Paid for $90 for a mini detail, I feel like I get a better deal with an actual hand wax at Craig Road Car wash for $50. Highly unprofessional and inconsiderate service. We needed 4 cars washed and Halos Detailing replied. Leonel, the owner, replied with a quote and listed his next availability was Monday at 4. Monday at 4:06 he messages me on Yelp saying he will not be coming because he forgot it was Labor Day. Yeah.... ok. My mother, father, sister and myself all coordinated to meet at one location to get our cars washed; we took time from our Labor Day to accommodate HIS chosen day and time of service, only to be duped. Very disappointed. My family needed multiple cars washed, so we contacted Halos Detailing. Leonel replied with pricing and told us his next day/ time of availability. We were super excited and ready to tip! We love supporting small businesses. 6 minutes after the service was scheduled for, the day and time HE chose, he messaged us saying he forgot it was Labor Day and would need to reschedule. Update: I give Leo a lot of credit. He's humble and honest....qualities that are hard to find with business owners nowadays. After my initial detail, he and I were in touch. Of course, I was quite frustrated given my experience. What I respect is that he remained polite and professional, didn't lose his cool or become defensive. His goal was to make it right. He made time to redo the detail. This time around my seats weren't sopping wet from being cleaned, it was slightly damp which is normal. This alone was a relief. The finished product exceeded my expectations, truly he went above and beyond what was necessary! After inspecting my car, he talked me through what he did, what was used, things that couldn't come out on the fabric etc. He also took the time to explain the different types of details offered and the length of time each takes - which I found to be very helpful. Not all places are the same in the products and services offered. Understanding the differences also help you to understand what to expect - what is reasonable and what is not. It was a learning lesson for me not to assume. There was a misunderstanding and he underquoted me for the condition my car was in. He gave me the price of a basic detail when I should have been charged for a superior detail. I highly recommend Leo and his crew and will be sure to use them again. Just be sure to be forthcoming with the condition, what services you need, ask questions if you're unsure and inspect the car giving feedback on the spot if something isn't right....all of this will help prevent confusion and ensure a great experience. ******** I was really excited about trying Halo Detailing based on the Yelp reviews. Sadly though, my experience didn't live up to the hype. Let me start by saying Miguel is very friendly and personable. That's not the issue though. The problem is the attention to detail. My car was in huge need of cleaning! I drive with the windows down, have a big dog, and use this vehicle for the beach, the mountains, helping friends move etc. and having been working crazy, long hours for the last 2 years, the care of the interior of my car has fallen by the wayside. So I was really looking forward to spending the money for a deep, overdue clean. The initial company I wanted to try was booked through the end of the month so I found Halo and they were able to fit me in the same day which was great. I asked for the same services equivalent to a diamond or platinum detail at most other places. This service should take 3-5 hours. Leo quoted me $189 then I asked for headlight restoration so the total was $240. Miguel and crew got here at 4 pm and were finished before 5:30pm. That threw me a bit. But I was never quoted a time so I let it go. When they initially started cleaning they kept talking about how it was going to get dark soon. Well, they should probably consider that when booking appointments and as much as being accommodating is appreciated, not rush to fit a service in...***note I asked for service today not yesterday. I turned on the garage light and let them work in there thinking it would help and they would do a good job with better lighting. When Miguel let me know they were done, he insisted I pay cash when that wasn't mentioned when booking and when their site says they accept all major credit cards. That was a turnoff. Finally, he entered my card manually. And I even tipped them cash. He was a little scattered at the end - misplaced my credit card and key but ultimately found it. Miguel was really excited about showing me video of the progress and having me look at the water from the cleaner, etc. that's great and I appreciate that. What I don't appreciate is them being distracted with all of that and not detailing the car. Because the seats were sopping wet, they seemed to be in a rush and it was dark out, etc - I figured I could give it a thorough look through this morning. Before he left, he happily and excited asked if everything is perfect. I simply thanked him and said I'll look through the car when it's light out. Later he texted me asking me to please review them on Yelp. This morning I checked the car and the seats are still slightly damp and this is after the car being outside with the windows down from 5:30 pm. The interior was not vacuumed or cleaned well. Jams and seatbelts were not done well and/or not touched. The wheels were not cleaned. All of which I will need to do myself now which defeats the purpose of shelling out the money for the service to be done. read more

So I started my search asking around friends and family for locations they like to take their vehicles to get detailed/washed. Most were far from my area of residence so I jumped on yelp to get a list of mobile washes. Halos Detailing was at the top of that list so I gave them a call. Right the the start I was helped out and appointment set. They arrived about 10mins earlier than the start time of my appointment. Miguel introduced himself and went through what he would be doing. He got started right away and took his time in areas that needed more care. Miguel took care of my vehicle as if it were his own, paying close attention to detail and fixing water marks that were left behind. Interior of the vehicle matched the job that he did on the outside. He took great care of the leather interior, wiping down every surface. It was also a great time getting to know Miguel as he was able to keep up with a conversation and going a great job. I wish I was able to take before and after pictures! My baby, who we'll call Rosso, was hand-washed since the day I got her. Having recently moved and having a very busy schedule, I had not been able to go to my usual car wash. She was in desperate need for a wash so I made a trip to a drive through car wash... biggest mistake ever. Afterwards, I noticed micro scratches and dried calcium deposits in her beautiful red tri-coat paint. No worries though, Halos to the rescue! I scheduled an appointment the same day. I made my appointment for 6pm. They woke me up at 6am. They went ahead and cleaned my car while I went back to bed. Later in the day I went to drive my car. I realized then that they did not clean my rear view mirror or my visors. They also did a poor job vacuuming under my seats. I'll give them credit for getting the stains out of my seats, but my wheels were still dirty too. Texted the owner about my experience and haven't received a text back. I've tried many of the car wash+handwash combo places here in town & I'm almost never satisfied (admittedly, I'm very OCD). I always end up going the DIY route, but that has its own annoyances. And obvi, I put it off forever, LOL. First off, these guys are really, really nice & they work hard. They got back to me quickly, fit in our 2 cars for the next day, and had reasonable prices. I had to remove a star, because it REALLY bothered me that it was rudely pointed out to me that my car was "dirty" (yeah, no s#!t), as if he was doing me some kind of favor or discount. He didn't know I had already planned to tip them both extra on top of extra, because I know it was extra work. I guess some people take that for granted, but I don't. Our experience with this company was great. Communication was quick and they took care of us. I called in the afternoon on a Sunday and they were in front of my house later that evening. I opted for the regular wash for both our vehicles and we could tell they were detail oriented and spent time making sure the job was done right. They were very friendly from the time I initially called through the entire service. All of these points as well as the attention to detail on our vehicles is the reason for a 5 star review.
