I came in to notarize documents. They had three staff members and nobody in line and they turned me down because I had too many documents to notarize. Mind you they make $15 per notarized document and I had eight documents that needed to be notarized twice a piece. IThey went to the back and came back and said the manager says we don't have a notary available. Didn't even matter that I had an appointment. No wonder they have such bad reviews. I've been coming to this UPS Store for over five years, usually two or three times a week, and have always had great experiences with the staff. Everyone here has been friendly, helpful, and professional, except for Dave. Today was my first time being helped by Dave, and it was easily the worst experience I've ever had at this store. He was rude, dismissive, and handled my packages with zero care, as if they didn't matter at all. At first, I thought maybe he was just having a rough day, but after reading other reviews, it seems this is a common issue. It's really unfortunate because the rest of the team is great, but one person's attitude can ruin the whole experience. After so many years of coming here, this will be my last visit. Dave (the owner) has the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I rarely write negative reviews, but the amount of times I've had a negative experience because of Dave makes me feel obligated to say something. He's made sarcastic, backhanded, and passive aggressive comments every time he's helped me. He also does this weird thing where he pushes boxes back at me across the counter - it feels like some sort of attempt at a power move and it's very weird. Overall, he's just very impolite and unprofessional, and I hope that can change in the future. I have nothing against any of the other employees at the store, they're actually pretty nice. Honestly, I just feel bad that they have to put up with this guy every single day. For anyone reading this, please take your business elsewhere. The store makes a profit when they process Amazon returns, and I just don't feel right supporting such a poorly run franchise. I just had a similar experience with the owner Dave. He yelled at a female employee and unfortunately I was next in line to have him help me. He held the scanner at an angle to my QR code & told me it didn't scan, tried to gaslight the saying my phone needed to be on the brightest setting. I enlarged the QR code & told him to try again. Should've looked at the reviews of the store before coming in obviously there's a reason why they have such poor reviews and I experienced that today myself and also on Sunday will never be coming here again. It seems that a lot of of the local UPS stores are all miserable human beings I drive up to the Poinsettia location they are an absolute joy to work with and honestly it's worth going the distance. On Sunday a miserable old man refused to take my package, even though I was already in the store because he said he was going on his lunch break and he doesn't deal with things on his lunch break, even though I was already in the store and I said OK well, I'll just leave my package on the counter and you can scan it when you're done your lunch break and he told me no I'm not doing that so I left my package and left and somehow it magically got scanned and that should've been assigned to not go back however I was in the area and it was convenient to stop here and I stopped in again this time with a UPS package and a post office package which every other UPS store I've ever been to accept post office packages because the post office makes stops at local UPS stores. The manager of the store is a miserable old lady who scanned in my UPS package and told me that she would not be accepting my post office package at which point I said what do you mean? I literally dropped off a post office package here the other day and they picked it up and she said oh the post office comes here but they don't pick up packages. They only pick up mail and I said what do you mean they don't pick up packages I literally dropped off a package the other day and it somehow magically got scanned and picked up. Are you saying that I made that up and she said I'm not saying anything but I'm not accepting your package today. It seems that the people who work here are lazy, miserable minimum wage workers who hate their lives and seem to hate the general local population. I don't usually like to write reviews on here but I am completely shocked at the customer service I received today from the owner. I believe his name was Dave. I went in for a return but I had a shipping question about another package so the woman who was assisting me was kind enough to give me a quote as to how much I would pay. She was asking me question to tell me an estimate and suddenly Dave interrupted her in the middle of her sentence and sarcastically said I thought she's been done? And the woman tried to explain she was answering my question and he said ,"no there's another person in line" and she said yes I will help her once I'm done & Dave literally said "no she's done help the next person." And the woman said I am literally done I just have to press next. & Dave said ," no exit out of that and I'll help her." So he proceeded to tap me on the arm and directed me where to go when he was helping me he was mad that he had to help me and he asked me for the dimensions of the box and I told him I just needed to know how much they charged per pound but as I was talking he was trying to talk over me and cut me off and said ," you know this is all hypothetical right" and I said yes I just needed to know the price per pound to send to an FPO and he still disregarded what I was saying. When I have the extra time I drive further down the street to the other location (I highly recommend you doing that). Service is ALWAYS slow. Customer service at this location, specifically from the elderly man who identified himself to me as the owner, is horrible and completely unacceptable. Will avoid this location with any future business I have with UPS. My experience is consistent with other reviews: no help or assistance, poor communication, and an overall lack of respect for the cliental. My specific issue involved the UPS option to automatically redirect packages to a designated access point. Our home is located down a set of stairs and does not have direct street visibility. We often have packages misdelivered as a result. I recently selected the automatic redirect option as a courtesy for the drivers and since it makes my life easier in the long run. That was true until my experience with owner at this UPS store. Previously, with a small shoebox sized package the owner made an off handed comment about why "they" would send it to his store. I didn't pay too much attention to this initially. Today, I went to the store ~1hr after receiving the pickup notification for another package. This delivery was on the large side, and I get it is a smaller store, but it was not flagged by the UPS app and the automatic redirect happened as usual. After the first employee tried to find my package and couldn't located it, the owner simply said "I sent it back, it was too big", then walked away with no explanation. I checked my app and indeed it did say that delivery was refused and they would try to deliver it again the next day, to the SAME location. I was asking for some clarification on exactly how I expect to receive my package, and there was no help at all. Dave scribbled down the address of another UPS store and said "try them" then walked away again. His decision to refuse my package is not part of the UPS policy, as confirmed by their customer service which I called immediately after. The pigheaded attitude of this owner as if this was my fault was unacceptable, if he has an issue with the UPS policy, he should take it up with corporate and not deflect to the cliental. The only useful part of this exchange was the owner's recommendation for the other UPS store "a mile up the street". Avoid his place and take your business there. read more

Today, when I got to the door, an older man (I think the manager), was putting something outside the door, then closed it in front of me. He didn't bother to keep it open for me to walk in. Then when I got in, I asked the young man behind the counter where I could drop off a pre-paid package and the older man said he's busy! stand in that line! Very rude. I proceeded to stand in the line. He could have let me know in a kinder voice the other employee could help me. He was even rude to the other customers. He needs to learn customer service. I don't care if he was having a bad day, customers come first. I will stop going to this UPS store even though it's only 2 min from me and go to another one farther away. He doesn't deserve 1 star but there wasn't a zero stars choice.
