They make keys! But it doesn't come up when you search Yelp so hopefully it will now.

I recently opened a mailbox at this location a few months ago. During the holidays, my realtor sent me a Christmas card along with a gift card. Unfortunately, the christmas card never appeared in my online account, and I believed it was never received. I had confirmed with my realtor that the card had been mailed. On February 20th, I received a package containing my mail and the envelope for the Christmas card. However, the contents of the envelope had been removed, leaving me with an empty envelope. The envelope was opened, contents removed and re-taped. I reached out to the location via email, but I haven't received a response. I will be filing a police report next. read more

Great service! My office is across the street from this PostalAnnex in Cardiff (it's next to Seaside Market). I had an issue where I couldn't get my office keys properly copied ( I went to two different hardware stores and spent an enormous amount of time on something that should've been simple). At the recommendation of others, I went here and they duplicated my keys perfectly. The staff was very friendly and talkative. They have a bunch of Cardiff themed postcards and gifts in the lobby area of the shop along with the typical post office boxes... read more

We were visiting Cardiff by the Sea for the month of July 2026 and the Airbnb home in which we were staying could not receive mail. The people at Postal Annex (Jade and Ali) were awesome. We didn't have to rent a mailbox just for the month. They received all our mail and many packages from Amazon and called us when we received an item. They were awesome! read more

Absolutely do not get anything delivered here, they charge you a 5 to $10 undisclosed fee or will hold your package hostage, this is after you already pay a delivery fee to get it delivered to this location, very shady, completely undisclosed, I already did a chargeback, but anyone else be warned read more

They are not open when they say. Just go somewhere else. I'm sitting right here in the parking lot. Nobody. Packages on the ground. No one answering the phone. If my package was sitting on the ground in front of multiple businesses where anyone could pick it up? Well I guess that explain where my sunglasses are that haven't arrived. Also just to add. They did not open until 9:40. And as they say can provide a notary. That person doesn't come in until noon. Not put on their website. read more

Do not use this as a pickup for a package. I had my order sent here (2 blocks away) because I figured easier and quicker than home. They charged me $5 to get my little box! He said it was because they were assuming "my responsibility". Then he told me that had I picked home delivery and the delivery guy couldn't deliver it - it could be left at Postal Annex for me at no charge. I will never use them again for this. read more

Excellent service and a super nice owner! I had some expensive earrings to pick up and delivery went perfectly. Thank you!

This place charges fees if you don't pick up your package within 48 hours. The catch is they don't inform their customers of this. I picked up a package 3 days after it was delivered and they would not give me my package unless i paid a fee that i was never informed of. Very unprofessional and scammy read more

what can I say except Reese is the best warrior Jedi on this planet. With an open heart, attention to detail and a generous giving heart, Reese deserves all the respect on this planet and he probably is respected on many other planets as well. I had some really important papers to be served at the Hall of Justice downtown San Diego overnight and he made it happen for me. Having a PO Box there, I have had the opportunity to watch how Reese interacts with people that come in. From the bitchy people, to the classy people, Reese is nothing but professional, understanding and cool to everyone. Truly a class act. If you are really cool, he might show you his badass lightsaber. Would rather go here than the post office. read more

I found out yesterday that they had new management. The front staff was over the top helpful, even texting me pictires of my wrapped items for shipment. I was truly impressed with how efficient and professional they were. Thank you for doing such a great job ! read more

Reese knows his stuff and is always super helpful! Never had an issue, everything gets to where it needs to go!

If you having any shipping, printing or passport needs this isn't the place for you. Nothing actually works. Place smells. The workers dress like characters from Star Wars (actually) and couldn't be more rude. Professionalism is thrown out the door with this location unfortunately. read more

I'm a frequent customer and appreciate Katie's expertise and efficiency. Bonus that she's also a Notary. This SEH location outshines other Postal Annex stores in the area. Overall great service, in-depth knowledge, and always a friendly smile. read more

This Postal Annex location is awesome - highly recommend! Love supporting local and reliable businesses like this spot. Reese the manager is awesome and brings so much FUN to the Cardiff area with his Jedi costumes. If you're lucky enough - on his off time you might catch him doing light saber tricks in the area. Awesome business and even cooler dude!! Ask about his jewelry business too!! He makes really cool stuff!! read more

Wow! What a piece of mind! The gentleman who was working the floor seeked to help you right away. My mom was super hesitant to ship some family heirlooms at any place. Everywhere else she attempted was confusing, long waits and she walked out. While in Cardiff helping watch my dog, she attempted again. This place took her in, greeted her and immediately helped her through the renewal process (Tim). Professional, geniune, customer service. Kind and patient throughout the process, working with my mom, a 78 year old elderly; I appreciate your help here, specifically the person she refered to as Tim! Note i am writing this on her behalf, word for word. read more

Rude owner/worker. I just went in to get packing tape. I wandered to the area marked, "Packing Supplies." I was rudely admonished that I could not be there. No, "I'm sorry you can't go there. This is a private employees only area." Or, "What can I help you with?" So, I had to ask do you have packing tape. "No." So, I asked where around the area I can get packing tape. The person said she did not know. Really? Shouldn't PostalAnnex+ have packing tape. 2 stars for not having packing tape. 1 star for rude owner/worker. From a 30+ year resident of Cardiff. read more

While walking in the door I was finishing attaching my required mask on my ear and was "greeted" by a rude and aggressive man across the store informing me before I step foot over the entry line it needs to be completely in place. What ever happened to hello? He loudly said he would meet me outside. Mind you I am just dropping off a preprinted labeled box to mail and have a mask on. I'm sure he was having a bad day. But as a business employee perhaps take a breath and say hello first. I am a customer not an enemy. With such a negative experience I will go to another less convenient location for future services and purchases to avoid this kind of treatment. We are all in this together. Let's try a little kindness. read more

Called and asked about a print job. They told me to email it and it would be ready in under 20 minutes. I went in 45 minutes later and they had never even printed it. Did she (pretty sure her name was Emma) apologize? No. She went over to the computer and started printing it. I told her I was on a time constraint, and she said "it's a fast printer". Customer service is not a priority here, so I would encourage you to take your business somewhere where they care. read more

New ownership has a wonderful attitude and great service! I would highly recommend them!!! Don't judge the place by old reviews.

I've been using this PostalAnnex for the past 10 years and have never had a problem! The girls there are always pleasant to work with and have all been there for quite a while, which really says something about a company that can keep its employees. With all the customers they have, I can still go in there and they will know my name and spark up a conversation that we had weeks ago. To me that is personal and great customer service. The owner can be a bit tough sometimes, but that's just how she is. She'll give it to you straight, no sugar coating. If you can't handle it, well too bad. Yes, they do have a surcharge on regular mail and postage, but I'm willing to pay it just so that I don't have to waste my time standing in line at the Post Office (which is located right behind them just in case I wanted to). I mean really, time is money! I will pay for the convenience, thank you very much! The also have UPS and FedEx. They have some of the best cards around too. Always just what I need for every occasion. Some of my favorites are blank photo cards of Cardiff by a local artist Jaysun McMillin. All in all, this is the place to go for my business needs. They provide so many services, its definitely a "One Stop Shop." read more

HORRIBLE customer service. I have never once had friendly service. I don't even get why people go there they have a limited to no selection when it comes to products and the place is way overpriced. My favorite is the mark up on stamps, especially since there is a post office across the street. Like really? If you can help it take your business somewhere else where they deserve it. read more

So loving the new management! We had a tough couple of years with communication issues and now the new staff and owners are so helpful. It would be a giant pain to change my address for all my biz documents so thank you for your support! read more

Very convenient place, but rudest clerk ever (Joye). I get it. You don't make money on the one occasional package that customers drop off at your store for FedEx pick up. But maybe you could have the vision that by being nice to your customers, we would come and pay for all the services you offer. Currently I would rather drive 4 miles out of my way for shipping and notary services, rather than be exposed to the bad human energy of this store. read more

Omg don't go here if you want packages delivered! I just sent 2 packages to 2 different states and neither one arrived! Not only that, the most in helpful staff acted annoyed that she had to go into the computer and search for packages. Now it's on me to track them down after paying way too much for shipping in the first place. Super frustrating and I assure you there are better more helpful mailing shops read more

PostalAnnex charges $0.15 per page if you wanna print in black & white, HOWEVER in order to print a page, you would have to get it out of your USB, or CD by using their computer, which will cost you $1, or even $2 !! I have never had a positive experience at this Postal Annex. The staff provides minimal service with an 'I don't care' sort of attitude. I try to avoid going here as much as possible. read more

I went to postal annex to send my passport renewal documents to the National Passport Agency, which has a PO Box. The man assisting me could not print out a shipping document for FedEx for some reason, so he suggested using UPS, and since I assumed that because he works at a shipping center, he would know what company can be use, so I said sure. Turns out UPS doesn't ship to PO Boxes, and my valuable passport documents were sent to a random business called My Passport Pal on the east coast. I then had to pay more money to have my documents returned to sender. When they arrived back at the Postal Annex, I had them ship it again using USPS and they tried to charge me again. I told them that I don't feel like I should have to pay again since they suggested to use a company that doesn't ship to PO Boxes the first time, which seems like something they should know. After a bit of back and fourth, they shipped my package for free. After all that, I decided to give them another try today to send a package to my mother, who has a PO Box. The young man working today did not seem to understand what a PO Box is. He entered her address with just the box number. I told him it needs PO Box in front of it, and he proceeded to ask me what the address for the post office is... I told him, it's just PO Box with the number. Then he proceeded to enter in the info, charge me and print out the shipping label, which I asked to review. Low and behold it still just had the box number, with no PO Box. I told him he can't ship it like that, and he told me he couldnt figure out how to enter "PO Box". Finally, an employee more senior to him took over the transaction and she managed to get it correctly entered. I'm honestly shocked that both times I have tried to use their service this year, the employees have displayed such incompetence. I really don't understand how it could be so hard for them to successfully mail packages. I will be just going to the post office in the future. read more

I have had a mail box at Postal Annex in Cardiff for nearly 20 years. They have had different owners and managers but no one has been more business oriented as Rebecca. I try really hard to not ever have to ship anything, but I came here because it was close by. I was hesitant due to Covid... but their mask policy is great and makes me feel safe and respected. They take it seriously here which is IMPORTANT. I'm thankful for that. I was in and out in a matter of minutes. The manager Ben was there. So polite, friendly, and efficient. Gave me the proper info I asked for and he made me feel at ease about shipping my packages. I'll never go anywhere else now! The professionalism, the care and safety, and the friendliness of staff is a huge win in my book. Thank you Ben and thank you staff! Came in last minute today to print something and the guy working took me even when he didn't have to. He was super helpful even when having trouble printing out what I needed to print. I have been coming to this place for a couple years now. They have always been nice and able to assist me. So easy because its in the Seaside shopping center, but only go in there if I need to drop off mail. Refuse to give them my money. The girls that work there are rude every time I go in there. The kicker is that my husband is the GM of a very well known local business that does a lot of printing through them, and they LOVE him, but even if I go in with him, they are nice to him and rude to me. Excellent experience after FEDEX delivered my package to the wrong address. Ben, the manager spent hours of his time to correct FEDEX's mistake. Fedex repeatedly gave him wrong info and refused to resolve the problem even though their records proved they delivered to wrong address. Thanks Ben! read more

I think they must have changed ownership because it seems very different lately. In the past, customer service was not so good but my experiences these past few months have been great. This postal annex is close to me so I go there all the time. Their customer service is terrible. Ive went in a couple times because its convenient. Every time the older woman with glasses is so rude. She talks down to you if you dont understand how to box up your own package or if you dont bring your own tape with you when its a return. I understand that they wont make money on the return, but really? Buy my own strip of tape? Couldnt they be kind enough to supply one strip of tape in hopes of keeping the customer satisfied so they return and pay for other services? Im only writing this because they have been rude to me three times now. Cant just be a bad day. read more
