained over the phone that it was dirty and I needed someone to really put some work in. I had read the positive reviews online and was very excited to drop it off to see what they could do. Dropped the van off the night before it was to be cleaned. The next afternoon they called to say it was finished and I promptly came by to pick it up. When I got there my personal cleaning supplies from the back of the van were in the driver seat, the cushions were on the floor, jumper cables piled on the cushions. It was not quite ready to be picked up. I went inside and within a minute I noticed that the window sills and cabinets were not wiped, the water marks on the side panels were not cleaned as they came off with my finger. There was literally a layer of dust on multiple surfaces and still dog hair on the seats. I explained my concerns to the manager who brought his crew back out and we sat watching them "clean". If cleaning means wiping random surfaces with towels and then walking away they did a bang up job. To me, it seemed abundantly clear the cleaning staff could not care less about the job. I pointed out a water spot, the guys claimed it was cleaned and the stain had come back. So my girlfriend borrowed a towel and cleaned the spot in front of them, next day and it is still clean..... The manager was a very nice guy but the job was just not worth $200. I was prepared for the van to not come completely clean (it is 20 years old) but I expected them to actually wipe the whole thing down and attempt to clean the trouble spots. Now we get to re-clean the van ourselves. read more

Austin pollen gets EVERYWHERE--- especially if you use your windows when ur AC is broken. Brought the car to Austin Detailing & they did a great job!!! Prices are definitely steep, $140 for interior detailing. Not something we can afford to do often...BUT they definitely got the job done. They shampoo'd our cloth seats & carpets & cleaned the mats & every crevice of the car! They even took stuff out of the compartments so they could clean it out really well. It really looked like a brand new car on the inside when they were done. And the seats were dry when we picked up the car :) Nice! Best part-- no annoying smell!!! AKA no superflowery or chemical smells. It didn't smell like overpowering deodorizer or cleaning solution that makes you cringe. Brian is a really nice guy & walked through the whole car with us at the end to show us the work they did. If I ever need an interior detailing again, I will come here- no doubt! TIPS: This place is HARD TO FIND!!! It's not a separate building... it's actually in a complex of brown business buildings & it's a unit in the VERY BACK. 1 star for canceling on our appointed time AFTER I DROPPED IT OFF. I called in 5 days ago and scheduled an appointment for today. I gave my credit card information and double checked on the time, which was Monday at 8am. I showed up on time to the location and dragged a friend down so I could hitch a ride back to work. The guy that worked there seemed completely unorganized and did not even ask who I was or to fill out paper work or anything. So I told him I had an 8am appointment and dropped the car off of course. I get a call at 8:20am saying they never even scheduled for my car to get cleaned today, and that it will be finished late (just at the end of the day). Which in all reality is not that big of a deal, so I squashed the minor annoyance and was fine with. Get called at 2:30pm and they literally tell me they "don't have time to clean it today and can give me a $30 discount for my next visit". Then I follow to ask if they can have it done by tomorrow instead, which the reply is the latest they can get to it is Friday. It's simple - you make a mistake, you fix it. Things happen and I totally get that, but the reason this review gets 1 star is because of the response to the mistake I was given. You don't offer a $30 discount and move on, you offer a $30 discount AND fix your mistake. Complete incompetence. Highly recommend avoiding this shop on the chance you get an experience similar to mine. read more

I found Austin Detailing on Yelp, and was VERY pleased with the experience and service. Ordered The Boss Package back in April for my 12-year old Volkswagen Passat. My poor car's interior had not been thoroughly cleaned for maybe 7 years or so (I know, I was a neglectful car owner for too long). I explained this to them on the phone, and also notified them of which parts of the car had some significant dirt buildup, so they were prepared. Two-man crew showed up at my home (on time), and quickly began working. Originally they thought it would take 2-3 hours, but (as I suspected) it took them a little longer. They really paid attention to detail, and I could tell they touched every square inch of the interior and they would not leave until their job was 100% done. As for the dirt buildup I mentioned...all gone! Zero complaints. I do recommend them. When I called, they offered me a discount for scheduling an appointment 1 week in advance, so ask about that when you call. Another tip. They will wash your floor mats, so figure they will take a few hours to dry after they leave. If they service the car in a shared/public parking space and you cannot leave the wet floor mats outside to dry, bring a towel and put the floor mats on your back seat until they dry. read more

Austin Detailing did an AMAZING job on my car. I did "The Boss Package" and it was well worth it. Brian owns the business and he is very friendly and helpful! He definitely knows his stuff when it comes to auto detailing. Recently, I bought a used 2008 Honda Accord which I don't think was ever detailed by the previous owner so I was nervous there was permanent damage. However, the exterior and interior of my car came back to me in impeccable shape. I could tell Austin Detailing took their time to clean my car, and I greatly appreciate that. I took my car to another detailing place to have my headlights restored and they told me they could not be restored at all. After Austin Detailing worked on my car they were able to clean most of it, and I was shocked. My headlights are severely worn down so I will have to go back to have them completely restored for $90, but I'm amazed they can even be restored at all. Brian told me the paint on my car was borderline about to be permanently damaged from the oxidation of the sun, and thankfully they were able to restore it and apply wax to prevent further damage. Brian recommended for me to wax my car on my own, and to come back for an exterior detail in about 6 months which I will definitely be doing! read more

I called on a Tuesday, my wife and I swapped cars since her schedule is crazier than mine, and Brian and his team came out the next day to take care of things. His Lead dude Frankie was courteous and professional, gave me a quick rundown on what they would be doing, and let me go back to work. The car looked BRAND NEW. That soda stain caused by a dog paw through a ginormous Whataburger cup of Dr. Pepper? Gone. Crumbs, dust, finger prints, vanished. I had a couple of bad experiences getting my car detailed and Austin and had despaired of finding a good place. These guys did a good job and delivered what I felt was the proper value for the price. One thing I want to mention that doesn't reflect on their services: they operate out of a van and can come to you, and you should take them up on that. I went to their home location thinking that there would be an air-conditioned office or maybe somewhere within walking distance where I could grab a beer. There is nothing remotely nearby except a Holiday Inn (the bar didn't open until 4 pm) and a Luby's. I drew the line at waiting inside Luby's. So I ended up just awkwardly standing under a tree trying to read and not sweat too much. Their time estimate was spot-on (about an hour and a half for me), and they obviously worked pretty hard on the carpets. My car had a lot of set-in stains, so while it didn't come out looking perfect, I was amazed that it looked as good as it did. I only take off a star because there were some spots on the doors that they missed. They were easy to fix, but I felt like they took time on some parts of the process and skimped on the simpler parts like cleaning the doors. Still, no big deal given how good the car looked otherwise. I would recommend them, but be sure to schedule a couple of days in advance. I got the impression that they can usually fit you in sooner than that, but the second time I called them they were booked solid through a holiday weekend. read more
