Delicious as always! Restaurant was a bit hectic this time -- service was spotty. We came around 3pm & were seated immediately. Place was fairly empty! So many photos from our many visits Lol
Came in about an hour before closing and unfortunately, the service was pretty much nonexistent. There was absolutely no sense of urgency, and everything moved slow as molasses. We spent a lot of time waiting around and trying to get someone's attention, which was frustrating, especially since the restaurant wasn't particularly busy. On the positive side, the menu is extensive with plenty of options, and the food itself was actually good. I enjoyed what I ordered and could see myself coming back for the food. Unfortunately, the service just wasn't on par with the quality of the menu and food. Hopefully we just caught them on an off day, but the lack of attentiveness really took away from the overall experience.
Good breakfast. Wonderful ambience. If you don't want to wait for a table you can sit at the bar and have your meal there. The breakfast skillet was good, with poached eggs, bacon and sausage, on top of diced potatoes with melted cheese. The kid's burger was fine. The seasoned coated fries were good. The house coffee was too weak. Next time we want to try the Chilaquiles and the Bananas Foster Pancakes.
First time visiting Pradera and came here with my girls to celebrate a birthday! We came on a Sunday and joined the waitlist when we arrived. Our wait was around 45 minutes, but I actually liked that there are plenty of shops nearby, including TJ Maxx, so you can walk around and browse while you wait. Just a heads up, there is no restroom available at the restaurant. Food: The portions here are definitely generous, which makes it a great spot to come with friends or family and share a few dishes. We ordered the pork belly eggs Benedict, chicharrón & guacamole, chilaquiles with chorizo, and birria taquitos. The food was pretty hit or miss for me. The guacamole felt a little under-seasoned and could have used more salt and lime. The pork belly eggs Benedict was also quite salty. My favorites were definitely the birria taquitos and parts of the chilaquiles, which I really enjoyed! Drinks: I got the iced vanilla latte with horchata cold foam, while my friend ordered the horchata matcha and a berry mocktail. The drinks were probably my least favorite part. The horchata matcha was a little too sweet for my taste, and I didn't find the drinks to be anything particularly memorable. The cold foam was also an additional $3, which felt a bit pricey for the amount. Service was pretty standard and our overall experience was pleasant. I'm glad we got to try Pradera for our birthday celebration, but personally, I don't think I'd go out of my way to come back. That said, the generous portions and shareable dishes make it a fun option if you're already in the area.
Brunch with an amazing array of Mexican offerings- delicious! I had a brisket omelette and I want to come here again and again to try the whole menu. I really enjoyed the cafe de olla- just the right amount of sweetness and spice. Service was a little leisurely so don't be in a hurry- just enjoy the vibrant ambiance with colorful murals on the walls and a beautiful light fixture overhead. Parking is easy, as this restaurant is part of a big shopping center. After you eat, explore the Mercado. It's fantastic!
Came here for breakfast, and wow the inside decor is very elegant and the service was top notch. Our server was amazing and he felt so warm/welcoming! The coffee, frappes and the food had so much flavors within the ingredients, and presentation of the food were vibrant and colorful.
I've been here twice now, and had the best experience! First visit: We waited at least 30 minutes to be seated for a party of 2 but the food was worth the wait. - Ahi Tuna Tostada: Delicious and came with a very generous amount of avocado and tuna. It's definitely big enough to share between 2-3 people. My only complaint was that it was very sour/vinegary, more than I personally liked. - Banana Foster Waffles: Delicious combination of flavors. The waffles were thick and on the softer side rather than crispy, but I still really enjoyed them. - Applewood Smoked Brisket Skillet: The brisket was unfortunately pretty dry, but the country potatoes were really good. Second visit: We came at 11:43 AM and were seated about 5 minutes later. This time, I loved everything we ordered! - Breakfast Skillet + Pan-Seared Chicken: Really good. The chicken was much better when eaten with the sauce, which helped bring everything together. - Mazapan French Toast: My favorite menu item so far! I loved the subtle peanut crumble on top, and all the flavors complemented each other really well. The bread was thick and full of flavor. I'll definitely be ordering this again. - Pork Belly Benedict: Loved this and would definitely get it again. The pork belly flavor was SO good and easily the star of the dish. My only wish is that there was a little less fat on the pork belly, but the flavor was really, really good. Overall, my second visit definitely made me want to come back and try more of the menu. I recommend the Mazapan French Toast and Pork Belly Benedict!
Let me start off by saying the entrees were def the peak of this spot! I will take good food over a vibey spot any day! However, there are some things that def could have improved. 1. I order the canasta which can with cookies, conchas, and one diff type of cookie. I expected the conchas to be soft and they were not; they were dry and honestly unappealing. Do not recommend unless maybe you go at the beginning at the beginning of the day. 2. Apparently my meal was going to take an unusual long time to prepare, and instead of asking me before bringing out my partners meal, they brought out all of his food while i waited an extra 10 mins for mine (I ended up switching from the Benedict to Chicharron). Chicharron was so tasty, but I don't quite comprehend why you'd bring out one persons meal instead plating the table all at once. This alone was enough to make me not return. 3. The flavored mimosas were 1/2 juice and 1/2 champagne - def don't recommend ordering, order the champagne with the juice on the side. The aesthetic was solid, nicely decorated and comfy seating. Solid Latin music playing that was reminiscent of my elders music. Giving the food a solid 8/10 but the overall experience was more of a 6/10.
Really nice spot with a great ambiance! The space itself is beautiful and definitely has a nice brunch vibe. Service was okay overall. I tried the Smoked Brisket Benedict, and while the poached eggs and sauce were really good, the brisket itself was a little thin and dry for me. I kind of wish I had gone with the pork belly instead, but overall it was still enjoyable. We also did a bottle of champagne with the Strawberry Hibiscus and Pepino Lime mixers, which was a fun touch and perfect for brunch. Definitely a nice place to check out for the atmosphere, drinks, and a relaxed brunch with friends.
The food was delicious and so well seasoned! I ordered the chilaquiles with carne asada and an horchata, and everything was so good. The horchata really surprised me because it had peanuts in it, which I've never had before, but I loved it! The inside is super cute with beautiful lighting and decorations that give it such a nice atmosphere. Tania was our waitress and she was amazing! She was so sweet, attentive, and treated us so well throughout our visit. Parking can get a little crowded since the restaurant is located in a large shopping center, but overall we had a great experience. I would definitely come back!
delicious delicious I got seated outside, it was peak brunch hour but the wait was only like 10 minutes. We got their tabla campestre to share and it was perfect for two. Their strawberry jamaica drink was also a 10/10. Service was also great!
ORDER banana foster pancakes (5/5) THE BEST!! it was so good, but soso sweet. this truly amazed me. definitely a must try if you visit pradera. flat iron steak chilaquiles (4.5/5) both the green and red salsas were so good, so the chilaquiles was yummyl. we got it with the flat iron steak which costed an additional $10. eggs benedict with asada (3/5) breakfast burrito (3/5) im not the biggest fan of eggs benedict, but the asada was quite dry as well. we ate the burrito last so maybe it didn't taste as good because we were so full, but we didn't like the sausage. overall, the burrito was alright. i wouldn't get it next time. horchata matcha (3.5/5) light matcha flavor, but the horchata foam on top was so yummy. the foam tasted like ice cream! overall, i'd definitely come back and recommend to others! the banana foster is a must :P SERVICE nothing special about the service. the server wasn't overly friendly, but wasn't rude or anything either. AMBIANCE very nice inside! there are also tables outside.
We had an amazing breakfast on a whim. The skillet is so filling it's enough for two people. The coffee is the best and you don't need cream and sugar. Wife got the frap and it taste better than Starbucks. The tres leches pancake was not too sweet and not bland and a perfect amount of fruits. The service is too notch. The ambiance has a Mexican home feel. This is a great place we ran into and will be coming back .
Located outside the Mercado Market, Pradera Brunch has this happening vibe that instantly puts you in weekend mode. Everything we had was vibrant, fresh, and beautifully presented. The ceviche was a standout: bright, citrusy, loaded with flavor, and topped with perfectly ripe avocado. It felt light but deeply satisfying. Everything about to was so aesthetic. The house chips were thick, crisp, and clearly made to scoop generously, which I always appreciate. My friend & I also tried their lattes. We absolutely loved the little cows that peeped out through the mugs. It's the kind of place where you can linger, talk, and actually enjoy your food without feeling rushed. Fresh ingredients, great execution, and a setting that feels both casual and intentional. If you're at the Mercado, Pradera is absolutely worth sitting down for. read more

This is a very busy location, so I would highly recommend reservations. Since it's next door to the Northgate Mercado location, parking can be crazy. It took about 30 min to get sat, but well worth the wait! It is so cute inside, the decor is perfection. The food was amazing as well as the coffees! Steak was so tender and perfectly seasoned. The beans were so good, and I'm not even a big beans person. I will be back for sure! read more
We came here for Saturday brunch! We ordered the mahi mahi ceviche as well as the tabla campestre. They had a really good strawberry drink that was serviced in a plastic bag. We enjoyed everything we ordered and had plenty of leftovers. Interior is well decorated! Parking lot gets busy but we were able to find a spot. Sam was our server and she was great! read more

No wait time, but the inconvenience was that they did not have (3) of the appetizers that they offer in their menu. We ordered and the gal kept coming back saying "sorry we don't have that" second time "sorry we don't have that either" and the third time she herself sent her manager to tell us that they don't have it either . She mentioned she was going to give us the ceviche appetizer on the house due to not being able to serve us the 3 different items we had originally wanted. However when the bill came they charged us for it and we had to bring it up, very uncomfortable. Also they don't sell alcohol and they also don't have a restroom we have to walk into northgate to use theirs .. won't be back read more
This is such a cute brunch spot, and honestly the food was so worth the wait but the service was very, very slow. We came around 12 pm on a Monday and it wasn't even that busy, yet it took forever for our food to come out. That said, once it arrived... wow. The portions are huge. I was stuffed. We had to walk around for almost two hours afterward, and I didn't even eat dinner until 9 pm because I was still so full. The food itself was amazing very fresh, not oily at all, and super satisfying. The pancakes were some of the best I've ever had. The strawberry sauce was unreal: sweet, tart, and somehow creamy? No idea what they put in it, but it was delicious. The strawberries themselves were perfectly sweet too. Service-wise... kind of ehh. There were about 4-5 servers, but only 3 of them were clearly running around nonstop. Our server was super busy and honestly doing her best I totally get that she was probably overworked. Our coffee was supposed to come with milk on the side, but the milk never showed up. At one point we asked another server (who didn't seem very busy) for water and to let our server know we were ready to order. She said she would, but it still took another 10 minutes. It just felt a little strange that some servers were overwhelmed while others weren't, especially since it wasn't crowded. Overall, slow service aside, the food absolutely lived up to the hype. Great portion of food! Food came out freshly made. Service was attentive and kind. I would like to return and try a new dish. Ceviche was perfect. Heads up it is spicy and it was so good. The Buñuelo Pancake was a bit too sweet for my liking. I should have asked for the syrup on the side. Side of potatoes were flavorful. The Birria had too strong of a cinnamon/spices flavor for my liking. I can't remember what it's called but their Coconut Lemonade was AMAZING!!! It was like a coconut lemonade smoothy. read more

I had a great experience at Pradera Brunch! Our server, Sam, was super nice and attentive throughout the whole meal. They checked in on us regularly and made sure we had everything we needed, which made the experience even better. I ordered the wet breakfast burrito and it was absolutely delicious and really flavorful and satisfying. We also shared the mahi mahi nachos, which were amazing and something I'd definitely order again. Overall, the food was great and the service from Sam really stood out. We had brunch with a friend after a workout so we were hungry, when we arrived wait time for two was 30-35 minutes. My friend looked up spots for mimosas, she read they had champagne on the page, but only to find out they don't serve alcohol due to their licenses. Unfortunately they sold zero alcohol so don't recommend coming here if that's what you're looking for. They only have mock tails. At that point instead of a sugary drink I ended up getting orange juice and my friend got a coconut mock tail. The banana pancakes were delicious. Their steak tacos were ordinary. The avocado toast was pretty average too. It's nice for views and photos, it's right next to the Northgate Mercado and has direct access to it. The bill was over $70 for two. read more

We were excited to try this place, the ambiance is pretty fun with colorful animals and decorations around with a unique chandelier covering a good amount of the ceiling, there service was ok nothing amazing, fairly attentive. The food was sub par and a little disappointing. The banana pancakes are raved about and we found them to be way too sweet and not that enjoyable, i got a chilaquiles plate with green and red sauce it was suppose to have eggs and i didn't get any. The flavors were ok, the meat was undercooked for what i asked for, the drink was good but a little steep on price point and when asked if i wanted whip cream or not i didn't expect to be charged for it, that was distasteful. read more

Is just mind blowing, from the time you arrived Jessica made me feel welcome and her recommendations were on spot, the colorful beautiful murals, lighting and decorating sync amazingly with the food. What a great place to stop by for brunch! For two people we got sat pretty fast for a saturday at 11am. Mirta was super tentative and nice. The food came quickly even though they were busy! Chilaquiles (both salsas) were yummy but did not include protein (besides eggs). The Chilorios con papa lacked a little flavor and probably would've been better with salsa. But overall super filling! Spent a lovely morning at Pradera Brunch, attached to Northgate Market. Our server Liz was very knowledgeable and friendly! I ordered the chile relleno Benedict and a cafe de olla. The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful! it's bright and the decor is gorgeous and the whole restaurant is open so it's so bright and welcoming. The food was some of the best we've ever had. Everything looked insane and tasted even better 11/10 for sure. Plz do yourself a favor and order the horchata matcha it was so dang good!!! This place is great I'm only disappointed I didn't try it sooner as a resident of Costa Mesa. I could tell by looking at their relatively exotic menu the chef more than likely knew what they were doing. I ate there for the first time this morning and got the pork belly fried rice. I don't ordinarily eat pork, but that dish sounded delicious and it definitely was. There are many other items I look forward to trying on their breakfast menu. Last but certainly not least their prices are very reasonable which seems extremely rare for quality food these days. I love this brunch place, although they don't have a large selection of vegetarian or pescatarian selections, I have to say it is still one of my favorite places to eat. I come here for the Mahi Mahi tacos. I've also had the chilaquiles and enjoyed it very much. Omg, I love the Banana Foster pancakes, which you can share with 3 other people as it's a 3 stack! I definitely recommend it if you like Banana Foster. I can't wait to take my friends here so I can have another taste of the pancakes. They have a large selection of drinks from fresh juices, specialty non-alcoholics, to frappes. I do like the Green juice here, it's fresh and tasty. I come here often because I find myself craving for the café de olla, which I'm very happy it's refillable. I just tried the Licuados with strawberry and banana, to my surprise is also very good. If you intend to come here, give yourself some time to wait as it is always busy. Patience is a virtue. But if you want to be seated right away, maybe plan ahead. I don't mind sitting at the bar counter, as it's much faster when you are by yourself or have one or two other people with you. Something to think about if you're not picky about where you are seated. This restaurant is connected to Northgate Mercado, which I think is a plus! You can do a little grocery shopping after or just walk around and admire what they have going on. The restrooms are located with in Mercad, just a short walk. Which I don't mind. I like the ambiance in here, the decor is nice and customer relaxing even though can get lots with everyone talking all at once. I can still hear the music and find myself vibing with it. The service is great so far, as I've had excellent service every time I come here. The servers are great and attentive. Thank you to Sam who was my last waitress, and thank you to Mira who was my waitress prior to and recommended the banana foster pancakes. Til next time! =) read more

Food is fire and the drinks are so goood, i got the strawberry matcha and my boyfriend got the gansito frappe with 2 shots of espresso and it hit the spot. our waitress Liz was amazing too she was super attentive and gave us recommendations that made the dishes. Alex was amazing she had great recommendations for the food and drinks, great customer service and was able to provide fast service for my daughter that was starving, if you've got kids you know when a little one gets "hangry" you've gotta feed them asap. Ambiance was joyful and great for anyone who is looking for a clean restaurant this is a perfect spot. Would definitely come back! Thank you Alex for your hospitality. read more

I've always really liked Northgate, and when Pradera first opened, the experience honestly exceeded expectations. The food was flavorful, well-executed, and it felt like something special. The second and third visits were okay, not as strong, but still decent enough to come back. However, this last time was very disappointing. The quality of the food has dropped significantly, especially in taste. It didn't feel like the same restaurant at all. What made it worse is that we ended up not even finishing the food. As someone who works hard for a living, it's frustrating. When you spend money that represents your time and effort, you're expecting at least a good experience in return. Unfortunately, this visit didn't deliver that. I hope you guys take this seriously and do something to bring the food quality back up. read more

Jessica made our brunch experience absolutely amazing! From the moment we sat down, she was warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive. She checked in on us regularly without being overbearing, made great recommendations, and made sure our drinks and food came out perfectly. Her positive attitude and genuine kindness really stood out and made us feel valued as guests. The food at Pradera Brunch was delicious, but Jessica's exceptional service is what made the experience memorable. Food had really good flavor and the portions are big! Parking is very busy and wait time can be long but the bar was open. The restaurant looks very nice inside but they definitely need to work on communication between each other and with customers. read more

Visited VACA for the first time with my sister-in-law and had a great experience from start to finish. The wait was short--about 15 minutes after checking in. I ordered the Pork Belly Abadado tacos and WOW... they literally melted in my mouth. Absolutely delicious! Our server, Liz, was fantastic--fast, friendly, and super accommodating. Came in on sunday April 12th , waited about. 10 minutes to get seated so not bad , one thing I noticed when it came to pay was that they charge for the milk for coffee .. waitress never mentions any extra cost simply says would you like milk with your coffee, which i dont like at all because I only used a bit of milk for my coffee and would really appreciate if we were told before hand that they charge that ridiculous amount read more

The menu doesn't denote vegan options so hard to say if anything's truly prepared separately to avoid animal product contact. There appears to be vegetarian options but I wouldn't say anything is strictly vegan unless call and ask specifically.
Is there a public parking?
Yes, but because it's next door to Mercado Nothgate, it gets full around 10 am.
