We just left and are Really disappointed with our experience at Barton Springs Car Wash. We brought the car in for a full detail and ran into problems at every step. 1. They broke something in the car. 2. The detail itself was sloppy -- half the marks inside and out were still there when we picked it up, despite specifically asking for a thorough job. 3. Their posted price inside the building is $165. They charged us $220 with no explanation for the upcharge. 4. They quoted 2 hours. It took 3. Won't be returning. I came in for the first time today and let me say, this place is so customer focused. They are so kind and go above and beyond. They were quick but effective. I gave this place a second chance despite a disappointing first visit and their 3-star Yelp rating, but unfortunately it was worse this time around.... I paid for the express wash with a mini interior detail, and after waiting an hour and a half, the job was still extremely poor. They completely missed cleaning my trunk until I pointed it out, there were leaves in the crevices and dirt lining the entire area. Inside, there were large popcorn kernels and crumbs left on the seats, making it clear the vacuuming wasn't done thoroughly (if at all on the seats). They did further clean everything that I pointed out, but if I hadn't caught it they would have been happy to have me drive off with a very dirty car. If you go here, make sure to check all doors, seats, and especially the trunk before leaving. It felt careless, inefficient, and not worth the time or money. You are better off driving further outside Austin- you will spend way less time and leave with a much better job. read more

I came here a couple of months ago after moving to Austin, when I pulled in, they were super busy and I couldn't see where the prices were located so I asked the guy who came up to my car about the prices and he acted like I was inconveniencing him with my simple question and gave me a bunch of attitude. The guy is a man child. Then I sit in the lobby for 2 hours and it turns out my car had already been done an hour ago and no one told me. I had to go up and ask. I did a poor job of paying attention to their menu of prices when I drove up. It was easier to chat with the guy who came to my window. He looked over the car and explained I wanted Full Detail "lite" or something like that. It did not include shampooing the mats which I didn't want done anyway. Then he handed me a receipt that had $150 written on it. For that amount I was expecting the full shebang. It was nearly 1.5 hours later that I got my vehicle, so they certainly had the TIME to do a thorough job. The navigation console area/screen looked like it had not been touched. There are splashes on the screen that were there when I brought it in. Also in a photo you can see where I took my finger and rubbed the dirt away from the console. Obviously never cleaned. See photos. There was cleaning liquid spilled onto the Lower console area. See photo. The mat in the way back wasn't cleaned! It had residue from bags of crushed granite. If I could give zero stars, I would. This car wash not only totaled my car through blatant negligence but also caused me weeks of chaos, financial loss, and mental stress. The whole situation was surreal, and not in a good way. While cleaning my car, staff removed my floor mats and put them back soaking wet and unsecured--they didn't even bother to lock them into place. When an employee got in to move the car, the wet mat slipped under the gas pedal, causing the car to lurch forward uncontrollably. My car crashed into a curb, wrapped around a blue metal fence, and smashed into a palm tree, eventually getting wedged under the fence. Here's where things got even more absurd: the employee who crashed my car ran off, disappearing from the scene. Meanwhile, the manager--against my explicit wishes--began pushing on my car, trying to force it off the fence. Why? Because the crash was clearly visible from a major intersection and they wanted to hide it from the public. They insisted on moving my totaled car "to the back" to avoid bad optics, treating it more like an inconvenience to their image than a devastating accident for their customer. I called the police, but since I was on private property and no one was injured, they couldn't come. When I asked for their insurance information, the manager couldn't provide it. I spent over a week chasing them down just to get the most basic information I needed to start dealing with the wreck they caused. And despite never completing the wash (obviously), they couldn't even refund the money I paid. The whole experience was a logistical nightmare. I was left without a car, under serious stress, and ultimately had to spend over $4,000 out of pocket to replace it--all because of a car wash. I never imagined a routine errand could turn into this level of disruption and damage. If you value your time, money, and peace of mind, stay far away from this place read more

The singular night of thunderstorm this past weekend really dirtied up our car! We came to the Barton Springs Car Wash on a Monday afternoon and it took about 2 hours. Not the worst considering everyone else had the same idea - there were about 15 cars in front of us so we were prepared to wait. The car wash is walking distance from a couple bars and restaurants. We just walked to the Barton Springs Saloon and watched our car slowly make it through the queue as we had a couple drinks. It was one of the more enjoyable waits I've experienced and I'm ridiculously impatient lol. The customer service was very good, they've got a whole bunch of candy & drinks in the waiting area too! For $45 This car wash is like a step above an automatic gas station car wash and a step and a half below a more expensive detail. I'd recommend this is you're on a budget. We saw a few areas of the car they missed but nothing worth complaining about. I'd return again! read more

I had written it prior to service being completed with the expectation of good service. My mistake. They did not provide the full service promised. For interior and exterior they charged $50. There was a large sticky spot I was specifically going in for a detail for on my passenger seat and it was completely ignored and wiped around. They did not clean the trunk as asked (they wont do the trunk unless you ask) and put all my personal items on top of the dirt and debris they ignored in the back seat. The employees are happy and motivated to work. I've never witnessed anything like it. I had no less than 6 ppl finishing my navigator because the others had finished their respective cars. If you want to pay $60 plus for a $15-$20 car wash then come here. It seems like people just come here because it's busy, however not because the quality of service is great. I took my car here a little over a month ago and meant to write a review sooner. I paid ~$60 to have my crossover SUV to be washed and cleaned inside and out. The outside was fine, however they barely did anything with the inside. It was slightly vacuumed, there were still some debris, and the seats and consoles seemed like they were just briefly wiled with a towel because there were still some stains left behind. I could have done the job myself had I known they were barely going to do anything. It's ridiculous to pay $60 for a below mediocre job. I've taken my car to other washes and paid about the same price, and had my car almost detailed inside and out. Needless to say, I'm never coming back. When I arrived to pick up my car, the cashier said that she "closed the register" so I would need to pay with Cash or Venmo. I agreed to venmo even tho I had planned to use my credit card and the cashier showed me her personal Venmo account, not even the business. Something is off with this place, avoid it!! The work, sub par. Greasy all purpose protectant all over that looks streaky and is now on my arms and cloths. Dirt around the controls, streaks on all the displays, and a poor vacuum job. Just moved down the road and was excited to try out this car wash since it's so close to us. We have a BMW X5 and paid for a basic wash. We were charged for a large suv (3 rows) / truck instead of midsize. Unfortunately, that wasn't the only bad part. We arrived at 2:35pm on a Saturday and paid at 2:38pm. There were 4 vehicles in front of us and our vehicle didn't even make it to the wipe down area y til 3:25. I've been to many of these types of car wash locations across multiple states and this is by far and away the SLOWEST location I've ever been to. I won't be returning, which is a shame considering the close proximity to our home. Finally, when we got the vehicle back at 3:32pm (almost an hour later) the dashboard had not even been touched - still having the dust and pet hair on it that we showed up with. WORST CAR WASH EVER! I went in for an interior detail which is listed as $105. They bumped the price to $235. When asked why, they said, "Condition of the car." !?!?!? My car--2013 Honda--is in good condition and not inordinately dirty. When they returned the car to me, the seats were soaking wet. I aired the car and mats for three days (no rain) and they were still damp. Now I have an unrelenting stink of mold in my car. Barton Springs Car Wash damaged my jeep and would not pay for repairs!! They broke my drivers seat and I could not drive it home. I had to pay to have my jeep towed to to the repair shop. I was without my Jeep for over a week waiting for the parts to come in. I was instructed by the manager, Jay to keep all my receipts and they would happily reimburse me. After my car was repaired I emailed Javier, the General Manager with my receipts totaling over $800. I did not charge for towing since I used my AAA membership, nor did I charge for a rental car. Javier called me to say he would only pay $400 under the table. When I got frustrated and said "No, that is unacceptable" he hung up on me!! I have gone in, emailed them, texted.... But to no avail.
