This is the chillest post office you'll ever set foot inside. Seriously... Not only is there a random (but awesome) selection of CBD tinctures for sale here, but there's probably the coolest collection of legos in a display case hidden in the back. I could only imagine how long I would have stared at that thing if they sold the other part of the marijuana plant here. The owner is super nice and just how you'd think a business owner with random awesome lego collection in his store would be. The Postal Depot is by far the most wonderfully random place to purchase stamps or send out your mail. If you're in the area, it's definitely worth checking out. read more

This is a super convenient shop to pack, print and ship in Encinitas. Parking and access are easy as pie now that they have relocated, but the good service stays strong. Previously this shop was crazy hard to get to, it was nestled between a mobbed Trader Joe's and a preschool. Parking hounds laid in wait to pull into any available spot. I have been using Postal Depot in Encinitas for over a decade. And I have one word for you! AWESOME! It's not only that they take care of my mail, make sure I get boxes that come in, but beyond that both A.J. and Ash are two people that know how to make you feel valued. It's business, but they are both such good people, that it makes it enjoyable to get the mail. And the staff does not change. Sometimes Ash has his wife help out during the holidays, but for the most part you will only be dealing with them. When you call? They know your voice and are happy to help. To quote a note that came in our box from A.J. "I am honored to call most of you my friends". I believe that is accurate. And if we want to take that to the next level, these two men bring value, knowledge and trust and because of that you always know you are in good hands. They moved from the Ralph's/Trader Joe's Mall (Corner Encinitas Blvd. and El Camino Real) into the mall just in front and to the left where Garcia's, Betty's and The billiards hall is (pool). The move was rough on them and continues to be as their new landlord struggles with the city of Encinitas to upgrade and modernize the center. If you are someone who is connected to the city and can help pave the way to a better center for them, please step up and do what you can. I am sure with all the changes in their new mall (7-11 going out, Swami's moving to another mall across the street) what is yet to come will be an upgraded mall, that will bring more foot traffic. Personally I love that there's never a problem finding a spot. There old place was a real battle to find parking, so I am more than humbly appreciative that it's not packed. It's not smart to put your home office address on your business card. The nice thing about this particular mail and parcel center is you get an address to put on your card, not P.O. Box 123. I had never been to the Postal Depot although it's been in the center for years, surviving a long construction upgrade to boot. Anyway, I'd read on NextDoor that my tailor, Donna, was making face masks and selling them at Postal Depot, with some of the expense going to gift cards for healthcare workers. Since I'm in the target group for getting the virus, I haven't been able to volunteer which bums me out, and since masks are always needed, I bought 4. They had just gotten some new ones that hadn't been packaged yet so I was lucky. I waited a few minutes while another couple had something notarized. The staff was friendly, kept me engaged while I waited. And I looked around and saw all the things you can buy there. I definitely will be back and will tell others to check out PD. The prices are reasonable, the service is fantastic, there is no wait and the whole experience was just so pleasant. Why would I ever want to drive to the post office again? The purpose of paying for shredding services is for the shredding to be done IMMEDIATELY, ya know for security, identity protection, yada yada yada. I returned a day later and my boxes were still sitting behind the counter. I was told they'd be shredded MONDAY (it was Thursday).
