**Extremely disappointing experience at the Solana Beach Post Office.**…read more On July 30, I went into the Solana Beach Post Office to ask what would be the most efficient and cost-effective way to send a package to South San Diego. I specifically asked for guidance, and the employee directed me to purchase a package from the post office and send it via Ground shipping. I followed their recommendation, only to later realize that this ended up being the **most expensive option** and, unfortunately, the package never arrived. When I returned to the post office to ask for help locating the missing package, the experience became even more disappointing. The male employee at the front desk was extremely unhelpful and dismissive. He simply pointed me toward a website and told me I had to file a claim online. There was no attempt to look into what happened, help me understand the process, or even acknowledge the inconvenience of having a package sent from their location go missing. I politely asked if there was a supervisor I could speak with since the package had been sent from this location. He took my receipt to the back and had me wait. Eventually, another male employee came out who was equally dismissive. He read information from a piece of paper almost like a script and again simply told me that I needed to file online. There was **no apology, no effort to investigate, and no genuine attempt to help resolve the situation.** I understand that packages can get lost and that certain claims may need to be handled online. What I find unacceptable is the **complete lack of customer service and professionalism** when a customer comes in looking for help. I am leaving this review for two reasons: 1. **To warn others** who may choose this location for their shipping needs. 2. **To hopefully bring this experience to USPS's attention** so that management can address how customers are being treated at this location. I would also appreciate USPS taking the time to actually look into my missing package and help resolve the issue rather than simply directing me to a website. Losing a package is frustrating. Being treated like your problem isn't worth someone's time makes the experience significantly worse.
