I've been a loyal customer of Mr. Carwash on FM1825 for 6 years. I come once a month, and so does my wife. Depending on how dirty the car is (or my mood, let's be honest), I'll go with the basic or basic plus. One thing that's consistent? The sales pitch for their unlimited monthly plan. It's like they're trying to sell me timeshares or something. Every. Single. Time. While I don't wash my car enough to justify paying per car for a plan I don't need, I politely let the salesperson do their thing because, hey, I'm nice like that. But here's where the experience went south: I specifically asked for the basic wash, but the salesperson apparently decided I deserved more and selected basic plus. Oh, and when she asked about the tip, I said $1--she somehow heard $2. Cool. After vacuuming my car, I thought, "Wait, was I just swindled at the carwash?" So, I went in to chat with the manager. You know, because I figured a business that's been happily taking my money for years might care about overcharging customers. Turns out, no. First, I confirmed that the basic wash should have been $8. I was charged $14. Even with taxes and a $1 tip, the math (see: Texas taxes) just doesn't add up. When I mentioned this to the manager, he smirked--because nothing says 'we care about our customers' like a condescending grin. So here's the deal: If I can't trust this place to charge me correctly for a basic wash, how can I trust them with their "premium" services? It's actions like this that sink businesses. Will anything change? Probably not. But if it does, I'll be fair and post a follow-up. Until then, beware--they'll nickel and dime you, and if you're not paying attention, they'll get away with it. This car wash did over $9000 in damage to my car due to equipment failing and denting the side of my Mercedes. While they admitted it was their fault they refused to cover all of the damage. Then to top it off they did not authorize a rental. We have been fighting this for almost two years. I canceled all my monthly passes on all three of my cars. This review is for the Pflugerville location bc I only go through the Round Rock location for a wash. They charge extra for vacuuming & wipe off. I can do that myself; actually prefer to. The line always moves pretty rapidly when there is a line. Most times there's not. Depending on what day you go & the time (recommend weekdays after 9 am) it's real easy to get an open bay to vacuum. The hoses are well maintained & picks up dirt excellently. The grounds are kept clean also. If there's a concern, simply wave at one of the attendants & they will quickly assist you. With the monthly plan you can wash up to twice a day if needed. I definitely get my moneys worth. I go through at least 3-4 times a week. Plan pays for itself that way. read more

Since Mr. Car wash purchased this location it has slowly been going downhill. The last straw is that they removed all of the shade from the vacuum area! Why!? They used to have shade and they removed it. This is TEXAS and it's hot and sunny all the time. Why would they remove shade? It's just kind blowing. They are headquartered in Tucson. Rub-a-dub for your car. Misters is a good value bc they have monthly memberships. I use their $29.99/month unlimited membership and this location has free vacuums. Great thing about the membership is they're nationwide. I've used other locations in FL when I drove there. Certain locations will have self service vacuums like the Wells Branch one, others won't. Pro tip: with the membership, you can add on detail/vacuum for $10 during the particular visit, especially if they don't have self service vacuums. I'll do this when my car needs a good wipe down inside out (hand dry) + air freshener scent at their Research and Round Rock location. Don't forget to tip them if you're using their detailing service! These guys do a great job. If you like to keep your car shiny, Mister's don't disappoint. Please do not come to this location, seriously every recent review is true. Management here needs to be evaluated and shifted because this location's business is going down due to so many factors. How can a business charge me $29.99 for an unlimited membership but at the location my sticker doesn't work. Then the staff wants to charge me again for a wash without fixing the problem. I have had a membership for a few months now. I live really close so the location is convenient. The car wash gets really busy in the afternoon and evenings and is busy even in the mornings but not as much. The membership is a good value but I noticed issues with the quality of wash a few times and once I noticed a paint chip. This morning I went about 9:30 am and it was busy. I had to edit only a few minutes to vacuum so that wasn't bad. I did see 4 cars enter from the exit only entrance to use the free vacuums initially taking up lanes to vacuum from paying customers. My car was still dirty. I get the 19.99 membership so I expect my tires not to be super clean but the car itself still had a lot of dirt on it. And also I have scratches now on my car. I checked my vehicle before I left my house this morning and went straight to wash it as it hadn't been washed in over a week. I thoroughly looked at my car. I know these scratches weren't there before. I immediately cancelled my membership. I haven't washed my car anywhere else in 4 months. Now I have to find a detailer of some kind to get the scratches out. $19.99 unlimited is not bad at all but look at your car to ensure this car wash isn't scratching your car. read more

They do a good job. I pay a little more here I think than a few others I've tried but I'm okay with that when they do a good job, and they have, every time. The drive-thru "barn" does a better than average job of cleaning the outside. Once done and you pull around to the cleaning/detailing area is where it really matters. Usually young people who seem to really want to get it done right. I always get the inside cleaned and vacuumed and I can't say I've ever been disappointed. They were giving away free car washes when they first opened and also discounted monthly membership plans so I got a platinum wash plan for $12.99. They were so hectic that I am probably going to update this review after going a few times, but they get your car shiny including the tires. My honey got his truck washed as well and they can never get his tires that clean in these types of car washes. They have standard vacuum yourself area and also perform detailing services with prices that look not too bad. I know Pflugerville doesn't need yet another car wash, but this one is on the way home from work and for $12.99 a month for unlimited platinum washes...can't beat it I say. read more

Vacuums there suck, and not in a good way. The suction power is horrible. Half of the hoses were so weak they were unusable. They would have barely picked up and held a Kleenex l. The others were usable but inadequate to do a thorough job. I had to make probably 4-5 more passes over the same area than what was required when it was under the prior ownership. Even then I didn't get the resilys I wanted. Only about 1/4 of the bays were filled so it's not like the vacuum system was under stress. The bay I was in was in the middle 1/3 of the lineup. The quality of the exterior wash was average. Looked ok unless you inspected in detail. It's a shame the quality has deteriorated so dramatically. I was threatened to have the police called on me simply because I would not move forward in the line which would cause me to be very close behind the car in front of me. The guy said I was blocking traffic but I couldn't move because the cars in front of me were not moving. They told me to leave or they would call the police. Excellent Service!!!! My Jeep was filthy and had a TON of bugs on the front. We went through the wash and we had two employees come up to us to ensure we were satisfied with our wash. While we were happy, they weren't satisfied. So they had us run through the wash again to get all of the bugs off and gave us a complimentary platinum wash. They truly went above and beyond and I could not be happier with my wash and the amazing customer service from all the employees involved. We will absolutely be back! read more

I recently bought a new car and I wanted to be able to keep it clean on a regular basis. When I heard about the unlimited wash plan that this place has I jumped on board with it immediately. I have been using the platinum wash plan (the highest grade wash without detailing) and I have been through the wash 4 times now. Unfortunately, every time I have been through it only looks like my car has gotten rained on and not actually been through a wash. First of all, props to the men working in the cold weather. They were all really nice and friendly. Another plus is that the waiting room and bathroom is super clean. The car wash made my car smell amazing and they had plenty of options available. The only thing that I didn't like was that the inside of my windshield had streaks on the inside which is not really okay what with me getting the interior clean for $35. Plus on the outside there is still some stains from pollen or bird feces, but that's to be expected cause it's just like a typical drive they car wash. Would totally give 5 stars if the price wasn't so high. It was nice cause I needed the clean out, but for that price, I won't be going again. read more

I remember last year when they were building The Car Wash Barn. I actually remember thinking the idea was a bit corny and comical. I mean, come on!....I see this huge bright red barn being constructed with this old-fashion theme along with cute cartoon-ish cows painted about. I saw they had some pretty cool promo's going on, but I was drawn to the "Monthly" plans where you pay a set price (Starting at $19.99/mos) and you get UNLIMITED washes! Maaaan, The Car Wash Barn sure caught me at my most vulnerable time LOL. So I sign up and have been coming regularly ever since! Like any establishment, there are pro's and cons but I feel the pro's outweigh the cons. I like the fast and convenient service, the powerful Vacuums on each side, and especially the location. I dislike the amount of young disengaged employees, the small amount of under-powered or broken vacuums and especially the underwhelming power dry blowers (it never completely dries the car). I had actually went to their Web Site when I was considering purchasing one of the monthly plans when I stumbled upon a section where you could leave a note to management. SO I took the opportunity to write about how cool I thought the idea was (hmm.. singing a different tune now are we?! lol) put that my only complaint was the Blow dryers. I even provided a recommendation or remedy to the issue but I guess it fell on deaf ears (or blind eyes?!) because no one ever responded. Although a reply would have been cool, I honestly wasn't expecting one. I would have just been cool with a thank you for contacting us generic message. Anyway, no 5 Stars because of that. For roughly $100 you can get a really deep interior and exterior clean. My SUV was in rough shape! Grimy build up on the cup holders and every crevice. My carpets had very OLD stains that I thought would never be removed. From start to finish, it only took 45-60 minutes. When I got in my car after they deep cleaned it, I could not believe it! I would rate 5 stars, however they did miss some areas that I had to take care of myself. I feel like after paying $100, you should not have to touch it. The other reason this spot does not get 5 stars is, the staff. They do a good job, but they are not friendly by any means. Asking them questions was like pulling teeth. There were about 10 teenagers working and maybe 2 seemed like they took pride in their jobs. The rest acted like they absolutely hated their lives. From handing your keys off to stepping back into your car off the red cloth, you're taken care of. Had to give those guys a generous tip just because they did such a great job. I'd like to give a 5 star review for outside wash quality, value, and customer service. I drive a 3/4 ton full sized pickup. I've been driving all over East Texas and into Louisiana and you can imagine the unfortunate massacre of bugs on my windshield and front end. Doesn't help that these trucks plow through everything (as in not aerodynamic). Decided to drop in and try this place out. Got the full service outside wash including bug clean (spray for an extra $3). Total I think was $18 for wash, tires, rainx, hot carnuba wax. An awesome perk at the end is the free vacuum use with that service (they ask you limit its use to 10min to accomodate other customers). The vacuum worked amazing btw, very strong and placed on both sides so you don't have to fight the tubing all over your car. The was was great also, truck came out squeaky clean and white again. Only catch was it missed some of the bugs. Here's where the service kicks in. Brought it back the next day since I was busy and Ian (I think he's the manager) patiently listened to my issue about having to pay extra for a bug wash that didn't take off all the bugs. He offered to run me through again and told me in the future to make sure and let them know if something doesn't clean off completely and they will take care of it at the detail station or with another run through. We went through the was again and unfortunately there were still some marks. I pulled into a bay and Ian personally cleaned the rest of my windshield off for me. If that's not good service, I don't know what is. They've earned my business, that's for sure. I only have one con. I think the oil they use on the tires spray's out a bit on the side when you drive off. I've noticed that both times I arrived at the house with black spray on the lower sides of my truck. It's mostly on the passenger side. A bit on annoying to see on an otherwise clean white truck, and I'll have to see if it's directly attributed to the wash. I would deduct one star for that, but honestly everything looked intact when I came out of the wash and I notice this when I get home, so I'll keep it a five star. Just something to look out for. It's also likely to be more prominent on trucks. read more

Went in the wash with my mirrors and wiper blades intact, came out with a broken driver side mirror and a broken wiper. Eddie their assistant manager called me that because there was "some scratches on the mirror holder" they've decided it was a prior damage. Came out of that stupid machine with my mirror shattered and dangling. Fool didn't even talk about my godamn wiper that was found in their machine. Now I'm left with $800 worth of damages to my Lincoln MKX. These idiots claimed to have cameras to review the incident but did not. Wash your car here at your own risk. I want to take away one star because the lack of visible pricing is confusing, but I was so satisfied with the wash job I will leave it. I'll also say the person with the one star review isn't being honest. My truck is just as large as his and I had zero issues. Our Tahoe was nasty..and I mean "not washed since last July nasty". Seriously, it had been one year..I know this because the truck was clean when we bought it and never again! So yea..it was nasty. I was also worried because we have a sunroof and some extra trim pieces. We had the dog in the truck, I would not recommend that as my ears are destroyed by his frantic barking...but what I can recommend is this car wash. We spent a measly $8.00 and the truck is shiny as brand new. There were some spots on the rims, but for $8.00 I can't complain. We did not buy the $12.00 package which supposedly includes the rims, so I won't count off for that. Our sunroof was fine, all the trim pieces were not damaged as well. Overall I could not be happier and will probably get the monthly pass so the poor Tahoe doesn't have to go a year between baths. read more

These guys did an awesome job, dusted it wiped it down armor and made it look like new or $30 what a bargain. Also, I had an issue with something they did (in an interior cleaning job) so I called and the guy told me I could bring it back, they'd fix the mistake and I could choose the package I wanted, on them... The customer service is not all that good. The workers there I just don't know what to say about them. The manager Marcus that they have there is very rude. I was speaking with the so call manager and he didn't like what I was saying so he walked off on me. I will never go there and wash my car again. I had a horrible experience today. I paid roughly 100$ to get my car detailed and i was not happy with it. I still want to go back and complain. Looks like they just vacuumed and thats it. They didnt vacuum under the seats and didnt wipe down the cup holders or crevises. I opened the truck and it doesnt look vacuumed either. My husband has to go in and redue it himself.
