I have been here when the order has taken 10 min and also when it's been a few minutes. But it's usually not too long. Today I got the Slate Grey Milk tea and subbed organic fresh milk for an addl .70 or so. The drink included boba and grass jelly. It was a black tea and had a great flavor. This Presotea location is in a well sized food plaza in Irvine by the entrance, which is a good spot to put their shop. We only had the option of ordering by kiosk, and there was a wide variety of drinks to choose from. We got the Brown Sugar Fresh Milk as well as a Thai Milk Tea. I don't get drinks like the brown sugar fresh milk often, but it was a nice change of pace. I'm into sweetness in my drinks, and this was the right amount at 120%, granted this is way sweeter than normal, and balanced the, purely just, milk I ordered. The Thai milk tea was a bit different in taste compared to normal. It was good, but not what we expected in a Thai milk tea's taste profile compared to other places. I asked for no orange slices and my sister got black pearls, but they added the slices to my drink yet no black pearls to my sister's. The parking lot can get a bit packed mid-day with the nearby corporate offices, but at night, you're gucci. Mostly I want it to have good flavor (of course), not be too sweet, and want the boba balls to soft. Thankfully, my milk tea met all of this criteria! The location of the place is nice since it was easy to find parking and is neighbored by other small businesses. This is actually how I found it, by visiting other businesses nearby. It's a self-service kiosk like many of the restaurants in this plaza food court. Genmaicha Milk Tea: There was a mix up with this order as I received Japanese Genmaicha Green Tea which has a noticeably different color, but after I notified the cashier, they simply replaced it. I did get a chance to take a sip of the Japanese tea and both were equally as good. The Japanese tea was slightly lighter but still had that refreshing green tea and roasted rice flavor. White Peach Milk Tea: At 50% sweetness, it tasted like Calpico. Thai: Does not taste like the standard drink as it reminds me of Filipino sticky rice, but still yummy. Boba just collapses as soon as you bite into it. Not a bad thing, but I was left with wanting more because halfway through the drink I ran out. It's black tea with creamer, black pearls and crystal boba. $5 as of November 2021. You can pick your ice level and your sweetness level, which is nice. I learned that I like black pearls much more than crystal boba. I believe black pearls are more common in these types of drinks. Texture and taste is better in black pearls in my opinion. Great boba option in Irvine! Located in the Trade Food Hall near the John Wayne airport, this is an easy location to get to with a decent sized parking lot, so parking isn't too difficult to find. I ordered the creme brulee milk tea with boba at 30% sweetness level. The drink came out with super fresh and hot boba which was great, and the drink itself was a nice level of light sweetness! The creme brulee is a little more firm than creme brulee that I've had at other boba places, but has a really soft and smooth texture and is lightly sweet. This drink is a 4/5 for me, and I would definitely come back for it! My partner ordered the white peach oolong tea with boba. We didn't expect the drink to also have lemon in it or lychee jelly topping, so that was a bit of a surprise. Unfortunately both the lemon and the lychee overpowered any peach flavor that might have been the tea, so it mostly tasted like a lemon drink with lychee jelly. This is the first and only fruit tea I've tried so far, so I'm not too sure about how I feel about them, but I may just default to their milk teas or other drinks from now on. I ordered Brown Sugar Creme Brulee using the Ritual app. Had the following issues: 1) They made a mistake on my first order and missed the Brown Sugar. It was literally milk. 2) I informed then about the mistake. Terry acknowledged and apologized for it. They took the wrong drink to their kitchen. They did it correctly the second time but only filled 3/4 of the drink cup. Maybe they were cutting cost and figured since I sipped the first drink that they should reduce the amount or perhaps even reused the same drink and just added the syrup and creme brulee. However, that is still really poor customer service. 3) The Presotea prices were higher in the app then in the local store which is not supposed to be the case, as per Ritual app. read more
