Went in for carpet shampoo and got out with carpet looking and smelling like new. Three employees worked on carpet which cut down on wait time. And, Matt, station manager, honored 25% discount promotion though I, technically, may have not been eligible for it. Staff were friendly, actually smiled while providing customer service. Prices are reasonable, competitive...with applied discount was a bargain. Also, what initially attracted me to Wash Room was their website. The Wash Shop offers comprehensive auto detail membership packages as well as al la carte deals you can purchase separately, which is what I did, being on a budget. I bought the $79.99 carpet cleaning service and got a free car wash with service. Prices and services are in easily explained format/groupings on website. I wish I had seen the 2.6 Star Yelp rating before I went yesterday. Because I wasted $60 and two hours on a terrible wash job. And it's not like it was a difficult car to clean. A one year old SUV with 2400 miles on it. The reason I came here rather than the Arbor Car Wash where I usually take my truck to is that I wanted the film on the inside of the windows to be cleaned well. Plus, I was the GSM at the BMW store a mile away for 19 years and used these people for back up when our car wash was down. Man! Have they gone downhill! When the vehicle came out the rest of the car was ok, but the windows were horrible ! I told the girl at the cash register and she sent a guy out who promptly made the windows worse. Never again. it's unfortunate im having to write this review after being a customer here for the last 10 years, but i brought in my truck on 3/31, and as i was pulling into the parking lot i put up my late grandfathers ring into a compartment that's kind of hidden and a place they don't clean, and as soon as i got in and checked to make sure it was still there, it was gone. 100% stolen without question considering i put it there 30 seconds before arrival and told myself to double check before i leave to make sure it wasn't stolen, and sure enough it was. They asked the detailer and he obviously said he didn't know where it was. was there for 2 hours waiting for a cop to arrive and file a report. It's an irreplaceable ring that holds a lot of sentimental value to me. I wash and detail my own car and never go through automated car washing stations. My car accidentally got dirty and i needed to get it washed quickly. My initial call to this location made me wonder if I wanted to come here. But I met the owner about a year ago and he was so nice, so I decided to come anyway because they offer hand washing. This place is almost sharing the driveway with Krispy Kreme. The day I came it was crazy busy at donut shop and overwhelming and the parking situation is very confusing. So I called and the young lady left her post and assisted me and guided me to the correct parking area. Thank you! I was quoted over the phone wait of 25 minutes or longer. So I was prepared to wait. I sat down inside, but another gentlemen inside was uncomfortable with me sitting across from him even with a mask, so I decided to go outside. There is a lovely outside waiting area with a nice bench. I decided to sit outside and wait. It is so relaxing with tree overhead providing shade. I just needed a refreshing beverage and it would be perfect. Started to do some work and my car was done. 10 minutes later!!!! I was so shocked and confused at the quick washing that I forgot to tip them. I am so sorry! The car was beautifully clean, it sparkled! The interior center console was so beautiful and sparkly, I forgot my dash has some sparkle bits in the plastic. The car was vacuumed, had a few leaves, there were gone. You need a hand car wash? Come here! You want machine wash? Come here, they offer that too. You want beautiful clean waiting area? Come here, you have 2 options: inside or out, go out. Worst I have ever had. The car was not wiped down, the windows were still dirty, the dash and doors were untouched. When I raised this to manager she became defensive and did not even look at my vehicle she just assumed my expectations were too high. She was rude! After she, begrudgingly, had the car finished, it was nice, exactly as it should have been. BTW, she met me at the cc machine, upsold me to interior for +$15 bucks, and did not explain how limited it is until she delivered a car that did not even meet your minimal case standard. Went for a hand wash on my Jeep Wrangler with no hard top .. $26 dollars plus a tip of $5 and when i got the Jeep the inside was the way I took it in and the outside was just wet they didn't even dry the Jeep the way they were supposed to .. horrible service never going back! I went there with a relatively clean car that really only needed a full service once over; a $45.00 idea. What they tried to deliver was a wipe job by a blind man. There were easily visible bugs on the front grill, hood and windshield. Dirt dust and road film in all the door frames. Dust on the dash and center console. Of course someone would fix it. A woman went around with a spray bottle and a rag as I pointed to the obvious. I eventually gave up and told her to quit. I will not be back, and DO NOT recommend this place to anyone. read more

My car was evolved in a concrete construction accident. Took my SUV to Arbor car wash to see if they would be able to help me out with the removal. Damon did a quick hand wash and determined it wasn't something he felt comfortable with doing. He called around to some local body shops for me and referred me to a guy who is the specialist in these types of incidents. Damon was so great. He was extremely honest and very helpful. They even vacuumed and washed my car for me at no charge. I will forever be a life long customer for future detailing. Pulled up early am looking for a shampoo machine to take care of a few kid stains on the back seat after no luck with the nearby self serve car washes. They did not have a machine available for the public but as they werent busy yet they took care of the spots as well as the entire back row at a very reasonable price. Great people!! UnBelieveable. Long time customer of Arbor Car Wash Hand detailing. Came in today to find that this is now "The Wash Shop". I came in at 1415 hrs to get my truck (F450) hand wash and wax and detailed. I was told they were not taking anymore detail work for the day. Previously, I was told they stop taking detail work at 1500 hrs. Once I was told no detail work after 1430 hrs. So I had to persuade the manager to take my truck in for detail (hand wax) service. For which the service has increased by $15, since my June hand wax. So I met the new manager and he was professional and courteous. However, when I went to check on my truck, it was parked at the rear of the car wash, parked in the FULL hot Texas sun, and they were hand waxing my truck. Not even parked in the shade. Now I admit to not being a rocket-scientist, but pretty much everyone knows that you DO NOT wax your vehicle in direct sunlight, especially when the ambient temperature is over 100 degrees (Austin, Tx). When I asked the manager, he said it was okay. So, I looked it up on the internet to show the manager WHY you don't wax your vehicle on a very HOT day, in direct sunlight. After a lengthy discussion he did move my truck to a shaded location. I will no longer be using "The Wash Shop", although I have been a faithful customer for over a decade. John read more

I do not know how these people stay in business. I only go here when I am desperate for a "wash" and do not have the time to go elsewhere. To say they give a "wash and dry" is a stretch because they only get some of the dirt off and I always have to borrow a rag to dry my car and clean the spots that were missed because they do such a poor job. Experienced on April 13: I have a monthly plan for my Tesla Model X for many months. The location at Braker lane was out of operation due to a powerline issue, so they suggested that I go to this Jollyville road location. When I called the Jollyville office, Michelle picked up the phone and put me on hold for 10 minutes. By that time I had reached their location. I told Michelle that I am on a monthly plan and wanted to get the car washed since the Braker location was out of service. She asked me to pay for it because they only do handwash at this location. I explained her that I am already on plan and I didn't see why I had to pay when their other location was out of service. Instead of taking care of loyal customers, she insisted that I pay additional money. At one point, she even asked me to take the car to Guadalupe location which is in downtown 15 miles away..... Seriously? I requested that she speaking her manager to share my request, but she refused to check with her manager. At this point, it was a matter of principal for me, so I asked her to cancel my monthly plan. To my surprise, she wouldn't do that either and asked that I go back to the Jollyville location to cancel the plan. Unbelievably bad customer service and her tone was getting disrespectful and rude. When I called the Braker Location, their phones were down. So now, I couldn't get the car wash that comes with my monthly plan for which I have been paying for every month AND I couldn't cancel the plan because Michelle refuse to do that. At this point, I asked Michelle for David's (the owner) direct contact number. Well, she wouldn't provide that either. Not only I have had a bad taste about the customer service at Jollyville location, but I also feel that they are price gouging customers when their own locations are out of service. Very disappointing customer service and I will be sharing this incident with all my friends and neighbors in my community in Great Hills. Adding more information on 4.15.21 to address David's reply below: - No, David, you are misinformed. Michelle or the Jollyville location did NOT do any car wash or tires as you indicated below. I returned home WITHOUT a wash. Just wanted to let you know because your below reply is inaccurate. - I understand that your phones were not working. The Great hills location was unable to do car wash which is why your staff asked me to go to Jollyville location. - As you said below, this was not a normal situation with your great hills location out of operation. Hence your staff should have focused on taking care of a loyal customer instead of asking for money or turning them away. The incident tells about the customer service (or lack thereof) at your Jollyville location. Please note that this is not about your service/staff at Great Hills location which is generally good. - If this was my business, I would not even blink about taking care about my loyal customers on a monthly plan, particularly when your own staff is asking the customer to go around town to get the entitled service rendered. So my car needed a wash bad. I usually go to Green Island because I know the owner. Found out they were bought out by Arbor. So I decided to give them a chance. Horrible. I mean just ...horrible. So we pull up we tell the guy what we want (which was the "Ben's special") and he says it will be "15-20" minutes. Which I expected cause it SUPPOSED to include almost everything. So we pay and sit down for a minute of two. Then decide to go watch the cars go thru the tunnel. Never saw mine go thru. Looked around for about 5 minutes. Never saw it get wiped down or anything. Finally, we see it parked in a parking spot. So we walk over and see shit still all over my car. Water marks still on my rims, windshield. Dust still all over my dash. Water still on my trunk. I had some sort of "gunk" on my window. Still there. Like WHAT THE ACTUAL EFF? I paid a decent amount of money for you to just "wipe" it down and stick it in a parking spot? I tell the receptionist what happened and I'm pissed. She grabs her manager and I explain what I found. He acts like this has happened before. I told him we expected to wait 20 minutes and he tried telling me, "well if it's not busy it will go faster." No...no..I worked at GREEN ISLAND. If you put in half of the effort they ever did the FIRST time, we wouldn't be in this situation. He offered to take it back for them to redo it. He personally cleaned my rims and wiped down everything and apologized. Offered me a free "Ben's special" next time I come and begged me to come back. I'm sorry...first we are moving. So no. Two, I wouldn't recommend your service to anyone. It's unexceptable. We got home and still found dust all over my dash. Rims still dirty. Doors are apparently not included in the wipe down. We brought in my husband's car which was coated in a layer of sawdust from his job. I mean, his car was in bad shape. Like, embarrassed to put other people in it. They worked on his car for 2.5 hours (about 45 minutes longer than the estimate). We paid $130 for a full detail and it was worth every penny! If I had know it was going to be this impressive, I would have taken before pictures. The before looked like a vacuum bag had exploded in the car. Now, it is spotless! Seriously. Every surface is shiny, the once gray fabrics are black again, and the sticky residue in the cup holders is gone. I am beyond impressed. I don't know each individual service I got for this price but I knew I got at least an external wash and vacuum. Outside wash was meh at best. Inside was worse. Doesn't look like they even tried. I have you several different places quite regularly to get my car washed and Arbor car wash is by far the best. Do they always get it right? Now. But when a mistake does happen they are very apologetic and rushed year car to detail any places you see that need to be fixed. With having such a high volume they seemed to move traffic through their very thoughts said there's hardly a long wait even when a looks really busy. Green Island is now Arbor Car Wash. I have come here about once a month or so for several years. I usually get a wash that is $26-36 and includes a wipe down of the interior. In the past I have generally asked that the inside be wiped down with glass cleaner instead of vinyl/armor all since I don't like the oily finish on my black interior/smell in the summer. Today I was told they only now wipe down the dashboard not the door/other parts. If I wanted that it would be a $64.95 detail now that arbor wash purchased them. Also she would have to check with management if they could use glass cleaner instead of vinyl cleaner (really glass cleaner is cheaper than armor all!). Her service was very nice and she explained the old a la carte services were no longer available. Needless to say this combined with my husband's last terrible detail I am done. Very disappointed - closed 20 minutes before posted closing time! Your website says this hand wash Research location is open until 6:00, but on the phone, your employee says it's really 5:00. But it's not really 5:00 either, is it? I just pulled up today at 4:42 pm, thinking you closed at 5:00, and your sign was already up telling people you're closed for the day - 18 minutes BEFORE your scheduled time, but you still had cars in the intake line. Your employee on site said - "yeah, sometimes the manager closes early if we're busy." Really? Your customers know you close at 5:00, and they are making sure they get there by that time. They don't know if you're busy or not. Perhaps your website should say "we close somewhere kinda around 5:00, unless it's March Madness and we want to get home and watch basketball...then we'll close whenever we feel like it and turn away customers that have been here numerous times before. - even if it's almost 20 minutes before scheduled closing time." Really crappy customer service! If you say you're open until 5:00, you should not be turning away customers at 4:42. If you want to turn customers away at 4:42, then post online that you close at 4:30 or 4:40 so customers can plan ahead. read more
