I was new to this area when I dropped off a UPS box with them. I already packed and taped the box myself. All this outlet had to do was give it to the UPS person. UPS would pay this outlet for handling my package. They only had to hold it for their next UPS pick up and drop off. On my third visit, I was rudely told a new policy was that they had to charge me $1.00 for handling my UPS packages. Excuse me? My packages were already labeled, packed and taped. They didn't have to do anything. All they had to do was give it to the UPS driver! After about a month, I became aquainted with my UPS driver who told me that any shipping company that receives packages already labeled with a UPS shipping label would be paid a handling fee from UPS! This particular outlet is owned by a former US Marine who owns another shipping outlet within 10 miles of his location. I was told the owner is making a good living running this operation so I guess he has a lot of customers supporting his business. The reason for my 1-star rating is due to their employees rudeness and unfriendliness. Charging $1.00 handling fee is gouging your customers when UPS pays you to receive packages on their behalf. My advice is to drop off your packages at any UPS Store if you have a UPS account. Better yet, use the US Postal Service for your domestic shipping needs. read more

I dropped off a package last week and it was prepaid. I wasn't charged anything. I felt that was fine since I give these people a lot of business in spite of the fact that I'm never treated well by the owner. She never smiles but still gets the job done. Today I was charged a dollar. She stood there looking, no smile, while the clerk told me if it didn't fit in the slot, they charge a dollar. For what? Putting it in a box? lost my business. Wow. Don't get the bad reviews. I've been going to this place since I moved into the area about 13-14 years ago. I've never had bad experiences at all and the owners as a matter of fact are always super friendly and know my name because I've been a customer for so long. Years ago, when trying to get passport pictures for my daughter, they even helped me to try to get her to smile. So I was calling around for pricing on postal boxes at various locations. I called here and asked if I they take the coupon from the postal annex website. A Filipino lady who answered said I could come in and they will see if they take the coupon. All due respect, I'm calling because these are not normal times and I don't wanna waste my time or my health going in if they don't take the coupon. The lady was all nice at first but she started getting indignant and belligerent, almost implying the coupon was a fake and started grilling where I got the coupon from. Btw, the coupon is from the official website; you should know your damn products. I was looking for the best prices for a box with a physical address, and this wasn't it UPS is, but even if it were the cheapest I will NEVER give this place my business because of her nasty attitude. It was a pretty busy Saturday and there was only one staff member so a lot of customers were waiting but no one seemed to mind since they sell all kids of items so everyone was just looking around as they waited. No positive experiences here. They always have multiple people behind the counter, but only 1 person doing actual work, and very slow. One time, I was mailing USPS flat rate boxes and they argued with me about the size (printed on the box) and asked if I was sure I wanted to send USPS (the only way possible) I have 2 prepaid packages to drop off and they are still making me wait in line. For what? To hand it to someone else? I just watched a man owe a customer 80 cents in change and he gave her a quarter and they went back and forth on how to count to 80 cents. They are very slow, and for no reason. This place is absolutely terrible. I don't like writing negative reviews, but no one has a clue what they are doing, they are not helpful, and you better know how you want to send something before you get there, then pray it reaches the recipient. I took my packing in today to ship and worked with an older lady with my shipping needs. Not friendly at all and actually pretty nasty. The younger girls seemed to be friendly but this women that helped me checked the cost to ship USPS and quoted me $297 for priority mail. I decided to go to the actual Post Office and shipped the same package for $55. Either she doesn't know what she is doing or they rip off people. 2.5 star rating sums up this place. Walked in today to rent a truck we went threw the whole process just for thr employee to tell me she locked the keys in the only truck they had . Sending me 15 minutes away to another location . I wanted to drop off a prepaid UPS package and I asked for a receipt. The clerk told me that their store policy is to not give receipts on prepaid packages. She said I can track it by the tracking number on the package. I have NEVER heard of conducting business without a receipt. Every other similar mailbox business has given me a receipt, so I believe refusing to give a receipt is unique to this location. They don't have to worry about my going back there. I went into this business to buy some shipping tape and send about 10 boxes. I went in to buy the tape and then go to my car to tape the boxes. The tape was $4.99 and the male employee working(seemed like the owner or manager)asked if I had cash. I told him no I'm sorry I'll use my Visa. He stated I will have to charge you $.50 extra since it is under $10. I asked him I thought that charging extra fees were against Visa's policy. At that point he flipped out and said I'll charge you the $4.99 and you can be on your way if your going to nitpick $.50. As a consumer I have the right to question any charges! He then proceeded to tell me how expensive it is to run charge cards.(Not my problem that's a part of doing business). He then stated you might find somewhere else to ship your packages. Confused I said are you now refusing my business? He stated I did not say that but since no one else is in here I can said it in a nice way. I told him I have never been treated this way in my life. For a business owner to so quickly vilify a customer and risk alienating them from your store for future business is mind boggling. If he had explained their policy for charging extra in a calm professional way maybe I would of paid it. He went from zero to crazy in 1 second. If I could give negative stars I would! Needed a drop off place for my Fed Shipments. My company requires that the drop off point scans the package and provides me with a receipt. The B**** wanted to charge me a dollar for a fricking receipt! How greedy is that? The place is full of cheap crap for sale, looks like a outdoor flea market inside. We've been with this Postal Annex location for almost ten years. Generally, they're fine for our mail delivery. However, twice in 2017 a package that was shipped to us was misplaced. The most recent incident involved having the item shown as delivered to the store. They checked it into their system, yet could locate it. I was told that someone had picked it up for us, yet they could not produce a signed pickup card. They said it possibly was returned to the shipper as the addressee was not familiar, yet could not verify the send back in their system. I realize this Postal Annex location has grown since their opening, but I am really disappointed that their tracking system is flawed. I am super happy with my experience here. I had to return a defective product to a company that was trying to make me pay for shipping. The staff here sympathized with me and gave me a 10% discount on the shipping price. Then, I called the company to complain and got a cheaper return label and, even though I had already paid, the manager, Evelyn, let me use the cheaper label even though all sales are technically final. I have had a P.O. Box here for over 5 years now and this place is AWESOME. Evelyn and all of the other employees are helpful and courteous here. I cannot recommend this place. I needed medication delivered that required a signature when I could not be home. It had to be shipped FedEx. They are listed as a FedEx Authorized ShipCenter which I assumed meant they served as a place where shipments could be received. I was informed when I went to pick up my package that I could not receive packages there unless I had a mailbox but they would release my package for $20. When I explained that I only used them because they were listed online as a FedEx ShipCenter and that it was medication that needed a signature but I could not be home, he reduced the fee to $5.00. This is medication that I will need to receive from my mail in pharmacy monthly and not sure what my alternatives are for pick up at this point but obviously this establishment is not going to be helpful. read more

The team at this store did an amazing job and my print order looked perfect and was done very quickly. The store is neat and well-organized and the staff were all smiles to myself and the other customers even though the store was quite busy on a Friday afternoon. I came in with a simple request; to print out 3 copies of the two-page Word document on my SD card. The two people behind the registers looked at each other then said that they won't take it because the SD card might have viruses. They said to instead email the document to them.
