Had a great brunch at Pradera! I ordered the chilaquiles with mole sauce, and my husband got the smoked brisket eggs Benedict. Both dishes were delicious, filling, and generously portioned. The food quality was easily a 10/10! There's a waitlist you can join upon arrival, and we waited about 30 minutes. The ambiance was great, with lots of people celebrating birthdays, and the service was friendly and very quick. Overall, a great brunch spot with amazing food. Definitely worth checking out!

Good breakfast. Wonderful ambience. If you don't want to wait for a table you can sit at the bar and have your meal there. The breakfast skillet was good, with poached eggs, bacon and sausage, on top of diced potatoes with melted cheese. The kid's burger was fine. The seasoned coated fries were good. The house coffee was too weak. Next time we want to try the Chilaquiles and the Bananas Foster Pancakes.

Came in about an hour before closing and unfortunately, the service was pretty much nonexistent. There was absolutely no sense of urgency, and everything moved slow as molasses. We spent a lot of time waiting around and trying to get someone's attention, which was frustrating, especially since the restaurant wasn't particularly busy. On the positive side, the menu is extensive with plenty of options, and the food itself was actually good. I enjoyed what I ordered and could see myself coming back for the food. Unfortunately, the service just wasn't on par with the quality of the menu and food. Hopefully we just caught them on an off day, but the lack of attentiveness really took away from the overall experience.

First time visiting Pradera and came here with my girls to celebrate a birthday! We came on a Sunday and joined the waitlist when we arrived. Our wait was around 45 minutes, but I actually liked that there are plenty of shops nearby, including TJ Maxx, so you can walk around and browse while you wait. Just a heads up, there is no restroom available at the restaurant. Food: The portions here are definitely generous, which makes it a great spot to come with friends or family and share a few dishes. We ordered the pork belly eggs Benedict, chicharrón & guacamole, chilaquiles with chorizo, and birria taquitos. The food was pretty hit or miss for me. The guacamole felt a little under-seasoned and could have used more salt and lime. The pork belly eggs Benedict was also quite salty. My favorites were definitely the birria taquitos and parts of the chilaquiles, which I really enjoyed! Drinks: I got the iced vanilla latte with horchata cold foam, while my friend ordered the horchata matcha and a berry mocktail. The drinks were probably my least favorite part. The horchata matcha was a little too sweet for my taste, and I didn't find the drinks to be anything particularly memorable. The cold foam was also an additional $3, which felt a bit pricey for the amount. Service was pretty standard and our overall experience was pleasant. I'm glad we got to try Pradera for our birthday celebration, but personally, I don't think I'd go out of my way to come back. That said, the generous portions and shareable dishes make it a fun option if you're already in the area.

Brunch with an amazing array of Mexican offerings- delicious! I had a brisket omelette and I want to come here again and again to try the whole menu. I really enjoyed the cafe de olla- just the right amount of sweetness and spice. Service was a little leisurely so don't be in a hurry- just enjoy the vibrant ambiance with colorful murals on the walls and a beautiful light fixture overhead. Parking is easy, as this restaurant is part of a big shopping center. After you eat, explore the Mercado. It's fantastic!

Came here for breakfast, and wow the inside decor is very elegant and the service was top notch. Our server was amazing and he felt so warm/welcoming! The coffee, frappes and the food had so much flavors within the ingredients, and presentation of the food were vibrant and colorful.

I've been here twice now, and had the best experience! First visit: We waited at least 30 minutes to be seated for a party of 2 but the food was worth the wait. - Ahi Tuna Tostada: Delicious and came with a very generous amount of avocado and tuna. It's definitely big enough to share between 2-3 people. My only complaint was that it was very sour/vinegary, more than I personally liked. - Banana Foster Waffles: Delicious combination of flavors. The waffles were thick and on the softer side rather than crispy, but I still really enjoyed them. - Applewood Smoked Brisket Skillet: The brisket was unfortunately pretty dry, but the country potatoes were really good. Second visit: We came at 11:43 AM and were seated about 5 minutes later. This time, I loved everything we ordered! - Breakfast Skillet + Pan-Seared Chicken: Really good. The chicken was much better when eaten with the sauce, which helped bring everything together. - Mazapan French Toast: My favorite menu item so far! I loved the subtle peanut crumble on top, and all the flavors complemented each other really well. The bread was thick and full of flavor. I'll definitely be ordering this again. - Pork Belly Benedict: Loved this and would definitely get it again. The pork belly flavor was SO good and easily the star of the dish. My only wish is that there was a little less fat on the pork belly, but the flavor was really, really good. Overall, my second visit definitely made me want to come back and try more of the menu. I recommend the Mazapan French Toast and Pork Belly Benedict!

Let me start off by saying the entrees were def the peak of this spot! I will take good food over a vibey spot any day! However, there are some things that def could have improved. 1. I order the canasta which can with cookies, conchas, and one diff type of cookie. I expected the conchas to be soft and they were not; they were dry and honestly unappealing. Do not recommend unless maybe you go at the beginning at the beginning of the day. 2. Apparently my meal was going to take an unusual long time to prepare, and instead of asking me before bringing out my partners meal, they brought out all of his food while i waited an extra 10 mins for mine (I ended up switching from the Benedict to Chicharron). Chicharron was so tasty, but I don't quite comprehend why you'd bring out one persons meal instead plating the table all at once. This alone was enough to make me not return. 3. The flavored mimosas were 1/2 juice and 1/2 champagne - def don't recommend ordering, order the champagne with the juice on the side. The aesthetic was solid, nicely decorated and comfy seating. Solid Latin music playing that was reminiscent of my elders music. Giving the food a solid 8/10 but the overall experience was more of a 6/10.

The food was delicious and so well seasoned! I ordered the chilaquiles with carne asada and an horchata, and everything was so good. The horchata really surprised me because it had peanuts in it, which I've never had before, but I loved it! The inside is super cute with beautiful lighting and decorations that give it such a nice atmosphere. Tania was our waitress and she was amazing! She was so sweet, attentive, and treated us so well throughout our visit. Parking can get a little crowded since the restaurant is located in a large shopping center, but overall we had a great experience. I would definitely come back!

Really nice spot with a great ambiance! The space itself is beautiful and definitely has a nice brunch vibe. Service was okay overall. I tried the Smoked Brisket Benedict, and while the poached eggs and sauce were really good, the brisket itself was a little thin and dry for me. I kind of wish I had gone with the pork belly instead, but overall it was still enjoyable. We also did a bottle of champagne with the Strawberry Hibiscus and Pepino Lime mixers, which was a fun touch and perfect for brunch. Definitely a nice place to check out for the atmosphere, drinks, and a relaxed brunch with friends.

Food was just okay. I ordered the birria con consume and a side of rice because apparently none of their main dishes come with beans or rice. Waitress only came by to take our order and deliver our drinks. Didn't see her after that until we asked her for the bill. Definitely wouldn't come back here again. Employees look mad at the world, not my vibe. read more

Came in on sunday April 12th , waited about. 10 minutes to get seated so not bad , one thing I noticed when it came to pay was that they charge for the milk for coffee .. waitress never mentions any extra cost simply says would you like milk with your coffee, which i dont like at all because I only used a bit of milk for my coffee and would really appreciate if we were told before hand that they charge that ridiculous amount read more

Decided to stop by for brunch and it did not disappoint! I ordered the 3 leches pancakes and a vanilla iced latte, and both were amazing -- the pancakes were soft, perfectly sweet, and full of flavor, while the latte was smooth and refreshing. My sister got the pan de muerto French toast with atole de fresa, and it was just as delicious -- rich, comforting, and beautifully presented. The ambiance was cozy and welcoming, perfect for a relaxed brunch. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. VACA Brunch & Beyond was absolutely amazing! We didn't make reservations since the only times available on OpenTable were later in the afternoon, so we decided to walk in instead. They told us it would be about an hour wait, but we were seated in half that time. Once we were seated, our waitress Sam was incredible--very attentive, friendly, and on top of everything. I ordered the Chilaquiles and the Tres Leches Pancakes, and both were phenomenal! I can't wait to come back and try more items from their menu. They currently don't serve liquor, but the staff mentioned they'll be getting their liquor license in December--which is exciting! If you're like me and always wonder about parking: if you go before noon, you should have no trouble finding a spot. However, the plaza gets pretty packed in the afternoon, so be prepared for a crowd. Overall, I rate this place a solid 10/10--highly recommend for anyone who loves a good brunch spot with great food and even better service! read more

This place opened a week ago so they're still tweaking some things and the food was a little slow to come out BUT the food was so good that the wait did not matter. I got the chile relleno eggs benedict which was incredibly tasty. The hollandaise did not overpower the chile relleno, which was the star of the dish. My husband got chilorio con papas with scrambled eggs, which reminded me of a classic Mexican breakfast your best friend's abuela made for you. We will definitely be back to try the enchiladas. Generous portions-we could have shared. The owner of the restaurant was there and introduced himself to us-he was very sweet. I hope this place takes off! read more

When we checked in, I made sure to tell the hostess it was a birthday and asked if they did anything special. She said they usually bring out a dessert and sing, so I told her that sounded perfect and she noted it down. The wait was about 45 minutes. Once we were seated, I even put a "Happy Birthday" balloon on the table along with gifts, but our server, Tania, never acknowledged the occasion. The drinks came out first and were good, but the food was dry and lacked flavor. Our waters also never got refilled. After we finished eating, I kept expecting some kind of birthday acknowledgment, but nothing happened. I went back to the hostess to remind her, and she said she would notify the server again. We waited a bit longer, but still nothing, so we decided to leave. I let the hostess know, and she apologized, saying it should have been brought out, and offered to package a dessert to go, but we declined. Overall, the restaurant felt overhyped. I was really hoping for a better experience, especially since it has such a beautiful interior. read more

I came here for brunch and everything was absolutely delicious. I ordered the tiramisu pancakes and chilaquiles (half red, half green) with a side of café de olla everything was beautifully plated and full of flavor! The pancakes were soft and sweet, topped with fresh berries and cream, and the chilaquiles were perfectly balanced between both sauces. Service was amazing Liz was our waitress and she was super attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. The ambiance was cozy and the presentation of the food was stunning. I recently found a brunch spot out of pure luck when vacationing in SoCal and I ended up loving everything about it. They are called Pradera Brunch formally named Vaca and their food is not only delicious but the hospitality and environment was amazing. It's important to note that the line can get pretty long so I highly recommend to sign up on their waitlist or arrive earlier than planned. Pradera Brunch is Mexican inspired breakfast and they also offer American style breakfast along with lunch items. We ordered the Chilaquiles with Pork Belly and Machaca a la Mexicana and they were both hot and delicious with great flavor and savory. The menu also has great bar drinks but also frappes, lattes, and licuados, I tried their Mocha chocolate Abuelita frappe and Horchata Matcha latte and they both were amazing and the waitress initially said it was taking longer wait than usual for the drinks so she graciously gave us the drinks for free. Although the wait was not a long wait at all but it was very kind of her. I truly recommend you try this brunch spot if you are in the area, they have two locations, one in Costa Mesa and the other in Baldwin Park. read more

If you're looking for a new brunch spot, this is absolutely the place to go. The space is super aesthetic, really cute, and has such a fun, lively atmosphere. My friend was in town for the weekend and we decided to go to brunch here. We joined the walk up list when we got there and got called back about half an hour later. Our server was Sam M and she was super friendly and attentive. She noticed I was holding my bag in my lap so she brought over something I could hang my bag on which was really nice. I ordered the chile relleno Benedict and it was amazing! I also tried the lychee mimosa and it was delicious. My friend had a fresa licuado and the presentation of it was super cute. The vibe, food, and service were all amazing! My daughter and I came for brunch on a Monday and tried a little bit of everything. The conchitas, Abuelita café, and Pink Carlota drink were all incredible. The main dishes were generously portioned and absolutely delicious. in november we tried this place for my husbands birthday - when it was still VACA & loved it. came back today and absolutely hated it, the steak skillet ribeye $50 and it was straight trash, the worst meat you can ever have, taste like shredded paper with no flavor. waited almost half an hr for our food. We came in on a Saturday morning with a party of 7 and had a great time. The wait was a little less than an hour, I gave my number for the line. Once in, the service was great with Sam. SOOOOOO YUMMY!!!! We came here for brunch on a Saturday around 12-12:30pm and only had a 25 minute wait! The parking lot can be pretty busy, so do plan ahead. The ambience was so pretty and the servers + hosts are very attentive! We had the horchata matcha oat latte, 1000/10! The texture of their foam is perfect and not too sweet. I ordered the Chile relleno Benedict and it was amazing. Had great flavor and the portion of the Chile relleno was great. Their seasoned potatoes are very good too. I didn't feel as if the food needed any extra salt or pepper! A pleasant surprise was the tres leches French toast. This was to die for! It wasn't too sweet, the texture of the bread was fluffy and soft, and their fruit was so fresh and sweet. There was a slight delay to our French toast getting to our table, and the manager ended up comping the item on our bill. Also we're greeted by the owners which was a nice experience. We started with the cheese plate, which was beautifully put together and a perfect way to kick off brunch. The birria torta and pork belly tacos were standout dishes, full of flavor, perfectly cooked, and seriously satisfying. Every bite was great. Pradera Brunch was such a great experience from start to finish. The standout for me was the licuado. It was incredibly fresh, perfectly blended, and honestly one of the most delicious I've had. You can tell they use quality ingredients because the flavor was rich without being overly sweet. The customer service was exceptional. I had one of the worst dining experiences at VACA. After driving a long distance to try this place, I was forced to wait two full hours for a table. During that time, the hostesses at the front were completely unprofessional--gossiping, laughing, and ignoring waiting guests. It felt like customer service was the last thing on their minds. When I finally got seated, I was hoping the food would make up for the wait. Unfortunately, it was horrible. No seasoning, everything was burnt, and frankly, inedible. I couldn't even finish my plate--it was so bad I considered giving it to my dog instead. I rarely leave bad reviews, but this experience was unacceptable. VACA needs to seriously rethink its service and kitchen standards. I won't be coming back, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone! read more

If you're looking for a quality brunch spot that, this is it. First off -- the lattes are phenomenal. The little added touch of cinnamon took it to the next level. Perfectly balanced, smooth, and exactly what you want to start your brunch. Now let's talk food. I ordered the brisket skillet with sausage and bacon (see picture), and wow. The brisket was unbelievably seasoned and packed with flavor -- tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection. Every bite hit. I also tried the fresas con creama pancakes, and they were absolutely bomb. Stopped by this restaurant thinking it was still Vaca, then realized it had changed. Since we were already there, we decided to give it a try. It's primarily a breakfast/brunch spot with no alcohol. Unfortunately, the service was disappointing from the start. We waited about 10 minutes at the front without being acknowledged, and only got seated after my mom went inside to ask a server. Throughout the meal, our server kept forgetting items, and when I asked for the check, she began upselling a coffee mug, which felt inappropriate given the circumstances. The food was decent but not worth the price. The decor and seating area are nice, with plenty of indoor seating and some outdoor tables. Tried the new brunch spot Vaca at the NorthGate Mercado and loved it! The place is small but full of color, charm, and great vibes. We met one of the owners who was super friendly, talkative, and made us feel so welcome. We ordered the Café de la Olla with their conchas, both were amazing! The owner even brought us some cookies to try, and they were delicious. Their menu is big and everything looks so good. The Bananas Foster is definitely a must-try, and the chilaquiles were spot on. Our server was nice and friendly and made sure we got our dishes okay after our friend mentioned being allergic to spice. She was very helpful and attentive to us. And the ambience is very nice here. Since arriving to reserve a table all the staff was super friendly ! very quick wait time & so worth the wait! Our Waitress Sam was so attentive aside from such a busy Sunday Brunch! It tasted fresh and natural, not too sweet, and you could actually taste the banana instead of just sugar. I came here today, at first the host told me that it would be a 1 hour wait and then I ended up waiting 2 hours and possibly even more. Our waiter was nice and when we received our food it was not worth the hype and money, food came out fast but the birra was ice cold and the chilaquiles were cold and salty.
